Déco Restaurant & Bar

Wow. Not sure how we've been coming here for years and somehow missed this place. It's a cool place. Has character. Fern was our waitress and was very nice. The salad was... perfect. Just the right amount to split (large), not super fancy, just a great garden salad. It was dressed lightly (really appreciated!). My wife and I split a burger and a chicken sandwich and both were excellent. The portions were very good, filling but not ridiculously large as seems to be the trend in some other places. The fries... not sure how to call the style.. thinly cut, perfectly fried... you'll be fighting over the last one!

Deco is the bar and restaurant in Hostel Tevere. Under the former ownership it was great and now it's even better. I haven't eaten here yet, but the cocktails and the beer menu are exceptional. And it's always just so much fun to come here. To me this is the hidden gem of the Mad River Valley, maybe because we often stay at the Powderhound Condominiums next door. There's an extensive selection of mainly Belgian beers and Justin's cocktails are world class. And always a very enjoyable crowd. My photo of the beer menu shows only a fraction of the offerings.

Great vibe and the food was truly delicious! I was visiting the area with a friend and we lucked out that this place was open, the experience from beginning to end was very nice. I love the design of the bar area as well!

Had the best burger (mushroom and Swiss) here! And excellent service! Highly recommend.

We had a great meal this past week at Deco. The server was great and was quite helpful as one member of party is lactose intolerant. The chicken wings were crispy and delicious as was the brussel sprouts which were some of the best I’ve had. The burgers, buffalo Mac and cheese, and the grilled cheese with grilled onions was amazing. It had maple syrup dipping sauce which made the person having this, “best thing ever.” So it you’re at Sugarbush and looking for great food in casual but nice setting, don’t miss Deco.

Had a black bean burger. Was decadent. Or wait, maybe divine. They have a really good selection of bottles. Had something from Pohjala. My favorite brewery from Estonia. Enjoy !

This place really wants to do a good job and is very welcoming, but they were severely understaffed when we went and that caused problems. There was only 1 waitress who was also the hostess, and she did an amazing job given the circumstances! However, we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our drinks and an hour and 15 minutes for our food. Our appertizers and mains came at the same time and some of the food was only lukewarm and slightly dried out. It’s a place with potential (especially because of their well-priced large selection of authentic Belgian beers!), but they need more staff.

Wonder restaurant and bar, with great food, very diverse beer and wine selection as well as attentive service! Have stayed in the comfortable hostel a couple of times and it’s so convenient to hiking and skiing (and the bar right downstairs!). 5-star!

Wonderful cocktails and menu. Service is always friendly and kind. During warm weather, dining outside is very relaxing. The owner and staff are very accommodating. You cannot go wrong here.

Incredible breakfast. Swanky bar. Nice deck. Interesting beer list. Well worth a visit.

Deco is the restaurant in the Hostel Tevere. Their new chef has elevated the menu. It was good pub fare before, but is now even better. I had the salmon dinner with risotto. The salmon was perfectly cooked - not too rare but not overcooked. The risotto was creamy and tasty. Service by Lance and the owner Ryan was outstanding. There is a huge beer and cocktail menu as well. This is a casual, fun, laid back atmosphere. Don't let the Hostel setting fool you. This is a very nicely maintained, clean and welcoming environment.

We stopped here because we heard good things about this place. We went in on a not very busy night and walked into the bar- where we were told someone would be right with us. We waited, and waited. Not one person on the staff ever acknowledged us. There were quite a few employees but no one ever spoke to us again. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. Won't go back.
