I definitely would recommend looking elsewhere! We had a party of 6 and unfortunately were 0/6 on getting our correct orders. The workers were clearly drinking behind the counter and the system is so messed up. You have to order food at the bar then point to the table you are sitting at. Every time a new entree was done in the kitchen, we would watch the server go to every single table and ask if the order was theirs before moving onto the next one. We waited 1.5 hours before they refunded us for our food - which nobody on staff seemed to know how to do. I gave them an extra star because they ended up giving us our pizza for free after they worked out the refund. The wine is really good although they have lines on the glass for where the bartenders need to pour and it’s almost always an inch lower than that. The atmosphere is awesome but I won’t go back until new management is running the place and they have an actual system in place for their food process. In case you think it’s just me, check out their reviews on Apple - where their rating is much lower and everyone else seemed to have a similar experience as we did.

Easy, accessible parking. Spacious and great for conversing with bar or having a more private experience. Good vibes. Had a mulled wine to warm the bones as it snowed today. Really hit the spot. Riley, Austin, and Cameron were great hosts. I’ll be back to try more varietals and food.

Large venue situated next to a brewery and an adult games slash live music space. We ordered a cheese board and a flight of wines. Definitely drinkable wines, though the cheese board wasn’t anything special (though not bad). Easy enough to make a reservation and the space felt very open and airy.

This beer cost me $15. Wow. Tastes like a Heineken..... What makes this $15?! A double / triple IPA okay... But really?

I tried booking this venue for a work party. I was speaking with the owner, Steve Walters, via email for over a week, discussing details, as I have some staff with dietary restrictions and wanted to ensure they would have dinner options. He sent me a proposal and stated in his response, "We can design a menu for any food restrictions your guests may have." I asked what additional options would be available. TWO days later he emailed me back stating there were not any planned additions to the menu. Moments later he emailed me again, stating his GM booked another event on my requested day so I would have to offer other dates if I wanted to book with them. The communication was so slow and it took over a week to secure simple details about something THEY advertised to me upon an initial inquiry. It turns out they do NOT design menus around dietary restrictions, nor do they want to work with anyone who may have any. When I shared my disappointment and requested he as the owner override the GM, his excuse was that "about 1 in 10 inquiries result in a booking"...I suppose that is due to their false advertisements, unwillingness to work with customers, poor communication and their slow response time.

Deep Roots has a fun vibe with decent wine and good food. There are plenty of seating options in this industrial space, including a few tables with swings for seats. I went with the Pinot Gris which was light and refreshing - perfect for drinking in the warm weather. They have board games you can play at the table or you can venture into the beer hall for the giant sized beer pong and corn hole. We opted for the gross fact trivia game, "I Wish I Didn't Know". Not deterred by the disgusting facts of the game, we ordered the pepperoni pizza which had a generous amount of pepperoni in a nice, crispy thin crust. Staff were friendly. You do need to order your beverages at the bar and if you check-in on Yelp, you can get 10% off your entire order.

Great place! Stopped in for an afternoon wine + snack & loved it. The service was amazing and the gentleman was so willing to share knowledge on all the wines. This place is very cute with amazing vibes!

Housed in a big warehouse, this spot is attached to a brewery featuring lots of fun games like giant pong and an SNES hooked up to a projector. The bench swings at the tables add a playful touch, making it a very Instagram-worthy spot. This urban boutique craft winery offers gourmet small plates and is perfect for happy hours, relaxed dining, and celebrations. They have over 20 different wines made on-site with grapes from Colorado and California. The wines are supposedly carefully crafted to have balanced flavors and low-sulfite levels. The kitchen prepares dishes that pair perfectly with the wine, using ingredients from local producers and farmers.

My husband and I started our date night here last weekend. It's a very fun environment- it hey we're getting ready to host amateur wrestling and there was music and a few of the tables had swings. The wine maker who helped us was super laid back and not at all pretentious wine guy, which was awesome. My husband had the Malbec and didn't love it- but said that some time in the decanter helped a lot. I had the Madame Zinfandel and liked it a lot, but by the time my husband's wine was drinkable I'd finished my glass. We tried their port and it really stole the show for me. They only sell bottles around Valentines Day so we'll be back for a bottle or two around then for sure because it was outstanding. We'll be back for more wine and amateur wrestling the next time our son sleeps over ay my parents house too!

Came here without much thought out of sheer hanger and then we walked out very satisfied haha! The pizza tasted super fresh. We gobbled up the whole thing quick! Cheese platter was pretty satisfying too. The atmosphere itself was pretty trendy. Lots of games to try out for next time!

This place sales meat but they have vegan options. They have a quick side market with quick to go vegan options like a bah mi tofu sandwich and a box of hummus. The sandwich was pretty good considering that it has been in the fridge for a while

Listen...I was sent to visit the Bierstadt Brewery and saw a WINERY next door. I love wine, so when I walked in the door and saw this space, my mind was blown! The vibe is AMAZING! The wines are lovely, and the winemakers are super nice and helpful. Full stop. Visit this place.

Cannot say enough positive things about this place. GREAT wine, GREAT service, and GREAT atmosphere. Unpretentious and relaxing. Hidden gem -- worth the small drive out of town!!

This may be the coolest winery I've ever been in! They have lots of areas to hang out and try the various wines, multiple games, seating areas and swings that double as your chair at the table. Such a great idea to repurpose this space. There is an inside and an outside area to choose from and you can get drinks or food here along with wine or cocktails. Our server, Jackie, was fantastic! Super knowledgeable and sweet. The pizza was very good and the pomegranate lemonade and black raspberry merlot were both delicious. Great place to spend an afternoon or evening in Denver

Super duper cool venue! Ambiance is casual. Place is definitely great for dates, wine, meet up and social, or just to check out. Was here for an event. I had two glasses of merlot and tried their margherita pizza since the cook said it was a popular and favorite. The pizza was super delicious and decently sized for the price. I couldn't believe I finished the whole pizza except for 3 crusts. lol I was hungry and the pizza was excellent. Their drink menu on the wall was super cute and set up like a periodic table of elements. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service was wonderful. I would definitely come back here again. Very cool venue.

This has been my go to place for wine since my college days. Great, easy atmosphere to bring friends to chill and relax (not to get drunk). They have some interesting wines to satisfy your cravings. They have great appetizers to pair with their own wines, which is a plus!

Such a beautiful space. Great for a girls night out or date night. We didn't try the food but we should have had! We drank a lot of wine and talked for 4 hours to realize we hadn't eaten anything ha! The decorations are very cute and really liked the wine.

Best thing I experienced in Denver! We got wine flights and we let Cameron the wine maker choose our flights! This man is amazing! He's so knowledgeable and so kind! He chose the best wines for us. Let me tell you, these wines are some of the best I've ever had. The charcuterie board was also very tasty! We also had the sweet potato fries which were yummy! This place is so trendy! I def recommend!

Huge space located in Rino. Very industrial with a cool vibe. Two tables have swings as chairs and there were games that you could play behind the dining area. Staff were pleasant. Wine and charcuterie board were mediocre. For some reason they cut out the center of the brie with a heart shaped cookie cutter. The center in my opinion is the best/creamiest part. The staff did explain this was done because of Valentine's Day but I wish we had gotten the creamy heart they had cut out of cheese! The two different brussels sprouts were delicious (best thing we had!).

Deep Roots is awesome!! Really delicious wine (getting a flight to try a few is the way to go - 4 small glasses for $18) and we enjoyed a nice cheese plate on the swing seats. They made a warm mulled wine for the snowy day that was great. Service was amazing and happy hour is $2 off glasses. Will definitely be back!

Highly recommend stopping by Deep Roots Winery in Rino, CO with a group of your best girlfriends or family! This is a wonderful spot to chill, enjoy wine & food with great company & even makes for the perfect instagram post!! The service was phenomenal & I felt very attended to as well as we saw slowly more and more people starting coming as the night went on! Live music happened that night as well!! Loved every second of being there!!

First time to deep roots did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I have been to the Bierstadt Lagerhaus next door but never to the winery. We tried a flight to see what to buy a bottle of. We had multiple we liked. The pizza was amazing, the service was exceptional from Riley. The swing tables and vibe is great! Would highly recommend.

Deep Roots is a really unique spot in Rino to grab wine and play board games with friends. Most wine bars are a sit down, elegant kind of experience, but Deep Roots is different. It takes all the great aspects of a wine bad, but makes it FUN! the seating is unique and the staff are very helpful. You can't go wrong with the brussels sprouts or any of the food!

Paired with Bierstadt Brewing, Deep Roots Winery offers a wonderful space to hang out & enjoy some eclectic tastes while sipping some tasty wine. The various seating options (swings, classic table/chair, floor seating, outside benches) allows for anyone to be comfortable during their visit. Since it does share a warehouse space with Bierstadt, it's vastness also ensures you won't ever feel cramped. The food is delicious and the service prompt. There are also giant games to be played (21+) though the noise from the barrel pong can get kind of loud/be startling if they're toppled over. Having my young children with was no problem--they loved the cozy floor cushions/seating while hanging out with our friends. Good food, great drinks, awesome vibes!

It's a massive shared building with this winery and a brewery. The prices and pours are a terrible value! For 3 tiny poured glasses of wine, I was on the hook for FIFTY dollars!!! Wow, I asked the bartender to make sure it was 3 glasses of wine and nothing added by mistake and it was correct. The $50 is including the taxes, fees, and gratuity expected by workers. The wine pours were some of the shortest I've had anywhere. And each small glass was a hefty $13. I tasted a couple of whites to start, but they weren't that great. Next, I tried a tempranillo that was very dry and I liked that one well enough. It's just not a good value and the wines are ok. There are games that can be played in the center area and they also had a DJ/performer that night.

Love the super cool decor. Came with a group and we sat at some tables in the middle, but next time I want to try sitting at one of the tables with swings! I liked the presentation of the wine flights, but the service was pretty slow and one person in our group ordered food and never got it. Hopefully it was just an off day on a Sunday afternoon for them.

We were excited for a fun girls lunch at Deep Roots. Everything took a very long time and they blamed it on being busy. There were maybe 4 other tables in the winery. We ordered appetizers and it took about 45 minutes. Once we ordered them the server let us know that it would be bar service only for the remainder of the day. We ordered food (3 pizzas and a charcuterie board) at the bar and after an hour went to check on it. They told us the food order was never sent back to the kitchen. We waited another 20 minutes and finally got the charcuterie but just cancelled the pizza. It's a cute place but the service was terrible and the wine pours are TINY. Proper staffing for a Saturday would be be beneficial to everyone.

Ambience was great, wine was perfect and food was meh. Definitely come check it out but maybe pass on the food. A little pricey for what you got and the pictures will tell you what I mean! Parking is small but plenty of street space. Would definitely come check it out again in the future.

Love the decor and vibe of this winery in RiNo. When you are surrounded by breweries it's nice to have a place to go for wine. The decor is super fun at this location. They have some fun tables with swings for seats. Games to play for guests and a fun brewery on the other side of the location. My only complaint was we had a reservation and when we told the bartender (no host) they told us to sit anywhere - didn't seem like reservations mattered?

Getting anywhere in RiNo is a huge pain, so I love that there was ample parking in the lot and the area around Deep Roots. The building is great for events and cute for small groups, the tables with swings for seats looked adorable. Very instagram worthy! The pizza was fine, the happy hour deal was fine (I mean $30 for two glasses of wine and a shareable pizza is nothing to write home about, but it was fine). But the wine? The wine is... not good. I mean really just not good. Happy hour only applied to the house white or red. Generally not a wine snob, I was fine with this. Until I tasted it. The red tasted like you opened a bottle of 2 Buck Chuck a few weeks ago and you should probably dump it out, but you just got broken up with so you're sad and your standards are very VERY low. You know. When you take a swig straight outta the fridge and your face puckers? But depending on how bad the situation is you'll go ahead and drink it anyway? You know! The white was slightly more palatable. Both the house white and red were distinctly fizzy, which is usually a sign of rushed or lazy winemaking. The wine basically wasn't done cooking when they threw it in the bottle (or carboy, or keg or whatever they were drawing from). Colorado wine is not great, so this isn't even a huge deal, but the price tag attached to this place? Yowzas. We tried a handful of the other offerings, they were better(ish) than the house wines, but still... just not great. I can't see myself returning, I certainly would never pay $10-14 for a glass of really incredibly mediocre-on-the-edge-of-bad wine.

Worst wine I've ever tasted, the Sauvignon blanc had no minerality, more like a really bad Chardonnay. The Pinot noir was so bad that we threw it out. It was definitely not a wine bar atmosphere, more like a beer hall. I was very disappointed. After tasting the wine we left before ordering food so I cannot comment on the food.

Great ambiance for date night. Was in town visiting from TX so felt a little out of place. The servers at the bar never greeted or acknowledged us and as a person of color this is what bothered me the most. It wasn't until we actually got to the bar we were acknowledged after asking if it was open seating and recommendations. The charcuterie board and the wine flight was amazing overall.

Good pizza and service. However, the wine is TERRIBLE! The glass of Malbec I ordered tasted like chemicals. I took it back to the counter and the server didn't seem surprised I was returning the wine. Next time I'll go upstairs and have a beer instead.

There aren't tons of true wine bars in Denver, so we were excited to hear about Deep Roots opening in Rino. First off, the space is awesome. It shares a building with Bierstadt, so if you're feeling some beer before hitting the wine, that's just steps away. Deep Roots has a huge outdoor seating area that extends into the parking lot, so when it's nice outside you can bask in the sun while sipping your wine. We both chose to have wine flights, and all of them were tasty. I'm no sommelier, I just know that my very unrefined pallet liked the taste of the wine so it's a win in my book! I thought the prices for wine were on par with other places, unless your idea of wine is going down to your local dive bar where they'll give you a pour of yellow tail for $8. As for the food, the hits are in the small plates. The main dishes are either pasta or pizza (the pasta we had was delicious by the way), but the small plates have tons of variety. Id recommend what we did and get several small plates and one entree to top it off. Great addition to the Rino neighborhood!

This is really just an offshoot of bierstadt. The food was way overpriced in my opinion. Some cute ambience but over $20 for a paper thin pizza that feeds one person is just too much, especially when you're backed up to the game floor for bierstadt.

Perfect place for a date night or a fun group! This place is so aesthetically pleasing but not overkill, great places to take pictures if you want. We sat at the bar which is made out of wine bottles & epoxy, so cool! Our server Tessa was so helpful she gave me samples when I wasn't sure what wine I wanted and was very knowledgeable about the different wines and found one perfect for me! We recommend the Brussels sprouts as an app they were so good. 10/10 recommend this place!

Loved the wine and food. Did not enjoy the atmosphere. Dozens of grown men were dribbling sportsketballs and shooting them into trash cans the entire time, creating a very noisy, distracting environment that did not feel at all like a winery should feel (in my opinion). I guess I will go try their LoDo location, which seems like it should be a bit quieter. But like I said, the wine and food were really good! This location just isn't for me.

We stopped in last night for a glass of wine and absolutely loved what we had. The bar tenders were very knowledgeable and let us try several before deciding on a glass. Prices are very reasonable and their happy hour gets you $2 off/glass. We need to come back to get food next time:)

First off, this place is simply charming and fun! You walk in and have that tiny gasp as you take in the different environments-each offering something slightly different for the senses. There's a variety of seating options that are equal parts whimsical and fun that also add to the experience. So sit yourself down on a floor cushion or grab a swing and immerse yourself in an offering of approachable wines that have something for everyone. If you're lucky enough, you'll get Tessa, who was phenomenal through every step of the journey! From wine advice and tastings to making sure that we were well taken care of at the table, she elevated our time. To summarize, this place is a unique venue with an intriguing wine and food offering.

The servers were very helpful choosing wines. The space has a really cool vibe with 2 tables with swings as chairs. Game area, beer hall adjoining the space. Fun place for a date or girls' outing.

I am visiting and have frequented the downtown location numerous times and it was amazing. I was very disappointed at this location as there is no table service not even to refill water. We had to order at the bar and return to the bar for refills. I have had the homemade truffles at the downtown location and they are delicious. I was very disappointed as these ones tonight were cold and had apparently been frozen or refrigerated. i definitely would not refer to this as a winery or wine bar.

My experience at Deep Roots Winery was outstanding! My wife and I ordered the syrah and merlot. I had no idea what to order since I'm not a huge wine guy, but Lauren and Tessa were incredibly helpful. We loved their knowledge on wine and their commentary/customer engagement was a show in and of itself. Even their table touches left us feeling like we were at a fine dining experience! we will be back!

It was confusing for either location with no clear directions to the RiNo locale. Not even sure which we ended up at. The food was not fresh prepared, pizza was forgotten until we mentioned it and not quality. We ordered the charcuterie board and while it was ok it could have been more diverse. The wines were ok. Hubby ordered the bleu cheese gnocchi and it was prepackaged and the sauce was watery. As mentioned the pizza was late (kitchen was busy? But we were one of maybe 4 tables) and the crust was a premade cracker and flavorless. The service was fine, but hearing the kitchen cursing while I was in the bathroom was unprofessional and off putting. Overall the aesthetic of the place is nice but the food needs some serious help for what they charge. It had the feeling of trying to be fancy but fell far from that mark.

We discovered this place and boy are we glad we did! GREAT Happy Hour with a good vibe! TESSA was OUTSTANDING! She was attentive, quick and very friendly. The place has a wine bar on one side and microbrewry up top with some tvs etc. Games to keep you occupied (board games, giant jenga, giant cornhole, etc). They even have a swing bar table or two for fun. I would definitely go again!

Tried a few new wines that were delicious! Great bartender and pours. Interior was large and cozy we enjoyed the hanging chairs. Muled wine and Chardonnay were great. We will be back!
