Dedalo - Sensi sommersi

Excellent service in a lovely location and very good food. The cheese in the antipasto was excellent, as was my main of the veal. We were given a tour of the restaurant afterwards with explanation of the tie-in with Greek legends, which was fun and informative.

Amazing. Stunning food, wonderful ambience and what an intriguing restaurant.... It has a beautiful story behind it and its rooms just go on and on. Go and loose yourself in the Labyrinth of taste and originality of the restaurant..... It is worth it.....

This restaurant is very beautiful and luxurious. I wasn't hungry enough after eating something, so I ordered just one menu, but the food was so delicious that I wanted to try more menu items. The staff are very friendly and kind, and I feel very fortunate that I had my last dinner in Matera here. Next time I have a chance to come to Matera, I will definitely come back.

At DEDALO MATERA : The unique setting of the restaurant within an old cave was undeniably captivating, creating an intriguing atmosphere. However, the experience was marred by the owner's rigid and unpleasant demeanor, as he imposed strict rules and micromanaged our visit, leaving our party of 8 feeling more like supervised children than valued guests. Despite his enthusiasm in showcasing the small art gallery post-dinner, his condescending attitude restricted our sense of freedom within the restaurant, resulting in an uncomfortable and perplexing experience. It is evident that the owner would benefit from reevaluating his approach in order to improve the overall dining experience for his patrons.

Staff was attentive, sincere and accommodating. Restaurant was beautiful and unique.

Particularly great service and absolutely delicious food - especially recommend the crispy peppers and fricelli con concasse - sooo good! And prices are super fair - I disagree with the displayed price rating

I wanted to stay away from the touristic area and asked around about a nice restaurant to have a romantic and quiet night with my wife (since the grandparents were babysitting our then 1 year old). we were told to go to Dedalo. we had a nice walk down the hill and found ourselves in this beautiful restaurant. the ambiance was incredible and fit in to the Matera feel of being inside a cave. The service was incredible and the food was delicious. they really treated us like we were family and the chef even came out and we had a very nice conversation. They welcomed us with a glass of champagne with small pieces of frozen chocolate raspberries which were to "die for" according to my wife. And when my wife asked about what they were they said they made the chocolate themselves and gave her a little complementary bag to go. After a fabulous dinner it was actually very nice to have a nice walk around the area and back up to our hotel. I highly recommend this place

Suberb! One of the best meals and expiriences me and my wife had in our 3 week travel through the south of Italy. There’s excelent food, excelent service and a final guided tour through all the restaurant interior full of art. And you’re in Matera. AMAZING! Must return some day!
