All the stars. An absolutely amazing meal all around: service, atmosphere, food, beverage, aroma. Legitimate, authentic Italian food. Daily specials that impress. Oh, and get the cannoli. Center cut veal is worth a plane ride back to the city alone. It’s so nice to actually be able to hear people at dinner in the City.

This place is great!! It's extremely nice. The staff was entirely accommodating, and even though my boyfriend and I showed up in t-shirt and jeans, they were more than happy to serve us and make sure everything was to our liking. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, polite, and accommodating, since I'm vegan and all, they made something special for me, that wasn't even close to anything on the menu. They get 5 stars for outstanding service, fantastic food, and a beautiful restaurant. This place is a bit pricey, but definitely worth the experience.

This old school (in the best possible way) Italian spot may be steeped in Italian-American classics, but they are also happy to think outside the box. Customer service is also top notch. I would like to see some simpler preparations in the entrees (big fan of grilled meats without heavy sauce), but it's all a matter of opinion. Highly recommended.

Went there twice. Did specials the first night including excellent Dover sole, all of which were outstanding. Had pasta the second night, meh. My rating is an average based on food, with a bump up for the great, attentive but unobtrusive, service.

We had dinner there last night--- elegant "jewel box". Old world but not stuffy. It as an accidental find as we were otherwise headed up Second Ave to a different Italian restaurant. Food is wonderfully presented and excellent. The veal scallopine with sage and prosciutto on a bed of freshly wilted spinach is perfect. Pastas very well made. Lots of staff-- attentive but not overly so. Generous martini which is always a hallmark of a class act/not skimping-- but glasses of wine can be a bit pricey at $20+ -- no I did not ask the price-- but it was a decent Brunello so what did I expect. What's nice is that there are large mirrors on the wall so that "the other person" can watch the activity in the dining room as well. All in all-- this will be a place to which we will return and look for an excuse to go with friends. Really glad we stumbled upon it.

An amazing place, the food is top notch and the staff is wonderful. The ambience is classy but cozy. The wine selection is sublime. Great place to bring a first date, have a family party or just hang at the bar and have a drink. This place is a gem

I took my parents from Europe there for a nice pre-Christmas dinner. The service was very professional, however, it seemed a little bit slow, but that could have been perception as I was starving. The food was handsdown the best Italian I've ever had. The price was ok, we paid a little over 200 bucks including dessert and a very good bottle of red wine. I can highly recommend this place and will return.
