Sat outside with our dog, whom they provided fresh water for. The lobster roll, which my husband ordered warm with butter, was the best lobster roll he said he’d ever had! It was a very generous portion of lobster meat on a toasted bun, dripping with butter. (The picture was taken after he took a bite or two out of it.) I had the fish & chips, which was also delicious and a very generous portion. Will definitely come back here the next time we’re in Rockport.

I am so happy that the Red Skiff, now named Delisi’s Red Skiff, has been kept open by such nice people who also live in the community! Today was Jessica & Al’s second day open and I dropped by for a late lunch! Everyone was so friendly and there were so many great dishes on the menu. I was having a tough time deciding between the steak bomb and the meatballs. Jessica, the new owner’s wife suggested the steak bomb and then included a meatball to try! Both so delicious! Breakfast menu also looks great! So delighted to have such a nice choice in downtown Rockport! While I was there, a representative from one of the local schools came by to procure an auction item for a fundraiser! I was so impressed they said yes with the doors only open one day! I got to meet Jessica’s mother-in-law , who made the meatballs! Antonella!!! Best meatball I have ever had!!

What a great little gem of a place. I was on a mini getaway with my daughter and granddaughter and ate here every day. The food is delicious. The pl who work here are like family. I met the owners they come say hello. My baby granddaughter loved it too. Definitely will be back!!

Excellent small town locally family owned restaurant. Homemade muffins that are killer on the grill. My favorite omelet is Nonnos Garden, veggie packed and delicious. Their fishcakes are also incredible. Lunch is a must try, arincini (rice balls stuffed with cheese, beef, peas and deep fried) are always amazing. Their sandwiches are delicious. You definitely need to time it especially with crowds in the summer. However, it is always worth the wait.

My husband & I stopped in for breakfast while on vacation in Rockport & this was one of our favorite meals. He had the Irish Eggs Benedict & I had fried eggs, corned beef hash & potatoes but the star of the show was the Coconut Pineapple Muffin that they cut in half & grilled in butter. We ended up getting a second muffin to go & ate it for breakfast the next day & it was still really good. We only spent 1 day in Rockport or we would have come back for lunch because my husband wanted to try the Lobster Roll 🦞 😋

Google
Nice little breakfast spot. Food was cooked well. Light crisp hash browns, cubed up. We both had the eggs Benedict with corned beef hash. And a side of sausage. Will be coming back!

Love this place. The new owners are doing a great job. Try the arancini. Fried rice balls stuffed with meat and covered in tomato sauce. Sooo yummy.

Went there for breakfast on September 28th. I came in when they just opened and had the place to myself so i had a chance to talk with Al and Crystal. they are great people and they match their great eats. i was really hungry so I had fried eggs, home fries, and french toast. All was delicious. You have to same room for their homemade muffins. I had a cranberry and orange muffin it was out of this world. In fact I took two home. If you are in Rockport and want a great Breakfast....head to the Red Skiff!

Yelp
I came here with a friend for breakfast and it was not only cute and cozy but also delicious. I got the eggs Benedict and it was done so well. It was so much I could have shared! I highly recommend getting the blueberry muffin and have it grilled and buttered. It was to die for! I wouldn't recommend sharing the muffin because you will want the whole thing. It's probably a good thing I was just visited because I would eat those any day every day! It didn't have bathrooms which isn't an issue since there was a public restroom around the corner. The service was great, the waitress always made sure our drinks were topped off and was very nice.

Yelp
My favorite meal of the day has always been breakfast! Had a recent girls weekend away to Salem, Airbnb was in Rockport. This place was in a great location on the main road within a short walk of the Airbnb. I had researched great Yelp choices for restaurants and tagged this as a gotta visit! Glad my friends spotted it and said let's go! Adorable, friendly, welcoming, local place (could tell by staff interactions with customers they knew each other well). Sat right at the counter facing the kitchen and watched these amazing gifted chefs at work. Had to have that gorgeous mouthwatering blueberry muffin!! Yummy! Split it with my buddy. If you have a sweet tooth, love cinnamon rolls, pancakes and pumpkin (hint of) get the cinnamon swirl pumpkin pancake!! Server said "psssst, don't add on syrup"; I was skeptical but she was soooooo right!! Scores up there as the best sweet breakfast I've ever had. I got boring after that-over easy eggs, toast, corned beef hash. Ooooh that hash though!! Honestly though by the amount of them coming out of the kitchen, their Bennies must be phenomenal. I really wanted one but lactose intolerance limits me (grrrr!) So, have one for me and let me know how incredible it is!!!

Lucy C.

Yelp
Breakfast was great. I had a breakfast burrito w/ bacon and still warm from oven blueberry muffin that was to die for. I tried a bite of the pumpkin pancake it was good very sweet. The service was great they worked with my vegan friend's diet. The atmosphere was great small town breakfast place, where you can mingle with the locals and visitors from all over. Must try this place.

Yelp
Good food, good service a little noisy but it's happy people! Guess you need to expand for the kids section

Jess J.

Yelp
Went for a sleepy winter Rockport breakfast and everything 100% hit the spot. All five of us ordered eggs in a different way, and each was expertly prepared. We highly recommend the sourdough toast and getting a stack of pancakes for the table to share. The vibes, the service, the portions and the prices were perfection.

Anita L.

Yelp
Amazing food, atmosphere and prices. They were so accommodating for my vegan needs. My friends loved their breakfasts especially the blueberry muffin !

Maureen R.

Yelp
Warm, friendly people and great food! The avocado, egg & cheese sandwich for breakfast was perfect!

Scott B.

Yelp
Great food service is top notch. You can't go wrong and a local family business Try to stay local as much as possible

Joe S.

Yelp
1 star because 0 isn't an option. Got our table and they ignored us till we finally left. Others were sat and got coffee, etc while we waited but we somehow became invisible or something

Harvey L.

Yelp
When you're on vacation and looking for a local a breakfast place, this is it. Friendly and competent staff. They know what they're doing. Service and food were excellent. Ample portions with hot coffee.

Stewart L.

Yelp
We stopped for breakfast and were totally pleased. Reasonable priced and good food. We sat at the counter and could watch the cooks making our breakfast. Nice local place and now is our breakfast spot while visiting Rockport. Great breakfast place!

Kiersten L.

Yelp
Great service and delish food. Very friendly staff/quant diner feel. Highly recommend

Gennie L.

Yelp
i ordered the lobster roll ($18.99!) - it was delicious! it comes with fries and a generous amount of lobster. the lobster was chewy and flavorful. customer service was good, and the waiters were friendly. there's a section towards the back of the restaurant that overlooks the harbor and has beautiful views of the water. parking is a bit tricky. street parking is quite limited. overall rating: 10/10

Yelp
First time in "The Red Skiff" last Friday morning, perfect seaside town local breakfast/ lunch spot, complete with friendly locals, awesome staff ( mad props to Al and Crystal) and a great breakfast, seriously anyone not poking in here for a bite and conversation is missing out. Thank you both.

Matt C.

Yelp
Good, hearty breakfasts. I really like the friendly staff and the regular turnout from locals. Outside seating in the summer and friendly counter seating all year long. Great for families.

Kerry D.

Yelp
Basic breakfast food, with one exception - fish cakes! Great friendly service. Small place, so in season, must be crazy!

Heidi L.

Yelp
Excellent Fish & Chips. Very fresh. (perfect crisp on the outside, tender juicy white meat on the inside). The simple slaw on the side was not overly sweet and fries seemed avg but freshly fried. Wish they made their own tartar sauce, but hey. cant have it all. I was a bit skeptical of the Tuna Poke Bowl, but the server reced it, so gave it a try. Not bad. The sushi grade tuna was fresh indeed. The "coconut rice" (not sure if the server meant coconut milk infused rice) was fine, though I would have preferred them not to be drenched in sauce. The cucumbers, pickled red onions, and splash of white wasabi sauce on top was quite nice. Not sure what sauce soaked the rice that overwhelmed the dish, but the fresh tuna and (pop to my tastebuds w the) subtle wasabi dressing made up for what was overdone. My picky son had the grilled cheese w fries. nothing special there. They are known for their lobster rolls so had to try one. We just tried the one from Lobster Pot in ptown last week, so it was hard not to rate the two between each other. Id say that in terms of New England lobster rolls (if 1 = McDonalds lobster roll and 10 = something in maine that I've yet to try), I say LP = solid 7 and this place is 7.5. (extra .5 for doing the butter toasting of bun justice) Came with the standard fries. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is because the waitress forgot to bring us utensils and water and though I don't mind eating salad w my fingers (traveling Nepal a few months in my 20s taught me well), it seemed a given to offer that right after seating. Overall, the waitress was kind and helpful. It was also that I had to sanitize the table with my own wipes and the residue told me it had not been wiped down yet that day. (though I could be wrong and perhaps there's a lot of debris passing this area). 1.5 yr prior I'd not care, but my son's not vaxxed yet so im hyper vigilant. Even still, Id lean closer to 4.25 rather than 4 stars Note: their Hours today were 10:30am - 2:00pm Not sure how that will change as covid impacts lift. Also, they are not serving breakfast yet. Im told they will begin in another week or so. Call ahead before you arrive if breakfast is your thing. They do not take reservations (at this time) if they did ever. Id come back for sure. Hard to find a place that serves iced coffee/caffeine (for me), above avg lobster rolls (for hubby), and kids menu (for the ever picky little one) in one spot near scenic view.

Yelp
Saturday, September 8, 2018....had to catch a flight home out of Boston, but wanted to get in my last lobster roll....for breakfast. There's no shame in lobster roll at 10am. Or ever, frankly. And it was a good version and it made me supremely happy. I really did want to try the anadama toast but just couldn't miss out on my last lobster roll for awhile. Hubby and son got regular breakfast fare and enjoyed it. We sat at the counter, which we enjoy, and watched the kitchen through the cut-out. Wouldn't hesitate to return!

Yelp
If you're in the Rockport area, make sure you check out this super cozy quaint spot for breakfast/lunch! Seating is super limited with about 6-7 tables and bar seating. But don't let the size of the restaurant scare you away, this restaurant packs a great punch with food! Along with a full breakfast/lunch menu, they have about 5 specials daily ranging from "Chickpea Breakfast Bowls" to "Crisp Chicken BLT Wraps," to a "Portuguese Grilled Cheese" which probably tastes as delicious as it sounds. Being basic AF, I ordered their Chicken Cesar Salad. The parmesan tasted like it was freshly grated and the chicken was super fresh. My sister and mom both ordered their Lobster Roll, which came with huge lumps of lobster meat, piled onto a perfectly grilled & buttered roll. The fries that came with their meal were crisp and fresh. The meal took about 15 minutes to come out, which meant it was made super fresh IMO. Service was warm and friendly. Things to note: they don't have any public restrooms, but there are some right around the corner 30 seconds away. Check this place out, your taste buds will thank you! ;)

Yelp
My favorite place in Rockport! Breaky burrito and Anadama bread pancakes! Yummmm, don't miss this little jewel!

Yelp
I'm giving the Red Skiff three stars because they are local people who really seem to want to do a good job, but everyone in the building needs training. The server stands at the counter with his back to the dining room just staring at the chef while he cooks. The only time he turns is if the door opens or if a guest goes up to the counter to ask for a refill or something he forgot to bring. 5.30 for a 6 oz glass orange juice that came out of a plastic gallon jug. If it were fresh squeezed, I could understand but "Florida's Best" is 2/4.00 at market basket. The tall gentleman man chef needs to let go of his pretension and learn to make more than one dish at a time. Good lord, I've never seen so many unnecessary steps in a simple eggs Benedict. The hollandaise is homemade so he gets props for that, but it's doled out like it's made with 24karat gold. A dry Benedict, in an empty restaurant, shouldn't take 35 minutes to construct. I asked the boy for a little more hollandaise and he delivered it to me 8 minutes later in a two ounce bullet and charged me &4.00 for it! $4.00 to correct something that wasn't made properly... ouch. I did try to reach out to the manager privately to give feedback but my email went unanswered. I guess they do fine enough business with "one and done" customers. I highly HIGHLY suggest getting someone in to help with organization, training, consistency and plain old fashioned hospitality 101. The line should be out the door in bearskin neck for the only breakfast joint. But any given morning - no waiting.

Tina R.

Yelp
The breakfast sandwiches are very good and the service is great. I also appreciate the outdoor seating-- our dog was happy to sit with us.

Tw S.

Yelp
45 minutes from ordering until the food showed up. 45 minutes for an omelette, scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns and a couple of English muffins. Everyone else in the place already had their food, so no idea what the hell they were doing in the kitchen that took them that long...

Frank M.

Yelp
Super slow service and no value for your money. Salad was all lettuce. Chicken wrap with barely any chicken and very small. Recommended other restaurants in the area.

Lloyd M.

Yelp
Great food, fast friendly service. I had anadama toast with my omelet. It's now my favorite food. The place seats 18 people at tables, and five more at the counter. It was full the whole time I was there.

Robert S.

Yelp
I loved the clam chowder !! Nice big bowl of creamy, tasty chowder with bits of clams all over !!! My lobster salad was just OK, not the best I've had. It had a pinkish/reddish hue that I found a bit odd, but it was light. The steak sub was big. Pieces of chopped steak filled this sandwich. The flavor was good, but again, not the best I've had. Overall, I would go back for the chowder...

Gabe K.

Yelp
Great little breakfast diner. Quick service and nice small town vibe. Stopped by here on a whim while staying in town for the weekend. All of their food sounded good. I had the french toast and eggs benedict with nova lox, I was not disappointed.

Laura A.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast especially lobster egg Benedict in an adorable area is Rockport. Generous portions, and clean restaurant. Seats about 20 people in this small space but still roomy enough and good for kids as well.

pAUL C.

Yelp
The hash here is absolutely 5 stars. Wow. Bakery whole wheat bread and good coffee. Best brekky diner food in this area!!!

Hannah M.

Yelp
Super friendly waitstaff, but the food fell a bit flat. We ordered: Nutella pancakes which are NOT stuffed with Nutella as advertised in menu - rather Nutella is spread between 2 stacked pancakes. Bacon on the side. Chickpea bowl which was OK. Kind of like chickpeas in canned soup with an egg on top. Nothing amazing. And a smoked salmon BLT which was supposed to be lox, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and cream cheese... It had mayo instead and mayo=/=cream cheese :-o With all the options of food in Rockport, we will skip Red Skiff next time around.

Kimberly D.

Yelp
I had lunch at the Red Skiff while in Rockport for the weekend. The inside is adorably decorated. It's pretty cozy with a small amount of tables and a bar area. I was in a party of 3 and we got lucky and grabbed the last table they had open. I ordered the Haddock Fish and Chips which was delicious. The fish was light, flaky and, of course, very fresh. My dad ordered the Salmon BLT which was also very fresh and flavorful. The star of the meal, however was the Portuguese Garlic Shrimp that my mom ordered. I had to stop myself from stealing all her food! The shrimp were cooked in an amazing garlic sauce with spices. They were served over home style potatoes that soaked up the yummy sauce. The combination was fabulous! The waiter was nice, but he forgot to take my drink order and then brought me the wrong drink. It was just an accident and not a big deal. Overall, the Red Skiff is a cozy little place for a simple, fresh seafood meal.

Natalie W.

Yelp
great breakfast spot and they have really good gluten free toast which was a relief to find options for gluten free bc there isn't much in rockport that is gluten free. would definitely return!

R B.

Yelp
average food nothin to write home about tough parking not too many interesting veg options not really into carbs

Tricia W.

Yelp
Cute lil down home feel cafe. Brought the family, sister and nieces here for a midweek lunch as we were showing them the sites. The waitress was so spot on it was almost scary lol! They didn't have a kids menu but told the nieces they could ask for anything and they actually did accommodate! Oldest niece wanted chicken fingers, which she got a huge plate of. The other, age 8, was intrigued by the menu that said "Pancakes and French toast" and thought she could get both, lol. Which they did do for her, just smaller serving of each and she was thrilled with it! The adults got two fish and chip platters, and a chicken sandwich. All three were big servings and so super fresh. The fries appear to be the twice fried kind and were a HUGE hit all around. Tons of locals coming in for their lunch which is always a really good sign. The place was super clean and nicely decorated. We will def be back again!

Yo P.

Yelp
Food are very great. We had a breakfast but feel like a dinner. We're very full. I loved the creamy clam chowder with bits of clams. The egg benedict is really soft and delicious. The breakfast burger and the lobster roll are great. My husband and I really like this restaurant.

Amber L.

Yelp
First of all, I would give 0 stars if I could. We live locally in the area and drive by all the time. They always look busy, so we thought they might be worth checking out. It was a slower day, so we finally popped in. The waitress told us to sit at any table. A different waiter came over and asked us for our drink order. So far this all seems very normal for any breakfast place in the area, especially a small place with only a handful of tables. Unfortunately it quickly went downhill from there. They came over to take our order. Three more tables were seated, including a larger party. Our order never came out. The waitstaff never came back to our table to even ask if we wanted to refill our coffees. About an hour went by, and more tables came in, ate, and left, our order never came, and the staff never checked on us. We had to flag them down (it took multiple attempts) to inquire after our orders, which weren't even special (no modifications, allergies, etc). The only time anyone came over was to ask after our salt/pepper shakers to bring to another table! I will for sure never be coming back, or recommending this location to anyone. Easily the worst service I've ever had, anywhere, truly. If you're looking for a nice spot to grab a meal, I would absolutely recommend anyplace else.

Lauren L.

Yelp
Adorable place with great food and lovely service! There was a waitress here on her first day and she did great!

Joseph W.

Yelp
I loved the Lobster BLT and kind service! Great pancakes for the kids too! The prices are very reasonable too. Come check it out.

Valeria R.

Yelp
I had the tuna bacon melt sandwich and it was very delicious. The service was very good too.

Jaclyn C.

Yelp
One word to describe the very unbelievable & unmatched lunch experience my boyfriend and I had one cold day at Flav's: YES! Ten hours of YES! just for you!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_xjBAd5G84 Yelp never has yet to steer me wrong, and how can you NOT have a lobster roll, clam chowder, AND fried scallops and shrimp in New England?!?! That's like going to NYC and not seeing the Empire State Building! I loved everything about this place - the service, the space, and of course, the FOOD! We even bought their T-shirts for $15 each! Why? People in NYC need to know about this place! Have you not seen these portions?! They are outta control! And the prices?! They could make me cry with joy! Clam chowder: Creamy and made with love. This chowder is packed with clams in every....single....bite. It is impossible for you not to! We got the cup portion (later regretted instead of the bowl) for $3.75 or so; you can't bet that! Lobster Roll: Served on a single piece of folded toast, it was so simple, and yet so pure, I felt like a virgin - experiencing lobster for the very first time! And...is that...omg...it's a pickle on the side!!! YES!!!! Oh man!!! Two fried combo: My boyfriend got a champion's lunch with everything fried on his plate but the coleslaw. The scallop shredded in my mouth to total perfection; it's the way God intended it. Probably one of the best things on the menu besides the Fisherman's Platter; I would get that next time for sure. Glad we came in here and enjoyed hot food on a freezing day in March - right in the heart of the off season! Hope to be back when you're in full swing!

Jack M.

Yelp
Unbelieveable. This place doesn't look like much, and I actually didn't want to eat here. But ho-ly mo-ly. Best seafood EVER. The broad got a lobster roll, which she claims no one has yet to beat. I got scallops - which I am notoriously picky about because they are usually sandy and tough. Not here - best fried scallops EVER: soft and buttery. It was like eating butter. I think my liver just gave out. It's a simple place. Nothing fancy looking. But we were both so blown away that from then on, whenever we have seafood, one of us will say "It's good, but remember our lunch at Red Skiff??"

Shelley S.

Yelp
Delicious food, creative kitchen, and look at the adorable pancake art!

Bret O.

Yelp
It pains me to write this because we've generally had good meals at the RS - but yesterday the service was so bad it's worth noting. Normal busy - but not insane Sunday - were seated relatively quickly but were then ignored for the rest of the visit. Party of 4 - our simple breakfast food came out in four very separate waves - all of which was after two groups (who were seated at the same time) had ordered eaten and were paying. We had to ask for coffee refills, cream, syrup and other items that would be normal no brainers for attentive waitstaff. No acknowledgement or apology offered. Food was fine - but experience was damaged by the poor service. We still tipped 20% and will come back - just hope to have a better experience next time.

Lucy L.

Yelp
A great place recommended by the general man working at the tourist information center. The portion was so big that neither of us could finish our dish. I love the 3-D paintings on the wall! It only opens for lunch so it was a bit crowded during at time. The service was awesome! You should defiantly try it if you visit Rock port.

Sara S.

Yelp
Came to the Red Skiff for the first time after many recommendations from several residents of Cape Ann. We came at 7:30am on a Sunday morning (restaurant opens at 7:00am), right before the crowd. By the time we left, the restaurant was completely filled with some people waiting for a table outside. I ordered the breakfast burrito with a grilled blueberry muffin - both were delicious! I highly recommend getting the grilled muffin if you come here. If you drive here, there's metered parking (for Sundays and holidays, you still need to pay the meter). I'll be back for breakfast here again!

Julia B.

Yelp
We're locals and just love this place. Consistently good and the waitresses are always super friendly and sweet. It's a small place yet they always accommodate us with a baby which really makes me happy.

Judith M.

Yelp
Unbelievably reasonable prices. Totally perfectly done Yankee Standards. (that was my mother in laws stew there, I swear.) Great, professional staff. Kind of amazing solid down to earth feel in the midst of tourist hell: Go.

Virginia S.

Yelp
We entered to find no seats for 4. The waitress fixed that for us by moving two table together and getting us seated. Waitresses were so friendly they made the experience even better. My 18 month old son saw other people getting their food so he got a little upset. Lol. A waitress asked if he could have oyster crackers and brought them over so he was eating till his food came out. Food was very good. Loved the home fries. Eggs Benedict was perfect. Overall I would recommend!!

J S.

Yelp
Really cool little place in an old town kind of setting. Staff was super friendly, I forget the waitresses name but she was awesome!
