Delhi Darbar

We had a sizeable group, but we had ordered ahead which made for a smooth and fairly quick process. The food was good, loved the variety in the plate of the day. The garlic naan was delish. As was the mango lassi. It's a fairly small restaurant, but it was cosy.

Great place! Recommend it. Ambiance: nice decoration with lovely Indian song to make a relaxing ambiance. Service: very professional and friendly staff. Food: excellent! A wide variety of meal to choose from the menu. We chose the number 18 (don't remember the name), it was extremely tasty and very generous portion. The lamb and chicken was perfectly cook. Several prawns as well. Cocktail : we took a special drink, a limonade with lemon and rose. Very tasty! Go ahead, you'll enjoy your meal there for sure 👍🏻

Amazing experience with great Indian food. I personally recommend taking the mixed plate that contains lamb, chicken, grilled cheese and some lentils, with rice and delicious bread. Oh, and a mango drink included in the price is a nice surprise. Especially tasty is the lamb meat they serve. Simply... the explosion of taste!!!

One of the best Indian food I had in Finland. They serve very authentic Indian food especially chicken chilli and tandoori chicken! I will definately like to be back one day when I visit Turku again!

Came for lunch, and they had lunch set. Chicken curry with Naan, daal and yogurt set for 14.90€. Value for money however the curry was not as spicy as I'd like it to be. Naan was good. They have free salad and fruit too. Not that far from Kupittaa train station.

Most unfriendly and taste less restaurant ever had in my life. I have been all over finland and tried various indian restaurant and this is the worst of all. The lady server when we asked for the bill, she told go and pay in the counter rudely. It was the most disgusting food i ever had. Iam writing this because I usually check the reviews before trying their food. This restaurant had good reviews which deceived me. It should be a wake-up call for people before visiting this restaurant.

It did not mark up to my expectation... the prices are on the higher side of the average price, but then the quantity served is more... I had lentil soup and eggplant fritters for myself. The lentil soup was the star on my table, but the fitters were a disappointment. Similarly, my husband's meal was an average meal too...

My girlfriend has been telling me that this is her ABSOLUTELY FAVOURITE Indian Restaurant in town, for the past four months. So, tonight - 22:15 - with very little options left, we ended up coming to Delhi Darbar and... it's my favourite Indian Restaurant in Turku FOREVER and I will make a point in turn it into ALL my friends, family and acquaintances FAVOURITE too TOP

Nice - rice comes with insect rice weevil as an added protein! No problem with curry - its genuinely delicious. Told the waitress about the rice weevil, was told back it was a cumin spice

Ok, so I already liked Delhi Darbar before writing this review, but had an experience today that demands a five star. With the COVID lockdown we ordered our meal online and collected at the restaurant, so far so good. When I got the order, I noticed that one of the four meals that we had ordered was missing. The manager told me it would be 15 minutes wait for the missing meal to be prepared. Not a huge deal since everyone is adapting to ordering food online during the lockdown. While waiting I went out to my car to listen to some music, and I noticed the same manager running down the street with my order in hand. Rather than wait for me to come back to collect the food, he dashed out and found my car to make sure I had the food as soon as it was possible. As an added bonus, an extra parcel of lovely warm naan was added to the order. At home, the food totally lived up to the standard inside the restaurant. This is a great establishment with lovely people. I'm glad they're in Turku.

Tasty, authentic Indian food. Came here with my parents for dinner, and we enjoyed it so much that we returned a couple nights later for another visit! Our favorite dishes included the palak paneer, dal, and onion pakoras. Great food! I recommend it to anyone visiting Turku who is craving some good Indian food.

Great dinner very tasty. service was excellent! Me and my spouse had beef vindaloo and chicken jalfrezi. Meal comes with rice, naan, and a small salad. They have many options for lots of different tastes and diets. Vegan and vegetarian friendly as well so many great choices. I will always bring family and visitors here if they want Indian food. They also do take-away, so just call ahead after looking at the full menu online and go pick your food up to eat wherever you please.

Traveling through Turku, stopped for dinner on a Saturday night. No tables available inside, but luckily could sit outside, sheltered from drizzle. Happy we came--ordered the special meal, lamb madras, that came w small salad, naan, dahl, rice, raita. Everything was excellent--spiced perfectly, tender meat. Dahl was among best I've eaten. Quick service, house red was excellent. Price was moderate--14.50 euros for all except wine. Seemed to be a popular take-away business as well. Recommend highly.

My siblings and I were out celebrating, trying to decide on a place to have lunch. Indian restaurants in Finland have a fairly uniform quality in that none are really bad but few stand above others. However, I rarely visit Turku and thus today we went in blind, following local recommendation. Despite there not being enough space for all four of us we were accommodated and served very quickly by very friendly staff. What's more, I was very pleasantly surprised by the food and now look forward to visiting Turku just to go try this place again. More in-depth analysis to follow. For now I'll just say this: Wow!

Best ok food but not as special as I thought it might be reading the reviews. You can do much better in Turku!

Been there few times. It's an average food if we compare to food in most of Restaurants in Helsinki region. Yeah it's famous restaurant in Turku but food is not mind blowing. Service is fine.

We had contacted the restaurant beforehand to ensure the service for a large group of eleven people is as efficient and pleasant as possible to both parties. In spite of emailing the restaurant with our orders, they were completely unprepared for us, and we had to start the whole process from the start as we arrived in the restaurant. Moreover, there were absolutely no efforts to compensate for the mistake, and the service was not particularly good in general.

My home away from home when I'm in Turku. This is a reasonably priced Indian restaurant that just gets it right. The owner really cares about your meal and the staff are friendly. Proper service with china and tablecloths, and the food is presented in brass serving bowls, with naan and a salad. Good mid-range food, and priced so you can eat here all the time. I especially enjoy their lassis. A great place to have in the neighbourhood.

Amazing service. Big and delicious portions. And price is moderate. I had the lamb, my wife had chicken in curry and spinach. Both were amazingly tasty. The restaurant is very beautiful from the inside with Indian atmosphere. I will definitely come back.
