My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Delamar and had the best time! The accommodations are fresh, refined, and perfect for a weekend getaway. Its location is great, right next to the Seaport museum and far enough away from the noise of downtown. You can easily walk to downtown, or the shuttle service is convenient too. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the river, relaxing by the pool, the delicious restaurant, and the peace and quiet. We also brought our dog, who had a great time too! The staff was kind and helpful, and we left the weekend feeling refreshed.

We stayed during the soft opening and deliberately chose a room with a nice view. Unfortunately, we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor next to the exit and directly in front of a maid’s storage area. The window barely offered a partial view of the ocean, and there was a door right in front of our bed through which we could hear everything from the neighboring guest, including coughing and conversation. At night, the AC was also quite loud. The amenities were from Bulgari, and we were so impressed with the body products that we ended up purchasing them for ourselves after the stay. While some of the front desk staff came off a bit distant, we were deeply touched by a woman working in the evening who went above and beyond to assist us when several amenities were missing in our room—likely due to the hotel not being fully prepared yet. Despite the breakfast being modest, it was lovely—bagels, salmon spread, juice—all simple but delicious. The exterior was still under construction, and the pool hadn’t been built yet, but I can imagine how beautiful it will be once complete, especially in the summer. Everything was brand new, making the stay feel exceptionally clean and refreshing. Still, we were quite disappointed with the room assignment. It wasn’t peak season, and the hotel clearly had many rooms available, so it felt unfair to be given such a poor location. It wasn’t just the fact that it’s a new building that made us happy—it’s the hope that cleanliness and hospitality continue even after the hotel is fully operational. If I visit Mystic again, I’d still love to return here.

I wholeheartedly recommend Delamar Mystic. This hotel goes beyond simply offering you accommodation during your stay in historic and charming Mystic; Delamar is an experience in and of itself. Newly constructed, this hotel is modern but maintains thoughtful and tasteful design. The nautical theme is present throughout, from the compass mosaic in the elevator, to the wooden boat suspended in the oyster bar, to the brass drawer handles shaped like boat knots. The style flows naturally with the beautiful blue Mystic River visible from every room, the lounge, and the hotel's restaurant, La Plage. The waterfront construction was not finished during our visit, but I am sure that the pool and outdoor seating will be beautiful additions. The hotel is located on the eastern bank of the Mystic River and conveniently situated between Olde Mystic Village and Downtown Mystic, offering easy access to the Mystic Aquarium, shopping, restaurants, museums, and boating experiences. If you do not feel like driving, you can walk to most locations or take advantage of the free shuttle service provided by Delamar. Each time we called, we received a prompt pickup within ten minutes. Guests also receive free admission to the next door Mystic Seaport Museum, which offers exhibits on ship building in Mystic and an entire village of historic buildings filled with interesting exhibits and friendly, knowledgeable curators. The finishing touch on Delamar Mystic is the exceptional hospitality. The staff are kind and polite, greeting us at every opportunity and actively seeking our feedback on our stay as they further refine this already outstanding experience. As someone who does not often stay in luxury hotels, I am so pleased to say that Delamar Mystic is worth the visit.

GORGEOUS HOTEL! This hotel is brand new and absolutely stunning. Perks: complimentary bubbly upon arrival, car service to downtown Mystic, valet, hot breakfast and continental, and admission to Mystic Seaport. This is ALL included in your rate- which is amazing. We enjoyed the pool right along the Mystic River and the communal places to sit after dinner. We’ve been going to Mystic for years and we’re so excited about this spot- a new favorite for sure! We only had an issue with the temp of the room- it was either very warm or very cold- but that is the only complaint. Everything else is top notch.

This was an amazing visit! One of the best experiences I’ve had. Brand new, luxurious rooms, perfect location and service were beyond the expectations. Restaurant and lounge are beautifully decorated. Stuff is very attentive and professional. We had a wonderful girls weekend getaway. We enjoyed every day of our stay there. I highly recommend Delamar Mystic to anyone who wants to have a special time away from home.

The Delamar in Mystic was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The service, the room, and location was perfect. Everything was super clean and new and the heated pool overlooking the river was amazing. The service, hotel employees, valet, and transportation services were top notch. I can’t wait to visit and stay again!

Very well designed new hotel on the Mystic River. Beautiful views of the river--more relaxing than an ocean view. Excellent room designs. Excellent restaurant. Wonderful patio and other seating areas overlooking the River. Excellent staff and service. Highly recommended and we will return soon.

We had such a wonderful experience at Delamar Mystic's Le Plage restaurant. The grounds are absolutely beautiful — the setting is serene, elegant, and thoughtfully maintained. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. The food was exceptional. We especially loved the oysters and the charcuterie board — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The drinks were perfectly crafted. We mentioned to our waiter that we’d had our wedding at another Delamar location a few years back, and to our surprise, the manager sent over a complimentary mini hot chocolate and butter tart to celebrate the occasion — such a thoughtful touch that really made the evening feel special. The table settings were also gorgeous — elegant without feeling stuffy. Delamar Mystic is a gem — refined, welcoming, and truly memorable. We can't wait to come back and stay over!
