Del Taco

Ordered tacos for lunch and they had tomatoes(I'm allergic), Stephanie the Manager handled the situation with the ut most professionalism, and expedited the replacement! Her staff was very understanding and helped with the replacement in a jiffy! Top notch service and the food was delicious!!!! They all deserve a raise, mistakes happen but how they dealt with it was amazing AAA+ Would recommend to everyone! Happy new year

We drive up here typically once a month (which is an hour and 15 minute drive) and always have good service and a friendly staff, tonight the night crew was especially great! Thanks for making us feel so welcome at your location!

My family and I hungrily made the worst decision to grab late dinner from this busted up place after not having any other open options close to where we were. Food was absolutely disgusting. Never had it before visiting this location and NEVER WILL again! The wait in drive thru line was way too long, 20 minutes. The service was alright but that food was absolutely disgustingly awful. Money wasted that should have never been thrown to del taco.

I got three Del Taco's and all three were pathetic! Like they put regular taco quantities in the bigger shell🤨 The shells were super hard and stale. I had to give service 2 stars because they didn't make the food correctly and the store smells horribly. Therefore, I rated the atmosphere as a 2 because it smelled horrible, and staff didn't seem super pleasant...just there for a check type mentality! Sadly....i would Del Taco's over Taco Bell, but maybe I'll have to save my visits for out West where they always Rock!

This place has gone downhill. Every now and then Del Taco sounds good and I drive 25 minutes out of my way to curb that craving and the last two times I’ve given them a shot I’ve been disappointed. The flavor is fine but everything is slapped together hastily, hard shell tacos are soggy, and sometimes slimy for some reason (I eat within 5 minutes of picking up my order). I’m not sure I’ll be back for a while.

The whole team working tonight were happy and welcoming. They greeted me and gave me an update on my order. I did have something forgotten, but they were quick to right it and appoligize. Very happy to return.

I was looking forward to eating there, but it was a no-go. Both the soft and hard tacos were loaded with so much cheese that it was pretty unappetizing – just chunks and curds of cheese everywhere. Not sure what went wrong, but it was way too much.

Ordered at drive thru today. Waited, Waited and waited. Finally got to window after it appeared two vehicles in front of us gave up waiting. I sat there for 5 minutes. No service. Not even an update on food order. Notice 2-3 people meandering inside on phones. Left. Will not be returning. Service was horrible and you wonder why you have a 3.7 star rating on google reviews. Not good.

There was no wait when I got up to the speaker and no one behind me. I didn't feel rushed. I finally decided on the guacamole chicken burrito but subbing beans for the chicken. I'm vegetarian. I think I mentioned 4 times that I wanted beans instead of chicken. So you don't want cheese? Yes, I do, just no chicken. Sub that with beans. Ok. So no guacamole? Yes, I want guacamole. I'm a vegetarian, I just don't want the chicken. Everything else on the burrito is perfect. Guess what I had on my burrito. Pulled through and the woman who took my money was so very apologetic. The guy STILL didn't get it. I feel like there are enough vegetarians now that this shouldn't be this difficult. Got my new burrito and it was huge, but looked absolutely nothing like the photo on the drive through menu. I had less than half because I lost my appetite after having chicken in my mouth for the first time in over 20 years.

Every time I go here my order is wrong. I just paid all this money for six soft chicken tacos and a chili cheese fry and they gave me two soft tacos and a chili cheese fry with no fork and yes, I understand I'm complaining about chicken tacos and chili cheese fries, but come on #bs

This was the place I used to visit for veggie burritos, but I'm tired of chewing on raw crunchy rice. I won't be back.

Service was great. I have never had my tacos so nicely made and wrapped. Thanks to everyone working there!

Food is good service is quick a the place is cleanand they always get my order right. I like Tacos and they are larger and look like a Taco should not like Taco Bell wimpy and skimpy. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have Taco specials. I always stop by when I'm in the are. I hope they open a Del Taco in Westland Mi Bye Bye Taco Bell

This is a great location that is well taken cared of! Q, the manager is very personable, informative and leads his staff by example. The food was excellent and the facility was nice and clean. Great job and the next time I visit the city I'm definitely popping in to say "Hello"

NOTE: This general review is based off of my memory as this review popped up when I was going to write another review (which will happen btw) and I went here during summer 2023. I will be going back to make more in-depth reviews on this wonderful restaurant in the future. For this I can't give this spot a 5 star rating yet. The location is easy to spot via the well-lit sign as shown in the picture. The ambiance was inviting both inside and out. The interior looked clean. As for service, the drive thru was quick especially on a Friday evening during a Summer in Michigan. I honestly forgot everything I ordered but I do remember that I got 2 burritos and I felt the size of them justified the price I paid (under 10 dollars for two burritos comparable to one from Qdoba or chipotle). I will be going back to get more food and perform a more in-depth review. It was a drive for me as this location is about an hour away from me but I will be making that drive this year. And I can't wait for that time to come.

The bathrooms are disgusting and look like the haven't been cleaned in weeks. Hair in the sink dirty floors and the smell. Omg the smell, it's gag inducing. The workers are swearing up a storm in front of the customers. Telling stories of fights and them doing things with opposite sex. Overall gross and not worth stopping in. Go to jersey mikes or something somewhere else.

We went to four different McDonald's that are supposed to be 24 hrs, but every one of them was closed on new years. We happens to pass by Del Taco and they were open. Not on were we glad to be able to eat. But the customer service was amazing. We were greeted with a friendly welcome from Matthew. Our food was piping hot, we got all the sauces we need and he made us feel like we were someone important thank you for great customer service

If i could rate this zero stars i would. Last 2 trips have been bad with ether missing items or food quality issues. The first trip being last weekend with snack taco shells tasting like bad oil/chemicals were baked into the shells. Not eatable! Today's trip was a door dash order. Queso loaded nachos and a 2 del taco meal. The order was missing a large fries and a Large coke zero and the queso loaded nachos were not eatable! Soft raw chips! DoorDash/del-taco offered only a $2 refund for all these issues. I basically paid 26 dollars for 2 tacos. Dont ever go to this location! The quality has dipped so far low its sad. Used to be the best del taco around!

We ordered a pretty good amount of food for 2 people. We hadn't been here in a very long time. All of the staff seemed miserable here. I couldn't tell if it was the manager making the staff miserable or the other way around. I think the manager was being unkind to the staff. Every table in this restaurant was very dirty. All of our food was horrible. It was nothing like we remembered it. We threw half of it away. We came specifically to try to the fish taco and couldn't believe how small it was compared to the other tacos for the price. I wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. I emailed their customer service and have heard no response from anyone about my experience.

Food all incorrect. Only received half of my ordered items. Don't bother trying to customize and ask for something without cheese or a sauce because they don't care and will make it with everything regardless of any dairy sensitivities or allergies. So don't come here if you want to get all your food and if you want any of it to be even remotely correct. Worst experience ever. I'll be going back to Taco Bell forever and telling everyone else I know.

I have been to this location too many times. I go, then I remember why I don't. Service is slow, bordering on neglectful, and quality control is non-existent. You can order 4 tacos, and each one will be made differently. I like their food, which is why I keep trying, but this location is really not good and not a good representation of this food product. It's a fast food, mostly take out place but they have booths and tables for those who want to eat in.

This is for sure the worst place I have ever eaten at. 10/10 do not recommend. I pray for anyone that attempts to eat here.

Came inside to dine in but.........it took 15 minutes before some took my order. There was no one in line. Made eye contact with three different employees and talked to another with no response. Kitchen area was dirty, floors were sticky. I don't think I will be returning to this location again.

If I could muster the strength to go here again, I'd love to have my SO go to a sitdown restaurant and see if she beats me back home in the time it takes me to get through this drive thru. LITERALLY 40 minutes...and we were THIRD in line. Never really seen anything like this, frankly. Plus, this is a 'trap-thru'. You can't give up after waiting for 20-25 minutes. This should be illegal, frankly - what if you had an emergency? Luckily the food was impeccable. Oh wait, no, it was a complete mess. Half filled hard tacos. Cold soft tacos, falling apart.

If you are a fan of the Netflix series, "Grace and Frankie", you will recognize the Del Taco brand. And although I was familiar with the restaurant, I never had a chance to visit before. And I was definitely unaware of the portion sizes. I had the queso-loaded nachos and burrito plate. Both were unexpectedly huge. I could only finish a portion of the cheesy nachos with steak. I loved the thin, crisp tortilla chips that tasted amazingly fresh. I was so full though, I could not even take a bite of the burrito. The next day, the burrito heated up well for dinner. The flour tortilla was filled with carne asada steak, beans, and cheese and smothered in red sauce and more cheese. A few avocado slices topped the burrito - a nice touch. The plate came with rice, chips, and more beans. I had to have dessert because, churros. I went with the mini churro dipper shake but was disappointed by both. The churro was a bit stale and the shake was icy, instead of creamy. However, my curiosity about Del Taco has finally been satisfied. Service was quick and friendly.

Just got handed my order in the drive thru and it was wrong. I understand mistakes happen so I patiently waited for him to return. He made eye contact with me but would not open the window. His associate told him to open the window and I seen him say no. I was literally just robbed by this place.

Ugh I usually get 2 tacos soft beef but I can't eat beef all the time! Today I went through the drive thru ordered 2 chicken soft shells! What the heck!!! Thought I was eating cat food if I ever thought about eating and texture of cat food but I know what it looks like. Wasted $4.01 yuck

Recently got uber eats. The order was right and delicious, BUT the included ZERO sauces. We requested sauces with the order and got NONE. C'mon, how hard is it to read the order and add sauces. . Food was good but reduced stars for incomplete order

My son had never had Del Taco before, so I thought it was time for him to get the full West coast experience as he was born in Las Vegas! I was killing time waiting for my car to get a window tint, and asked him what he wanted. He said he was going to peruse the menu and get back to me. He placed the order online, and I told him to make sure they had a pickup option, as I couldn't roll my window down. He said there was, and I headed there when I was done with my errand. I go to the door? There's a sign on the door saying the door is closed, and that ALL traffic goes to the drive thru (uber eats, grub hub, etc.) I had to go to the window and open the door to get my food. got home with the food and a great variety of sauces, as I didn't know what my son wanted and he's never been. He wasn't a fan. He said "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually like Taco Bell over this!" My daughter also didn't like whatever she ordered, all I saw was brown guac on top. I did try a tortilla chip though, and that was really salty. In the end the majority of it was just thrown away. I guess he at least gets to say he's tried it now?

Never did me wrong, i like tacos, Don't you? Better than Taco Bell in my book .... Never had my order did wrong now

Miguel area supervisor wrote up the whole store because he won't do anything he can not cook steak then he still refuses answer his phone when he needs him even though he wrote people for not calling him make it make sense

The woman who rang us up was wonderful. She waited on us with a smile and a delightful, light-hearted happiness that was refreshing. We hadn't been to Del Taco in 15 years or so--before they were in Michigan! We were a bit surprised at what we thought were steep prices for fast food. Thankfully the food was good, but I would not deem it worthy of the price tag. Anyway, my husband had the seasonal tamales, and they were surprisingly very tasty! I got a chicken burrito with guacamole, and it was decent. If there was one thing to improve on, it would be the way the burrito was put together. There was a LOT of guacamole and bean in the end of the burrito, and then all the chicken was in the middle with none of the toppings nearby, so it was just straight up chicken. The rice was kind of stuck in there in it's own little spot too, and then the other end had a little guacamole and rice. It would have been a perfect burrito if, when I took a bite, I got a little bit of everything in each bite. I ended up throwing half of the meat away because it wasn't appealing without any toppings. I also would prefer a choice of chips as a side instead of fries. I guess that's a Del Taco thing. I don't know. Anyway, there was a decent amount of food, but it wasn't worth $9+ per person. I just feel a little blessed that we were waited on by such a friendly, fun-loving person. :)

Can't review the food as I was told on 3/31/24 @ 11:00am that my order for twelve tacos was too much and needed to be smaller. Didn't wait around to find out what she considered small enough for them to handle.

Horrible experience. Messed up my entire order. What I tasted (which was a terrible mistake) literally made me feel sick to my stomach. Waste of money. Can't follow directions. People have allergies and other concerns. Won't ever be back.

Food is fine. Standard del taco. Service poor. I online ordered at 5:13 for a pickup time of 5:30. We arrived at 5:40. Food still was t done. We had 5 items, 4 being tacos and burritos. Nothing fancy or complicated. Finally got our food at 5:55. What took 40 minutes?!? And when we got home the soft shell taco was missing (making us have 4 items) and I asked for no tomatoes on my carne asada fries and there were tomatoes. So yeah, prob not coming back anytime soon. Not worth it.

With most of my visits I've found myself waiting 30 minutes+. On top of that, they closed the inside of the place. The people were fine, but the service was horrible.

This was the first time I tried Del taco never again tacos were worst ever. Sloppy nasty and not appetizing. Never again. Only thing good was the fountain soda.

The manager(?) just came to my car window at 10:04 PM yelling at everyone in line to leave. The hours online say that they are open til 2AM. We could not back out of the drive safely, so she came back by the car and said "that's fine, you can all sit there for 15 more minutes." I won't be back to this location, or maybe to Del Taco ever again. Edit to add: witnessed this employee shouting at a customer of color who was also in line, but didn't hear the details.

I've only been through the drive through and never inside so my review is solely for that experience & food quality. I've never had issues through the drivethru and they've always been consistent with my order and I have always received the right items but then again I've only ordered one or two things at a time. Also, they're always nice and patient when you decide what to order and nice when they give the order. I don't go here often but I do still get overwhelmed with what to order because I'm not sure what's good or not on the menu. So many options. Also, I have never actually been to this drive through with a major wait or line which is refreshing. The food has been ok. Sometimes I give it a chance and try something new once in awhile. I've gotten the fish/shrimp/beef tacos, sometimes a hit or miss on taste, temperature heat, & freshness. The churros are pretty decent too. Today I ordered the chili cheese tamales. Tastes like a tamale and it comes with two tamales. It's a good amount of food for $5 but I felt like I needed rice on the side. I also should've ordered it smothered or plain. I feel like the chili just took the tamale taste over. Overall, I'd definitely come back through the drive through and try other things, but just haven't found yet the food that I would go back for at Del Taco. Drive thru service = 5 Stars Food = 3 Stars

They food nasty as ever..... they strawberries that's for the strawberry sprite be molded ,dried out & it be soggy the beef for the tacos taste like dog food they lettuce & other veggies gotta stay cool on top of Ice ‍ it's a mess they never keep they area in the store cleaned most of the time they always got trash on the floor & when customers order they food it takes more then 15 mins for the customers to get they food it's sad asl for a restaurant like that to be serving people they food Del Taco in Livonia,MI needs to be shut down ASAP

Normally I buy tacos. Had a coupon for buy a grilled chicken taco get on free. Looking foreward to the Del Taco quality for a cheap lunch. Well I say where's the grilled chicken Geez. Boy they'll give you plenty of beef taco meat. But today no protein. I don't know if it's because I used a coupon but man swear to God there's wasn't what I deem to be an acceptable amount of grilled chicken. Hey Del Taco you owe me two grilled chicken tacos. Don't be so cheap with your customers not good for business.

I wasn't sure what this would compare to, but we got some take out today and I tried it out. I had some beef tacos and bbq beef fries. The tacos were kind of plain (a basic meat, cheese, lettuce type of deal) even after adding hot sauce. They reminded me of Taco Bell, but I havent been there for a few years so my reference point is probably off. The fries were okay and had more content than the taco did (fries, bbq sauce, beef, some greens, cheese...), but the whole time I felt they should have been nachos instead of fries.

We ordered the chicken quesadilla and two tacos. The Tacos were average, I would not order them again. However...the quesadilla was soooo nasty and disgusting to even look at, we threw it out. The paper stuck to the tortilla and it looked like cat food mixed with orange goop. We attemped to try it but we both gagged and decided it was not worth it. I should have drove back and returned but not worth the time/gas money. I also was charged $2 for a bottle of water when I asked for a cut of water. I am disgusted how much I paid and that I had to throw it out.

The pandemic has caused them to shrink serving sizes. This was the only fastfood place my family and sit down and eat. Judging from our last visit, No Mas.

Good fast Tex Mex food that is superior to Taco Bell. Yes, superior than them. Seems more meaty and generally discernible ingredients.

First encounter with this brand on east/ mid west area! Really happy to visit this new location near ford assembly plant. Food as good as California units. This location being new is very clean though limited seating and few booths. Food crunchtada with beans I'd really say it's two or more taco beans with half price. Also only place you can order fries at taco place ? Will definitely drop in again..quick service even though lunch time

they always understaff food quality is almost never good costumers be waiting more than 5-10 minutes just to order and another 5+ just to get it

Disclosure, I was invited here as a blogger to taste their new salads. I went here today with my parents. The closest Del Taco to me is the Clawson one (which is like a 5 to 10 minute drive) so this was a bit of a drive for me, about 35-40 minutes. However, I was highly impressed with this one vs. the Clawson one - it seems like this one is newer (opened about 10 months ago?) and I know it has a different owner than the Clawson one. As a result, it had a more modern look, and it was definitely more comfortable too. I tried the new Mexican chopped chicken salad, and I liked it. The chicken is the same ones used in the tacos (I usually get a chicken or turkey taco when I go to the Clawson location) and it was topped with pico de gallo which gave it a bit of spice. My mom ordered the same one as me, and my dad tried the Taco salad, with beef - you can choose turkey as a topper too instead, if you like. That would have been decently healthy but I HAD to have the cheesecake bites for dessert, they are always phenomenal ... yum. My stomach hates me when I have dairy but these are worth it :) I somehow managed to stop myself after eating only one but we ordered a 4-pack since there three of us. (my mom was definitely NOT unhappy about 'having' to eat the extra one ... just sayin'). I'd come back to this location when in the area, the staff was very friendly too. I think it's the closest location to my parents' place (Novi area) as well.

Line was a little long, but to be expected. Once we got to the speaker to order we were greeted right away! Placed our order and were at the window in about 5 minutes. Received our food promptly and ate in our car since we couldn't eat inside anywhere. They gave us plenty of sauce, a mixture of mild, original and hot! The rice was a little undercooked but other than that everything else was . Will definitely return when I am in this area again.

If you're allergic to dairy or vegan, just don't go here. They never get the order right, they mix cheese into everything, and they act like you're at fault. I always ask for a receipt so I can know if they got my order right, and somehow, they never can give me one. I'd like to contact corporate to complain about this. This is a health hazard. Also, great thing about them is: you have to wait over a half an hour for your food, so they really have time to mess up your food!

So how to I contact corporate? The past two times I've gotten the vegan tacos it's had beans mixed in with the meat but no mention of beans in the description and they weren't like that before... so I'm not sure if this is laziness or what but they are absolutely disgusting.... also they tasted like the beans had pork fat in them which will surely make me sick this evening so I'm VERY upset. Not only does it not fit in my diet but that goes against my ethics.
