What an idyllic camp spot, right on the Meander River in the very historic town of Deloraine. The park is kept very neat and tidy, as is the amenities. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The bird life is abundant, lots of Ducks, Geese, and Platypus in the river. We stayed a week and would loved to have stayed longer, but the rest of Tasmania is calling. stayed longer, but the rest of Tasmania is calling.

Beautiful quiet location. Walking distance to shops and nature walk. Amenities block was very clean, and the shoeers were great. 2 trains during the night did not disturb us.

Fantastic location being along the river, Wild woods trail and so close to town. Great walks around. Platypus, trout, fishing and swimming. The guy does a great job in keeping the park clean and maintained. Reasonably priced too. Most photos are of what you see around the park. Highly recommended!

Most sites back on to the river... a beautiful setting and good facilities. Seniors discount applies, to add some more value. And a really pretty town within walking distance of the caravan park.

Good value caravan park beside the Mersey River. Easy walk into the centre of town. Viewing of Platypus nearby with a free walking tour. Good level sites, very clean amenities and off ground fires allowed. A great asset for the town 👏

Some places just get it right. This caravan park, perched on the banks of the Meander River, isn’t just a place to park your rig—it’s a front-row seat to nature’s quiet, unpolished beauty. The water moves lazily, platypuses glide through the currents, and the occasional train rumbles past, a reminder that the world still turns beyond this little pocket of tranquility. Deloraine is just a short stroll away—a town where time slows, the coffee’s decent, and second-hand stores whisper stories of lives once lived. Take the loop walk along the river, cross the suspension bridge, and breathe in that crisp Tasmanian air. At just 40 minutes from both Devonport and Launceston, this place is a prime base camp for exploring the region. And whatever you do, don’t skip the Van Diemen’s Land Ice Creamery. Trust me—one scoop won’t be enough.

Beautiful spot right on the river, we saw several platypus on our walks around the river near the campsite. Close to town and playgrounds for the kids. Great walking track around the river. - No reception onsite, you have to walk across the road to a residential house to complete the check in process - $40 per night for a powered site (2 adults, 2 children) -No camp kitchen (there was one but it was locked up) and freezing bathrooms when showering (no heating)

A wonderful caravan park on the bank of Meander River, under the shade of a massive tree, and we saw two platypus as the day turned to dusk. The caretaker was very accommodating, the facilities were extremely clean and plenty to see and do around the town of Deloraine and the surrounding area. We only planned on a night but had to stay longer! Such a treat!
