"A neighbor of Monasterio del Viento, Providencia's only properly sophisticated hotel is up the steep hill from its seaside restaurant, the best place to eat on the island. The villas overlooking Crab Cay are like light-flooded ship's staterooms, and there are plunge pools on the terraces from which to watch the moon rise. Staff are a hoot and will teach you a bit of Creole. Doubles from $195."

This is probably the best hotel in Providencia and the views from the luxury suites are stunning, especially the sunrises. The reasons for the average rating are: the rooms and restaurant decor are starting to look a little dated, and needing a little repair although the rooms are clean. House-keeping is not quite up to scratch, for example they didn’t clear away our dirty dishes for 2 days, didn’t refill the bin bag, and other small details which I expected more from a luxury hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, both in the reception and in the restaurant. The breakfast is delicious. All in all, i had a great stay and would come back.

I would give the restaurant 4.5 stars, the rooms 4.5 starts and the service 2 stars. The internet for our block of rooms did not work the entire time we were there. During our stay we ran out of shower gel and had to ask them to refill it. A day later the conditioner ran out. Why would you check the bottles next to the shower gel while refilling the one?!? We rented bikes for 9am but they didn’t show up til 10:30. Towels wet from the rain sat on the pool lounges for 24 hours. This is the kind of service I expect from a $50/night hotel. If I’m paying over $200/night I should be getting great service. The service at the hotel was poor. On the other hand, the restaurant was great and Jeanne the manager was very nice and very helpful.

Stayed for 3 nights in a really beautiful room with jacuzzi and stunning view from the balcony. But for the prices they demand we expected a way better treatment and more attentive service, in both hotel and restaurant. Staff seemed to be bored most of the time.

The facility is immaculate, relatively speaking. It's beautifully and luxuriously designed. The rooms are tastefully appointed, when we stayed all of the sundry items were l'Occitane. They provide free water in room, curbside service once at hotel. The tile is unpolished marble, the beds are soft yet firm. The bedding is perfectly laundered. Each room has a patio or lanai facing the ocean, looking to Crab Cay. They provide complimentary wifi but the network is not optimal and there are many dead spots. The restaurant is the only reason why I'm rating this place four, rather than five stars. The restaurant staff are pleasant and courteous and they do the best with what they have, but the ingredients are not high quality. Overall the staff are very friendly and work very hard to make sure we are happy and that our needs are met. My wife loved the soap and shampoo, when we left she asked if she could buy some. They said that they could not sell here any, but they would be happy to give her some. We look forward to staying here again.

We loved our stay at Deep Blue, the room and the bed was super comfortable and the view out to the island is something special. Food in restaurant was delicious and menu varied, we ate there most nights and felt something new to try each time. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, would definitely come back and stay again!

The only hotel to stay if you want your western comforts. Beautiful location, fantastic bar and restaurant, view to crab key is inspiring. I recommend lunch comprising of a gin & tonic with Lobster Cerviche.

This is just for the restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious! Loved the outdoor seating right on the water. I believe this is as high end as dining experience gets in this island.
