By far, the best winery in Los Alamos, and also the best kept secret. Call ahead to make sure they are open, and you’ll end up sipping wine in Tuscany.

We started our day at a fairly if not super well known winery (name withheld) The wine was good but the crowd and staff was stuffy, not accommodating and somewhat rude On to our second winery …. Demetria … so damn awesome. This place is absolutely fantastic !!! Demetria blew the other winery out of the water The views, the staff, the wine … all top notch Tons of locals … which is a great sign. They even let us bring in our sandwiches that Adrianna from Preferred Limo and Transport had arranged for us. Logan was a great server/pourer and the proprietor, Lexi was fantastic. We joined the club and will be back in person I give this place my highest recommendation A+++++

Google
Great winery to visit off the beaten path, be sure to have a reservation or you will not be admitted. The wine is quite good here, one of our favorites time and time again. Sommelier was knowledgeable, polite and efficient. We are members and enjoy the experience, so peaceful ad quiet there.

Google
We loved our experience at Demetria. Logan was very welcoming and kind. It felt so much more private compared to some of the other vineyard tastings in the area. Beautiful view and atmosphere. The kitty cats were also adorable. Highly recommend!

Google
A poor experience overall. With an appointment required and a few minutes of driving on a private road to get into the estate, we assumed we were going to have an elevated experience. That quickly disappeared as soon as we arrived. It was my wife and my first time at the winery. The gentleman hosting us was kind of a snob and unwelcoming. Seemed to not even care that we made a reservation so we wondered why we needed to in the first place. It didn’t seem like it was to limit customer capacity as the seating was full. Our host never engaged with us or was interested in helping to make our experience enjoyable. We split a tasting flight because wine by the glass isn’t offered. He couldn’t be bothered to bring another glass so we could split the tasting between the two of us so we had to share a glass. The time between pours was very drawn out so we had plenty of time in between to ruminate about how bad the experience was. He looked at our table numerous times as we just sat and waited for him to come with the next pour but it seemed like he was ignoring us on purpose. Even though my wife mentioned to him she prefers reds over whites and asked him if he could bring the red wine tastings out (partly to speed up the whole experience) he said this was the order they go in. It got to the point where I went inside and paid just so we could leave faster. We honestly didn’t want to be there any longer than we had to be, and we won’t recommend the winery to anyone. The wine might have been good, but since the experience overall was so bad, I forgot if they were. One star for the estate being in a beautiful location.

Google
Off the beaten path and we’ll worth the drive. Logan was our tasting guide and a great one at that! He really went the extra mile to ensure we had a fun and memorable experience. The grounds and views were beautiful.

Google
Summary: Gorgeous grounds with great views but wasn't the most welcoming. Also, the drive in is about 7 min on a dirt road with amazing views but be prepared with your car you may need to take it slow. We had a truck so it was fun. Wine wasn't bad but wine is also about experience for me so the memory it left isn't a great one. You definitely need a reservation, The guy Nick doing the tastings on first impressions seems like a stickler and like he's sick of his job. Maybe we caught him on a bad day but we left pretty convinced he didn't want us there. Full story: Full disclosure there is a sign at the gate that says reservations online but we made the call to go in thinking that maybe they would give us a break since it was a Monday and thought it may be a slow day based on the other wineries we visited that day. We walked in and immediately said we dont have a reservation and asked if it was ok and were totally ready to be turned away which would've been fine but the guy inside was sweet and said it's ok go ahead and find a table. So we did, it wasn't crowded and the views are gorgeous. When it came to the actual guy, Nick outside who was conducting the tastings, he was really put out. When he found out we hadn't made a reservation he started in on how slammed he was about to get and how he wanted to manage expectations, that tastings take 2.5 hours, and how people ignore the sign and of course we had, so we were still apologetic and thankful and just told him we'd get two bottles so he wouldn't have to worry about us making him more busy. (mind you it was just two of us) After bringing the bottles and the glasses he didn't have to do anything for us the whole time but it was clear he didn't really want to. It never got super busy, plus while we were there about 40 min another party of 5 just came in a sat down without a reservation and we heard him tell them it's ok it's slow today. Then when it came time and we walked in to pay the $130 for drinking two bottles with a view he was just as avoidant and unfriendly. So it just felt a little personal. We have a place in the area because we fell in love with this wonderful part of Santa Barbara county, the people and wineries are generally so welcoming and feel like community. Not so full of themselves, but this place definitely felt like Napa vibes. Which is some people's thing, just not ours.

Google
We had an incredible experience at Demetria! From the moment we arrived, Logan made us feel welcome and ensured our tasting was unforgettable. He was thoughtful and engaging, sharing insights about the property’s history and the wines, all while making sure we were well cared for. It’s no surprise he was a crowd favorite with everyone in our group of bachelorette gals! The wines were outstanding—the best we tasted all day. It’s clear that Demetria takes immense pride in crafting exceptional wines and creating a memorable experience for their guests. This is a must-visit destination!

We had a fantastic time at Demetria. The scenery is gorgeous, the service is fantastic, and the wine was great.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at this lovely winery! We had reservations for noon and half of our party got "lost" (more on that later). Logan greeted us with a wide smile and said not to worry and he poured us a little white wine to calm our nerves! We would definitely come again!

Yelp
Heaven on earth - we joined over a decade ago , fell in love with the estate , John the owner and love their wines - esp their Rose ! Yes you do need to make a reservation because of the high demand give the unique grounds , unforgettable experience and the fact that they are trying to keep the seating and service a quaint and personal . Those who want more of an " institutional" wine tasting experience , need not come here. But if you want a deeply personal , quaint tasting with service given with such sincerity and warmth where one truly feels like a part of their " family " , then do come here ... I absolutely adore Logan , Alexis and team and always leave with a touch of sorrow but also with great anticipation for my next return to pick up my wines !

Yelp
We've been coming to this wonderful place for over 10 years now and it has become a go-to destination when visiting the SY valley. Demetria Estate is a hidden gem and truly a jewel of the valley. Set in the picturesque hills of Foxen Canyon, the beauty of this place always gives me the feeling that I could be in Tuscany. This wonderful vineyard has become our go-to spot and has been the site of many birthday parties, memorable family celebrations and more. Alexis and his team bring the best of Greek and Southern hospitality to the table, always providing a warm greeting and making us feel special and right at home. Not to mention the wine! Some of my favorites - the Rose is to die for! Last week I had the Sauvignon Blanc, which might be my new favorite, and the Mouvedre was incredibly complex and oh so drinkable! There's so much more I could say but just wanted to share the love! A few tips - Demetria has become very popular and so I highly recommend making reservations well in advance. Come prepared to spend a good amount of time here - this is the main event - the type of winery to sip and savor. Bring a picnic basket of your favorite foods and sit back and enjoy.

Yelp
We had such a great time visiting Demetria! The drive up to the estate was super beautiful. We drove past rows and rows of vines labeled with the exact type of wine those grapes turn into which was really cool because we ended up trying those wines when we got to our tasting. The gentleman who conducted our flight was very friendly and laid back which fit the relaxed vibe of the estate really well. His catchphrase was "tell me what you think," after he poured each wine which we really appreciated as it encouraged us to come up with our own opinion on each tasting. The best part of our time at Demetria though? Thomas the cat!

Yelp
An exclusive winery, hidden at the top of the estate! When you've reached the entrance, you'll be invited through the gates to their winery estate. It's 200-acre of land, and your drive will take you up and down of the winery hills. After a 10-min drive, you'll reach their tasting room and a peaceful view towards the west. They offer a tasting menu for 5-6 glass of wine. The host will introduce and tell you stories of each bottle making. Feel free to bring your own food/snacks. All seatings are outdoor in a garden/terrance area. Many natural shades from the trees are available.

Yelp
We have been to Demetria twice. The first time in March and we fell in love with the wine, view, and attentive, friendly service...so much that we became part of the wine society (members). The rosé is particularly delicious, beautiful pinkish color, slight bubbly, and fruit forward without being sweet. I LOVE that we can bring our munchies to enjoy the view and a glass of wine in hand. We want back in April and brought friends to enjoy the atmosphere of Demetria. Again, service was attentive, friendly, and on par. We sampled the chardonnay, rosé, and a couple reds. The vibe is relaxing, chill, and enjoyable. This is one of our new go-to wineries. If you want a place to sample good wine, enjoy a beautiful view, with attentive service, and the occasional kitty nearby...put Demetria on your next visit.

Yelp
Beautiful winery. Views of the hills and vineyard mesmerizing. You can bring a picnic. Reservations are recommended. Located just outside Los Olivos on the Foxen Trail. I love the Rose, Viognier and Tempranillo. There is music on the weekends. Logan and Alexis are Excellent hosts. I have been a member for several years and Highly recommend.

Yelp
This was our first time going wine tasting in Los Olivos, and Demetria Estate came highly recommended. It is absolutely beautiful here, and the perfect place for a relaxing wine tasting! You get to sit outside, and you have a magnificent view of the estate grounds. Delicious wine, fresh air, and lovely surroundings - what could be better? They also allow you to bring in outside food, so you can bring in your own snacks or meal to enjoy while drinking your wine. It was super busy when we were there, and they only had one person working. Definitely could've used more staff, but he made it work and was still super friendly while doing it. The wine here was excellent. Really enjoyed the Syrah. Definitely recommend making reservations, especially if you have a larger party. The last 2 miles to the winery is essentially a one-car road that goes both ways, so just make sure you drive carefully. A great choice for a highly-enjoyable wine tasting.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Demetria Estate Winery and am happy to share the many reasons why.... 1. The drive out Foxen Canyon to the winery is absolutely gorgeous and worth the 20-minutes or so to meander through the countryside. 2. The vineyard offers gorgeous outdoor seating in a relaxed, casual environment. I usually bring a picnic to enjoy while we are tasting, since the winery doesn't offer food options. 3. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. We've been members of the winery for many years and we always see the same happy faces every time we visit. 4. The wines are fabulous! The winery practices biodynamic wine making, lending to the overall taste and quality of the wine experience. It's nice knowing that no pesticides or chemicals are used in the process. 5. The winery is small and intimate, which is the type of organization I like to support. Nothing mass-produced. The people serving your wine are most likely the people behind the making of the wine. I always recommend Demetria to all of my friends that are visiting the Los Olivos area. If you join their wine club, they host awesome pick-up parties, too!

Yelp
I had never heard of this place and I thought I knew all the SYV. What a gem. The wine is exquisite. The setting has to be one of the prettiest in the whole valley. Please know you are taking a long road up a hill to find this place. If I didn't know that, I would have turned around thinking I was lost. Logan was great! Def worth a stop!

Alex U.

Yelp
Great wine. Very friendly staff. Beautiful outdoor setting under trees with great views. Will joint their wine club.
google avatar

David St. H.

Yelp
We've been members for over 20 years. The owner's father, John, was charming - he would talk about the bio-dynamic farming he would do by the light of the moon and how he named the winery after his daughter. They would even let us play ping pong in the back. It was quaint and charming. We would recommend to everyone, even though the wine itself wasn't that great. Fast forward many years. We show up today and can't be seated because we didn't make a reservation despite the fact that there were seats open. The owner Alexis was condescending and didn't care. We cancelled our decades long membership on the spot. They didn't care about loyalty. It was depressing. [I read response below. Respectfully disagree. They were rude. It's just sad.]

Yelp
We love this winery. It is one of the most beautiful wineries in Santa Ynez and the drive out on Foxen Canyon is spectacular. The wine is always great and Logan always make you feel right at home. As a wine member, we have our favorites but we are always pleasantly surprised with a new wine each time we visit. We love sitting outside at their tasting room and they always allow outside food (they do not sell any food there). There are walking trails throughout the winery as well. You won't be disappointed with a tasting here!

Yelp
Had the absolute best time here on our first visit. First off, this winery is tucked away in a private estate. When you come up to the entrance, there's a code to dial in and the gates will open. You drive through this beautiful path to get to the winery. Once inside, the view is truly beautiful. I absolutely loved the ambiance. It's warm, cozy and feels like you're wine tasting in someone's home and their backyard. We had the best time here and bought a bottle to-go because it was so delicious. Highly highly recommend!!!!
google avatar

Marisol F.

Yelp
The views at this winery!!!! The trip to the top is a bit long but worthy the time. They open at 11:00 by appointment only . Tastings are $30.00 per person , my favorite wine was the Tempranillo. You can bring your dogs as long they get along with the kitties living at the winery. They let you bring your own food, and the music in the patio creates a great ambiance. Service was ok.

Yelp
We discovered Demetria a few months ago on a weekend visit to Los Olivos. We fell in love! It is a spectacular setting - so much so that we decided become wine society members and decided to rent the winery ( after hours) for my husband's 70th birthday party with family & friends. It was a huge success, thanks in part to the terrific Logan Livermore, their event manager. The wines are delicious and we had great recommendations from Logan on caterers. Our family was suitably impressed with the setting and of course the wines! Highly recommend!

Yelp
What an incredible place. Friendly staff make you feel at home but really feels like you are in Tuscany. Excellent wine and an absolute gem in Santa Ynez Valley!
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
Amazing location with stunning views. Feels like you're in Tuscany. Alexis, Logan and Nick are wonderful hosts, very personable and fun!

Kathy M.

Yelp
It's always a pleasure relaxing with family & friends at your gorgeous estate. We always feel like we're in the countryside in Italy, but even better, we're all together right in the hills of Santa Ynez., CA. Logan is a wonderful host, & all of your wines are superb!

Yelp
1. Ambience and setting- Beautiful very private winery. Once you get past the gate it's a beautiful drive to get to the main estate. The estate is lovely with beautiful views. They have lovely events if you are a member and sometimes they are open to non-members including movies outside It looks like a great place to have a party as well. There are houses on site that you can rent out as well. You feel like you've just walked onto a set of a movie - it is that idyllic It's a gravel road once you leave the main road and pass through the gates. It's also a bit narrow. 2. Wines. Organic and biodynamic The wines were very good. We miss getting the rosé as they sell out of that pretty early in the season. We ended up joining the wine club and got our flight of tasting included and the discount on purchases. 3. There is a resident cat. Yes you can bring your doggie if he is kind, sweet and on a leash a.k.a. not a bother to the kitty cat 4. Staff - take a look at my photo. Thank you Logan. Staff is great. They know their stuff. And they're part of the gorgeous beauty of the setting... 5. Reservations - required ! 6. Food - they do not offer food but I think you can bring your own picnic. 7. Wifi- it's lovely you don't have Wi-Fi service. They can give you a code but only six people can be on at at a time. They let me use their landline when I needed to check on a family member who was recuperating at home.

Yelp
The drive up and into this vineyard is spectacular. The scenes are out of a story book. Sit at one of the last tables before the stairs down to the lower seating area for the best view of the hillside vineyards. The wines we tasted were some of the best in the area. Worth the trip up from Santa Barbara or LA.

Summer V.

Yelp
The best place on foxen canyon. We liked every single wine on the tasting list. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Will 1000% be coming back!!

Frank P.

Yelp
The owner was rude insulting and condescending. Said we needed a reservation (we didn't know reservations were required) but offered to seat us anyway. We were so disgusted by his attitude we left after 5 minutes. We will NEVER, EVER GO BACK THERE. I informed my wine club never to do business here.

Kristen E.

Yelp
You will never be disappointed in your experience here. Treat yourself to the beautiful scenery, warm and welcoming staff topped off with delicious wine. Demetria can't be beat, it's my "Happy Place ".
google avatar

Lin F.

Yelp
Scenic views for days- both vineyard scene and of course Logan. He explained the pours and potential food pairings- given that Thanksgiving is right around the corner- Turkey seemed to be on the mind. Agno - red- for sipping. Syrah for Thanksgiving guests and Chenin Blanc for when the clock strikes noon and it's okay to start to wine down! Looking forward to celebrating with family -- thanksgiving and sharing wine stories. Wine ghetto off Santa Rosa Rd -- visit this whole area for filling up your wine fridge for the holidays. Demetria- appointment needed for tastings. You may bring a small cooler- some people had their own tapas and their top dog too- patio shared benches and independent tables too for those cutie pie couples. I was there for a pre ride tasting. The crew came the next day. I am most pleased with the 4 bottles I purchase. My friend purchased 2. Make the time to be here!
google avatar

Viktoria T.

Yelp
Absolute slice of heaven on Earth. Reservations are required, so plan ahead. Bring a picnic or some food to snack on, and sit out on the patio enjoying incredible views, impeccable service, and superb wines. Every time I'm here, I never want to leave.

Yelp
I've been visiting SYV wine country since 2009 and this is probably my new favorite winery. Friends have been recommending it the last few years and we finally managed to make a visit happen, the highlight of our 3 night trip up here. It has it all - low key vibes, views, rustic charm, and amazing wine. Gorgeous, peaceful setting, even though we had our busy young kids with us. Tons of space to spread out and let them run around on the grassy open area below away from the tables. They were obsessed with the gentle resident sheepherding dog. And another resident dog and cat added to the casual charm. Logan was so easygoing and set a great atmosphere. Other groups were relaxed and friendly. It's like you can't help but feel content with life when you're here! You could bring a picnic and spend the most pleasant day here without hitting up anywhere else in wine country! That might be our plan next time :-)

Wanda H.

Yelp
My friends and I will be heading back to this beautiful little winery again next month. It is such a lovely place to spend an afternoon. Alex & Logan are delightful and add some fun to the whole experience . Oh yeah, the wine is pretty wonderful, too?

Kira S.

Yelp
I've been to Demetria many times. Love love love the ambiance here. It's a gorgeous estate overlooking their vineyard. You sit out in their courtyard, and the all male crew, who are all undeniably gorgeous, bring you your wines and share incredible details about each variety. It's very far removed from the hustle and bustle, so you get to soak in the serenity and peace while you are tasting the most delicious wines...Demetria is family owned and operated, so on most occasions you will be able to cross paths with Alexis who is as hands on an owner as it gets!!!!! The knowledge!! The beauty!!! The wines, and the Servers.....it just doesn't get any better!!
google avatar

Mo F.

Yelp
Just received my first membership installment of wines. I can't wait to try them all. In the meantime, I had to post my homemade clam chowder in sourdough bowl with my favorite wine CHENIN BLANC (and wine glass)! Love this winery and learned so much about wine. Logan teaches everyone that I come with and me so much that we've converted from sweet wine drinkers to enjoying and appreciating all types of wine. Now I order wine (verses moscato) out and pair with certain foods. I'm not such a newbie wine drinker anymore! You have to go and enjoy the beautiful scenery of vineyards, greenery and animals. Bring your own charcuterie, snacks, or pack a lunch and they will help you pair the wine flight. See you there!!!

Serge R.

Yelp
Have been coming to this winery several times over the last decade or two and got to like their rose. This past Mothers Day I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by and pick up a case of rose. I was met with a stern warning that I have to have a reservation. I said I only need to grab a case and leave, the guy helping me was not happy but brought out my wine. I have to say, for a very average wine producer with a high price tag they are way too obnoxious and unfriendly. I guess they don't realize there are hundreds of wineries selling same or even better wine, and much nicer to their customers. Next time I'll spend my $400 somewhere else. Melville, Sunstone, Babcock and many others come to mind
google avatar

Yelp
This winery is magical and I always love coming back to taste the exceptional wines and enjoy the view. This is the one and only winery to which I have a wine club membership that I have never, and will never, give up-even if I was destitute and the world was ending (and I'm not kidding). I cannot say enough good things about wines like Pantheon (the strawberry and tobacco profiles are amazing), Viognier (bright peach!) and the Santa Maria Pinto Noir (notes of cherry and mushroom were never so good together). There is a substantial tasting menu, great pacing on serving and it is very affordable, especially considering the generous pour. Logan has always been our guide thru the tasting menu and takes exceptional care of guests. Gravy, a dog, and a couple cats are friendly and give the large patio area an at home feel. It is key to get a nice picnic basket of snacks or lunch to bring with you. It is encouraged and highly recommended. There is absolutely nothing like cruising gently through the rows and rows of vines to have a beautiful chateau appear, hoist your cooler of goodies with you to a tasting table and enjoy the views of rolling, grape studded hills while sipping Syrah. Make reservations on their website before going. It really is a slice of heaven and I'm so glad to have had an opportunity to visit several times. Enjoy!

Lisa B.

Yelp
This place is special! From the gorgeous drive into the winery, the lovely winemakers who are so passionate about what they are doing to the delicious organic wines that they serve. What a gem!We recently took our family and brought in a picnic while tasting the newest spring wines. Our family absolutely loved it. Cheers to the Demetria family for creating a beautiful setting and incredible organic wine ( no headaches!).
google avatar

Israel G.

Yelp
The wine is delicious. The place is beautiful. The customer service was not good. Downside? The music they played was terrible. We even asked for more variety. It was ignored. Even worse, the server (who apparently played their own personal playlist of sad folk music) became defensive (calling my wife rude!!). Unacceptable. The owner heard and said nothing. Also another customer who overheard all this agreed that the music selection is no bueno and said it's a "snooty" place with great wine. Sad. Can you please every customer? No, of course not; however, you can be kind, professional, friendly and accommodating whenever possible.

Gaylyn F.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite wineries in the Los Olives area! I've been a wine club member for many years, and we always start there with a picnic and enjoy a beautiful view with great wine served by their friendly and knowledgable wine experts. We are always treated like family. Their rosé is the best!

Kimberli I.

Yelp
Demetria is a must when wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley! Their outdoor tastings with beautiful views of the hills, full of vineyards. And of course, the best wine guys in the valley. Thank you Logan for making it a wonderful experience.

Blake H.

Yelp
This place is very peaceful and beautiful the scenery is unbelievable the service is even better with logan cracking all the jokes. I have been a member for a while now and i will never regret it coming here for my birthday a couple weeks ago and coming to show my friends. Wine is great with having descriptions of each wine we tasted with the also tasting amazing. Highly recommend to come up here and become a member great people, food, and place.

Larry B.

Yelp
This Gem of Wineries is located in the beautiful hills of Los Olivos, CA on Foxen Canyon Road. Here you'll find fine wines and a staff that is not only knowledgeable about their vintages, they also are down to earth people that Love What They Do. Truly Awesome!
google avatar

Marios D.

Yelp
Another amazing visit. The atmosphere and scenery was as always beautiful. Staff was excellent and took care of us. Did the wine flight and purchased some excellent wines - rose, SB, Constantin and Syrah....love it I highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Flora H.

Yelp
*** 4.5 stars *** Having tried most of the wineries on Foxen Canyon Road, I find that they are always good but pale in comparison to Foxen. Enter Demetria, which I chose for the ambiance because it would be a good place to bring a picnic lunch. I was surprisingly impressed by pretty much every wine that we tried here from the white to the rose to the red. It's pricey, but definitely of a higher caliber than most wineries. They were very friendly here and gave us a couple of extra pours so we could try the Mourvedre (one of my favorite varietals that is most commonly used in blends and usually not standalone) and the Rose (which we ended up take a couple of bottles home with us). Buy 3 bottles and get a $30 tasting waived, the rose is $30, so if you were planning on buying 2 bottles - well do the math.
google avatar

Jayne L.

Yelp
My husband and I are members of several wineries, and Demetria is by far our favorite! Though we don't get to travel to Los Olivos often, when we do, we always make sure to grab the first appointment at Demetria, pack a picnic lunch, and enjoy the perfection of a view and atmosphere, complete with sweetest winery cats! Although we don't visit as much as we would like , once we are there we are treated like family. I couldn't recommend Demetria more :) Also - the wine club is worth every penny. I do a happy dance every quarter when my bottles arrive :) I have never opened a bottle that disappointed.

Yelp
This winery has very poor customer service unless you fit their demographic. They missed out on a case purchase because they ignored our table and were rude and dismissive. They do not appreciate their customers.

Living The Life Z.

Yelp
Disclaimer- we did not have reservations... We got to this hidden spot and upon arrival learned you needed reservations. We understood but they said they would make an accommodation for us this time. We were thankful. The owner and another server were short and irritated with us from the beginning and we missed the cues that we were not wanted despite us confirming details about what we were hoping to do (enjoy 4 tastings at the minimum). We saw our server pouring purposely extra splashes to groups next to us (never offering us one), saw empty water bottles but did not gather us additional (we went to their pseudo hosting area and grabbed ourselves more). We were automatically charged a 22% gratuity (which they told us) but did nothing deserving of more than 10% (they just poured tastings half heartedly. I was honestly ready to kill them with kindness despite their attitude but they were sending rude back handed comments. Never caring to communicate what there wine were about or more. I was ready to speak to the owner but realized he himself was not ready to discuss anything. I left knowing I would never be back. We had an incredible time and service at Fess Parker I just couldn't believe another winery near by could have had such an opposite experience. It was disheartening to say the least as it appeared they would benefit from more customers but the rudeness experienced has my friends and I up in arms with the place. A member of our group did buy extra bottles. Maybe it was upsetting that there were only 4 tastings but the others in our group had enjoyed enough to recognize that another tasting would not do them well so they sat that one out. Lastly I say all this being a wine member at over 10 wine clubs... aside from the one wine they don't have much to offer and their hosting abilities truly lacked. Maybe it was an off day, but it would have been better for them to refuse service when we didn't have reservations then to treat us the way we were treated. We went in to pay and left as quickly as we could. Horrible service, rude server and owner. Would never let anyone I care for come to this place.

Yelp
Came here as our first stop of wine tasting for the weekend. They are located on the top of a hill and the view is wonderful! Due to COVID we had had to sit outside, but I think we would have anyway because of the view and perfect weather. One thing to note is that gps will just take you to the front gate, but you are still about 10/15 min on a roughish dirt road, to the tasting room, so plan accordingly if you have reservations.

Yelp
What a beautiful setting! We had been meaning to come here for so long but it's a bit off the beaten path and kept getting pushed on prior trips. So glad we prioritized it this trip! The wine was great and Nick provided wonderful service, easily convincing us to join the wine club. Definitely worth the drive for the wine and the views.

Yelp
I'm almost hesitant to tell the world how much I love this place. Every time we come, Logan is the most upbeat and caring server. We always get the best service and pours of the most amazing wines! I always melt at Demetria wines... their sparkling roses and syrahs are my favorite. Plus, there's this sense of magic from the place itself. You really can't beat the ambiance. Super family friendly which I can always appreciate. Good wine, beautiful scenery and service, and family love always pair well so the truth is out: after so many years of coming to a zillion wineries in Santa Ynez and beyond, Demetria is our favorite spot.

Yelp
Demetria Estate Winery definitely lives up to the hype! I love the scenery and ambiance here. The drive up to the tasting area is amongst the most beautiful you can find in California, and is certainly well worth setting up an appointment for. Next time I'm in wine country, it will be tough to pass this one up. This may be my new favorite. From start to finish, everything at Demetria Estate was so nice and elegant. The service was on Michelin-star level, and the open seating was abundant, with great views no matter where you choose. The pours were generous in size and delicious in taste. I enjoyed all of the wines I tried here, and enjoyed the atmosphere and environment even more. After the tasting, we walked around the estate to take some pictures. Demetria was definitely the stand-out from our weekend in wine country. I highly recommend this spot to all!

Yelp
VIEWS, VIEWS, VIEWS. Did I mentioned the views? So beautiful, driving through the vineyards was an amazing experience. The road to the winery is not as bad as some reviews say, don't miss out on this experience. We stopped along the road a few times on our way to the winery. The flowers were blooming! Once at the winery, my cousin and I sipped on some delicious wine. Nick was great! He told us about the owner, location and of course the wine. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Hands down, the best winery with the best views, best service, and best of all, fantastic wine! The drive up the hill can be harrowing but worth every moment of panic :)
