There is a guy in the reception that is hands down the ruddest person I’ve seen in a hostel. Save your time and avoid this place at all costs.
As an example (one of many) the boy in the reception told us that we were using their services after the checkout. Guess what? It’s the luggage storage for the day we checked out. The best part is this is a common service offered in all hostels. He was constantly acting rude and even insulting us. This started when he saw us at first, without interacting with him. Then I had no pillow nor towel and he told us that he will not give it to us. After insisting, we managed to get them. I mean it’s the basics, sleep on a pillow no?
I don’t know what problem he has, but man solve your problem with yourself first, not with the customers. If not please do not work towards the public.
They will probably answer that the 6 of us (you will see their reviews with 1 star) have not stayed on the hostel. We win nothing by telling a lie, don’t trust their responses.
Edit after their response:
First, thanks for replying.
“After check-out, they went upstairs without permission and entered rooms. They used showers/bathrooms and left the garden dirty” - We asked to go to the toilet, we didn’t enter the room. The garden was cleaned by ourselves and we did not leave any “garbagge” because we searched for a bin on the street.
“They deliberately left the luggage room in bad condition.” - The luggage room is a room similar to a warehouse, which is ok, it’s just to leave the luggage it doesn’t need ti be tidy. We left it exactly the same way we found it.
“They insulted the staff in Spanish when they were properly informed. All six of them shouted together at the reception.” - We didn’t insult but we were deeply offended after sarcastic and ironic responses from the receptionist guy. Do not expect a happy smile on our faces, we were angry but there was no shouting.
Some of the claims in their reviews also do not correspond to reality:
“The claim that they were not given pillows is false; the matter was resolved at that moment and the necessary pillows were provided.” - The review explicitly says we had them but after insisting and being insulted by the guy in the reception. You were rude here.
“The claim that there were insects is also false; if that had happened, the normal procedure would have been to inform reception, but no complaint was ever received.” - Not mentioned on my review, if you complain that our reviews are not objective, please apply this to youself and make sure you answer the correct review. Thanks.
“The comment that “the location is bad” is untrue; our hostel is located in the center of Ankara, in Kizilay, and cannot be considered a bad location.” - This is true, I’ve reassigned the location score to 5.
“Saying that the staff was rude is simply a reaction because they were asked to comply with the rules. Enforcing the rules is not being rude.” - This is said because it’s a reality. Again, the guy on the reception started to make fun of our accent during the night before the checkout. Being polite should be your first rule.
“Furthermore, the use of personal insults (for example, “short man”) - Again, recheck the review you are answering, especially when you ask for objective descriptions.

I would never take reviews that far, but the guy in the reception was so rude it’s worth replying. For those who doubt, have a look at the other customer revies with low score and you will see what we mean.
