Perfect location ,clean friendly atmosphere in a historic building. We will definitely use again if visiting Naples. Only downside is that there isn’t really a area for socialisingwith in the Hotel and it can be noisy at night, but this is to be expected in such a central location.Tip for tea lovers there is not tea making facilities in your room when you arrive, but if you ask for a kettle and cups, they will bring them no problem with no extra charge..thank you hotel Decumani.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the historic centre of Naples. The rooms are very comfortable and whilst there is no tea and coffee facility in the rooms as standard the staff are more than happy to give you a kettle and all necessary ingredients. The breakfast buffet is very varied and plentiful and Mariano and Carlo are great, friendly hosts. The location is easily accessible by taxi from the airport and walking round Naples from the hotel is easy. Watch out for scooters and don’t be put off by the graffiti which is everywhere and bizarrely is part of Naples charm. Ragu restaurant further up the same road as the hotel is excellent

Breakfast was very nice. Location is perfect if you want central Naples. Keep in mind that it is a busy center and noisy. That said, this hotel is in a slightly more quiet area with less cars and more people.

Location was very central and right in the UNESCO centro storico area. It looked a bit scruffy from the outside and I did get worried when we pulled up, but as they say you should never judge a book by its cover, as inside the hotel was generally clean and tidy. The square outside was very busy at night and tended to be full of broken glass and litter until the following morning when it was removed. The lobby is small and not somewhere where you could sit and people watch. The rest of the hotel was accessed via the lift. The room was a reasonable size but ours looked out onto a central courtyard which had cars and dust bins, not very scenic but no big deal. Bathroom was small, and shower was also on the small side. It could be used but was quite restrictive. Room was overall generally clean and adequate to our needs with aircon, safe and minibar. Mattress was on the firmer side but I wouldn’t say uncomfortable. There were communal sofa areas in the corridors but they weren’t really used. On the second floor was the very grand hall where breakfast was served 7-10am. You however had to specify what time you would be arriving. I found this a bit frustrating, I am on holiday and want to go to breakfast when I wake up and not be held to a time every day. We forgot to tell reception the night before one day and got scolded by the grumpy breakfast staff even though the room was half empty. They made us feel like it was an inconvenience to fit us in. Breakfast was adequate being a good continental selection. Hot food was very limited however. It rained for 2 mornings so the hotel provided umbrellas which was a god send! Reception staff very friendly, some of the older breakfast staff could do with a lesson in hospitality. Overall hotel was good, just lacked a communal area such as a bar etc. Not sure I would rate it as a 4 star however.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Naples We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel nestled right in the vibrant heart of Naples, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The location couldn’t be more perfect — just steps away from bustling piazzas, authentic trattorias, and some of the city’s most iconic historical sites. The hotel itself blends classic Neapolitan charm with modern comforts. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and offer lovely views of the surrounding rooftops and narrow cobblestone streets. I especially loved the little balcony — perfect for morning coffee as the city wakes up. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, offering personalized tips and always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was a delightful spread of fresh pastries, fruit, and rich Italian coffee, served either in a cozy lounge or on a sunlit terrace. If you’re looking for an authentic and relaxing base to explore Naples, this hotel is a perfect choice. I’ll absolutely be returning on my next visit to the city!

Pleasant hotel - communal areas quite grand and pretty and our room was clean and comfortable (even if the chair had seen better days). Great location with pleasant - if limited / breakfast selection. Would stay again if visiting Naples.

The hotel was centrally located in the heart of Naples, making it easy to explore the historic neighborhoods. The room was large and comfortable (although the mattress was too firm for comfort). The absolute highlight was the breakfast room, which was beautifully ornate, with an excellent spread — and the excellent service, Carlo, who was charming & gracious by welcoming us with great coffee every morning!

The location of this hotel is good. However, our overall experience was poor. Our room was small, dirty, tired and in need of maintenance. The lights over the bed had exposed wires. Rolls of dust drifted out from under the bed and side tables. The wardrobe was scuffed and damaged. We booked a room above the basic standard, this was more like a hostel. The breakfast room was lovely and a plus but please, include plenty of sliced fresh fruit (melon, peaches, nectarines are in abundance locally). A plate of watermelon was removed half way through breakfast. Presumably because it was being saved for the later breakfast sitting. Buy more! |Staff were indifferent, barely registering us leaving/entering the hotel. There are plenty of other options of places to stay in Naples. Choose another.
