This was a very nice room with a beautiful view. That said the resort is a glorified campground. The food is provided by awful food trucks. 30 minutes free wifi for entire stay. 7 miles from Denali. Resort provided shuttle to Denali for $60 rt never mentioning a free shuttle across the street. Staff had very limited English and very little knowledge of the park. Liquor store had about 12 bottles of choices. Market was bare. Miscommunication caused me to miss my Denali tour.

Rustic Charm with Some Drawbacks If you're looking for a no-frills, rustic experience, this resort certainly delivers on that front. The setting is charmingly basic, perfect for those who appreciate a more rugged, back-to-nature vibe. However, be prepared for a few quirks. For example, there’s a noticeable smell from the sewage system, likely due to the use of warm water for flushing, which I assume is to prevent the pipes from freezing in colder weather. One significant downside is the lack of internet access. There’s essentially no connection, and even if you manage to find a signal, it’s incredibly spotty. On the bright side, this forced us to disconnect and truly appreciate the peaceful surroundings. We ended up spending a lot of time at the resort across the street, which provides free transportation to the park. Unfortunately, we couldn’t always coordinate our schedules with theirs and had to rely on Grizzly's shuttle service, which was pricier than we expected. While I understand that transportation options are limited in the area, $65 for a 3-5 mile trip to the national park feels excessive. I know it's the "common" fee around here but tourism gouging is silly when your competitors next door are offering a free schedule and you aren't letting guests know this. Overall, while the resort has its charm, there are some issues that travelers should be aware of before booking. They are cheaper and more amenities elsewhere but if you are looking for that rustic, cabin feel you'll do just fine.

this restaurant was hard to get in at 5 o'clock tonight because they were short on servers so they couldn't fill all the tables but when we did get seated, we had two delicious grizzly burgers, double burgers and we had fries and side ordered onion rings. | all was very good and the prices are about $40 out the door for two dinners. Service was very good. The room has a beautiful view. It can be highly recommended.

Grizzly Bear Resort (2 Stars, 3 Stars if You Have a Car) This might be one of the few non-five-star reviews I’ve written, but had I known a few things beforehand, I might have chosen a different location. TL;DR: If you’re driving, this place works well; if you’re arriving by train, you might want to consider a different hotel. The internet is unreliable, but if you don't need it, you'll be fine. Don’t expect any room cleaning service—not even basic tasks like trash removal, fresh towels, or bed-making during your entire stay. If you're here for just a day or two, that’s manageable, but be aware they have communication issues, particularly regarding transportation. The trouble started the moment I booked, which should have been a red flag. I used Expedia, and everything seemed straightforward; the reviews were decent, and the price was better than most. They were upfront about dining options not being on-site but mentioned food trucks and a restaurant across the street. However, the day I booked, they called to inform me they didn’t accept American Express, which is tied to my Expedia account. After some back-and-forth, they initially said my Visa and Mastercard didn’t work. I had to insist the issue was on their end before they finally got the payment to go through on my Mastercard. I also inquired about transportation from the train station to the resort, and they assured me they had a shuttle. When we arrived at Denali Depot, we were told it would take over 30 minutes for our luggage to arrive. I called the resort to find out where to meet the shuttle driver and informed them of the delay. They then told me we weren’t on the list but would notify the driver and give him our phone number. When we made it to the van area, our driver was nowhere to be found. I called the resort again, and they said they’d try to reach him. After waiting another 30 minutes, I called once more and asked for a callback when they contacted him—no callback ever came. When we checked in, we were charged $70 for a round-trip, 15-minute shuttle ride, even though other hotels offered this service for free. At check-in, they informed us about the lack of housekeeping services during our stay. The room itself was basic—no desk, refrigerator, or closet—but the beds were comfortable, and the view was stunning. We even got to see the Northern Lights from our balcony on the second night. The overall layout is pleasant, like cabins in the woods, but the uphill trek became tiresome. The internet service was poor and expensive. I needed to be online for work meetings and emails, which cost $35 for 48 hours, still only had two bars and frequently dropped. I couldn’t manage any Teams meetings. However, the hotel across the highway (accessible via a safe walkway under the bridge) had excellent free internet, even for non-residents. The breakfast food truck we tried twice charged $15 each for a Costco-style, microwaved egg, cheese, and sausage croissant, a Sunny D, and a yogurt. While pricey, it was slightly cheaper than the typical $20. The breakfast buffet across the highway was good but cost $24 per person before the tip. We had dinner across the street—the ribeye steak was excellent, as was the cheeseburger. If you stay here, don’t miss their dinner On our departure day, the transportation issues continued. We needed to be at the train station by 11:30 am, and I confirmed with the resort multiple times that the shuttle would pick us up at 11:00 am. When the time came and went, I called at 11:05, 11:15, and finally insisted I wouldn’t hang up until they directly contacted the driver. They eventually assured me the manager had spoken with him. The driver arrived with a van full of luggage and people, but we managed to squeeze in after some rearranging. The driver apologized, and despite the hiccup, we made it to the train with our luggage intact. The young man driving did his best, but better communication—perhaps radios—would greatly improve the experience.

Very clean and the staff go out of your way to make your stay a pleasant one. ||They will attend to your requests in a timely manner and they are the only establishment in Denali park area who can help you warm your food (if you have diet restrictions and you carry your own food that needs to be heated). I would consider staying with "Denali Grizzly Bear Resort" first over other resorts in Denali Park area. This feedback is coming from someone who also stayed at "McKinley Chalet Resort". ||If you are driving your car, the parking spaces are very close to your rooms.

Google
Stayed at the cheechako cabin and was very pleased with the room, staff, shuttle service, riverside location with small hike trail, food trucks, stores, and all amenities. We did the tundra wilderness bus tour and the pickup location was right across the street. Very happy with our stay at Grizzly Bear Resort 👍

Google
This was our most expensive stay during our whole trip in Alaska but our least favorite. The location was great as it was close to Denali national park. There was also nice trails nearby and we even got to see a moose on one of the trails. The rooms were clean but no fridge or microwave. There was a microwave in the store that we could use but not until 9 am. Also, wifi was only included for the first 30 minutes and then you would have to pay for longer. Also the shower would get cold pretty quickly.

Google
It is abundantly clear that this place does NOT care about the guest experience. Oddly missing typical hotel amenities that even the least expensive hotels have these days (no in-room phone, no fridge, no microwave, no AC or ceiling fans, no free wifi). Keep in mind that they DO NOT have housekeeping services during your stay and if you need anything you must walk or drive to a separate office building to request anything. The TV service was very limited and worked about 50% of the time. I don’t know how this dump is still in business but their online photos make it look much nicer than it actually is. Just remember there are virtually NO amenities so I would choose absolutely anywhere else.

Yelp
We stayed in the eagle cabin at the adorable Alaskan rustic Grizzly Bear in Denali! Being from Alaska, we are always looking for an adventure and this place didn't disappoint! Friendly staff, private cabin and that real Alaskan feel! We loved being right by the river super close to the park. If you are looking for city life, this isn't the place for you. If you are looking for the real Alaskan experience, THIS IS IT! Alaskan and family owned , this is the place I will be recommending to my friends and family. Such history here and it was a breath of fresh air to meet such a hard working family who put their heart and soul into this property! Thanks guys!!

Janelle ..

Yelp
Very disappointing they don't try to accommodate or help guests out given the fire and closure of the national park. We were hoping for 1 night off of our 3 day reservation because park was closed so we could leave early and they didn't do anything to help us. They don't care about people, just profit. I would not recommend. I asked if they could at least extend wireless internet beyond the 30 minutes free so that we could at least search for additional things to do with the park closed, they refused since "they don't own the internet". Scott the manager could possibly be one of the worst people for customer service I've ever experienced. Besides the terrible service, the rooms are less than impressive. The heater kicks on very slowly, they don't provide enough towels as guests and there's no elastic on the bed sheet so it keeps rolling up leaving you on a dingy, gross, lumpy mattress. Terrible service and bad rooms. Avoid at all costs!!

Yelp
The old saying "you get what you pay for" definitely applies to the Denali Grizzly Bear Resort. Our cabin was fine for three nights and four days. The communal showers weren't bad. The cabins lack outlets, but I brought a power strip so we were fine. If you rent a car from the Denali Keys, you get a cooler that we used to keep food cool in the cabin. My big complaint is that most of the washing machines were broken. Also, the store doesn't open until 9 or 10 am which is annoying if you want to buy coffee before a hike. The coffee there will tastes shoe leather so you're better off getting it elsewhere!

Yelp
This hotel is considered "rustic," but rustic was exactly what we were looking for during our visit to Denali State Park. It is designed like a log cabin with lots of wood, bear & animal decor, plaid bed covers, etc. it's also cozy, has all the comforts of a mid-range hotel, and it's super clean. There were 2 comfy double beds, plenty of shower amenities, and a flat screen t.v.. Plus there was an amazing view of the stream and wooded area from our balcony which also had 2 chairs so we could just sit, relax, take in the mountain air, and relax. There was a cute gift shop in the front and a convenient little shuttle that took you to town where there is an abundance of cute gift shops and restaurants, ($5 for a day's pass.). There are also a few food trucks parked permanently our front that serve breakfast, lunch, & dinner if you want to stay close by and eat. We really liked this hotel; however it is really close to the railroad & we were woken up by some super loud trains whistles at around 1:00 and 3:00 a.m. (I think all the other local hotels are affected too, so the Grizzly Bear is a very nice option to spend a few nights in Denali.)

Yelp
We absolutely adored our stay here. I also love supporting small, family owned businesses; especially ones that have been around for decades and are a staple of the area. The owner was very nice and every staff member I met was friendly and helpful. Let me preface this by letting others that don't live in Alaska know, that you probably won't have great cell or internet service here *or anywhere around Denali* unless you have AT&T as a cell provider. They are the best for service for the entire state. I had two bars of cell service, both in the wooded cabin and the hotel. Did not even need wifi. We first stayed in the Spruce cabin. It was perfect for what it is- a cabin in the woods. Some of y'all on here expect a 5 star hotel at 2 star price, lol. It's a cabin. In the woods. In remote Alaska. Lol. That said, as much as we liked the privacy of the cabin, the cable tv wasn't working. It was unable to be fixed during our stay so we were offered a room in the hotel. We moved rooms simply because we have a toddler that likes tv to wind down at the end of the day. The cable issue was out of their hands, it wasn't a big deal to change rooms. We ended up in the D building on the second floor. We actually ended up preferring this view better. The hotel was noticeably newer and more up to date. It was clean, had plenty of towels, and comfortable beds. There was no microwave or mini fridge but it was fine with us as we were using a cooler for our stuff anyways (portable to take in the car for when we visited the park). The store by the office has a microwave you can use. The room has great black out curtains which is a must in Alaska in the summer (doesn't get dark til midnight some days and the sun rises early). There is a train that goes by but I really didn't notice it unless I saw it. It didn't wake me up. The park entrance and "town" is maybe 10 minutes away, if that, which I actually liked because it wasn't so loud and busy. We had a rental car so it wasn't a big deal for us. We kept non-perishable snacks and things that could go in a cooler/didn't need to be heated up for food but mostly we ate out in town for our meals. There is one place to eat within walking distance from this hotel- the hotel across the street, but we didn't go there. There's a grocery store in Healy which is about 25 minutes or so from here that had items we needed like water and diapers. Also, this place is walking distance to the Triple Lakes Trailhead. We ended up enjoying our stay so much that we stayed another night. I highly recommend the hotel rooms on the River. The view from the room is breathtaking and the sound of the river was so peaceful and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again. We hope to visit again soon whether in the hotel or camping trailer. (They have hook ups, a laundry area, and the store has ice and firewood). [For the people complaining about the store prices, as an Alaskan, I can tell you that everything costs more up here, especially in the more remote areas like this.]

Yelp
I stayed at the Denali Grizzly Bear for two nights. It's not fancy by any means, but it gets the job done in a very remote area and is a four-star motel experience. Here are some basics that I wondered about before arriving that hopefully clarify things for you! Location: This is about six miles south of the park entrance - a very easy trip if you have a car. It took us less than 10 minutes to get to and from the Park Visitors Center/Bus Depot (and we visited in peak season - mid-July). The area around the Grizzly Bear is pretty quiet (only one other resort is directly across the street). Food/ Shops: Plenty of food and touristy shops are north of the park - about a 15 minute drive from Grizzly Bear. There is a small gift shop on location and a few food trucks set up in the parking lot. We got coffee and bagged lunches from the Mariachi Moose truck- we ordered the night before and they were ready for us at 6:30 the next morning before our long day trip into the park. Lodging: Grizzly Bear appears to have options for any type of traveler/group size. There is plenty of RV/ trailer parking, private cabins and more motel style rooms, which is what we stayed in. The "Cedar Lodge" room was a decent size with private patios overlooking the Nenana River. The bedspreads looked a little older/not super clean but the sheets themselves were clean so removing the comforter made this room perfectly good! Nice sized shower with great water pressure (impressive out this far!) and shampoo, conditioner, soap were provided. We noticed the room was pretty dark- minimal and very dim lighting- but that wasn't a huge issue with the long hours of daylight! There also is not a mini fridge (makes those bagged lunches for the park more essential!) Price vs Quality: Our stay was booked through All Alaska Tours (highly recommend the Alaska On A Dime trip if you are overwhelmed) so I'm not sure of the pricing. This is a great option for anyone who can't afford to stay in the park/ the more lavish hotels a bit closer to the action. A final heads up: Reception was spotty - no free WiFi was provided and between a Verizon & AT&T plan for my fiancé and I, we had some service here and there but not consistently. Yelp reviews will have to wait until you return from the Great One!

Gordon V.

Yelp
We stayed in one of the new buildings along the river. The balcony overlooking the river was great. Room & bathroom were nice & spacious. Main issue is this and the lodge across the highway are several miles from the park entrance area and restaurants. They told us to eat at the lodge's restaurant, which looked fancy but was expensive and not very good. I was under the impression there was a shuttle bus, but not for Grizzly guests. So while it's a nice and expansive facility, I wouldn't recommend Grizzly unless you have your own car. They do have a small store with some snacks. It's also worth knowing about the Triple Lakes Trail trailhead just across the bridge from Grizzly. We made it as far as the third lake, it's tough going at first but pretty good after that.

Art C.

Yelp
Rooms were clean and had a nice view of the river. However be very aware that if you sign up for the internet (even for the free half hour) your email address will be sold to every spam provider known to man.

Yelp
Since I can't sleep, I'll write a review. The good: the cabins are cute, staff generally friendly, rooms were clean, very accommodating to a last minute change of dates with no added charges. Food trucks on site are very good (May 2018 has Mexican and Thai. Mexican serves breakfast through dinner). The bad: noise, noise, noise! The mountain view cabins face the highway. The noise from cars all night is not what you want when you book a cabin in Alaska! Worse, the folks staying in trailers near the Mexican food truck partied all night with the radio blasting until 2am and loud talking until after 4am. I addressed this with the front desk - asking for ear plugs - and they responded "so sorry that was a one time event, it will be quiet tonight." Well, it's nearly 11pm and the radio is on, adults and kids talking very loud (over the radio) - I guess it drowns out the car noise? I was looking for a peaceful relaxing stay in Denali. I got two nearly sleepless nights. As the front desk closed at 9pm, there is nobody to contact about the noise and they didn't seem to care when I addressed it in the morning. If you purchase from their store, check expiration dates. I found food that expired 9 months ago. Paid wifi is ridiculous in 2018 especially at $20 per day. Since cell service was lacking, I paid for it anyway. Jokes on you, using it to post this review! If you're going to run a resort just feet from the highway, you need to build with better sound proofing. Also, don't let the trailer trash party all night. A mini fridge with microwave would be a nice touch - especially since they sell frozen foods in their store! Updated TVs with cable would be nice too - the old school CRTs with blurry antenna channels just collect dust. On the plus side, leaving the TV on helps drown out the noise from the trailer party. To reiterate, the staff have generally been great, good food from the food trucks, and really appreciate the last minute change request. The noise is the killer - it ruins it all. I cannot recommend anyone stay here unless they open the office 24/7 and enforce a reasonable quiet hours (10pm-6am as an example). I should never have to listen to other guests for extended periods of time, even outside of quiet hours. I booked a cabin in Alaska, not a room in a frat party downtown. I would have left early but could not find any rooms nearby and I was too exhausted to travel to Talkeetna at 11pm where I found rooms.

Caylin B.

Yelp
We stayed here in August while we visited Denali and we had a nice stay. When we arrived at around 9:45 PM, the office was closed and the "Open" sign was turned off and we panicked. Expedia had said check-in was until 10PM, but that was incorrect. The reception girl said people come late all the time because the information on the internet is wrong. Luckily there were still people in the office and we were able to get in our room. The room was spacious and the baseboard heater worked well. Our room had a nice balcony view of the river. There is no air conditioning, but we did not need it because it was in the 30s and 40s at night. We just opened the balcony door as it was screened. We ended up with an upstairs room that was less than ideal because we had to carry 19 days worth of luggage upstairs. There is no elevator, welcome to Alaska, lol. Parking could have been marked better and I wish there had been more parking spaces. We ended up having to park pretty far from our room in the dark one night. Combine that with the creepy skeleton in the outhouse (I'm not kidding) near the parking area in the middle of bear country and you wouldn't want to walk out there alone at night, either. The cleaning staff forgot to restock our room one day and we called the reception desk to have it fixed and they refilled it quickly and they were apologetic. We used the laundry facilities, it was more expensive than anywhere else I have stayed, but it did the job. The location was good if you are visiting Denali.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Funky alaskan place. Two food trucks. Standard parking lot for RV's. Nice clean bathrooms. Gift store has plenty of Catchki made in China if you are into that type of thing. Works if you need a place to stay for a night and want to have electrical. They cover the basics well. There is an amazing river at the back of the place that is gorgeous - could do a bit more to leverage the natural beauty of their property but they seem focused on turnover of the Denali National Park visitors. For what it is, they are doing a fantastic job.

Ken S.

Yelp
I sit here on the back balcony of our room barely able to access the inter required to complain. We paid top dollar for a decent room with a nice view. But if your looking for compassion and access to the internet you'll need to search elsewhere. I decided to pay the ransom for internet only to have intermittent access and the help at the store/office was underwhelming. If you can find another place to stay, the view does not make up for the short comings. Denali is amazing.

Malcolm E.

Yelp
I didn't care for my stay here. They were the only hotel available and we got their last room. So there were slim pickings in the first place. They charged me and my wife $500 for a two night stay and the room was ridiculous. There was no refrigerator, no microwave, and the TV seemed to be older than me. The room's lighting was not very good either. The staff was par. I don't have much to say about them. Anyway, I do not recommend this hotel

Pam K.

Yelp
Great place for rv's with hook-ups, close together but convenient to Denali National Park. Inexpensive showers (cheapest we have seen in this area). The laundry on the other hand was the most expensive I have seen at $3.50 a load and the reason for 4 stars. They have food trucks on the property we tried the Thai food truck and it was outstanding (a must try), the Mexican food from what I have seen also gets rave reviews I just didn't have the opportunity to try it this trip. They have a small store and liquor store. There are also cabins and hotel rooms (a lot of cruise ship buses coming in). I would definitely stay here again, we were in space 33 which is sheltered by a huge tree and bushy space (the most private rv spot on our block, they had some rv spaces nestled in by the cabins as well).

Nikhil K.

Yelp
Thanks to this place !! It filled in for my Thai craving. Can't expect anything more than this place around Denali ! The service was quick. Thai tea was good. Have a small pavilion to sit and hangout.

David J.

Yelp
Wife said I hit a home run with this one. Great staff, and awesome value for the price. We stayed in a hotel room but they also have camping and cabins. Some cabins are a few feet from the river! Our room had a river view nestled in the trees. There were moose roaming the property and we loved it. Plenty of parking and very laid back. Room was very clean and beautiful. We were there in mid july and there were food trucks on property. The mariachi moose was great. Only a few mikes to the park entrance. Highly recommend this one.

Xiaoliu W.

Yelp
Our room comes with a full clean bathroom and a balcony with nice view to the river. That means that we can take shower inside our room. The room has what u need to rest after a long day in the Denali national park. They also have food trucks on site. The price is not cheap but since it's in a remote tourist spot, it's understandable. The internet is slow., but AT&T has decent 4G signal there. Overall I recommended this place.

Jeff G.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay. We had a room that backed up to the river. The view was awesome and the sound of the river was so peaceful. A fridge would have been nice and the wifi option was a drag but we surprisingly had good cell and LTE service and so did not miss out. There is access to the three lake trail just across the river that was perfect for a half day to get to the third lake. There were also two food trucks in the parking lot that were just hidden gems. Who expects really good Thai and Mexican food in the middle of nowhere? Honestly, we ate every meal here and enjoyed every bite. I wish I could review them as well.

Eric H.

Yelp
We stayed here in July 2021after camping in Denali Park. What a treat this place is! The rooms are big, clean, and have all the amenities you would expect. The price was very reasonable, and our balcony faced the river which provided a beautiful, soft white noise if we left the slider open. But the best part is the owners: Crissy and Amy and their families. They are at the resort, working to make sure everyone is taken care to the best. We truly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning some day.

Brian A.

Yelp
Tried the bacon cheeseburger today and it was large and juicy. I would have preferred a little more seasoning in the meat but overall a good burger. Fries were $5 an order. For that price I was expecting hand cut fries or seasoned fries. Nope, just small frozen crinkle cut fries. Definitely wouldn't order those again.

Priyankareddy G.

Yelp
Initially when we are booking this resort we are not so comfortable, since we didnt find any places close by we just booked it. Definitely not a bad choice. Cottage is so neat and clean. Restrooms too. They have coin showers and they provide towels ,shampoo and soap bar . But i recommend to get up early and use the showers before everyone uses them

Crystal J.

Yelp
This is an awesome hotel, I would even say the second best in all of Alaska. The room was well set up and very comfy. And I would know: I stayed in a room all day because I was sick. And I loved it. The beds were very nice, with fuzzy covers and a comforter. It had a quick, easy-to-use coffee maker (I even was able to use it to make tea) and a balcony with a beautiful view of the river. This place really amazed me with how comfortable it was. I would highly recommend this for anyone who's going through Denali.

Jean P.

Yelp
Lousy, if any WIFI, no micowave or refrigerator in room, no restaurant on site, long walk over very hilly terrain which as a 75 year old with bad knees and problems walking and no shuttles provided made for a rough time for me. We were with a tour group and on our last day we basically had to eat the snacks we had brought for traveling days. Ixnay on The Grizzly Bear Cabins.

Mrs. G.

Yelp
The rooms are really nice, with a pretty deck attached to each one, the place is clean too. Downsides were, hard beds, no wifi (but hey, it's Denali not a huge deal), and the office was not available in the morning to unclog our toilet :( Overall a good place, very convenient, and the room was really nice!

Dave L.

Yelp
I'm writing specifically about the RV park. And being nice with 2 stars. The spots were TINY!!! The length wasn't awful, but the width was about 1/2 what I'd expect. We were in a rented coach with only 1 slide. Had we been in our coach we wouldn't have fit in the spot. As it was, with the slide out we made the neighbors table nearly useless. And our fire pit / table on the other side was useless. It would be fair to say it's a parking spot vs. an RV site. They said full hook-ups and talked about hooking up cable. There was no cable. It was electric & water only with an awkwardly placed dump station. Finally the proximity to the highway meant that we could hear the semi engine brakes as they came down the hill. The positives: it was easy in & out, the price wasn't bad and the site was relatively level.

Yelp
Worst stay in a hotel EVER! They put us in a mountain view cabin which was a view of the parks hwy with accompanying truck noise...ALL NIGHT LONG. Terrible. And the shower was gross to boot. For $250 a night!!!

Ann S.

Yelp
Stayed here on both visits to Denali. Very affordable cabin, especially considering the location so close to the National Park. The cabin was clean, sheets were clean, picnic table and gounds were inviting for families. Spent $1.00 on a warm shower (4minutes), but well worth it. Laundry facilities were nice. Staff booked our raft ride for no extra charge. Stayed in tent on return from Fairbanks. I did think that $25.00 was alot for a tent campsite, but much cheaper than a hotel and when in a pinch... I would stay here again!

Mason I.

Yelp
We spent 3 nights in their Cedar Lodge. Plus side- new, clean bathroom, and nice view of the Nenana river. Negatives- no fridge or kitchen, no free wifi or 3G service, paper thin walls, and expensive (although most of Denali is). Unfortunately, Denali, one of the most rugged places on earth, is taken over by the cruise ship industry, so unless you are camping in the park I recommend going elsewhere.

Yelp
I wouldn't recommend staying in tent cabins up here. If you are getting a tent cabin, ask specifically if the tent cabin is easily accessible by car. There are gives and takes to every place, so I try to keep my review balanced. Good things: proximity to denali national park, affordable at just $33 per night, clean and comfortable, restrooms are clean and showers are also clean and easy to use. Bear safety. Right next to Denali Park village, so all your tour busses from denali will pick up and drop off from there. Areas of improvement: Clear communication with guests on the difficulty of getting up and back to the cabins, i.e. w.r.t proximity of restrooms. Wifi is not free. Showers cost 75 cents for every 2 min. Laundry costs $7 for wash + dry Rude staff: I heard this statement repeatedly " For tent cabin guests that pay only $33 per night, we don't provide that service". My questions were simple - do you provide a kitchen , do you provide bear safe containers? The answer could have been much nicer - they provide campfire pits for people to cook camping style. They also don't need to provide bear safe containers because bears don't frequent this part of the park. However, their answers coupled with the fact that I had to wear hiking boots to hike up and down the hill from my cabin to shower, pee or brush my teeth, overall came to be an uncomfortable experience for me. Take away: If you are renting cabins, ensure you are not in the same situation as me. Ask about ease of walking to the tent cabins from other facilities in the complex.

Yelp
Good room and a great location. It can get crowded with campers but it's a very nice place to stay and enjoy Denali.

Yelp
Wow! What an awesome resort the Reisland family have built. I have been visiting this place for 40 years, when all they offered were a couple of very rustic cabins, campsites and a simple shower house. Now, many cabins and a 73 room hotel with all the amenities. A travel desk to schedule your Denali excursions and a shuttle from the resort to Denali Natl Park. The Reisland family work ethic is readily adopted by their very capable and dedicated staff. Anyone concerned about the cost of accommodations need to realize the very high cost of business operations in such a remote part of the world.

Yelp
We just stayed one night as we were on our way into the Park. It was much less expensive than anywhere else of its kind. We arrived late so our keys and a note on the office door. As it was midnight it is not clear where to go but we should have called earlier maybe. The room was delightful spacious and warm. My only comcern is that there is no email confirmation for business purposes and now I have no receipt which I need.

Yelp
Made and paid in full for reservations a month before we arrived. We wanted a cabin with modest kitchen facilities, a place for our family to stay together without the kids having to sleep on the floor, and a minimum of noise from adjacent cabins or rooms - and this place advertised such. When we arrived at night, our cabin had been double-booked and we were out of luck for the next three days and nights. One of our kids has a serious food allergy (thus the desire for kitchen facilities). After discussing for over 30 minutes, the best they offered were two very modest motel rooms. No kitchen facilities or even a microwave, no way to stay together, broken door in one, and truly paper-thin walls. There was no other option in Denali - we looked and all places in town were booked. We ended up having to eat at very expensive restaurants that could accommodate food allergy issues, not being together as a family and paying way too much for what we got. Worse was the way the manager treated us - literally yelling at us, not offering as much as an apology much less a break on anything, saying he was "losing money on us" by giving us the two rooms we needed to accommodate our family. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are much nicer places and nicer people at the same rates in Denali. Stay clear.
