Del Rossi's Trattoria

This is a great restaurant in this small town. The food here was very delicious despite all the different pastas that weren't available due to staffing issues. The staff here were very friendly and professional. There is plenty of parking right outside in a dedicated lot. I wasn't a big fan of our table because 1 of the 2 chairs were in-between the table and a closet leaning no room for me or someone smaller than me. And yes I did try the cream of garlic soup which is delicious. I am looking forward to going back again soon!

The food was good on our first visit to Del Rossi’s. Our waitress was very nice. We visited on our 29th anniversary. We loved the atmosphere! My husband got the chicken parm and I got the chicken Marsala. I got a bite of his and it was delicious. Mine was also good, but there were onions in it that were slightly undercooked. Still tasty ,just a little crunchy texture . The desserts were delicious (a chocolate torte kind of dessert and blueberry cheesecake ) and all made in house. Wine and salad good.. Star of the show? The focaccia you get when you are seated. Best I’ve ever had. Thanks for a memorable night out -we will return.

Never underestimate that restaurant that looks like it's in the middle of nowhere. We came for the music and will come back for the food. Appetizers came out quickly and packed with flavor. Entrees did not disappoint with perfect portions and fresh ingredients. Drinks were mixed nicely and the creme brulee was fantastic. Appetizers we enjoyed were the crab al forno, garlic soup, calamari and the 2.5lb meatballs. Entrees consisted of chicken picatta, chicken marsala, scallops piedmontese and lasagna. Creme brulee was vanilla. Music accompaniment was a local group called Eyes of Age.

Came in for dinner couple nights ago. Service was good, everyone was incredibly friendly. The place appears like it could have some real charm and be great. However… to start, the wine list lacks creativity and is overpriced with nothing spectacular to boast - but the prices would lead you to believe otherwise. I ordered the ravioli with bolognese. The sauce lacked the slow-cooked richness and layered flavor expected of a true bolognese; it came across as a quick, crushed-tomato-and-beef mix rather than a developed ragu. No structure to it at all. Music was fun but a little bit too loud. The two other people at our table had a similar sentiment about the food. Bread service was fantastic. Tiramisu was basic and seems like it came from Costco, just being honest. A suggestion of idea: try building your sauces with a veal demi and slow cooking them overnight or something and use that as a base for the bolognese and other sauces. It’ll help immensely.

Food is plentiful and fabulous. I have no pics of the fabulous bread and the creme brulee and tiramisu but it was all so very good. Great atmosphere.

The atmosphere was very good, service was great, but the food was on par to a three star restaurant. Reason being prices were very high, as we ordered 2 meatballs for $7 each we were expecting A much bigger meatball than the size of a golf ball and they were very doughy. My sister-in-law ordered the eggplant Parmesan and for some reason it overly ripe therefore it tasted bitter & sour. She didn’t eat it so we brought it home and we tasted it at home and it was horrible, we threw it away…my husband got the chicken Marcella and he left very hungry… We did check reviews before we went and they were at a 4.7

We made reservations and asked to be seated so we could watch the band. We arrived 15 minutes early. We were told we were early and needed to wait,which is fine. We waited 5 minutes and were escorted to our seats in a room away from the band, where at least 3 open tables were available. My wife informed the hostess that we reserved a table near the band, the hostess looked into the main room and found us seats. Great! We then waited 12 minutes for our server to greet us. In that time we reviewed the menu and decided on our dinner. The server finally arrived and took our order. Twenty five minutes later we received our drinks. About 45 minutes after our order was taken, we received our meals. I ordered ravioli formaggio with 1 meatball and 1 sausage. My wife ordered chicken piccata. My meal was barely warm, hers was fine. I flagged the server and informed her of the meal being barely warm. She apologized and said she would take care of it. About 10 minutes later she returned saying they were going to make another complete meal, which I accepted. 40 minutes later I received my meal. It appears they pour the sauce over the ravioli which for whatever reason is waiting and if the ravioli is not covered by the hot sauce it is not hot. As one ravioli was not covered and was barely warm again while the rest covered by the sauce was hot. We finished our dinner and listened to the band. The server came back asked if we wanted desserts, which we declined. But we did order 2 more drinks and waited 30 minutes for them, while the table next to us served by the same server received their drinks within minutes. We have been regular customers and have not had a bad experience previously. While it was not particularly a busy night, it leaves me wondering why so many aspects of this night went bad, the server, bartending, meal prep. Very disappointed.

Rustic farmhouse with a nice atmosphere. The owner was gracious and greeted us. Ravioli and meatballs, chicken gorgonzola were excellent, along with artichoke parmigiana and garlic soup appetizers. Good service. We drove 45 minutes north to take a chance and well worth the drive. We’ll be back.

Let's start off that this place is the most charming renovated farm house. We loved the interior and was an interesting clash being an Italian restaurant. The food was spectacular. We are originally from the Boston area and adore the North End. We moved out to the burbs and this place was still an hour away....totally worth the trip. I got the Gorgonzola Chicken. I asked my wife for a divorce so I could marry this dish. Just creamy and beyond sinful. Great stuff. The wait staff were friendly and affable albeit a tad slow. Nowadays, with the employment shortage, you can't really bitch about service if they're slow, but busy. It's just the new normal. Our only gripe was that the drinks were a tad weak, but worth the expense for the food quality and ambiance. Make reservations! This place appears to always be full!

Since changing ownership they have maintained the good recipes but improved in everything else! Service is now excellent, ambiance is great with live music back, and they are open more consistently. Try the lasagna, veal parm, gnocchi and the cheesecake

2 Stars and that's for the Chicken Had a Birthday Dinner setup for myself and my Girlfriend. Nancy, our server didn't even say happy birthday when ID's where checked let alone mentioning her name when she sat us down. That BlueMoon Martini tasted like soapy water mixed with Gin and a Orange. It was a Very Strange taste, I highly don't recommend. It was in the special and the name sounded pretty catchy. Next, we had to wait 40 mins for the food to be served from when we ordered. Now when I ordered I asked for Penne instead of Angel Hair pasta. Which was not a problem for them. We finally get out order And it was a Single layer of about 50-55 Penne pasta pieces. Not even a Toddlers Serving. After that I said I was ready to go and asked for the check and when she brought that over she must have sensed something was wrong, I started to mention what was wrong. She did offer to bring more pasta after I mentioned the small portion ($25 entrée) but I was already packing up my chicken that I was going to just eat at home. After I started to explain to her the issues she just walked away and ignored me. Was rather offended and shocked. Never Again will I visit there.

Del Rossi's is off the beaten path, only open on weekends, and thus has very few current reviews. That's all unfortunate because Del Rossi's is probably the best old-school Italian resto in the area. Certainly one of the best in Southern NH. There are things that stand out. Cream of garlic soup is a must try; absolutely unusually delicious. Might have a dash of madeira in it. Any of the pastas are pure Italian comfort food. The pork loin eggplant Neapolitana was simply to die for. Old standards like chicken parm remind me of my ex-wife's grandmother (in a good way). All melty with some singed cheese around the edges. And they make their own delicious tiramisù, which also reminded me of someone's grandmother.

We really wanted to eat here the other day, but after waiting in a hot dining room for twenty minutes for the waitress to acknowledge that we were at the table, we decided to get up to leave. Thank God the hostess had given us water when we sat down or else we might have passed out. It's not like nobody walked by the table; they just rather studiously avoided eye contact. Not even a "be right with you". What made this worse is that the couple at the next table came in well after us and at least had bread on their table within five minutes. So if this was because the place was busy, what did those two do to get service right away? I didn't see them flashing twenties or anything. The happy ending is that within fifteen minutes of getting up to leave, we had food on our table and had at least finally placed a drink order. But that's because we had driven to another restaurant. I'm giving it two stars because I have eaten here before and the food was fine. Not great but fine, and we had a hankering for Italian food. But I won't be trying again. Not after reading all the other reviews and realizing that this seems to happen a lot. And seeing that it's the kind of place where half the men are dressed like they came straight from a gym without changing. That's fine, but not at the prices they charge here.

I've been here three times. First time by choice and next two times because someone I was with wanted to go. But all three times the service was extremely terrible. Recently an articled appeared in the local paper stating the establishment is for sale. Had dinner there last weekend. The restaurant was very spacious and has taken good covid precautions (table spacing, plexiglass dividers, masks & sanitizers). The staff was very friendly and inviting. Service was attentive and accommodating. The have such an extensive menu that we had a tough time choosing. The food was very good. I had the chicken & pasta in a Gorgonzola cream sauce. They used a strong Gorgonzola but it wasn't overpowering. I loved it! My son had the ravioli. He wished there had been a few more ravioli but he's 16 yrs old so take that with a grain of salt. We split the molten chocolate cake for dessert. That was delicious!

I don't live in Dublin,NH but everytime I am up here to visit and stay I always go to Del Rossi. I agree with others this is a place where you never have a bad meal! Even there Caesar salad is soooo good! Such a friendly staff that work there as well! I will continue to come here and tell my friends about Del Rossis! I am actually going to come here for my birthday dinner in August!

Arrived at 6:30 for our dinner reservation for four. Seated promptly and ordered cocktails and dinner. Cocktails and appetizers came in a timely manner but our dinner entrees took over 90 minutes to be served. Not once did the waitress provide a comment for the long wait until we expressed concern. Was then informed a table of seventeen was holding up our dinners. Very disappointing and not even a free desert or drink from management. Good food but poor interest in customers.

The salad with the Gorgonzola dressing was fresh and delicious. The chicken piccata was just OK. The pasta was hard and stuck together. It needed a lot more sauce. Butter should be offered with the bread. When we walked in at least 4 employees walked by without a single greeting. I would go back to try something else.

I've had two very negative experiences here. The owner/hostess at the front could not be more rude if she tried. She did not look up from her desk even though we were clearly the only ones in there and standing in front of her. On our second visit we were "greeted" the same way- and after sitting in a boiling hot restaurant with no A/C, and no service from waitstaff, we got up and left. When the "hostess" asked if we were leaving and we said yes she gave a quick "Sorry"- if she was sorry, she would have asked why we were leaving. She is so rude it feels personal. I've heard the food is great- I'm just not sure it's worth dealing with such negative/rude people.

Wow! I am so happy to have such a good restaurant so close by! Four of us had dinner recently and the salads, entrees and wine selections could not have been better! My son and his husband are very particular when it comes to fine dining as they have eaten around the world from restaurants in Paris, London, Rome etc. they enjoyed everything they ordered. The staff was friendly and more than accommodating, very concerned about our satisfaction with our drinks and meals. My son-in-law has designated DelRossi's as a tradition in our family from now

I have always loved going to Del Rossi's and think that the food is great as well as the atmosphere. Really delicious Italian food in a cozy, farmhouse atmosphere.

After hearing how this place is an institution we had to give it a try! We LOVE authentic Italian cuisine and needed to get our fix after Marzano's closed in Peterborough. The old farmhouse transformed into a restaurant is quaint and welcoming. We stood in the waiting area for a long time before being acknowledged. A woman employee, who was extremely underdressed for dinner service compared to the wait staff (tshirt and jeans), kept coming to the counter giving instructions to waitstaff and ringing up bills. We were the only customers in the waiting area. Not once did she look up and speak to us. After an uncomfortable moment, we greeted her and she stated she'd be with us in a moment. (No hello, no eye contact) Another couple, clearly regulars, came in and she greeted them and offered to seat them for their reservation! It was extremely rude! When she returned we approached her asking if she could seat us - she refused to make eye contact and stated she'd be with us shortly. We learned not only was she the hostess but also the owner! She seated two more "regular" customers before asking a passing by waitress to seat us. Our waitress was helpful and friendly. The menu looked wonderful. The prices were high, but if this was truly high quality, authentic Italian it would be worth it. My husband ordered a special pasta with mussels. I ordered an Alfredo dish. The portions were small to average and the food was extremely bland completely lacking in flavor! They state the past is fresh, but clearly was boxed pasta. We LOVE fresh pasta and this was was absolutely not fresh. Rating the food as mediocre might be a stretch. This was an extremely expensive less than mediocre dinner. We won't ever return, and from the way the owner treated us, I don't think they really care.

I'd like to start by saying what nice people work here. It's always a much more pleasant experience when staff are kind, and they certainly were here! Quaint old farmhouse converted into a restaurant. Truly a great idea if executed properly. The food here is not good. Meatballs had a peculiar taste and were extremely salty. Chicken parm had a very thick piece of chicken (should be a cutlet) that was extremely dry. I'm still wondering what they mean when the menu states "homemade pasta" because the pasta I was served clearly came from a box. Perhaps that they were the ones who boiled it? Fine dining prices for less than mediocre food left a bad taste in my mouth.

Just had dinner at Del Rossi's in Dublin and this place is delicious. My meal was so good, chicken cabonarra and my fri d got gnocchi (homemade) and she loved them too. Such a good place to eat and staff super friendly.

Comfortable atmosphere. Cannot fine enough superlatives to describe their Scallops Piedmontese.

The hidden gem of Dublin has once again risen to the top of Modadnock dinning by boasting a fresh menu of delicious Italian dishes and friendly service to boot

Had our 14th Anniversary Supper there with the Mrs. Food was fantastic, wait staff terrific and even though they had a wedding party going one, it was still great. Highly recommend.

I have eaten at Del Rossi's many times. It has it ups and downs. This is a popular restaurant since its food is of better quality than the majority of restaurants in the surrounding area. They seem attract a lot of large parties, extended families and the like. When it get busy, the service and quality of food tend to suffer and it can get quite noisy. Portion sizes vary a lot according to the dish and are unpredictable. The cuisine is Italian American. I try to have fish based dishes when I eat at Del Rossi. Their fish is always flavorful, properly cooked and properly seasoned, though I have at times wished the portions had been larger. Del Rossi's food is not of gourmet quality but is quality is high and tastes good. Personally, I have never been disappointed (except occasionally by their prices). My biggest beef with Del Rossi's is the quality of decor and furniture. The building is a quaint old farmhouse. The interior decor and furniture are basic and utilitarian. The interior lacks atmosphere and is arranged to serve a large number of customers quickly. If customers really felt like they were in a warm comfortable old farmhouse when they were inside the restaurant, I think that they would have a much better dining experience.

There is no place else to go for Authentic Delicious Italian Food!! My friends in Concord think they know we're to find good Italian food, but so sad for them, they have yet to discover the absolute best place for Italian food in this entire State is in Dublin, at Del Ross's Trattoria.

I've never posted a review before but I'm so mad I had to. As I remember, the food was good however the past two times I've been here I haven't been seated. The older lady who hosts is terrible! We came 6 months ago tried to eat, we stood awkwardly in the hostess stand completely ignored, she finally acknowledged us rudely asked if we had reservations, we didn't she just huffed and walked away. When she came back we offered to grab a drink at the bar and wait, she didn't answer and walked away again. We left. Tonight I wanted pasta so I had to talk my boyfriend into going back, mistake!! Again stood awkwardly in the hostess stand right in front of her and she didn't look up, so weird okay..after an uncomfortable amount of time she looked up and we tol her 2 for dinner she then said good bye to what I assume regulars and then walked into the kitchen with no explanation! We left obviously! I work in a restaurant and know that the last thing you want to do is make good paying customers feel completely unwelcome! By the way, we spend a lot of money when we go out and tip at least 25%, so if you're a server just know your hostess is costing you!!

Love the food! I find it is better to make a reservation than to just turn up. A bit pricey but very tasty and it is a unique dining experience.

As mentioned in the other reviews - the food is very good, it is authentic Italian, the portions are reasonable, (definitely not big), the atmosphere is cosy and classy. The entres are about $20 each. The service is slow, but friendly and accommodating. Del Rossi's is perfect for my wife's birthday when we want to spend more time in the restaurant, not be hurried with a bill, and enjoy the Italian food that my wife loves. There are some good deals to be had, we ordered a plate of spaghetti with sauce from the kids menu and enjoyed freshly made spaghetti, with freshly made sauce was exquisite for $4.50. So, that being said, I am a man of simple tastes, prefer larger portions, of simple food with working man prices. We save this place for special occasions...

Wonderful Italian restaurant that feels like Grandma's old farmhouse (exposed wooden beams, rustic tables/chairs,old wallpaper). Cozy, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Great food. They even have a small bar, often with local artists/musicians (i.e. folk guitarists). Highly recommend for a casual date.

I have been to Del Rossi's many times. I have never had a bad meal. I often fantasize about their meals when i am going to bed. This is easily our favorite all family place. Great for Christmas or around the holidays. The prices are very good. I would list as one of the top 3 places to eat in the Monadnock area. Built in an old house, the ambiance is very rustic, classic and comforting. The wait staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. The wine selection is amazing. I can't say that anything i have ever had here has been even only good, everything i would describe as amazing. The bar area has always been quiet and i would say that this isn't they best of spots for people in their 20's as i have never seen anyone in here that was that age.

An institution for over 20 years with wait staff that have been there for many years (a rarity in the restaurant business). Amazing food - especially the butternut squash ravioli, and cream of garlic soup that people will drive hours for. Dave and Elaina will make you feel like an honored guest. Great musicians make a point of performing there too.

I am shocked that this restaurant isn't five stars on here. I used to live in the area about 10 years ago and would beg my parents to take me here. I hostessed here for a year in high school and then moved away. Every time I have been back the food has been constantly amazing! My aunt had her wedding reception here, I had a graduation party here and many special dates. The owners are hard working and the food speaks for itself. I challenge anyone to find more delicious garlic soup, handmade salad dressings, fresh pasta, chocolate mousse. I know I sound like an informercial but it drives me crazy when I see reviews that don't match the integrity of the place. My husband's a chef and we have lived on both coasts and sampled many Northern Italian places and this is by far the tastiest and most authentic. It has good up a little in price but who hasn't? I'm getting hungry again just thinking about dinner last night.

I enjoyed a lovely meal in their homey environment. The restaurant is housed in a historic building, which adds to the welcoming ambiance. I had the Haddock Sicilian, which was excellent. It came with a side of homemade linguini and fresh green beans, which were so fresh they fooled my mouth into thinking it was Summer :-) I highly recommend!

Food is decent but service is awful. I was ignored almost the whole time I was there and my water glass didn't get filled once. The waitress treated me like she was doing me a huge favor every time she came to my table. One time I tried to make reservations, I was coming with an autistic girl who would do better if we were in a little room away from the main dining room (there are a couple of little rooms) they were very un-accomadating and finally called back and told me I could come in at 530 if i promised to leave by 7. I work in the restaurant industry and that is never something you say to a guest. To top it off there was barely anyone in there the whole night so I am unsure why they were so rude about my situation and needed us to leave by 7.

I've had a couple of good meals here over a few years ago. Six of us went this past Tuesday and were told that they could seat us, but because they already had two other large parties we probably wouldn't get our meals quickly and we would have to be OK with a "leisurely" dinner. There was plenty of open seating, and the tone of the hostess was as if she really didn't want to have to seat more people. We left, I'd rather spend my money where people want to accommodate me.

I absolutely love this place. It's my fav restaurant in the area. It's an absolute treat to visit this restaurant for dinner. My favorite thing to eat here is the cream of garlic soup followed by the chicken gorg. AMAZING!!! And any of the seafood dishes are fantastic. I love the ambiance as well as the friendly staff. And I love the fact that they host a lot of musical events.

My Husband's and I favorite place!!! Meals are delicous! Drinks are fabulous! Waitstaff always friendly and helpful!! Our next reservation is for November 1, 2014 to celebrate my Husband's birthday :)

Had the most delicious Chicken Carbonara here tonight. The sauce was exquisite and the chicken so tender you could cut it with a fork. The homemade pasta rounded out the dish nicely.

Love this place. Really good food, super service, relaxed and charming. Best gnocchi I've ever had (including in Italy). The owners support local arts and sponsor music, writers' readings, and the like. Well worth the trip, time and money.

Never disappoints! Had fabulous chicken saltimbocca-- just right amount of sage and cheese in sauce. Poached pear salad - excellent and enough to share with friends. They had salmon Mediterranean with interesting local vegetables. Finished with white chocolate cheesecake-- oh my!

Bland, tasteless pseudo-Italian food. Ate there once when passing through. Crowded, I assume, because there's no place else to go...or at least we couldn't find anyplace.

Looking at the previous reviews, I take issue with both. The food is prepared fresh, not reheated like Olive Garden. This takes longer than what you normally experience so you should expect to spend more time than the average dining experience. If you are looking for a quick bite, this is not the place for you. There is nothing pseudo-Italian about the food. The owner's parents migrated from Italy and the food is authentic. There are both large and small plates so you can order according to your appetite. The menu changes frequently depending on what foods are in season. I have always found it to be good value and have sampled many things from the menu. The only better Italian food I have had, and not by much, is from the North End in Boston.

Del Rossi's Trattoria is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. We have been there many many times. The food is always prepared fresh and you can beat the taste superb. He always gets the creamy garlic soup, and I love the ceasar salad. There pasta is delicious and upon request you can get gluten free pasta which is available, just request it when making your reservation. There seafood dishes are terrific. Plenty of choices for drinks and their wine selections are great. Can't say enough about the owners they are wonderful and the staff are terrific. Waitresses are very accommodating, knowledgable, friendly and the service could't be better. Very relaxing atmosphere. Can't say enough about our dining experience. FANTASTIC!

Had a wonderful dinner with my husband and our friend at Del Rossi's this week. Food was fresh and deliciously prepared. Highly recommend the chicken saltimbocca and the traditional meat lasagna. Good value.
