Awesome place! True Denali experience! Amazing staff and a lot of fun Stuff to do! Susan the Gm and her staff took great care of all our needs! And a great spot to see the northern lights! |Plenty restaurants in the area including the Overlook which is great for fine dining! And Prospectors Pizza at the boardwalk!

Google
Seeing quite a few rough reviews on this place. We stayed there for two nights at the very end of August so pretty late in the season. |The good - the cabin was clean, fairly spacious, with a few nice touches like in-room coffee and a cooler outside with free ice in lieu of a fridge. Staff was friendly and helpful - bringing us extra pillows and coffee pods upon request. Plenty of hot water in a good shower. The restaurant was good and easy to get to. |The rest - yes the floor was slanted, enough to make you wanna be careful but not enough to make it a problem really. The staff was young and you might wonder who’s in charge but they all seemed ready to help, making sure that some of the issues I’ve seen mentioned were addressed (shampoo, off hours phone, golf cart were all made very clear upon check in). |As for value, yes it seems pricey compared to other cities in the lower 48 but looking around Denali it’s actually priced about right for what it is. |Solid 3 stars overall. Would stay again.

This is definitely a cabin. Be prepared to be cold. The heater in the room takes 2-3 hours to heat up the cabin. We were given a broken down space heater, very dangerous. The bathroom is an add on so it’s very cold. Stay away from the Keurig machine, looked moldy. The beds are super uncomfortable. The only good thing about this cabin was the location. Would not stay here again.

Google
Don't get sucked in by the websites pictures, it's not that nice. The latest refurbishment to our two rooms was shoddy and unprofessionally done. The carpet is filthy and the hot water would scald a person if not careful. The floor to our room slanted down the hillside making one wonder about the foundation. On our last night we were kept awake from 11PM to 4AM from a staff assisted party 3 doors down from our rooms. The interesting looking restaurant on the property was closed. Signage for the property doesn't exist and the staff is poorly trained. I know we're not here for the hotel experience but, for the prices they charge you would expect something a little nicer.

Amazing time with my family in the cabins. We visit in September for a weekend getaway... We really enjoyed our time.. the staff members were very nice and attentive to details.. I'm definitely coming back with the fam again. Thank you!!!!!

Our group was a huge group of 16 people and we were really noisy and still the management didn’t tell us anything nor did they make us feel uncomfortable. They were really patient with our requests and did not say no to anything. We even used the hot springs and sauna and it was a beautiful experience. The temperature was hot and water was absolutely clean. We check in really late and yet the staff was accomadative. They even allowed us to check out late.

Google
Super convenient place to stay when visiting Denali National Park. There are lots of shops and restaurants very close. The bed was very comfortable. These are individual cabins, and they are old. There is a new coat of paint outside but pretty shabby inside but clean. There is a TV, internet, a bathroom and hot water. There is a cooler and chairs out front of each cabin and they provide ice. Which for this area of Alaska is pretty good. We had our own car, but they also offered shuttle service. It's safe, and the team that works there is very attentive and pleasant. The view every morning was Amazing! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend for purposes of going to Denali.

Google
The staff at the Crows nest all very nice on the day shift. Due to several hiccups in accommodations /communication we only stayed 1 night instead of 5. We pre-paid in Jan for five night stay. We arrived by train early 1:00p)but had no problem waiting till check-in time (4:00p) the staff was supposed to call us. At 6:30 p we checked our luggage was still sitting outside. No one was aware they were to call us. They checked us in, our cabin was definitely on a downward slant. Prior to arrival I had called to schedule shuttle, I inquired at that time about their connectivity for WiFi, cell. I needed to do two mtgs remotely, one on Monday. I was told they have good connectivity. First the tv didn’t work, couldn’t get my laptop to connect when it did it had the death circle and would cut out. The office staff couldn’t get tv to work either. (Gave up)|I tried periodically during the night to access. Then when using the shower no hot water at all barely warm. So in the morning started to look for other accommodations. |I was very disappointed we decided to check out. Since we had pre-paid advised no refund, not in their cancellation window. Also told I didn’t give them an opportunity to correct during regular business hours. The manager is off on Sun/mon we did not check out till 10:30a. checkout is 11. No one offered to correct or repair that morning prior to checking out. |Additionally unless you request close proximity to office, lots of steps to climb. There is a restaurant at the top of the steps called the Overlook very good food/beverages and view. |Prepaying for accommodations for a place you haven’t stayed previously and if you are not happy with goods or service provided is risky. |In all the years I have been staying, eating, traveling have hardly ever given a negative review. So we forfeited 4 nights booked elsewhere and were much happier.

Yelp
This is our second stay here. The first stay we were in the deluxe king cabin and it was pretty nice. We tried the restaurant as well, it was overpriced for the quality/portion size of food. It wasn't terrible food but definitely not worth the price. The view from the deluxe king room was great. Would be a great getaway for couples. The internet is hit or miss but is that so bad? I will say there was a mishap and they put us in the wrong room originally (double bed instead of the king deluxe) and then took an hour and a half to get us into the right room. The second stay is why I'm only giving it three stars. We did the double bed cabin. The tv was not working (honestly wasn't too upset about that). The room was small. The windows didn't have screens attached to them so you can't safely sleep with the windows open. But my biggest issue was there were no chain locks or deadbolts up towards the top of the door. So it was just the main lock, which always worries me about someone managing to break in but the main reason it bothers me is because having an autistic toddler if there's no chain locks or dead bolts, there's a good chance he will try to run out the door. It was also weird because our cabin was slanted. Check in is at 4pm, we arrived at 3pm and told we would get a call when our room was ready. She said no later than 4 but we didn't get the call or told about our room being ready until almost 5pm (4:54pm). And be prepared for no fridge or microwave. They do put coolers outside your door and you can grab ice from their free ice stations. There is a little keurig machine in the room as well. The employees are all really nice but it can be slow process I have noticed with the getting into your room.

Yelp
Cute little log cabins in a great location for all things Denali National Park. Our family of 4+ dog stayed a night to do some hiking for Memorial Day weekend and it was a great find. The staff at the restaurant is amazing. Good drink recommendations, worked diligently to get the heaters on on the patio and helped us with recommendations for breakfast the next day. The lodge staff was great too with extra towels and the rollaway bed we requested. The cabin was small but slept all of us comfortably. The shower water was pretty chilly but it became a contest of who could get clean without outbursts of shock. It was cloudy for our stay but the views were still great and if you get one of the five days a year when Denali isn't obscured I bet it's absolutely epic from here!

Yelp
Had the absolute most amazing time staying here for 4 days 3 nights in Sept 2020. We picked this place because we wanted the cabin experience without actually being in the wilderness, since I'm a city kid who will likely not survive the night. Upon arrival, Mike, the General Manager of the property, greeted us and we were checked in to our cabin, and we were blown away by how cozy and warm it was. We had a nice elevated view of the surrounding forest, and enjoyed the decor and amenities of our cabin. Best part is that this cabin is right by the front steps of Denali National Park, and we visited the park each day of our stay. We also took the complimentary shuttle from the lodge to the park in the morning, one time as early as 5:30am. We loved the on-site restaurant and had dinner there twice. The view and the food were both stellar. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. I absolutely adored our stay here and would like to return and stay again soon!

Edwin S.

Yelp
Had a really nice stay here! The cabins are cute, the location is fantastic, the restaurant is the best in town! It was a little tough to get up and down the hill with little kids. I did not expect it to be such a steep climb to the top cabins where we were put. Would definitely stay here again!

Launie B.

Yelp
Very expensive and rooms are dirty and horrible We had 2 king suites. 507 smelled horrible and the floor was nasty Cabin 407 floor was nasty and no heat. The restaurant was only open after 4 and you couldnt eat there for 3days because they were full Denali has very few open restaurants this year so eating is a serious problem. I would rethink staying in Denali this year. Wait tell next year when things open up.

Sarah K.

Yelp
5 stars, even though the communication was not great the few days leading up to our arrival. The cabin is clean, updated, and was ready for us. We had plenty of dry towels, a cozy bed, and a couple water bottles waiting for us. The room needs a kitchenette or at least a mini fridge, but I like that it's clean, even the carpet. The view is wonderful! The place itself is convenient to the park entrance, shopping, and food. The hot tub needs a cleaning, chlorine alone won't do it all, but it's nice that they have one!!! The front desk help are so friendly. They were available to make the pull out bed when I found that the bedding hadn't been placed in the room yet and they cleared out some trash for us that we didn't want lingering in our room from our long day of traveling. I recommend this place, just be sure you don't need to refrigerate a ythi

Yelp
We LOVED staying at the Crow's Nest and Salmon Bake Cabins. The staff was so kind and accommodating. The rooms were always clean in both cabins we stayed in. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff tolerated my 5 million questions and calling for a shuttle all of the time. We had a positive experience with all of the staff and it really made our stay at the Crow's Nest exceptional! I took off one star because of the shuttle service. When we ordered a shuttle from anywhere other than the main desk it was consistently 10-15 minutes late. Which became extremely frustrating. I always expected it to be on time because during booking my request I was always assured it would pick me up promptly. It lead to a lot of waiting around and even being forgotten twice (which they quickly fixed once brought to their attention). Other than that we loved our stay and would come back anytime!

Yelp
My husband and I booked three nights and have regretted it ever since we checked in. The hot tub was out of service and we weren't informed of that prior to arriving, which sucked because we were really looking forward to it. The manager Ashley was worthless. We were not impressed with the cabin, the floor was so slanted it felt very unsafe. We were so unhappy we checked out the next morning and after being told we would receive a credit, we have not received anything. They lie and steal your money. Horrible place. We paid $900 for one night. Thieves, thieves, thieves. Stay away from 49th State Brewing company, they own that too. HORRIBLE

alizarin c.

Yelp
Just checked into a tiny cabin for $300 and found out there is no on site laundry. Nearest laundromat is 10 miles down the road. Way overpriced and not worth it at all. If I'm going to pay $300/night, I'd expect something spacious, a mini fridge, a microwave, a sink that is not clogged, someplace to wash my clothes, decent internet and maybe a mint on my pillow. This place has none of the above. It was booked last minute because we couldn't find anything else; would not come here again.

Noah S.

Yelp
Uncomfortable beds, misinformation, and inconvenient location! The workers are nice, respectful, and try to make your stay great. Unfortunately, the experience at the lodge is not worth it. My husband and I spent a few nights in Denali as a part of our honeymoon adventure in May 2023. We booked the Crow's Nest, and they were late to pick us up from our train arrival. At the lodge, there is a nice greeting: bags go to your room, they give you chocolate. Our visit started okay but got worse from there. They offer no laundry facilities. The bed is extremely uncomfortable (We were sinking towards the middle while we slept and waking up with back pain!). The room has a heater, no A/C, and it is hard to cool down at night even with open windows. The people at the front desk are forgetful and take a long time to do things like bringing fresh towels. They also gave us incorrect shuttle information. Although it was the beginning of the season, and some of these things are excusable, we were so unsatisfied we booked the Denali Princess Lodge across the street. This lodge was cheaper and the experience there was invaluably better.

Fred G.

Yelp
The rooms are clean and the beds are soft and fluffy. Just what you need after a long day in the park. So that yields four stars. What makes this rate five stars is Breeana who is efficient, courteous and just downright pleasant. She seems to do it all from picking customers up from the park in a shuttle van to checking you in and showing you to your room. If I were to ever run a business that catered to the public I would feel privileged to have an individual such as Breeana to greet and deal with the clientele. THANK YOU BREEANA for making our stay at the Crows Nest so enjoyable.

Rajan B.

Yelp
Fantastic views, great cabin, very rustic. I would come here again. It also looks like they have a well trained cute dog here as well. They have hot chocolate too, so you can make yourself and mocha coffee in the coffee maker. I will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Nice little cabins in Denali..rooms are small and lack ventilation and one can feel clautrophobic..the room we gor was very clean however the sheets did not look freshly dry cleaned..the major reason was low rating are as follows - we arrived around 8pm for the long weekend and waited for 40 mins before we got any help at the check in counter..yes the receptionist was on a break (apparently attending to another customer) but there was nobody at the checkin counter for 40 mins to attend to us.. while we were waiting exhausted after a long flight and drive from anchorage to denali one of the hotel guests stopped by too and he has a complaint which scared us- apparently his room was not cleaned at all the sheets had stains the bathroom was stained too and he was beyond pissed.. however, after 40 mins when the staff arrived we were immediately given our keys and the staff was polite.. may not come back to stay here its a fake cabin feel dint enjoy as much as i wanted to.

Yelp
I see some negative reviews I don't know why. This is the best you can get for the price. I'm here with my 3 kids and my hubby my youngest one being 7 months old. Si far so good in terms of the staff service and room cleanliness. It exceeded my expectations

Ralph T.

Yelp
We stayed here a few days to visit Denali. It is in a great location and each room is its own log cabin. We stayed in a king which was large enough to easily walk around but a little tight around the bed due to the king size. Staff is summer help although friendly and efficient they don't have the same hospitality skills as a normal hotel. But that wasn't a major problem The water pressure sucks and it was difficult to control the water temperature. It took a long time to rinse off. One morning we didn't have any hot water. We called to the front desk and told them about it and the person who answered wanted to make sure we had set the faucet to the hot water side. Anyway they fixed the problem, it was probably a circuit breaker, but they didn't tell us they fixed it. We just figured it was fixed after we heard the hot water heater cycling through. It would have been nice for them to let us know it was back on. (as mentioned above a little slim in hospitality) Would we stay here again? Maybe?

Kelly C.

Yelp
There's no other place you'll stay in Denali with as great of customer service as this place gives. Nestled on the mountainside of Denali close to the Denali National Park, this place offers cozy little, rustic but warm, cabins with a spectacular view! But the customer service was the highlight of our stay. The manager, Scott, runs a great place and is very accommodating with whatever your needs are. They offer a free shuttle to and from the National Park and literally wherever else you want to go in the town of Denali. Always with a smile and friendly demeanor. It was quite a refreshing stay!

Derek C.

Yelp
This place is a shit hole with views. After waiting in an empty lobby for 10 minutes some unfriendly dude shows up and tell us our cabin is up several flights of stairs and we have to carry out luggage up... and the hot tub which is why we booked the room is broken... then we got up to our room and our keys don't work.... asshole at desk responds as if we don't understand how a card key works... exasperated he comes up with us to show us how they work... turns out keys don't work like we said... we have to wait for him to go make new keys that work.... screw this place. Awaiting refund request from manager.

Marianne F.

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful, and has a hot tub with great jets! We loved it. The staff was really friendly.

Zach C.

Yelp
Log Cabins, simple. If you're looking for luxury, this is not it. If you want to get away from the crowds and have a nice spot for drinking and relaxing on your deck, step on up. Price is like everything in Alaska, higher than you would expect, but the upside is that everything is very close and they have a shuttle to run guests around the area. The Overlook Bar is on the road between the levels of cabins, good food and great beer selection.

Yelp
I stayed a night in room 306 on 8/27/15 to 8/28/15 at Crow's Nest near Denali National Park. For a place that charges around $150 a room a night, there are several alarming issues. There are several issues that I think requires some attention from management. 1. Lack of hot water: I discovered this lack of hot water late at night when I tried to take a shower. This was very disappointing to me since I had just been camping for several days in the park in the cold and the rain and was really looking forward to a shower. I left the water on several minutes but it remained ice cold. I called the front desk and asked them to get maintenance to fix it early tomorrow morning. By morning the water is still cold and I never was able to to shower before leaving. I think everyone will agree that providing hot water is an essential part of any lodging service. And the lack of it disappointed me greatly. 2. Lack of wifi. My cell phone could not sign on to the wireless. 3. The heating element, with what appears to be open flame inside the device come dangerously close to the bathroom door when the door is in the open position. Since there is a spring on the door hinges, once it is open the door stays in contact with the heating element. After a hour in this position, I found that the bathroom door handle was uncomfortably hot. There is already dark scorch marks on the door from the heat. I believe this is a potential fire hazard. I discussed my concerns to the front desk the next morning and they gave me the email address of their general manager Della. I emailed her later and never got any answers. On the plus side the staff were very friendly, which was perhaps the saving grace of the experience. The attached restaurant was decent, albeit also very expensive. Nonetheless the lack of hot water, wireless, and dangerous fire hazard made my stay a very uncomfortable one. Again, for one overnight stay that cost me $150, I expected at least hot water.

Wendy L.

Yelp
Loved the cabin, clean bright, and the bed was amazing.... Super confortable !!! Great water pressure !! Staff was wonderful...helpful, cheerful, and very accomadating ... Thank you Alex ..you made out stay so enjoyable!!

Yelp
3.5 stars. Denali Crow's Nest Log Cabins is not cheap. A room (queen bed, small attached private bathroom, no blackout curtains) at the end of June cost us about $250/night. But given our location, the cost was not a huge surprise to us. The room was clean, the bed fairly comfortable, and they had a Keurig in room (heaven sent when I was running on only a few hours of sleep). Prior to our arrival, the manager was super responsive over the phone, and extremely accommodating. Our packed itinerary had J & I arriving at DCN around 2:30AM on a Sunday night/Monday waaay early in the morning. The front desk at DCN is staffed 24/7, so someone was on hand to help us figure out our options (the manager and I had previously discussed the possibility of early check-in if a room was available; when we arrived, there was one, but now an associated $99 was tacked on-- we were fine with that if we had enough time to nap/freshen up in the room). It took the girl manning the desk a while to figure everything out (while I waited rather impatiently... it WAS 3AM and we were scheduled to take the 5:15AM Denali NP shuttle bus to Wonder Lake), but we managed to make it into the room (keep in mind that you will have to truck your luggage up several flights of stairs), where J immediately fell asleep while I checked everything out. OVERALL: Completely satisfactory for our short stay in the area. Its pricey, but we enjoyed our time in the cabin.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights after reading their glowing website and some reviews on trip advisor. Customer service is truly horrible and the website misrepresented their amenities. Be mindful that if there's rain (that's pretty much guaranteed here) the paths to the rooms are all outdoors, slick and muddy. The wooden steps in some areas are in need of repair and can be steep. Beds are very uncomfortable as in sleeping in an economy cabin seat on a plane would leave your back in a happier state. We stayed on the 4th level and views are of trees and the parking lot. There is also no hot tub or sauna for guests as indicated online. The only positive is their relatively close location to the park and town but that's true for most lodging here. Regardless of what their website says and the people tell you before you get here, they are not and will not try to make your stay more comfortable by honoring any requests. We ended up speaking to a manager (offsite?!), Bella, who literally hung up on me as I was explaining what I was told regarding the hotel shuttle when I made the reservation. To clarify for my fellow yelpers, the only places their shuttle takes you is to their sister properties and a couple restaurants they also own. Though we were not staying at the Princess Lodge, they were kind enough to privately shuttle us for free to allow us to make our tour after hearing how bad our experience was at the crow's nest! Bottom line: forego trying to support a local business by choosing this hotel. They do native Alaskans a disservice by claiming local hospitality. Stay at the Princess across the street and to support locals, buy Alaskan goods from the natives and take the Denali Backcountry tour!

C C.

Yelp
If you want to stay at place with a cold shower, and in room with coffee maker that doesn't work and a staff that doesn't care then this is the place for you!

Sara G.

Yelp
Pros: very close to denali national park; reasonably comfortable rooms; rustic feel. Cons: shoddy housekeeping; construction of new cabins ruins any chance of peace and quiet; the views include other hotels, a road, and parking lots

Christopher M.

Yelp
Good selection of beer. Food was solid. I had the halibut sandwich and friends had cheeseburgers that were decent. We liked the food at prospectors pizza better, but this was a good casual environment as well.

K B.

Yelp
Decent place to stay, but be warned the beds have feather top matresses that can bunch up. At first I thought it was a lumpy mattress until I spoke with the manager who ended up taking it off the bed. Mattress is fine without it. Also, as with many of the places in AK, the staff is often speaks ESL, so if you are trying to get a message to management you would be better off writing it down for them rather than trying to pass it on verbally.

Trevor O.

Yelp
Well, if you're looking for any sort of Customer Service, amenities, or a level floor, this is not the place to go. I felt as if my bed was going to roll out the front door at a moments notice. The furnace either had a blown out pilot light, was off, or was set to nuclear furnace mode. Nothing in the middle. There are no refrigerators, and you are not allowed to use stoves (electric or gas) or even a rice cooker. I had a 'do not disturb' sign up during my 2 week stay, and the hotel staff CONSISTENTLY came into my room and ignored the sign. When they did, they made the bed but still didn't bother taking any trash out. But they will gladly vacuum your headphones right up! Oh, the rooms are TINY too, the bathrooms are disgusting, and due to the unlevel floor the water pools up and becomes quite nasty in the shower. I decided to break the no stove rule, and was 'caught' during one of their 'break-ins.' I was quickly reprimanded and told to put the stove away or face eviction. By the way they said I could try the Salmon Bake, or Prospectors, both owned by the same people, and ridiculously over-priced tourist traps with crappy food. That's beside the point though. I put away my stove, yet two days later they 'found' the stove again and accused me of using it still, even though I wasn't. They tried to evict me, but luckily I was able to talk them into allowing me to stay my last night. In my opinion, try to stay away from all the businesses these people own! It's hard, as they kind of have a Monopoly, but the businesses are the Salmon Bake, Prospectors, Sled Dog, 49th State Brewing, Crow's Nest, and probably others I don't even know about.

Marie D.

Yelp
Perfect little log cabins and a great Alaskan experience. We stayed in a cabin with a the most comfortable queen bed ever. Pillow top mattress and soft comforter. There was a kurig coffee maker, two bottles of water and a flat screen tv. We stayed on level four and the view was perfect. We stayed 2 nights, but looking back we should have stayed 3 nights in Denali to take advantage of all the activities.

Bailey B.

Yelp
We had an amazing stay at the Crow's Nest Cabins. The room was on the top level, so the views were phenomenal (but really, they'd be good anywhere on the property). Though the thing I told my coworkers after returning from vacation was how comfy the beds were! I legitimately didn't want to get out of bed because they were so luxurious. Best sleep I've had while traveling. The front desk staff was very attentive and helped suggest trails to hike and set up a rafting trip for us. It was also within walking distance of numerous restaurants, bars, and stores. I would suggest these cabins to everybody! Will definitely be back!

Bob W.

Yelp
It is not cheap, but nothing is in the area is. It was comfortable, clean, and shower and heat worked fine. The staff was exceptional, starting at front desk every morning. They answered many questions and made great recommendations.I would definitely stay there again.

Sharon B.

Yelp
Nothing seems to be right about this place! The third night we were there the hot tub didn't work filthy and then we told the front deck and the just laughed! Ha ha not funny! Rooms small and shower was small!

Barb N.

Yelp
BEWARE THE CANCELLATION POLICY!! I suffered an injury (for which I had medical documentation) that restricted my mobility shortly before my scheduled visit and had to cancel. Although I provided several days' notice, under the Crow's Nest policy, if you provide less than 30 days' notice (!), refund is subject to re-rental of the cabin. After my visit would have ended, I called repeatedly to determine whether I would receive any refund. Despite being told again and again that the manager Della would call or email me, I never heard back. They apparently just kept my entire payment. The fact that they allegedly weren't full on any of the four nights I'd booked is a pretty good indication that the mere existence of my reservation did not cost them anything--instead, they made nearly $900 without providing any services, lodging, or even the courtesy of a return phone call. I admit the cancellation policy was made clear at booking, but I just have to question the ethics and business sense of an establishment that would happily reap that much money without providing anything in return. I still plan to visit Denali, but I most definitely will not be staying at the Crow's Nest. The whole thing just left a very bad taste in my mo

Bonnie C.

Yelp
We stayed one night. It was hard to find as we kept driving past road to the property. They have a small sign at the road and it's a short drive up hill above the stores and restaurants. They even have a steep walking path down to the shops and restaurants. The check in was friendly and they have a guy with a golf cart to help you with luggage. There is a small path to the cabins and I had a 50 pound suitcase so the guy carried it up to the cabin for me. Our cabin was small and rustic but it has a charming feel to it. The beds are beautiful with leather headboards and the comforter was full and fluffy. The pillows were soft and you can tell the linens are higher quality than most places. There was a small table with a coffee maker and they give you two small water bottles complimentary. They have small bathrooms in the cabins too. I loved our stay wish it could have been longer. The restaurant and bar on the property was closed but it will be opening soon.

Yelp
Cabins were presented as totally refurbished when I made my reservations by phone. When I arrived, the carpet in my cabin was threadbare, the linoleum in the bathroom was stained and old, the tub had mold around the base, and the bathroom door could barely be closed because of settling of the cabin. That night, we had a trickle for a shower and the next morning, the toilet wouldn't flush. We asked to be let out of the final two days of our reservation but were told that was impossible because of "policy". We settled for another cabin the next night, and while an improvement, we now had only cold water and, again, a toilet that would not flush. We again asked for a refund and were told no, but that we could speak to the owner who was on site. Instead, the manager returned with the owner's business card and informed us that he would only communicate with us via email! After an additional hour of strained negotiation and a litany of excuses, the manager finally agreed to refund the final night and offered a discount on the nights spent. If you're going to present yourself as "the best lodging in Denali National Park", they need to do a damn better job.

Yelp
I had stayed here many years ago, and was excited to go back. I was not impressed with the service that I received during my stay. Before arriving, I had emailed a question to them, based on an email address provided by the Cabins. It was never answered, which is incredibly frustrating. On our second night, we returned to the cabin to no towels, no toilet paper, had not been vacuumed, etc. For over $200/night, I expect the basics to be handled. When I asked to speak to a manager, the person acted as though he couldn't understand English and I was not able to. The following morning I left a message with the front desk clerk about how disappointed I was in the care at the cabins, and he took my email address down and promised that management would contact me. Well, no shock to me, but they haven't. So while the cabin was fine, for the cost, I expect the basics to be cared for and management to follow up when there are problems, which just wasn't done. If you want to have to make many trips to the office to get things right, this place is fine. If you want to be able to come home to a clean room after a long day of hiking, probably not the place for you. Very disappointed in the new managements "style" of managing.
