This restaurant is located in the hotel I am staying in. Figured I would give it a try and so glad I did. I ordered Chicken Fettuccine with a Rye Bourbon on the rocks and for dessert the Moon Pie Bread Pudding. Everything was delicious. I’m from New Orleans so good food is the norm for me. Dinner tonight was as good as anything at any restaurant back home. Definitely recommend this place.

Update: I feel like the quality of food has decreased. I initially appreciated the variety in the menu and tasty food. However, on my last visit (November 2023), the menu was limited and just not exciting. The fried catfish came with plain white rice…who does that in the Mississippi Delta?? The “pork belly” was pork, but not pork belly. Unfortunately, I think I’m done here. Original Review: The Delta Meat Market was a very pleasant surprise. It’s located in the hotel we were staying in (The Cotton House). We went for dinner and the service was A+. The chef is a James Beard Award nominee, which says a lot. I can’t remember the name of my cocktail, but it was basically a Cosmo topped with bubbly (either Prosecco or Champagne). The first one was good but the 2nd didn’t taste the same. The bartender left out the bubbly. Our server was quick to resolve the issue, so that was much appreciated. My party of 2 shared the Burrata as an appetizer…it was different but good! I had the scallops and spinach salad as an entrée. The scallops were cooked to perfection (which is hard to do) but the spinach salad didn’t meet the mark. I’ve had better and can make better at home. The presentation of the salad was lacking and the hot bacon vinaigrette both appeared to be and tasted like straight bacon grease. Again, I make a similar vinaigrette at home so this was disappointing. The other guest had the grilled pork chop which was tender and very flavorful. We shared the moonpie bread pudding for dessert. While it didn’t taste like moonpie, it was a delicious and very rich dessert. While there are some things that could be better, I’d definitely return.

Just an update. As of today we have received no refund. Just like we waited an extended amount of time for our dinner we are still waiting on a refund for the raw pork chop served. If you need our account number I will be glad to provide it unless the offer for refund was just to off set the bad review. I will start off by saying my red snapper was delicious although the portion of sides scant. The service was horrible. It took us 30 minutes to get a drink and then one hour to get our food. When it takes this long you expect your food to be near perfection. As in the picture below my husband’s pork chop was served way undercooked. He ate around what he could find to be done but pork is not supposed to be served red. He said his sides were delicious. When he brought to the waitress’ attention of the undercooked meat she just blew him off. 5 months later and we still not have been issued the refund we were promised.

First time staying at the cotton house and first time eating at The DMM (Delta Meat Market). Food was amazing, drink was good and service was great. It was a little pricey(that’s my fault) but you get what you pay for and this was definitely worth it. I will definitely be back!

So the food here is a bit pricey, like Crave and Warehouse but the food is very delicious. We went for lunch and got a turkey sandwich with roasted brussel sprouts and a beef sandwich with roasted brussel sprouts. We also did the make your own Bloody Mary's and Mamosas.

We had lunch during the down week between a Christmas and New Year’s. We were a little disappointed that the tamales were not available, but the rest of the menu lived up to our hyped up, “Somebody Feed Phil” expectations. The wedge salad is a thing of beauty and is very well a meal in itself. The hot ham and cheese sandwich was perfect. The staff is friendly and the environment bright and clean. A wonderful place for a meal, and the grits, polenta, and cornmeal are available for purchase. Enjoy!

I visited Delta Meat Market on two separate occasions during a business trip to Cleveland. I stopped in Sunday night as it was one of the only places in town that isn't a chain that was open. The atmosphere was great, it wasn't too busy so it was nice and quiet. Where to get service was a bit confusing walking in - needed to order at the bar, found my own seat and they brought my hamburger to me. Hamburger was excellent - lots of smokey flavor and the price was right. Being Sunday, they had a very limited menu. Draft beer selection is pretty pitiful, but they have some can selections as well. Staff was awesome - personable, approachable, and actually took a moment to chat. I returned my last night in Cleveland - menu was more full, restaurant was pretty full so I sat at the bar. Had a beer then switched to a mixed drink - the Old Fashioned was mixed very well - the bartenders were again awesome, personable, and held conversations with us at the bar. I ordered the steak frites I believe - amazing strips of perfectly-cooked steak over fries. Just awesome. I wish I could have gone back - this was my favorite place in Cleveland due to the staff and the clientele who took time to chat at the bar. It was great for an extrovert traveling alone in need of some social human interaction.

Google
We had dinner here last Saturday night. It was outstanding. I had the flat iron steak. It was the most flavorful steak I have ever had. It was served on top of grits with grilled veggies. It was so dang good, I’ll make the 5 hour drive back to Cleveland just for this place! My wife had red snapper...served on a medley of veggies that I had no idea went with fish! It was phenomenal. It’s a casual, but beautiful place. Great, friendly southern hospitality! We will be back! And the moonpie bread pudding was incredible! Sorry...it was the only photo I thought to take...everything was so damned good!

Ryleigh K.

Yelp
The food here is AMAZING! I definitely recommend the shrimp poboy. The service is pretty good for only 1 worker. Although there aren't a ton of menu options the ones that are there are great! The building and atmosphere is just fantastic.

Alice M.

Yelp
Today, my nieces and I shared a tasteful lunch at the Delta Meat Market in Cleveland, MS. The Blacken Catfish and grits was delicious The service was very good, "Southern Hospitality". The ambiance was so relaxing, you felt a beautiful atmosphere and comfortable environment.

Yelp
Delta Meat Market is a true gem - one I've had the good fortune of enjoying on multiple occasions, and it has always delighted and impressed! Firstly, it's so cute. The interior is crisp and clean; somehow, they've struck a perfect balance of high-end homey. It feels upscale, but in an accessible way. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful - happy to make suggestions and conversation. Now on to the best part - the food! This place has got QUITE the menu. It's one of those places that will frustrate you because you'll want to try everything; it all looks so good! They also happen to have a delectable and creative-looking drink menu, if you're in the mood for libations. My favorite thing they have is the DMM Wedge salad (which was featured on Somebody Feed Phil)(and Phil loved it)(not to brag). I've also tried their braised short rib and their duck, and both were divine. Nothing I've tried here hasn't been divine, actually; these people really know what they're doing. I don't think it's possible to order wrong here. I also got their Hemingway Daiquiri and loved it. All their drinks look so thoughtfully-made (and equally as tempting). All in all, and you can probably tell already if you've made it this far, I love this place. Love everything about it. Cannot possibly recommend it any more. Delta Meat Market is a must if you're in Cleveland!

Yelp
A quaint dinning experience located in a hotel adjacent to the lobby. The atmosphere was lively and the decorations were simple but clean and tasteful. We arrived for lunch and selected a burger with chips on the side. The burger was well prepared and tasty. A great stop before our next adventure.

Yelp
This is a place that has breakfast and lunch on the first floor of the Cotton House Hotel, a Marriott property. Breakfast is good. Lunch is acceptable. Dinner is typically very poor and the dinner restaurant, on the fifth floor of the hotel, fails to honor its published closing hours, which is a huge problem for a business traveler who depends the hours are correct. I've stayed here over half a dozen nights, perhaps closer to eight or ten nights. The food has been good once. Poor on the other occasions. The restaurant, without warning, shuts down and closes the kitchen, as well as the bar, prior to its published times. Tonight, I had the steak without fries. Medium rare. I received a medium steak, which smelled funny, WITH FRIES. It was not good. Truly, poorly managed. No electric outlets at the bar. The outdoor patio has two outlets, but they don't work. I'd recommend elsewhere...perhaps Backdraft, just down the street.

Yelp
I was in town this weekend and stayed at the Cotton House. I was delighted by the cute Delta Meat Market in the lobby! It was the perfect place to grab a glass of wine on the way in town and for a light lunch before leaving town. I had the snapper dish which was very good- especially the creamed corn it was served with. The wait staff was diligent and my dog and I loved sitting on the patio while we got some work done.

Tanya C.

Yelp
excellent food in a casual atmosphere. orders are taken at the counter and brought to the table. we both had salads, brussel sprout and wedge with tomato soup . the soup and both salads were delicious. great lunch or casual dinner location!

Yelp
My wife and I visit locations to try different things. We decided to visit the DMM based on reviews and what we hear. The Ambience was nice, clean and quaint. Food, upon receipt, was pleasantly a nice visual and appealing, once we finally got it. There have been FEW places that we actually stayed to receive our dinner where it took over 30 minutes to just get drinks made and then about an hour to finally receive our food. They were not that busy (less than 30 customers) and it seemed odd that it would take so long. The waitress seemed uninterested in visiting our table or checking on us or keeping us posted on when the food would arrive. Once we did finally get the dinner, I was totally surprised at the results. If this was taking an hour to prepare, you'd think the pork chop would be cooked. I do know what a cooked pork chop should look like and pink/red/raw just isn't one of the ways. (See picture) When I brought this up with the waitress, she just blew it off and never responded or alerted a manager to discuss. But, was sure to bring us the full bill with no considerations toward some type of discount for lack of cook or time. Not sure if we will return, unless we have nothing but a ton of time to wait for drinks or food.

Pete M.

Yelp
The roasted chicken was quite tasty. The chocolate moon pie bread pudding was the nice surprise it sounds like

Cindy B.

Yelp
the Servers were friendly and the food was great! Had grilled shrimp and fried catfish - delicious

Yelp
This is the type of restaurant where you buy your food first, then find a place to sit. It's a rustic restaurant, situated inside of an upscale hotel. I happened to be driving by, while I was in town for Boy Scout activities with my sons. This seemed like a nice place to loiter, and I was right. I ordered the cobb salad, which comes with steak, and an iced tea. At 16 bucks, the price seemed a little steep for a small town lunch salad with tea. The cashier seemed insulted when I asked for my tea unsweetened (this is the South). Service was friendly, though. My food came out in a timely fashion, but I wasn't in a hurry. The salad was excruciatingly tasty! Everything tasted farm fresh! The highlight was the steak, which was a premium cut. Apparently, the restaurant also operates a butcher shop next door. No wonder! The taste and quantity of my food justified the price. I definitely spoke too soon. They also had breakfast food, and the morning vittles I saw on some folk's plates looked extremely appetizing. This place is large on taste, large on quantity, and semi-large on price. Anytime I'm in the area, I will eat here. If you happen to be in Cleveland MS, give this joint a shot!

Yelp
A great place for brunch. Bottomless mimosa and gourmet food that is not pretentious!! In the heart of the Delta!!

Yelp
Sat here for 30 minutes with out ever getting a menu. I came in almost right at open as a 1top so it wasn't even that busy. I have no idea how the food is I simply left.

Yelp
Yes, it is number one for a reason in this town and that's because we'll, they are number one. Excellent friendly customer service and exceptional delicious food is what you get when you visit this restaurant. It's located down town Cleveland, MS. Cleveland is a small town but yet in a very rural area of the Mississippi Delta. Customer service is is a rarity in the Delta but not here. The owner was born and raised in Cleveland and his retired father still lives here. The owners father is the former manager at Sherwin Williams. The owner was taught how to be a great chef in Nashville, TN says his father. He was also taught in Charleston, SC. Menu items ordered: Roasted Salmon, Rice, succotash and cornbread with a sweet tea. Everything was delicious and tasted just great. Yes, I will be back again.

Dave V.

Yelp
Over charged for a cocktail party for 12 people! Not enough food, dry bread pudding, food not properly arranged on tray to keep what little was there fresh! I paid $425.10 for the small amount! I host many events & never paid this amount for such a small amount of food! So disappointed!

Angela W.

Yelp
Traveling through the Delta to McCarty pottery and we stopped at the Delta Meat Market. I haven't been here since it moved across the street into the Cotton House hotel. As always it was a great meal. I had the snapper tacos and followed them with a slice of chess pie. Tacos come with a side of rice and are spicy and juicy. As I was eating the Tacos I let the juice from the Pico de Gallo run into the rice to give the rice some moisture. Chess pie was fabulous and one bite send you into sugar nirvana.

Debra A.

Yelp
So....probably the best meal I have enjoyed in a long time and I have been fortunate to have experienced many 5 star experiences. I ordered the pork chop to take to my room after a long day. It was AMAZING!!! Fried okra, some risotto with apple, corn and such. I will be dreaming about this for a long long time. I would have liked it a little " less done" but honestly it was still incredible!!!!!!!!!!'

Chris S.

Yelp
This is a solid choice for a good meal. You have to walk up and order so the service level doesn't seem to match how nice the hotel is.

Ben M.

Yelp
Food and service are great. Atmosphere is top notch. Bar and drinks are great as well.

Denise L.

Yelp
Had brisket and gravy biscuits. Along with eggs and mimosas. It was excellent! A little more gravy would have been nice but no complaints!!

Linda S.

Yelp
Best things about this place was the atmosphere and service. Very limited menu. Two people in our party had the grouper. It smelled so fishy and was over cooked. The sides that it came with were small. Ordered an extra side of cauliflower grit which were ok. Very different in flavor, savory with a touch of spice. The other main dish someone in our party had was the chicken thighs. Nothing special which for $20 for two thighs should have been spectacular. The other four people in the party ordered sides because no mains looked interesting. I did have the spinach salad hold the bacon dressing and feta cheese and added grilled veggies which I put on the salad. I had the best dish on the table. Our check with tip was $198 for 7 people with only 3 main dishes, 1 salad and some sides. Very expensive for small portions and limited choices. Might have been worth it if the food was special but it was nothing to write home about.

Michael J.

Yelp
Don't expect a special breakfast. It is a "nothing special " buffet with microwave bacon. The eggs are scrambled, but found out after eating that one may order eggs to your liking. It would be nice if they let you know that in advance.

Marie S.

Yelp
This was my first time ever in Cleveland. We stayed at the Cotton house, where this is located. Well let me tell you what a pleasant surprise. The food and the service were top-notch. The braised beef papardelle, and the scallops and risotto were amazing. It left us wanting more. If ever in Cleveland again,I will return.

Steven M.

Yelp
Saw this place on Netflix and was super excited to try it. Started well enough, it's a very pretty restaurant with a nice staff and an awesome location in the Cotton Row part of Cleveland. Since the owner saw it necessary to attack me personally on my Google review I will keep this brief and purely about the food. My family and I had an hour to eat before we had to be at a football game. We sat down and there were only 3 other people there and they already had their appetizers. We ordered and then we waited over 45 minutes for our food. We then had to leave and got it bagged up to go. The food was mediocre at best. The 30 dollar steak entree wasn't enough to fill up my 14 year old daughter who then had to eat most of my 13 dollar burger. The burger was tender but mostly tasteless, and the 6 small roasted potato wedges were mushy and bland. Lastly, my wife got the 18 dollar charcuterie board that didn't even fill up the styrofoam to go box... Overall, the only redeeming features were the style and decor and my daughter said the 4 bites of steak were amazing.

Wade S.

Yelp
Gourmet food in Cleveland Went to dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday, while visiting our daughter and her husband in Cleveland. This actually is a meat market where you can buy specialty foods, but the restaurant is fantastic.

Gary B.

Yelp
This Meat Market/Deli is a unique establishment in this college town. It is in an actual meat market with an eclectic atmosphere to include spices, kitchen utensils and such for sale as well as a very nice selection of meats and fish. I had the special which was meatloaf, seasoned rice, grilled squash and stone ground cornbread. The meatloaf was, well meatloaf, but was nevertheless very good. The cornbread was a bit on the dry side, but perhaps was setting out as we hit the lunch hour a little late. The rest of our party had the cob salad which came with a very generous portion of grilled steak (which was excellent) and what I presume were crumbles of their own cured bacon. (The bacon was very salty) We went away with some steak and silver dollar size scallops for dinner later! They do serve wine and have a few beers. Well worth a stop.

Bob M.

Yelp
Food we thought was good tasting and excellent value as we are from NY. However we thought the cocktails where way overpriced $18 for a low pour it's was New York City prices in MS

Stephen F.

Yelp
A great place for lunch or to pick up some steaks for grilling at home. Walking in you can smell the freshness, and when I say freshness I mean fresh. 3 of us were eating around 2:00 PM and they had already crossed off several of the day's specials..... I told you it was fresh. We bought the last 3 burgers..... I told you it was fresh. My burger tasted like it was cooked outside on a grill, which it just might have been. They have a meat case of freshness that they'll gladly wrap up so you can cook at home. A solid beer selection including some local breweries and finish your meal with some local ice cream. I'll be back!

Byron C.

Yelp
Quick lunch after the swim meet and this place hit the spot. The DMM Wedge, The Cobb, and DMM Burger were all tasty. A little gem in the middle of the delta.

S C.

Yelp
I'd have lunch here every day if I could. Freshest ingredients around. Fabulous salads, creative entrees, and friendly people. The wedge salad is amazing, and the vegetables have amazing flavor.

Christy R.

Yelp
Such an unexpected gem in the Mississippi Delta! We planned to visit family and make a stop on our way to East Tennessee. We normally stop in Memphis but this year made a detour south. What a great spot to eat and rest in Cleveland Mississippi! The restaurant is located in the Cotton house hotel and is so cute and modern. The food is outstanding and the local gifts and good items make the perfect gifts. If you are ever close to Cleveland, don't miss the meat market and a visit to the Cotton house and downtown at Christmas to see the light display!

Michelle B.

Yelp
Pros: Absolutely delicious! I wish it had been open more. We would have eaten every meal here. Located in The Cotton House. Courtney was a delight and shared things to do from a residents point of view for Cleveland. Cons: no breakfast and very limited hours.

William M.

Yelp
Had the Cob Salad with steak, sweet potatoes with warm sorghum on top and the Rueben Sandwich. The meat to kraut and dressing ratio gave this sandwich flavor, along with the way the meat was prepared. The sweet potatoes were extremely delicious and flavorful. Would recommend this place for the food, friendly, attentive service and atmosphere.

Donald M.

Yelp
Wow! We loved it! What a cool vibe. Casual, but trendy and modern, mixed with an actual market, but don't let that fool you. You can get as good a meal here as any upscale, big city five star restaurant. They keep it simple but with country flair. My wife had red snapper on a bed of field peas/Lima beans and bacon and corn. I would have never thought this went together, but it phenomenal! I had the flat iron steak on a bed of grits and roasted veggies. It was full of flavor, tender and delicious! Don't expect white linens and folded napkins. It's not that kind of place. We had very attentive young server. They mix great drinks with fresh ingredients and have a full bar!

Sandy J.

Yelp
I had the fried green tomato BLT and it was delicious. Prices were reasonable and service was good. I will go again!

Corey J.

Yelp
Stopped in here after a bad experience at another local place. The restaurant is located within the hotel. The decor is what I'd describe as Modern Southern Chic. with a great view of the shopping district. The server was pleasant, welcoming, and busy. The menu was minimal but with a nice variety of offerings. It was a printout and seems to change day to day or week to week which is nice. I ordered the Cobb Salad with steak and soda water with a lime. The drink was served in a charming little mason jar and the salad was well priced, well portioned and yummy. It consisted of a fresh greens mix tossed in ranch dressing with blue cheese crumbles, tender avocado, cherry tomatoes and what I would call egg yolk debris which was great and tied the whole salad together. The salad was carefully plated and was pleasant looking. The steak was tender, cooked medium rare, and had a great flavor. I withheld a single star because the black chairs were not very comfortable. Replace those with a padded seat and it would've been perfect. If I could give it another half star I would. Check this one out; it's A+ for the area.

Joe N.

Yelp
We were excited to try this restaurant after driving to Cleveland from Greenwood for lunch. Upon entering I found that it was a well designed and attractive space. The chalk board behind the counter offered a small list of entrees which I guessed may have been limited because of COVID and the small number of customers present. It was a Wednesday at 1:00pm. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my sister had the house burger. The shrimp and grits dish was good but unremarkable and frankly, I make it better. My sister felt the same in that her burger was good but nothing special. It was a beautiful space and a good dining experience but average at best.

Yelp
The Delta Meat Market, now located on the ground floor of The Cotton House Hotel in Cleveland, MS has been a rare jewel in the downtown area for several years now, but in its new incarnation on the other side of the green strip, it has blossomed into a fresh vibrant magnolia bloom of its former self. DMM has always been a great source for premium meat and seafood, but paired with the bright and welcoming space in the new location, it is sure to be one of the finest dining establishments in the entire MS Delta. From the moment my party and I walked in to DMM, we were cared for by friendly and attentive staff who not only took our orders with charming courtesy and prompt attention to detail, but made us feel at home as we took our seats. It is a rare and wonderful thing when diners feel like the staff has been secretly waiting for them to arrive all along! The seating was spacious and comfortable and the décor was inviting and the overall ambiance was like walking in to a room of old friends. I was dining with my wife and a few close friends and we ordered a variety of items from the menu so that we could share and experience some of the many exciting options available for dinner. My wife was thrilled at the presence of deviled eggs topped with bacon marmalade and sweet onion jam. Our friends chose the pork kielbasa and grits, and I ordered the wedge salad and the green tomato soup. My wife and friends raved about the eggs. I sampled the kielbasa and grits and was blown away! The sausage was cooked to perfection and even as a good old boy born and raised in the South, I've never had finer grits in my entire life! They were so creamy! The salad was excellent, but the shining surprise of our starters was the green tomato soup! It was topped with shaved almonds and the lemon and parsley in the soup gave it a fresh effervescence that felt like a spring morning. Just as we were polishing off our starters, our entrees arrived. Two of my friends ordered the grilled king salmon, one ordered the Homeplace Pastures Pork Chop with honey, and I decided to try my luck with the lamb curry. I HAD to have more of those grits and so ordered some as a side along with the sweet potatoes and sorghum. As we all began to dig in, our simmering dinner conversation about work and families was immediately replaced with polite closed mouth moans of gustational pleasure. The lamb curry was rich and spicy and topped a bed of gloriously tender long grain rice. The grits... mamma never made so good. The sorghum sweet potatoes were just about the best application for that tuber one could ever ask for! My friends were fortunate enough to share and I got to sample the pork chop, as well and I was only disappointed that I would have seemed a glutton to have ordered one right then and there and enjoyed it with my lamb curry! We finished our meal off with dessert. I had the lemon pound cake and it was a marvelous balance of rich textures, sweet icing, and tart lemon glaze. After dinner we went to the roof for a cocktail at the new Bar Fontaine and the relaxing atmosphere, cheery service, and incredible view of beautiful downtown Cleveland rounded out a perfect evening of great food, great drink, and great friends. It has been a long time since I've felt so thoroughly satisfied with a dining experience here in Cleveland. I am looking forward to many more and I highly recommend and endorse both Delta Meat Market and Bar Fontaine as stops for anyone looking for a memorable fine dining experience. Chef Cole Ellis and all of his staff are to be congratulated on such a fine job!

Lance B.

Yelp
Overall dining experience was OK. Went with a large group of 11. One person's salad was forgotten. Had to go get our own drinks several times. Food was slow, but good when it arrived. Entrees were spaced out over 10 minutes-- And it was not that busy. Just don't go in a hurry

Brooks R.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in the Delta! Great food and drinks as well as staff. Highly recommend!

Kurtis W.

Yelp
This is our first visit to the Delta Meat Market in their new location in the Cotton Inn. What a beautiful setting. With a couple of large Christmas party groups the space was filled with vibrant conversation and laughter. If you were seeking a quiet romantic dinner spot, this may not have been the night for you, but I can see where a regular night it would fill that bill. The wine and spirits list is large and has many high quality options, as well as enough basics to satisfying the more budget minded diner. The beer list was slightly limited for a beer lover like me, but there were some nice local options. The menu for the evening was outstanding. Our group of seven all found wonderful options to fit everyone's tastes and desires. The sorghum sweet potatoes were a universal hit. The seasoned frites were quite tasty. One member of our party requested the 18 oz ribeye cooked medium rare plus. They hit it spot on. The only fish that let a bit to be desired was the Berkshire pork chops. The flavor was good excellent but they were over cooked and dry. The raspberry jelly served with them was a big help. My suggestion, instead of serving two thin chops (which are very difficult to not over cook) serve one chop twice as thick. I'm sure you will not regret this upgrade on the menu and you customers will love you for it. Overall an excellent experience and we will be back. Probably for lunch today!

Yelp
It's a no for me. Saturday Brunch, I had the Southern Eggs Benedict and it was uneventful. No sauce, the craklin' biscuit tasted like flour, 1/2 slice of Kraft American sliced cheese with a pouched egg. But damn, it looked amazing.

Heather W.

Yelp
By far my favorite Wedge salad...EVER! The jam puts it over the top! Be sure and get the potato wedges.

Marysteele L.

Yelp
Yum Fresh, Fresh, and Fresh- marbled, heavy meats. hard to find cheeses. great to eat in or they will special order anything you want to cook at home. You gotta stop in and see this cool place and meet the fine people who run it!

Scott S.

Yelp
Ordered their burger medium rare, chips, water with lemon. Nice little place, decent ambience. The wait for food - 30 minutes (crowd was about 1/2 to 3/4 full) The Burger - Cold and Well done. Cheese was not melted or close to melted. Tasted like a larger version of a Carl's Jr./Hardee's burger but was super dry. All I can say is, it was good This is a definite skip for a burger. Only thing that saved it from being a 0-1 Star is the server was nice. SKIP IT

Yelp
Where to start! This is a hidden gem in beautiful Cleveland, MS. Cole the owner, chef, and marketeer of Delta Meat Market is amazing. I say he's a James Beard winner without a doubt. On Fridays in Cleveland Cole and bartender Kirkham host the best happy hour in the south. Starting at 5:30ish pm the town begins joining for drinks and the most delicious food ever. This last Friday was the end of a particularly stressful week and we were engulfed in the company and comfort at DDM. From the appetizers of duck breasts and crab claws that you would kiss your sister for the incredible main dishes of hangar steak and red snapper my foodie spirit was in heavenly bliss. Go! Drive! Spend the night and eat! Cleveland isn't my hometown. I'm a Texas girl but this sweet town is a delight and they've adopted my daughter and son in a law as their own and every time I visit I'm more impressed and in love with this special place in Cleveland, Mississippi! #keepClevelandboring

Yelp
Oh my! This unassuming, comfortably casual place is dishing out some amazing food. The tell? My teen-aged son could not leave my cobb salad alone! Salad! The flavor combination was amazing! The dressing, crunchy bits of real and crispy bacon, the expertly seasoned and cooked steak, all came together so delightfully. My son picked the Nashville hot fish sandwich. Another amazing choice, gauging by how quickly he ate it. The chunk of fish I took was very well-cooked and well-seasoned - flaky and crispy delicious-ness! Make time for this place. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Came for Brunch. Had the shrimp tacos with the grits. The grits were life changing and the shrimp tacos were spectacular. I would stop by if I was coming this way again.

Yelp
To update my review. DMM has moved locations and is now in the Cotton House Hotel downtown. The new dining area is beautiful. I didn't love how we were asked to order at lunch. We went to a hostess who gave us a menu and we stood in the entrance while trying to decide on our meal. One of us got the special which was a fried pork chop, black eyed peas and grits. I got the tomato bisque. The bisque came out at least 10 minutes before the special.. I hate eating while others just sit and honestly the soup was nothing to brag about. The special arrived and the pork chop was missing the chow chow, the peas had good flavor but were a little under done and the grits were cold. It was a disappointing experience. I'm hoping it's just the staff and such getting use to the new atmosphere and menu.
