Deer Valley Park

Three spacious dog parks are located together in this area, all state-maintained and well kept. Each park is separately fenced, offering distinct areas for dogs to run and play. It’s a great spot to bring your dogs for a walk and some enjoyable outdoor time.

Let me tell you when I thought I found my new favorite park I was highly disappointed. This park is beautiful. There are two nice playgrounds, one for older kids and one for younger kids. There is a pickle ball and tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball net and even a dog park. But the biggest downfall of all is the homeless people of course. Every single time I have gone to the park there was either a tent set up with homeless people chilling. Or there were homeless people in the bathroom using it as their own personal spa or laundry mat. The park is big enough to avoid them but using the outside bathroom is out of the question. If you do end up here and need the bathroom there is one inside the community center.

Has a nice equipped part with senior center. Park has Tennis, pickle ball court, swimming pool, base ball and a soccer field and a large dog park.

Huge park with lots of play equipment, big fields of grass and a dog park !! would be perfect for a picnic. My dog and I sat under a tree for a while, and it was very peaceful with the breeze 🩷

Our family loves Deer Valley Park! There not lying about space either, no matter the size of the event this park is capable of being a host to many including your pet dogs. They built this park with a older and toddler jungle gym, 4 pairs of swings, tennis courts, basketball area, a little and big dog area, places to sit in the shade and enough benches to relax. With other obstacles this park brings it’s a of fun and very free feeling. Make sure to bring plenty water, snacks and use sunscreen if necessary. Quick trip is also near by the park for any inconveniences. Give it all your positive moments and this place will be a memory of a life time!

I still love this park. Excellent dog facilities/doggy park. Phoenicans, of many different nationalities -some even with children 😎 use Deer Valley Park. Most children seen acting childlike especially around the sand pits, monkey bars, slides, etc. Dogs are segregated by size, a nice safety feature. Near the Northwest corner is a staffed community center. In the southeast there is a pool, I have seen groups enjoying the pool(s), waterslide?! however no open swim hours for people of my vintage ~ and none planned for the future.

I take my grandbaby here to fly kites and play at playground, she always a new friend. They have a dog park, tables, tennis courts, basketball courts, restrooms, walkways, a public pool, two kids playgrounds.

I like coming to this park. It is wide open and full of fun. Time to time they organize events/activities at this location. Recently been here for the fireworks show and it was well organized. Had some trouble in get the vehicle parked as it was full but the staff were friendly & courteous in helping me out.

This dog park ain't it. I was bringing my boy here for years and I stopped recently, sadly. The people who come here regularly act like they own the place. Bringing their own nice camping chairs from home and expecting dogs to not want to pee on them LOL. It's mostly the people, not the location, that make this spot so unwelcoming now. They should ban those camping chairs from coming in. Stop being lazy sitting down and actually walk around with your dogs, people. You're ruining the experience for the rest of us.

I think these photos speak volumes. I picked up about 1/6th of the small dog borders cigarette buds and trash. If you have a dog and respect them, please respect the dogs that come and go from this parks safety. A small dog can choke and die from this and your addiction shouldn't question my dogs health. Be respectful.

My dog got kennel cough 3 different times from going to this park haven't been since :/ , it's a great big dog park but the drinking fountain must be gross , if you go bring your own bowl for your pup

Finally got the chance to try this dog park out for Sully. Just like any dog park there are pluses and minuses. Pluses: Three dog parks, there is a large dog park, a small dog park and one that is under maintenances. I suspect they do that so one is always growing and being taken care of while the other two are being used. Two separate ways to enter and leave. This is a nice touch so that way there isn't much crowding as people and their dogs come and go. Large area for dogs to run and play for either side of the park. Park benches are all around the the area to sit, although not many of them are in the shade. Have only come in the early evening but there has been a good amount of dogs. Minuses: Dog poop. Seems like some people don't do a very good job of picking up after their furry friend. Place could use a couple pooper scoopers to help combat that. Not much shade, the trees are pretty small so it might be a while for some good shade. Might want to come early to stake out a good shade spot. No water bowls for anyone to drink out of. There is a fountain but it might be smart to bring you own water for your pup. Morning minus, kind of swampy from the sprinklers in certain areas. Another minus is the light of the dog park don't really turn on at night. Didn't turn on till 8 PM. Overall I would still say it a a good park, not a perfect one but if everyone helped it and did their part I'm sure it can become a great one. Highly recommend if you have a furry friend!

Great dog park. There are some spots of gravel, but it's mostly grass. The grass is completely dead during the winter but it's pretty even and there aren't a lot of holes. There is also free community recycling drop off in the parking lot, which is great since my apartment complex doesn't recycle

Came to this park because our park is currently closed for maintenance. At first sight the park is inviting, it has a big open space for the dogs to run around in. This specific park has 3 dog park areas. One small dog side, one large dog side,and one area currently under maintenance. When you walk in you immediately see poop everywhere, most of it stepped on (which is pretty gross). The people aren't as inviting, which is not a big deal. What is a big deal is that they will bring their dogs who are aggressive or haven't had a chance to socialize with other dogs and begin to have issues with your dogs. You'll also see people bring their small chihuahua dogs into the big dog park and then get mad when their dogs get walked over by the bigger dogs. There's a reason as to why they have separate areas for dogs, people should be more respectful of this and follow the the proper park etiquette. Anyways our visit was pretty short. ‍

Nice large dog areas, well taken care of. The big dogs need to stay in there area and not mingle with the little ones, also some people just let their dogs do whatever and one man left because his dog kept getting trampled. Best to go early as not a lot of shade and it does get very hot

I enjoyed the playground & paths to walk with my child. Especially nice because it has tennis courts. There was a homeless person & all their stuff taking up a table and more. I didn't like that, feels more unsafe.

Deer Valley Park on 19602 N. 19th Ave. needs better lighting. My boyfriend took our kids here today because it was nice outside for once but noticed something that really bothered him. There's better lighting in the dog park area than the playground and parking lot. That's kind of disturbing to us, considering both women and children commonly visit parks and their safety should be top priority. Please fix this issue immediately.

My favorite dog park! Super spacious for your dog to run around and get exercise. I like that they have a small and large dog park too. always a good amount of dogs for my dog to run around with and the owners are all pretty attentive to make sure it doesn't get too rowdy. By far the best dog park in the area!!

Nice park but park employees are lazy and unhelpful. Can't get any information regarding maintenance or repair issues except a "it's not my job" response. Typical low brow government employees doing as much as possible to get paid for doing nothing. Pathetic.

Nice park, have been coming every Sunday for the last few weeks . My son enjoys the playground, great for walking around you're pets as well. Wish it had an actual dog part.

Watch your step!!! Obviously the people that come here do not know dog park etiquette. I've been here three times and each time picked up 2 or more bags of poop!!! Pick up after your dog people. No one wants to step in that sh*t!!!

Nice people who seem to be attentive to their dogs. Regularly maintained. There are 3 sections, one for large dogs, one for small dogs, and a third under maintenance. They move the maintenance area between the three sections to reseed grass and whatnot.

Awesome play park for kids! They have a bigger kid and smaller kid play area with really cool and brand new play structures--a big variety of super fun things to do for kids of all ages! There are swings for babies and big kids too and lots of benches. I like how they have the shaded canopy overhead to protect from the sun. The dog park area is huge with a small and large dog fenced in area.
