December Thieves. An unusual name, no? It comes from a poem by a 13th century poet, Rumi, and refers to "thieves" who stole December in order to bring about spring and rejuvenated life. The owner, Lana, believes that the name is the blueprint of the store - continuous evolution and rediscovery. And what a store. Lana has an unerring eye for discovering new and/or emerging designers. Although small, it is full of edgy clothing, jewelry, accessories, home decor and gift items.
In addition to its ever changing and unique inventory of products, I couldn't say enough about Lana and her staff (especially Jem and Emma whom I have had the most dealings with). They each have a keen eye, quickly understood my taste and now reach out to me when they think a piece would be suitable for me.
I really can't say enough positive about my experience with December Thieves. There are so few stores like this and I encourage you to support the store and its staff. This is specially the case now where the pandemic is placing so much stress on independently owned stores.
