The hotel room itself was clean and spacious, and the bed was reasonably comfortable. However, the pillows were a major issue. They were flat, unevenly filled, and felt worn out, as though they had long passed their best. All four pillows had the same problem, making it impossible to get comfortable. I’m not usually a light sleeper, but I woke up several times during the night because of them.||Another frustration was the room doors. They slam loudly just as they click shut, so every time someone entered or left their room along the corridor, it created a disruptive bang.||We also had a disappointing experience with room service. We tried ordering a bottle of wine through the app on both our phones and on a laptop, but the system only displayed the product without any option to purchase. We then called directly, only to find the staff member on the phone seemed confused and unsure of what we were asking for although she eventually agreed to fulfil the order. After an hour of waiting with no delivery and no call, I went to Brasserie Blanc, where I was told to order through reception. Reception then contradicted this, saying it had to be done through Brasserie Blanc. In the end, we gave up and bought a bottle from the small shop near reception. When we mentioned the lack of awareness of room service to staff, it was just laughed off. For a Marriott, being unable to order room service at all is surprising and the staffs overall knowledge or ability to help resolve such a simple request was disappointing.||The shuttle service to the terminal in the morning was useful, though the process felt disorganised and unclear regarding who had paid or who was eligible. Returning to the hotel after our trip was even more chaotic. There was no queue system, and boarding was random. We had to get off the first one to make space for a large family who wanted to sit together. The driver was apologetic but seemed unsure how to manage the crowd. Simple steps like asking who had been waiting longest, checking party sizes, and knowing the seating capacity would have helped avoid the confusion. In the end, we resorted to taking an Uber back.||I don't actually think I would stay again here as I have stayed in the past as well and don't remember it being anything special then either. I think above all else at this hotel, you are paying for the name.
