Love Del’s! 🍋☀️ I grew up in RI and have since moved away, but nothing says summer to me quite like a cold Del’s. I’m happy to see this location is still going strong! Whenever I’m home, I make a point to stop by several times each trip. Classic lemon and peach mango are my favorite. I also always bring some mix back with me. It's not the same, of course, but it’s fun to make with my kids and share a little piece of Little Rhody with them at home. Each batch can be a little different, which might explain some of the mixed reviews, but overall, there’s just nothing like this classic RI summer treat. 🍋❄️💛

We love Del's! This location has a great selection of flavors (including family favorites, grapefruit and peach-mango) and friendly, efficient service. What's not to love?

Google
We stopped at the site of the lemon! Del’s is frozen lemonade, typically found here, in Rhode Island (though Geoff swears he’s had some off a Del’s truck in NYC). We had the original lemon flavor, and also the passion fruit. Both were delicious. Pull right up to the side of the road stand (parking between the lines, as requested!) and order at the window. The menu board is inside. The nice young person inside will make your drinks and serve up some tasty popcorn, pretzels, hotdogs or nachos. We did not see any bathroom facilities, and there were no tables or benches available. This one is pretty much a grab and go place.

Many individuals express enthusiasm for this establishment. Regrettably, the lemonade did not quite meet my place. It possesses a rather unique flavor profile, and the presence of chewy lemon pieces was not entirely to my preference.

Google
We bought watermelon and passion fruit. I immediately threw away the passion fruit. Figured it was just that flavor. So dumb dumb me I just said give me the cherry... long story short, 3 lemonade in the garbage and down $17. Lesson learned.. I guess I'll just have to wait till weekends for MR. LEMON... 2 streets away from Del's... you guys should be ashamed to serve that food colored ice because there wasn't even a flavor or SUGAR!

Alex D.

Google
Simple pull up window to get frozen lemonade. Nothing magical here but when it's hot this is a nice treat. We got the watermelon and cherry flavors, couldn't really tell them apart except the "cherry" tasted more like candy than the watermelon.

Google
Great little place to stop and get some Del’s. Lots of flavors and pretzels. It’s cash only which can be hard these days haha but lots of small places are still asking for cash to get around paying the credit card fees and total income. I get it. Still worth patronizing a local favorite!

Google
If you like semi frozen sugar water, then this is your jam. The texture is right on point kind of like the first snowy day of slushy mess. You don’t need a spoon or a straw. The flavor is close to nonexistent and not refreshing at all. I had a few lemon seeds in mine which were incredibly bitter but that was the only sign of lemon. $5 for a medium (small cup) is too much for something lacking flavor. Compare this to Italian ice, this would get negative stars.

Yelp
Nothing hits the spot on a hot summer day like a cold, refreshing Del's frozen lemonade! This location has been here for decades and the space has been well cared for over the years. They now offer a variety of flavors, not just the classic lemon, in a variety of sizes along with some snacks and treats. Unfortunately, pricing has gone up steadily over the years, so we don't stop by as frequently as we did when we were younger. This location is a cash only business so come prepared.

Yelp
Refreshing! As someone visiting Rhode Island, I couldn't leave without getting a classic Del's frozen lemonade! Perfect on a hot day and not too sweet or sour. Always hits the spot and not to be missed if you're a lemonade fan.

Joseph W.

Yelp
This is a great place for a refreshing summer drink but I have to say for the price of the lemonade it is not worth it. There is really not much flavor. I think it was in either worcester or burrilville but there was so much flavor it almost tasted gourmet. But I have to say that I visit a lot and very much enjoy it so I am a very loyal costomer.

Yelp
Wonderful, a Rhody classic. Every time I'm with them, my grandkids beg to go get a cup of Del's. It's a summer tradition and a memory I'll share with them forever.

Yelp
Excellent selection of Dels slushes. There were 6 varieties and a number of pricing options from a $1 for a Dixie cup serving all the way up to XL cups. Nice selection of warm pretzels, fresh popcorn, pretzel rods and others. Plenty of parking in a nice well maintained lot. Great spot in a neighborhood with plenty of really good food options

Yelp
How are we only the 20th reviewers of this place? Isn't Del's a Rhode Island institution?? Neither of us have ever had it before though we've obviously heard about it and had wanted to visit their original spot in Cranston (but apparently it's closed? Maybe? Updated websites are beautiful things!). It was almost 100 degrees in Providence today, so it was a good decision to go because the frozen stuff is a cold sugar bomb in your mouth that really hits the spot. We tried three flavors--lemon, watermelon, cherry--in three different sizes. Lemon was definitely the crowd favorite but we did NOT get any lemon bits in ours (and maybe we were doing it wrong, but the liquid slurped up and then there was a lot of ice left). We were starving so we're ashamed to admit that we ordered their "nachos" and a "hot dog," both of which were frighteningly worse than what you'd find in a 7-11. So, uh, stick to the frozen treats. The young lady who was working was sweet, but time management wasn't at the top of her agenda. The whole place looks like it has its best years behind it but is still oddly enchanting in its deterioration. Anyway, we liked it here even if we're not sounding like it. Plus it's always fun to eat a staple state food in the state itself.

Yelp
This might look like a janky little lemonade stand that you'd drive right by, but don't do it. Stop. Get some of this frozen lemony deliciousness. It's those little bits of lemon peel it in it that make it taste that way. Especially refreshing on an almost 90 degree and humid day in Rhode Island (thanks, climate change!) Scrape up some cash because they roll old school and only take cash just like they did when I first came here back in 3rd grade. It's worth the trip to the ATM.

Yelp
Send in the health department. If you're going to be cash only during a pandemic (seriously wtf) then you better wear gloves and sanitize in between customers and not touch cash with the same hands that you use to touch cups where people drink out of them. The lemonade is fine but not worth getting COVID.
google avatar

Frank S.

Yelp
Same old...great tasting lemonade, but you are lucky if you get 1 tiny lemon bit in their largest cup. It's nothing like the stuff you got 20 years ago.

Lori E.

Yelp
We just bought 3 lemonades. A cherry a watermelon and a lemon and none of them had any flavor to them just colored ice. Very disappointing

Yelp
This review is for Del's lemonade in general, not this location specifically, although I have been here many times with no issues! As a fellow Rhode Islander, how could I not write a review for Del's?? This is definitely the best place to get lemonade in Rhode Island. When the weather starts getting warm, one of the first things I think of is that Del's will be opening soon! I definitely associate summers in Rhode Island with some Del's lemonade. My favorite is the lemon flavor. It doesn't taste as artificial as a lot of the other lemonade places do and I like that it has little lemon chunks in it. I also like the watermelon flavor and will sometimes get that. The lemonade here is such a tasty and refreshing treat when it's warm out.

Yelp
This is a general review of Dels Lemonade, not this specific location. And not surprisingly as a person born and raised in Rhode Island where Dels rules the roost, I consider Del's the gold standard of the frozen lemonade/slushie/slurpee world. Del's frozen lemonade is great because it is sweet but not too sweet, tart but not too tart and has those awesome little pieces of real lemon throughout! I know one fellow had/has a truck in NYC because he had it painted in my hood in Brooklyn, but I have not seen him since :-( So if you are ever in southern New England, add Del's to your must try list!

Yelp
"Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker." ~ Ogden Nash Some people see Del's as a trendy, smalltown beverage concession food truck, but in reality, their history goes back a long way. Franco DeLucia made his first lemonade out of snow back in 1840 in Naples, Italy. They stored the snow in insulated caves until the summer months when they mixed it with fresh, ripe summer lemons and equal parts of sugar. He and his son brought their recipe to America in 1902 and in 1948, they changed the name to Del's Frozen Lemonade, and soon monopolized the beverage market in Cranston, RI. Soon thereafter, they took their product on the road for sale across the state. Today Del's Lemonade is sold worldwide. Mix it with crushed ice and a little vodka, and all is well with the world.

Yelp
Having had this place built up for me before moving out here, I was pleasantly surprised it lived up to the hype! Best lemonade I've had! I'm not a fan of sweet, so that's probably why, but it was all about the natural taste of the lemon so I loved it!
google avatar

Cody R.

Yelp
It's a Rhode Island staple, if you have never had a Dels Lemonade than you are really missing out! Just don't drink it with a spoon or a straw that's not how it's done! Watermelon and the original lemonade are the best flavors. My personal favorite is the watermelon but you need to get the lemonade at least once a year to do it right! I remember going to this Dels when I was a young kid my uncle Joe had free Dels for life because he fixed their truck god rest his soul. Great memories!

Bizmark B.

Yelp
Just giving you a shout out since you actually dice up real lemons into the lemonade. Super delicious and refreshing. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the recipe is just right...not too weak and not too strong.

Yelp
I love Dells lemonade!!! This is the best frozen lemonade on the planet! :-) I defy you to find a better frozen lemonade on the planet!!!! There are several different flavors but the original lemon is definitely the best!!! It is so good!
google avatar

Amuse B.

Yelp
I like this Del's cause you can get the big jugs of lemonade for parties. We generally come here before every party for a jug of the lemon and the cherry.

Yelp
Great service, and super convenient! Hot summer days are cooled with a cup of dels frozen lemonade! Pretzel rods are delicious with the lemonade so definitely try them! Nothing more to say, just that I will be waiting for the day dels opens again.
google avatar

Lolo D.

Yelp
Del's lemonade is amazing but make sure it's the liquid kind and not the powdered. huge difference. one is cool and refreshing .. one reminds me of country time, its fakey.. not so good. but get the real kind with actual chunks of lemon and your good to go
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
Theres nothing better then sitting back and drinking a nice cold cup of Dels Lemonade on a hot summer day! It is so refreshing ! Dels has many flavors to offer but the best is the original lemon flavor ! It consists of little pieces or real lemon in the icy , sugary slush ! Also Dels sells pretzel sticks that go great with the lemony drink ! It tastes wonderful if you dip it in the lemonade or even just eat it separately! Dels is the best $2-3 dollar drink/snack around ! The drink is well worth the price ! The service is usually great. The venue could be a little better , but overall it is great ! It is a must have ! Drop by today !
google avatar

Lady B.

Yelp
Dels Lemonade never disappoints ! I've bought it locally in Middletown and recently at a fair in CT and you aways get the same refreshing quality. I love there are tiny chunks of real lemon and it's never overly sweet. If you haven't tried it you need to.
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
On hot day there is nothing like sittin' back and sippin' on a Del's Lemonade. It's a Rhode Island staple that out-of-towners have to try. Yes, Del's have other flavors but there is only one true Del's and that's the original lemon. With bits of real lemons in a sugary ice cold slush, there's nothing better. BTW, fans would agree that you cannot use a straw! This location has plenty of parking. The summer hasn't started until you've had a Del's! A+
google avatar

George F.

Yelp
Del's is one of the few constants that hasn't changed since my childhood; except maybe the number of flavors they offer. I just can't get enough of it. The lemon is great but that's not my favorite. These days I'm hooked on the grapefruit. Great stuff!

Reese A.

Yelp
I love this place. In Brockton, there was a "Mr lemon"that used to drive around and serve slushies just like these ones here. It was refreshing to find this! Another topper is that they're better than what I used to have as a kid. Definitely worth it!
