Ok let's start with why it's not a better rating. First let me say, it's a pretty good little restaurant that needs to tweak a few things to be a bad ass fish eatery.
Silver ware. They brought my knife and fork on top of my food. What? Who does that? Next time , have silver ware on the table...not in my food. Also, bring out the proper fork for crab legs...a crab fork, you know the tiny ones. Ok, so my gal and I wanted seafood and to be honest I was hesitant to try this place because of the location. It's off highway 78 in an old Burger Island restaurant that was abandoned for a few years. Just not appealing to me, but anyways, the favorable reviews changed my mind. I'm glad we stopped in. I had a shrimp cocktail, meh...it was less than great. Served in a margarita glass, the sauce was really like a soup...I like a thicker cocktail sauce. I asked for spicey and it was anything but that. It was terribly bland. I would suggest using larger shrimp too, mind had about 25000 little shrimps. My gal ordered a seafood gumbo and suggested that it was very oily, but good. We both ordered the salmon fillet....it was amazing. Seriously. The best Salmon filet I have had in a very long time. Cooked to perfection and fresh. Now the sides...minute rice and an over abundance of veggies...they were good though, at least the veggies were...the rice..well thank you Uncle Ben's. Oh, we also had a dozen oysters and they were outstanding!!! Bravo! I have had oyesters at high end restaurants that were less amazing. Great job! And lately, we had a lb of crab legs...meh. over cooked and way to much cayenne pepper sprinkled on them. Please relax Mr. Powder sprinkler...you're too cayenne happy. Anyways, the ambience is nice, the service was great and price was amazing 60 bucks for everything, and we went all in. If they fix these little things, we will be back for sure. I suggest giving them a shot..they are a new establishment and deserve a chance to get better. =)
