Super trip to Delphi. Wonderful staff, beautiful, warm, spacious room. Super clean and well equipped, so many activities to choose from. |All located in the most beautiful, peaceful spot in the middle of the mountains. Really easy to find. Overall it’s just brilliant. ||Also the food in the restaurant is superb. We had 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts and no complaints at all. Loved everything about it. Very well priced too

Booked in to stay over a weekend with a Spa and dinner package.||The massage I had in the spa was THE WORST massage I have ever had. ||It seemed to me that the masseuse was untrained as my 4 year old could have given me a better back rub. I was not asked if I had areas I wanted her to focus on, was not asked about my preference on pressure which just added to how bad the experience was. The masseuse was also really awkward. ||The food was good. But we were sat at a window and there were dead bugs on the ledge. We sat on the same seat for breakfast the next morning and the bugs were still there.||The rooms were comfortable but felt they could have also been cleaner. It was evident there were bugs smashed into the walls and the remains not cleaned up. The balcony furniture was very scattered when we arrived (not that I've had cared but this was just another thing to add to the list).||Overall, our stay was okay. The views from the restaurant and room were beautiful and we enjoyed the walking trails. However, I doubt I would return to Delphi especially after paying almost 900 for 2 nights.

Lovely hotel, spacious rooms with top-quality beds and bedding. Staff pleasant and obliging. Interesting menu and good food - I particularly liked the duck leg, and the tofu dish on the vegetarian menu. (Ask for the veg menu even if you are an omnivore, it is very good.) We enjoyed exploring the area - Killary Fjord cruise, and oh, the beaches are gorgeous.

Really lovely experience in the resort, comfortable room, staff were lovely throughout. We did one of the Forrest trails, the scenery was stunning! Spa was lovely treat and therapist so good. The dinner menu in the 814 restaurant was so good, the food was even better. Needless to say we really thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Such a beautiful piece of heaven! The best hotel I’ve stayed in in Connemara. Such fantastic views of the hills, forest and lots of piece and quiet. We stayed for one night and can’t wait to come back again! Definitely worth the drive from Limerick

I had a lovely time at Delphi and enjoyed it thoroughly. There were lots of lovely walks and activities to go on, and the food and rooms were amazing as well. We are definitely coming back soon and we can’t wait!

The night I arrived at The Delphi Resort, I had just had a 12 and a half hour drive. I was exhausted and hungry. After manoeuvring my car around the rocks situated all around the parking area, I had to get my luggage over a dirty gravel car park ( I understand it is a natural setting but a decent carpark is not a lot to ask for. The overflow is a good distance from the hotel and is poorly light), I was met with a rather unfriendly receptionist. It was almost 9.30pm and I politely asked was there some food available. I was told an emphatic no. I asked for even a bowl of soup, or a toasted sandwich, to be told they had no ham. He offered me toast and tea, so I accepted. It was delivered to my room, which was large and specious, with a very comfortable bed. I duly tipped him when he brought the tray, only to find the "toast" was warm, soggy white sliced pan, no knife, bo jam, no serviette, just cold hard butter that I had to try and scrape across the doughy bread. A small filthy tea pot of slop accompanied it. I was disgusted to say the least. I commented to a friendly receptionist the next day, how disappointed I felt at the lack of a welcome, no kindness and the horrible "food". She apologised but nothing further. I enjoyed the spa experience, but if you're planning an early morning dip in the jacuzzi, forget it, it doesn't open until 10am which makes no sense as most people would like a detox or relaxation time before breakfast which is finished at 10am or before going off for yhe day!! I was booked in for four nights, the dirty tray remained unmoved for three days from my room. The bathroom floor was never cleaned. I had to check out a day early due to ill health and had to go to a medical facility to get medical assistance. I said this to yet another receptionist, who again was very rude and couldn'thave cared less. I was charged for the fourth day. The breakfast was lovely, most especially the delicious homemade granola. The young ladies serving were very polite and helpful, however, Delphi, with your lack of a welcome, genuine unkindness, indifference and poor attention to room hygiene, I will not be back. It's in a stunning setting, but it is almost another hour's drive after Clifden, so the owner's should seriously appreciate the effort it takes for a weary traveller to even go there in the first place.

Beautiful spa here in the middle of some amazing scenery. The ladies in the spa are so welcoming and the facilities are top notch. We also ate in the restaurant after. Had the fish and chips which was delicious and my friend had the cajun chicken salad, we ate every bit. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
It's really hard to rate this property, I wish I could review the hotel, the spa, and the restaurant separately. I did not book the hotel, we were booked by our tour company. Twin room was pretty small with a large bathroom and entry hall. We ended up storing our luggage in the hall. The soap and shampoo dispensers were really hard to use so we were left using a small bar of soap I happened to have with me. The shower did not drain well so I had to pause halfway through my shower to allow it to catch up. There is a towel warmer but we could not find the switch to turn it on. There is an electric kettle, but it's huge and difficult to fill from the absurdly small bathroom tap. I had a seaweed bath in the spa. Very enjoyable but I had asked at booking if I should bring anything with me and was told no. So I got in the jacuzzi buck naked. Fortunately I was the only one there but when my bath was ready, the spa matron informed me I should have brought swimwear for the communal portion of the facility. I think the restaurant is their strongest element. Breakfast buffet was excellent. One could assemble a full Irish or any portion of thereof. Dinner is price fixed either 2 or 3 courses. Simpler fare can be ordered in the adjacent bar. I especially enjoyed the Chicken Supreme with apple pie and ice cream for dessert. My vegan companion enjoyed the tofu appetizer and the vegan chocolate cake with lime sorbet. The bar menu is comprehensive including a sophisticated selection of wines in any price range.

Yelp
Amazing and peaceful stay. First of all I made the dreadful mistake of booking the wrong date and then MISSING our reservation. Management was kind enough to reinstate it. I took my sister and friend as a gift for getting their masters and we had the best time. Our room was wonderful, the food was delicious, views were beautiful and the staff very kind. The spa was reasonably priced and the very kind manager, Clodagh, even gave us a free bottle of Prosecco for our special occasion. Will 100% return and I recommend you visit immediately!

Yelp
We had a fantastic time here! The rooms were great, spacious and well laid out. Full bathroom was a nice plus. We got a deal that included all breakfasts and dinner 2 out of the 3 nights that we were there. They were very accommodating to my wife, who is vegan. Dinner menu stays the same all week. Breakfast included many options. There are plenty of outdoor activities to do, from hiking to biking and walk climbing. Service was exceptional. Views are beautiful in the valley. My wife enjoyed the spa.

Yelp
Delphi is a very family orientated place but it does cater greatly for groups. I was there on a Hen weekend (not a typical wild girls night out which I liked) We enjoyed 2 evenings of delicious dinner and It was all very relaxing. I tried out the kayaking which I loved despite the torrential rain! Some of the girls had spa treatments which they enjoyed, and there are numerous walks as well as other activities like archery and wall climbing to enjoy.

Yelp
This was such a fantastic resort. My boyfriend and I did not have access to internet the day we were checking out of our previous hotel, so we decided to show face at Delphi to see if there were any availabilities. The front desk receptionist was extremely kind and welcoming from the start. She gave us an amazing rate for a suite upgrade. The room was spacious, spotless, comfortable and well designed (as seen in my posted photos). We decided to dine at the restaurant on grounds and what an incredible dinner it was! My boyfriend ordered the beef cheek dish, I ordered the 3 course special (soup, lasagna then a berry tart dessert)- EVERYTHING was perfectly prepared and cooked. We enjoyed the included breakfast the following morning. They offer a wide selection of both hot and cold items. They seem to have a set staff for most meal services which didn't bother me because everyone was very friendly and provided great service. After breakfast, we decided to kayak as our adventure for the day. Our instructor was informative, lively and understanding to those who had no previous experiences kayaking before (such as myself). The spa was such a great utility for recovery (jacuzzis and saunas) and showering, since we had checked out of our room before kayaking began. If the opportunity arises, I highly recommend you experience what all this resort offers!:)

Yelp
Delphi Mountain Resort is located in the back of beyond, but that's okay, after all you wouldn't be staying at Delphi unless you wanted to get lost in wild and wonderful Connemara. If you are interested in getting away from the smog and the smoke of Dublin, I couldn't recommend Delphi more. Not only do they have a spa, but they have a range of outdoor activities which gives you an opportunity to take in the wonderful scenery surrounding the resort. These activities appear to run on an adhoc basis (i.e.varying on demand and season), so don't expect to get your wish list of activities to be fulfilled in one weekend. The food and accommodation are both beyond reproach. Make sure to check out their restaurant which serves local produce such as crab, mussels and lamb. If you feel like relaxing in more informal attire, head to the bar which provides similar dishes at a lower cost to your pocket. Avoid Delphi if you can't leave your phone down for more than a moment. The whole resort is an absolute blackspot for coverage, and you'll have to drive a long distance to receive even a bar on your phone. Make sure to ask reception about the thermal suite open and closing times, as I missed out on these facilities as I was unaware of the open and closing times. Spa treatments are slightly costly and will need to be booked in advance.

Yelp
Great location and perfect for anyone wanting to disconnect for a few days, literally. Pros: Service Barman Sean Rooms Spectacular views EVERYWHERE No TV and plenty of board games Location Location Location Eat: Muesli and fruit for breakfast Pear and cheese salad (unbelievable) Grilled kippers Cons: No TV No wifi in rooms No phone coverage Very isolated Don't eat: Full irish Soup for lunch Langoustines I realise the only cons apart from inconsistent food are things that are generally seen as a plus but they can be cons for someone unprepared for the experience. Overall I couldn't recommend a stay here enough! If you want A real taste of western Ireland this is the place to be. Special mention to the staff as they are second to none in dealing with customers and are enough to make me come back! Seriously some might say these guys are wasted here but they make it what it is. Would have given 5 stars but for the inconsistently of the food quality. Easy to see the difference between head chef's cooking and everyone else's

Yelp
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Delphi. My husband were fortunate to spend a few nights here ~ 2 years ago while driving through Ireland, and it was unforgettable. The setting is pristine, the rooms were gorgeous, the staff was so friendly, the food and drinks were great (we ate our dinners at Delphi each night), and the interesting mix of eclectic individuals that were there during our stay really made it interesting and very fun. Might I add, that neither my husband nor I fish (at all!), but would absolutely love to stay at the Delphi again on a future visit to Ireland.

Yelp
Magical place. We went as a family of four (2 boys, 13 and 11) and Delphi will remain a highlight of our trip. Gorgeous setting, beautiful hikes to be done at the footstep of the resort, lots of adventures, which was terrific to get the boys to exert themselves (from climbing to kayaking to mud runs... kids came back delighted and exhausted, perfect for parents...). The staff could not have been nicer, the food delicious, see separate review of the 814 restaurant where we discovered how perfectly mussels and guiness go together. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Landscape scenery .. Location top! We had a fabulous fabulous room. Very big and a lovely bubbble bath tub!!! We arrived in the night and couldn't really see much but the better the surprise was next morning. Our room had a balcony that had a view right next to a mountain, litterally the last house next to it. It was fabulous seeing the sunrise with it and the fog on top of the mountains. Spa is amazing. Breakfast was ok &definitely a lot of healthy fruit choices there. Expect sheep to greet you at the parking lot. No phone coverage whatsoever. We had wifi though not at an amazing speed but good enough to stream the bafta awards :-P This is an easy 5 star for the nature experience you get & for this you actually enjoy having no phone coverage! (Landlines available) One tip .. Do make sure to book in for activities maybe even before you come. They are booked out so quick!
