this place is Sudbury comfort food at its peak honest to God the best milkshake I’ve ever had is their banana milkshake absolute classic. Everybody needs to try it. I’ve never had a bad experience with the staff or the food. chicken on a bun meal is wonderful as well as as their hamburger/cheeseburger meals.

The Lone Arch of the North Sudbury. A rugged landscape of nickel and grit. In the heart of it stands Deluxe Hamburgers, a local gem that dares to stand beneath a single, defiant arch. While the 'double-arched' giants homogenize the globe, Deluxe remains original, authentic, and utterly unshakeable. The atmosphere is that of the quintessential diner, a time capsule of chrome and culinary integrity. If you find yourself passing through the North, do not merely drive. Stop. Witness the legend. It is a burger that puts the conglomerates to shame.

I tried this establishment for breakfast for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. It serves a niche in the local restaurant industry, providing simple hearty food in a casual self serve diner experience using disposable plates and cutlery on plastic trays. My ratings are based on my view of how well the business fulfills its niche. Much like a Kia and Ferrari are very different vehicles with vastly dissimilar purposes and clientele, so is Deluxe and Cora's, for example. The food was freshly prepared, my eggs over easy oozed yellow goodness when cut into. The home fries were in the shape of fries but had that delicious home fries taste. I received 2 pieces of toast and 3 decent sized sausage links in my meal. The total cost of the meal, including tax, was $7.50. A never-ending cup of coffee is an additional $1.70. The counter staff were friendly, energetic, and diligent. Breakfast is served from 7 AM to 11 AM daily. The environment is relaxed, clean, casual, and filled mostly with diners in the mature age groups. Note that tip is optional due to the self serve business model. As a value proposition in the Sudbury diner , Deluxe sits atop the food chain (pun intended); explaining my 5* ratings. First time here with my family, food is bleh, had a long hair cooked into one of my fries. Hamburgers are basically frozen hamburgers you buy from the store, and the fries are just basic shoestring fries. Loved the interior and the staff is friendly but will not be coming back.

Sudbury is a One Arch Town! Chicken on a bun dinner is a separate food group. Buy the sauce mix! Not exactly, but so darn close.. It's really good...

First and maybe my last time here. I was expecting a homemade burger not something I can buy from a box in the frozen food section. The gravy tasted like watered-down Tabasco sauce. Everyone complains about the coleslaw, but that was actually the one thing I really liked. I prefer the vinegary coleslaw instead of a creamy coleslaw. Aside from the food, the service was ok, not exactly warm and welcoming. The worst thing overall was the bathroom. It was disgusting and smelled worse than a 50 year old outhouse.

These types of places are hard to come by nowadays as it felt like I was stepping back in time once I stepped through the door. A young crew of employees hold down the fort, as they turn around orders fairly quick. I ordered myself a single burger and an order of fish and chips. Fish came with a bun on the side so it became a sandwich. Tartar was packaged but the gravy seemed like their own recipe (similar to St Hubert’s). Next time I’ll try the chicken if I’m in town.

Should be 0 stars for customer service! The chicken on a bun used to have chicken slices piled up but now its a poor layer of bits. The sauce changed and the fries had gross black lines on them. When I brought them up to ask the manager was getting new fries when the female at the cash says, "she ate most of them anyways. then continued chirping about have the day you deserve! bye! OMGOODNESS. I can't believe that customer service.

Good place to grab a quick meal. Prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are huge . They give me my food in two minutes. It's a super busy place.

Well my friends invited me to go on a trip to Sudbury and I was not thinking of coming, but they convinced me. So we left the gta on a fun road trip on a nice sunny day, as soon as we got into Sudbury they brought me to Deluxe Hamburgers. The staff were so friendly and the food satisfied my Hunger from the long road trip. What a day I've had, will definitely come again.

Delicious hamburger. Took my friend from out of town here. He is very picky eater but he loves it. He drank the gravy and the coleslaw juice. Every last crumb is gone. Got the cheeseburger dinner. Comes with gravy and coleslaw. Quick service. Nice diner vibe, classic.

Friendly service and delicious food. We both ordered the popular Chicken in a bun sandwich dinner combo because it was highly recommended by a local. The chicken in the bun was cut up in big pieces and plentiful in a very thick sesame seed hamburger bun and their special bbq gravy sauce but was a little dry. It was made to order and hot. Love that the fries is fried fresh with every order and it is a must to pour the bbq gravy sauce on top of the super generous large portion of fries. Would highly recommend this place. Bonus points for a clean inside dining room and have both Pepsi and Dr. Pepper among other soda options.

The last time I remembered stopping at a Deluxe Hamburgers venue was when I lived in Northern Ontario over 3 decades ago. My hotel was across the street so I couldn't resist a more affordable meal than what the hotel dining room offered. My dinner selection tonight was: Onion Rings $3.30 (they're real ones and not onion flour), a Super Regular Dinner $7.55 (Deluxe burger with 2 patties, fries, coleslaw, and what tasted like a tomato flavoured gravy), and a large Fountain Pop $0.99 (any size special was the same price). The order taker was cheerful and the food preparation was quick; nobody else in line. This is no McDonalds and Deluxe has carved out a different crowd of customers. It's unique and I loved my meal....count today as a refresher course that there are hamburger choices out there. The dining area seats about 40 people and I t's a clean. Lots of parking but I jaywalked across a five lane roadway. There is a drive-thru at this location as well.

Worst burger place I have ever been. I had their flagship sandwich "chicken on the bun" and I asked if it was breast chicken to which they said yes, but the sandwich is basically pieces of chicken, some very chewy, with horrible gravy on a bun... nothing else. The blueberry milkshake came white and tasting vanilla. They use a sugary syrup that is also horrible and the fries had potential to be good, it was cut small and it was crispy but unfortunately it was too salty... also they have no combo so I paid almost $15 for the meal that I couldn't finish 1/4 of it :(

This city's fast food industry was built on one arch. For over 50 years the Deluxe Hamburgers franchise has survived the onslaught of American clowns, kings, red heads and poultry colonels to remain the true "taste of Sudbury." Whether you're enjoying the chicken on a bun or a cheeseburger deluxe with Deluxe's signature fries and gravy, you can rest assured that this isn't health food. Don't come in expecting tossed salads with fresh mangoes and you won't leave disappointed. What you get is good fast food that has remained a staple of the Sudburian diet since long before they built a second arch. Try the breakfast. It's got eggs, home fries, toast and coffee at a good price.

If you're looking for greasy food super fast go to Deluxe Burger. The food was super fast and pretty cheap. My husband and I had onion rings and poutine. The onion rings were fantastic. The fries in the poutine were delicious and it looked like real cheese curds but the gravy wasn't your typical poutine style gravy. It had a bit of spice to it so it was still pretty good. Definitely try the milkshakes, they're super!

If your going to the greater Sudbury area it is a must. It's a classic spot to grab a chicken on the bun or a hamburger. Plus the fries are amazing

Looks like ball park food. Tastes like ball park food. What more of a review do you need? Imagine going to a local ball game to grab a burger. Picture the menu. White background, with that black analog lettering they have to stick on themselves. The burger arrives. Looks simple enough. Now imagine tasting that concession stand burger. This is a deluxe burgers burger

Sauce/gravy is delicious. Chicken wings and fries are really tasty too! Prices are decent. This Regent street location has superior tasting/quality food and better prices than the Kingsway Deluxe location. In the future, I will always return to the Regent street location. I will never return to the Kingsway location.

Not a great experience.. We just stopped in as we were passing through. It's basically greasy fast food without the flavour. Had fish and chips, not worth it at all. Was frozen fish sticks. Didn't have the burger, may be better..

Great food, fast service. Fries are fresh cut and cooked, and the fish is great. For the price, you really can't go wrong, you get a decent amount of food, it tastes the same or better than similar restaurants, and you get super fast service.

I decided to try it out today. Mistake. Burger pattie was maybe a quarter inch thick and on a huge bun. Could barely taste the meat . The fries were super skinny and very salty. McDonalds fries are a far superior choice. It's thumbs down for me!
