Spent 3 wonderful days and nights with my family in October. Everything and everyone was so warm and friendly from the start. The staff are lovely and the service from Stella and the team in the restaurant was excellent, top notch actually. They have a tv room for the kids with adjacent tables which made a far more enjoyable dining experience for everyone. The food was sensational. Throughout. The slow cooked lamb was a winner for us but we ate there every night and everything was great. |The adventure hub next door was a massive winner for everyone. The staff there were also excellent and so friendly. Special shout out to Chris and Shaun who the kids loved. Shame we didnt have more time for events but we will be back, 100%. |Only negative comment is the beds were two single beds pushed together rather than a double. And the Guinness in the bar wasn't great. |Otherwise 10/10.

We stayed for 2 nights at August Bank Holiday weekend. The hotel really isn't what I expected. It looks cosy and inviting on the outside and inside it's quite stark and feels cold. The bar area, which seems like an afterthought, was cold on the night we arrived. We had a standard room and it was fine. It was a little basic, no USB charger, no good lighting to read a book. The food at dinner was good as was breakfast and for the most part the staff were very helpful and friendly. As an EV driver, the facilities are sorely lacking. There are chargers which are maintained through a 3rd party so they are slow (22kwh) and very expensive. The worst part is you need phone coverage to connect your car to the app and there's none. We tried some gymnastics running from bedroom to car to get it connected over WiFi. One night it worked, the other it didn't. I also needed to subscribe to the app and charges were taken which seemed like monthly membership. It seems to be a badly thought out EV charging solution to just tick the box of proving chargers.||The location is stunning however, overall, it lacked the 4* feel that I expected based on the price.

We stayed here in September 25, a family of 5 (3 sisters and 2 sister-in-laws) for 2 nights. We had the pamper package booked. When we arrived, there was a slight mix up with our booking, but the staff were super efficient in sorting matters out, even though they were busy checking in many guests. We were given wine at dinner, teas and coffee's and our first nights stay free due to mix up. |The rooms we were given were large with beautiful views of surrounding countryside. They were warm and very comfortable. The food was fab, with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and efficient.|The pamper package was really good, we were treated so well by staff there, with no rush for us leave thermal spa area. |The outdoors was a lovely, unspoilt, peaceful place to be, with plenty of activities if one wished. It is the perfect location to unwind, relax and recharge.|Highly recommend this little gem in the West.

If you are thinking of booking your wedding here, don't walk but run!! For my new husband and I, there was never going to be another venue that even came close to the fairytale that is Delphi Resort! We always wanted something unique that would take our guests breath away and thats exactly what we got. Nested among the mountains in Connemara, every direction you look is outstanding. The scenery is incredible. From the first day we enquired about having our wedding here, Bernie, the Hotel Wedding Manager, could not do enough for us. No task was too large a job and she did everything possible to make our special day perfect. I never had to stress about anything related to the venue because I knew she wouldn't deliver anything less than perfection. ||Our guests raved about how delicious and plentiful the food was, from the drinks reception canapés, the amazing dinner, and the evening food, not a single thing could be faulted. ||The staff are a real credit to this hotel as guests repeatedly spoke about how they were all so helpful and friendly to everybody throughout the day. ||For many, it was their first time there but alot mentioned how they would be definitely returning. My husband and I were to stay 3 extra nights following our wedding, but ended up extending it for a fourth night as we wanted to soak up as much of this paradise as possible. Rain or sunshine, if you want something unique that I promise your guests will love, then I can't recommend Delphi Resort highly enough.

Incredible.. have visited this place three times now and unfortunately there was an eight year gap since we last visited. Very little has changed in those years and thank goodness for that. If the wheel isn't broken don't fix it. This place is complete escapism. Peaceful, relaxed, tranquil. If the above is what you are looking for, then look no further. Service, food, settling, rooms, spa are all 5 star. I'm looking forward to my next visit already

Fabulous resort!!!! Everything was beautiful and sooooo relaxing….great quiet rooms with huge patios. Food was amazing ….especially the breakfast. The manager at the restaurant from India was incredible and very kind. The Aussie’s that work there were great too!! I honestly could stay here forever…..Only thing missing was a campfire in the evenings or a propane outdoor fireplace and a huge hot tub/or pool…

This is most definitely not a 4 star hotel. The pictures are a bit deceiving. It gives an impression of a luxury spa in the mountains. The location is breathtaking. The restaurant food smelled and looked good, and the bartenders were very nice. But it was outdated and smelled very weird. Our room did not have wash cloths and we never could get any sent to the room. It was very dingy and outdated. Mold all in the bathroom. Windows and doors unable to close. I really expected this place to be off the charts amazing. Even reading recent reviews, I’m not sure how anyone can rate this place very high. It was very disappointing.

They email you and ask you to reserve your breakfast (which is included) 3 weeks in advance. If you already know that you will eat your breakfast at 7:30 that's perfect. If not and if you don't book your breakfast, it's pretty bad experience to wake up early with a hungry kid that cannot eat breakfast until 9:00. We also made the mistake of pushing the bed a little, like 5 cm . You could not believe the layers of dirt and dust that was there. Truly disgusting. If you are not up for a hike , there is not much to do in the hotel.

Yelp
It's really hard to rate this property, I wish I could review the hotel, the spa, and the restaurant separately. I did not book the hotel, we were booked by our tour company. Twin room was pretty small with a large bathroom and entry hall. We ended up storing our luggage in the hall. The soap and shampoo dispensers were really hard to use so we were left using a small bar of soap I happened to have with me. The shower did not drain well so I had to pause halfway through my shower to allow it to catch up. There is a towel warmer but we could not find the switch to turn it on. There is an electric kettle, but it's huge and difficult to fill from the absurdly small bathroom tap. I had a seaweed bath in the spa. Very enjoyable but I had asked at booking if I should bring anything with me and was told no. So I got in the jacuzzi buck naked. Fortunately I was the only one there but when my bath was ready, the spa matron informed me I should have brought swimwear for the communal portion of the facility. I think the restaurant is their strongest element. Breakfast buffet was excellent. One could assemble a full Irish or any portion of thereof. Dinner is price fixed either 2 or 3 courses. Simpler fare can be ordered in the adjacent bar. I especially enjoyed the Chicken Supreme with apple pie and ice cream for dessert. My vegan companion enjoyed the tofu appetizer and the vegan chocolate cake with lime sorbet. The bar menu is comprehensive including a sophisticated selection of wines in any price range.

Yelp
Amazing and peaceful stay. First of all I made the dreadful mistake of booking the wrong date and then MISSING our reservation. Management was kind enough to reinstate it. I took my sister and friend as a gift for getting their masters and we had the best time. Our room was wonderful, the food was delicious, views were beautiful and the staff very kind. The spa was reasonably priced and the very kind manager, Clodagh, even gave us a free bottle of Prosecco for our special occasion. Will 100% return and I recommend you visit immediately!

Yelp
We had a fantastic time here! The rooms were great, spacious and well laid out. Full bathroom was a nice plus. We got a deal that included all breakfasts and dinner 2 out of the 3 nights that we were there. They were very accommodating to my wife, who is vegan. Dinner menu stays the same all week. Breakfast included many options. There are plenty of outdoor activities to do, from hiking to biking and walk climbing. Service was exceptional. Views are beautiful in the valley. My wife enjoyed the spa.

Yelp
Delphi is a very family orientated place but it does cater greatly for groups. I was there on a Hen weekend (not a typical wild girls night out which I liked) We enjoyed 2 evenings of delicious dinner and It was all very relaxing. I tried out the kayaking which I loved despite the torrential rain! Some of the girls had spa treatments which they enjoyed, and there are numerous walks as well as other activities like archery and wall climbing to enjoy.

Yelp
This was such a fantastic resort. My boyfriend and I did not have access to internet the day we were checking out of our previous hotel, so we decided to show face at Delphi to see if there were any availabilities. The front desk receptionist was extremely kind and welcoming from the start. She gave us an amazing rate for a suite upgrade. The room was spacious, spotless, comfortable and well designed (as seen in my posted photos). We decided to dine at the restaurant on grounds and what an incredible dinner it was! My boyfriend ordered the beef cheek dish, I ordered the 3 course special (soup, lasagna then a berry tart dessert)- EVERYTHING was perfectly prepared and cooked. We enjoyed the included breakfast the following morning. They offer a wide selection of both hot and cold items. They seem to have a set staff for most meal services which didn't bother me because everyone was very friendly and provided great service. After breakfast, we decided to kayak as our adventure for the day. Our instructor was informative, lively and understanding to those who had no previous experiences kayaking before (such as myself). The spa was such a great utility for recovery (jacuzzis and saunas) and showering, since we had checked out of our room before kayaking began. If the opportunity arises, I highly recommend you experience what all this resort offers!:)

Yelp
Delphi Mountain Resort is located in the back of beyond, but that's okay, after all you wouldn't be staying at Delphi unless you wanted to get lost in wild and wonderful Connemara. If you are interested in getting away from the smog and the smoke of Dublin, I couldn't recommend Delphi more. Not only do they have a spa, but they have a range of outdoor activities which gives you an opportunity to take in the wonderful scenery surrounding the resort. These activities appear to run on an adhoc basis (i.e.varying on demand and season), so don't expect to get your wish list of activities to be fulfilled in one weekend. The food and accommodation are both beyond reproach. Make sure to check out their restaurant which serves local produce such as crab, mussels and lamb. If you feel like relaxing in more informal attire, head to the bar which provides similar dishes at a lower cost to your pocket. Avoid Delphi if you can't leave your phone down for more than a moment. The whole resort is an absolute blackspot for coverage, and you'll have to drive a long distance to receive even a bar on your phone. Make sure to ask reception about the thermal suite open and closing times, as I missed out on these facilities as I was unaware of the open and closing times. Spa treatments are slightly costly and will need to be booked in advance.

Yelp
Great location and perfect for anyone wanting to disconnect for a few days, literally. Pros: Service Barman Sean Rooms Spectacular views EVERYWHERE No TV and plenty of board games Location Location Location Eat: Muesli and fruit for breakfast Pear and cheese salad (unbelievable) Grilled kippers Cons: No TV No wifi in rooms No phone coverage Very isolated Don't eat: Full irish Soup for lunch Langoustines I realise the only cons apart from inconsistent food are things that are generally seen as a plus but they can be cons for someone unprepared for the experience. Overall I couldn't recommend a stay here enough! If you want A real taste of western Ireland this is the place to be. Special mention to the staff as they are second to none in dealing with customers and are enough to make me come back! Seriously some might say these guys are wasted here but they make it what it is. Would have given 5 stars but for the inconsistently of the food quality. Easy to see the difference between head chef's cooking and everyone else's

Yelp
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Delphi. My husband were fortunate to spend a few nights here ~ 2 years ago while driving through Ireland, and it was unforgettable. The setting is pristine, the rooms were gorgeous, the staff was so friendly, the food and drinks were great (we ate our dinners at Delphi each night), and the interesting mix of eclectic individuals that were there during our stay really made it interesting and very fun. Might I add, that neither my husband nor I fish (at all!), but would absolutely love to stay at the Delphi again on a future visit to Ireland.

Yelp
Magical place. We went as a family of four (2 boys, 13 and 11) and Delphi will remain a highlight of our trip. Gorgeous setting, beautiful hikes to be done at the footstep of the resort, lots of adventures, which was terrific to get the boys to exert themselves (from climbing to kayaking to mud runs... kids came back delighted and exhausted, perfect for parents...). The staff could not have been nicer, the food delicious, see separate review of the 814 restaurant where we discovered how perfectly mussels and guiness go together. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Landscape scenery .. Location top! We had a fabulous fabulous room. Very big and a lovely bubbble bath tub!!! We arrived in the night and couldn't really see much but the better the surprise was next morning. Our room had a balcony that had a view right next to a mountain, litterally the last house next to it. It was fabulous seeing the sunrise with it and the fog on top of the mountains. Spa is amazing. Breakfast was ok &definitely a lot of healthy fruit choices there. Expect sheep to greet you at the parking lot. No phone coverage whatsoever. We had wifi though not at an amazing speed but good enough to stream the bafta awards :-P This is an easy 5 star for the nature experience you get & for this you actually enjoy having no phone coverage! (Landlines available) One tip .. Do make sure to book in for activities maybe even before you come. They are booked out so quick!
