Because you shouldn't have to get rid of your favorite jeans just because they have a giant hole in the crotch. These experts will reweave 'em so you can wear them at least until they go out of style. (Miss u, skinny jeans.)

I think they did a fair job with my denim (N&F, Left Hand Twill), but the way the website is setup to submit your denim online needs work. It is not very user friendly and could be better. The directions are not clear or concise. However, the chain stitch is not bad, I did notice some damage to the denim, but overall I am pleased. It cost $45 to do a chain stitch hem. I will probably use there services again. Just depends if I obtain anymore denim... which I probably will. :)

i am thrilled with what denim therapy did for my jeans. the process was extremely simple. follow the instructions on the website and then send them off using your carrier of choice (i used USPS and it cost only $18 or so). i am writing this review because i just received my jeans and am completely blown away. the patches i requested look amazing - exactly what i asked for (i sent them with a rough sketch and described what i wanted to the best of my ability) and they turned out even better than i had hoped. the patch finishing on the reverse is beautiful, the machine stitches are the perfect tension to match the rest of the garment, and the shashiko mending looks so awesome. the jeans feel great on my skin; can’t wait to wear them threadbare every day (i’m so proud of my idea now + the flawless execution) and then send them back to be put back together by denim therapy. thank you so, so much!!!

Just picked up a pair of jeans they repaired and a pair of pants they hemmed. I was super skeptical of the repair work but let me tell you I cannot even find where the hole was. It’s like magic. I wish I had I had known about them sooner. Oh and they were finished sooner than expected so all the more reason to give them five stars.

D F

Google
5 stars is too low but it’s the most I can give here. Repairing your jeans makes sense. They already feel nice and comfortable and why buy another pair when you can have an old friend repaired? I have been sending my Levi’s to Denim Therapy since 2015. They fix the manufacturing defect that a lot of Levi jeans have, you know that hole that all too quickly appears in the crotch area in a pair of jeans not even old enough to be considered worn-in. The price is reasonable considering that the quality of work has always been very good. The most recent pair of jeans I’ve sent in is a 23-24 year old pair of cheap wranglers that just so happen to be the most comfortable and my favorite pair of jeans. It’s better to repair than throw away. Five stars is too low DT should get 5 plus.

I picked up my Eckhaus Latta jeans 12/16 that were taken in about an inch at the waist. I should have examined the job more closely when I picked them up but I was rushed to get home. Upon getting the jeans home, I was thoroughly appalled with the messy job that quite honestly ruined my $400 pair of jeans such that they can never retain their original value. For a place that specializes in denim this is unacceptable and I will never under any circumstances use or recommend this business. There was no care in the finishing, seams are completely uneven and crooked and threads left long and untrimmed (photos attached). If they didn't have the technical capability to work on these jeans, I would have gladly taken them elsewhere rather than paying $65 for this botched outcome. I have emailed the company to request a refund and so far not heard back. I am beyond disappointed after trusting all the positive reviews on here.

Alexandra Lechman

Google
Be careful with this one. Denim Therapy lost my garment bag and refused to send me a new one or offer me a refund.

I’ve used their services for years and have had at least 10 pairs of jeans repaired. Their work is top notch and I trust them with all work. Awesome to deal with - highly recommended!

Google
I was quite satisfied with the high quality repairs Denim Therapy made to three pairs of Levis 511 jeans. Basically, all three pairs suffered crotch blowout, which was exacerbated by continued wear, that necessitated repair. The stitching and patchwork the tailors used to reinforce and recreate the fibers and colors of each pair was nothing short of excellent. Though the price was admittedly higher than expected–especially for three pairs of jeans–I was nevertheless pleased with the work Denim Therapy has done, and I will certainly use their service again in the future.

Yelp
I highly recommend Denim Therapy to anyone who needs repairs or alterations to their jeans. They did a fantastic job repairing a hole in my vintage Levis. Communication was great, turn around time was super fast and they were a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again!

Yelp
One of my favorite pairs of jeans had a hole in the front pocket. It was fixed once, then a new hole sprouted. Sewn a second time, but that made the pocket almost too shallow for anything. I found this place online, and immediately booked an appointment. After a 2 week turnaround, it was time to pick them up. I had front both pockets replaced, and now they are ready to resume their place in the rotation. The job was about $90.00. Perhaps a little pricey for some. But knowing they were fixed by one of the seamstresses that works there, made it totally worth it...to Me.

Yelp
Denim Therapy has moved and merged with Denim Surgeon next door - 150 W 36. They are the same business in the same location

Yelp
I've been sending my vintage denim repairs to Denim Therapy for several years. Recently I asked them to add an extra hem to a vintage suede jacket and they knocked it out of the park. They were up to the challenge. Great communication throughout the design and alteration process. Highly recommend for everything from simple hole repairs to custom leather jackets.

Yelp
Had a zipper repaired in one pair of jeans, and changed a button fly to a zipper fly in another. Friendly people, quick service, and seemed affordable to me!

Yelp
I love my g star jeans so when they ripped I was bummed. I found denim therapy online and their reviews and pictures looked good. I was confident that they would do an adequate job fixing my jeans...I was wrong. I sent my jeans and got a message from UPS letting me know they were delivered, that was September 11th. 3 weeks after they were delivered I called because I hadn't gotten an estimate. I spoke with Rafael and he straightened that out we even went over what repairs I wanted done again to clarify. I check online a week later and it says my jeans are "in therapy" so I'm thinking cool they've had my jeans for 4 weeks now I should be expecting them back soon now...wrong again. The website says 2 week turn over I didn't get jeans back for 6 weeks and when I did they looked worst than when I sent them to be repaired. The large tear at the upper thigh and small tears at the top of the knees and small tear at the bottom of the back pocket is what I asked to be repaired. They did well with the large tear but everything else looks like it was done by a blind seamstress. The back pocket was completely neglected and for some reason I have about 2 dozen random vertical stitches down the thighs of my jeans now. Not to mention the massive amount of what appears to be gauze inside the jeans. What a waste of time and $124.

Yelp
I brought 2 pairs of nice jeans to have small holes patched in the crotch. I give them 3 stars because visibly, they did a nice job repairing them in a timely manner, but to be honest I've barely worn them since I received them back. I'm not familiar with their technique, but there is a MASSIVE patch of gauze material on the inside of the pants that I find unbearably uncomfortable. It is rough to the point that my skin was visibly irritated and begins to peel back with wear. I carefully trimmed off the section that peeled up and was hoping it would reveal the natural material, but it leaves some type of residue that is still very rough. I've washed them hoping it would come off, but it has not so far. On another note, the pants I brought for repair are tight, women's denim and although the thread they used is a really close color match, the material is not the same. For example, one of the pants has some stretch to them, but the repairs do not have the same give. So not only is it uncomfortable for the reasons mentioned above, but it alters the fit of the pant because they don't stretch in the areas repaired. I don't think I'd use this service again for this type of pant, but men (who wear boxes) may have better luck.

Yelp
If you bought your jeans new, you've probably worn them till then become faded and holes will occur. That's where denim therapy comes into play! I had 2 jeans with holes in them and they fixed everything. The jeans came back like new as if the holes were never there! I don't know what they did but the technique used was as if I just bought the jeans! Fantastic company! Amazing method! All around awesome!!! The only downside is the price. At 5 per square inch per fix, it'll get up there in cost...

anthony r.

Yelp
I've been using them for years. But they're quality, service and turn around time has got worse. On the latest pair they only hemmed one leg! simply forgot to do the other leg! I've found a new denim repair spot.

Yelp
I brought jeans in to have some holes repaired and was disappointed in the quality. The workmanship was poor compared what I've gotten from Selfedge (on the same pair of jeans). Denim Therapy covers holes with a large piece of gauze on the inside, before running through the darning machine. This would be ugly and unnecessarily stiff and thick even if they trimmed the gauze down to the size of the actual repair. But they don't even do this. They leave large squares of it, which are attached beyond the repair area with adhesive that's just a bit tackier than a post-it note. The result is cumbersome and unfinished looking, and is only going to get worse with wear. When I picked up the jeans, I asked what the deal was, and they just said, "that's the way we do it." Well, yeah, thanks. But I have to assume they do it this way because it's easy. Other people make permanent repairs, using the same machine, without the gauze. They offered to trim the gauze for me, but I decided to just do it myself. It's an improvement, but still looks amateurish, and the jeans feel diminished. For what it's worth, the quality of the darning itself was very good. Whoever ran the machine knew what they were doing. The small repairs that just required stitching were all done well. Denim Therapy may be a good resource for hemming and alterations. But I can't recommend them for repairs. Find someone who will darn your holes properly, without the crutch of backing fabric.

Yelp
My experience with Denim Therapy is somewhat in the middle, so let's call it three stars. While they were able to repair the crotch rip in my favorite pair of Sevens, the gauze-like pad that was used to do it and the Pony Express shipping method left me a bit irked. I've had these particular jeans for a long time and they had become threadbare on both sides of the crotch seam. I felt like I tempted fate each time I wore them and that I'd inevitably hear a dreadful tear as the boys finally busted free. After seeing a blurb about DT, I did a little research and sent my jeans off to get fixed. I paid $12 to use their shipping because it included insurance. I printed off the label, wrapped and packed up my jeans and dropped them off at the Chicago USPS hub. Little did I know that these would become part of a bulk shipment on its languid journey to NYC. This was probably my biggest regret with the entire experience. For half the price I could have sent them priority mail and had them arrive in two days instead of the two weeks the Pony Express took. Once they arrived DT contacted me regarding the repairs, cost and time it would take to fix them up. I passed on the back pocket wallet hole, as it would have been quite expensive. They were very busy and therapy was going to take a bit longer than usual. About six weeks from when I sent off my jeans, they arrived back home. Thankfully, they used FedEx on the return. Sadly, my jeans seemed just tossed in a box. No invoice, no note, no bag. Just jeans in a box. For the nearly $50 it cost me, I would have expected a bit more attention to detail. The holes in the seat were all taken care of and not noticeable from the outside. The inside, however, was a different story. It looked like a gauze-like weave. There were also a bunch of stray threads all over my jeans. Maybe clean up your work after you complete it. I knew that the repaired area would be a bit tougher than the well broken in, buttery soft denims I sent them. It's not such a big deal to me, but something you'll want to be aware of. Color match of the threads was perfect. Overall I'm satisfied with the work that DT did on my best pair of jeans and I'm thrilled to have them back in the rotation. I'd recommend DT for any major repairs that you need done that can't be completed at your local cleaners.

Yelp
I sent in three jeans for crotch hole repairs. I only wanted one to be expedited back as I didn't want to pay the fee for all three. They went ahead and expedited all three anyways. I've had my repairs done here for many years, Denim Therapy rocks!

Yelp
After finding a burn hole from my dryer (yes, my dryer) in one of my favorite pairs of vintage Hudson jeans I was heartbroken. I called all over for someone to mend them and every answer I got was "we can put a patch on it, that's about all that can be done." I don't give up that easily. I searched online for denim repair and was ecstatic when I found Denim Therapy. I shipped my jeans that evening and had a quote within 2 days (which I happily agreed to) About 3 weeks went by and I got the e-mail that my jeans were on their way back to me. The next day they were at my door. Denim Therapy did not disappoint. I'm very pleased with the quality of my repair and will definitely be sending them more jeans and many more referrals.

Don't come here. They probably lost my jeans; been a good half a year, ignores all my emails.

Yelp
These people really are miracle workers. And it's as good as it gets in terms of denim repair. Basically your other options are attempting to sew your hole up (not advisable), or patching the holes (also not advisable - unless you're going for that Punky Brewster look, in which case, still not advisable). I really don't know how they do it - some kind of magical denim elves I'm sure, but they do a great job. And it really does match and look good. The reason they're not getting that fifth star is because of some weird payment issues I had with them - apparently they weren't receiving the e-mails I'd sent them with my information. And the fact that I wore through the repair in a particular pair of jeans, but a year later - I'm hard on my jeans. You can drop them off if you're in New York, but they prefer if you just mail them.

Yelp
The Denim therapy repair on my AG Jeans was incredibly disappointing. After waiting nearly 4 weeks for their return to me I found that they used a bulky patch that appears to be interfacing. This patch is incredibly rough and bulky when being worn... A far cry from the promised "re-weaving". In fact on their own site they claim that they don't patch but re-weave the fabric, from where I sit on my repair this statement of theirs is an outright lie. I will give it to denim therapy that on the outside my jeans look near perfect, unfortunately as pants are meant to be worn the inside is as important as the outside and inside they fall far short. My favorite jeans that I expected to return re-weaved and expertly mended returned with a sloppy (on the inside) thick patch that scratches my leg with every move. At the high price I paid I expected far better.

Yelp
Have you ever had a good pair of ass jeans? Doesn't it suck when something happens to them? If you buy $22 Levis at Smithaven mall, you're not going to understand what the hell I'm talking about in this review. This is about my favorite custom made jeans and what I'll do to keep my great ass jeans great. I bought an expensive pair of jeans at Jean Shop. They are a great pair of jeans. I got them dirty and was told not to wash them and never dry clean them. What? Now, I'm not going to trash Jean Shop. I dig the shit out of them, they make a unique product. When I washed these jeans? Everything changed about them. The stiffness, the sheen, everything. And the strangest thing happened, I also lost a few pounds. Now for those of you that follow me on Yelp, I drink wine, love French foods and eat Gay Ice Cream every chance I get. To drop a few pounds out of the blue? I promise I didn't make a binding pact with Beelzebub to drop a few lbs. Can you believe if you don't drink for a few weeks and walk from the Lower East East to Penn station its considered exercise? Well, wearing my washed Jean Shop jeans make my ass square looking. Like sponge bob square pants square. WTF? I'm Italian & Greek, My olive colored ass isn't square?! I get a email from this place believe it or not, in the Fashion district. At one time the Fashion district actually made things?? Denim Therapy, we'll fix your demin jeans. Really? Even Sponge Bob shaped Jeans? I called the store and the man says, sure! We can alter Jean Shop Jeans, come on down. I slide in and show them my jeans are baggy, can you help? Sure, no problem. Give us a week. I had to pay on their website, I got an email receipt, everything is pretty simple dealing with these folks. Sure enough, I got an email that my Jeans are altered. Come and get them! I go back and try them on. I'm bringing sexy back!!!! Now here's the thing. They don't sell anything, they only do repairs. I asked them do sell belts or do anything else with denim? Nope. Only repairs. My jeans fit great, it was a little pricey but worth it. (to me) Lets see how the wear with the alterations. If they do shoddy work then, Ill bring them back and report it to you fine folks. Have Jeans that need repair? Find this place!!

Yelp
After my last pair of jeans were repaired, I sent in another two pairs of Diesels out to my good friends at DT, and of course, when I received them back, the work was phenomenal and I couldn't be any happier with their work. Some people have rated DT at 3 stars because "if you're crafty and have a sewing machine, you can do this work yourself", well, not really. DT takes great care in finding the closest matching thread possible to your original jeans and they take into account the fades and where to change the colors if needed. Besides, if one is searching for someone to fix a pair of jeans, chances are one doesn't own a sewing machine nor possess the skills to do the job they do - its called a skill and one that they obviously do well. Thanks again DT!
google avatar

Vicki D.

Yelp
I live in California and love using this place. They will keep your designer jeans going and their patching is flawless. You can approve the repair coat before they do it and charge you. If you don't approve the cost then they just charge return shipping. They don't repair corduroy and I think their zipper repair is pricey. For wear and tear on your standard denim or stretch denim they are fab.
google avatar

Rachel F.

Yelp
Really pleasantly surprised with my repair, given the bad reviews! It's true that the website is kind of misleading: once they add up all the inches they'll need to repair to keep a small hole from reforming, the cost jumps to $45 or more. And they do use a sort of "patch" on the back of the repair - but it's super soft and not at all uncomfortable. My jeans were color matched perfectly and I got them back in just under two weeks. Plus the repair seems really sturdy! They also give a discount for first time repairs. Note: to get into the building you need to show your ID and wait for a painfully slow elevator.
google avatar

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
Simply Amazing! At first I thought the cost of repairing was slightly expensive despite what I had originally invested in the jeans, however when the jeans were returned and I put them on, it was like an old friend returned into my life. Simply Amazing!
google avatar

Mike Z.

Yelp
Process was easy and the jeans were ready within a week or two. To be honest, I expected better results and I'm not entirely sure I'm going to wear the jeans since the repair is quite noticeable. At $27 for a 2 inch tear, I think their prices are reasonable. Jeans: stronghold (selvedge)
google avatar

Barry E.

Yelp
My favorite pair of jeans, $200 Diesel Safados, had a blowout at the knee, but Denim Therapy made them almost like new again for $72 total. Nobody is the wiser unless I prop my knee up into the light and point out where the hole used to be. Deducting a star because DT's website doesn't specify the carrier used for domestic shipping, which is important to me when deciding to have something shipped to my home or my workplace.
google avatar

Jin C.

Yelp
I do like Denim Therapy, and I've repaired the same pair of jeans twice here. I do a drop-off and pick-up, so don't really have issues there. The first time was for a knee and crotch hole, and the second time was for a crotch hole on the other side. I do feel like the repair does look generally indistinguishable from the actual denim from a distance - it does feel stiffer, but I guess that is to be expected. The second crotch repair doesn't match the color of the first crotch repair and is slightly lighter, but then again, the first one was repaired three years ago so I'm sure there were color changes. The first repair is still holding up, by the way. What really bugged me this time was that my jeans came back smelling of cigarette smoke. I would still recommend Denim Therapy to my friends and I would still come back, but be warned!
google avatar

Daniel A.

Yelp
I have a pair of Buffalo David bitton jeans that are my absolute favorite because of its comfort. I was pretty sad when I had a crotch tear and thought it was done with. Determined, I set out a search online on repair methods and came across Denim Therapy. I took a look at their site and recovery photos and was convinced. Sent in my pair and they came back looking nice! But only after a few days wear, they started to rip once again. I sent an email which was responded to very quickly stating I can send these back for a free repair, all I had to do was pay for outgoing shipping. They look much sturdier and now I'm a happy customer and will be a returning one!
google avatar

Richard A.

Yelp
You can take a chance on these guys and hopefully you'll get the service others are talking about. However, if you are sending in an a pair of denim you care about and you don't want to risk it, then send elsewhere. There are other places online to get your denim hemmed and holes repaired. You just need to do a search online. I know of at least one other in New York, one in California and another in Washington. My mail-in experience was awful. I sent my jeans in using USPS priority 2-day which cost me $13. It arrived on Saturday, but not delivered until Monday because they are closed weekends I guess. I waited... and waited... and finally on Friday, I decided to give them a call and see what was going on. The girl I spoke with told me that the tailor had some questions about what I wanted done to them and I answered her over the phone (even though I sent in the sheet of paper with specifications). I had sent in two pairs; one for tailoring and the other for fit reference. Now, I'm not tailor, but I can see the difference in the waistbands and hips. Not a ton of difference, but enough to see that they don't match up by about 1/2 inch or so which, as you know, can make a difference. I also requested a chainstitch hem. I waited for my electronic estimate which came that Friday and it said the tailor saw no difference and would not be doing the tailoring but would be charging me for chainstitch hem if I wanted to proceed. At this point, I decided that it was best if I didn't explain to someone how to do their job and take a chance on them ruining my expensive pair of denim. I responded with having them do the chainstitch hem since they already had them and would have to pay the return shipping anyway. Which btw, is $18 on top of the $25 for hemming service. That's $31 in shipping for a $25 dollar service; all in. So I waited... another week goes by and I'm at this point like "wth?" I send off an email asking them to send my jeans back since it's been another week at this point. I get a response saying "It is a two to three week turnaround since time of payment." Two to three weeks for a chainstitch hem?!?!? I let them know how unhappy with the service I've been receiving and how incredulous it is to have to wait that long. On Monday they send my jeans out to me. When I finally receive them, I pull them out of the box, check out the work (chainstitch nicely done) and notice they feel a little high. I pull out the tailors tape and sure enough, 1/2 inch too short from what I requested. Wow, way to add insult to injury Denim Therapy.

Yelp
Four crotch blow outs and each pair has come back looking great and actually looks and feels more durable than the original denim. The thread matching that do is really good. Yes you can see where the repair is made but I suspect overtime as the thread fades it will look more and more like the original denim. I live in Colorado so have to mail in my jeans for repair but the process is easy and turn around from mailing them in to getting them back is usually right around a month.
google avatar

Myrna P.

Yelp
Good quality. Horrible service. Seeing as anyone can stitch together a minor tear, i find it more important to have good customer service. Took them days to respond to my emails. Had to follow up a bunch of times. And didn't get my jeans in time for an event because of the lag. In addition, it was $25 for expedited shipping. The "expedited" shipping took a week. Something doesn't add up.

Taryn F.

Yelp
I had a few pair of jeans repaired nicely as well as a dress and a couple tops mended. The only negative was that they messaged me that my items were ready and when i went to pick them up, they couldn't find them anywhere. I had to follow up to confirm that the items were found in storage, but I did have to make two trips to pick up my items.

Yelp
Had a 3x3 inch hole in my favorite pair of jeans which they patched up using similar color denim stitching for $27. The only annoying thing was physically going there to drop it off and pick it up (it's an inconvenient location for me). They offer to mail it to you but, to me, wasn't worth the extra cost. I still recommended it to a friend recently, though. It's nice to have a denim fixing option in the city :)

Yelp
I've had two pairs of jeans repaired by DT. The first time, I was very happy with the service, and the repairs seemed very well-done, with great color matching. The second time, not so much. I paid for three repairs but only two were completed. And one of the repairs was sub-par, no better than what my local dry-cleaner could do. The color matching is completely off, and the fabric is now stiff and uncomfortable. But the worst part of the experience is the glacial speed of their customer service. I wrote to notify them of my dissatisfaction, and after sitting on my complaint for nearly a week, they responded that they would correct the work free of charge. I followed up immediately, but it's been 9 days, and I have not heard back. I won't be sending them any more jeans.

Katie A.

Yelp
I used Denim Therapy after hearing about it from a friend who RAVED about the experience and service. I can't say I'd recommend the company. From start to finish, I've been disappointed with the service and quality I've received. I shipped out my jeans very late after putting in the request (definitely my fault!). However, when I noticed the tracked package reported "received" via USPS, I started checking the status of my order through Denim Therapy. Several days passed and there was no update, so I sent an email inquiry. I followed up a day later asking if I could get a referral discount from my loyal friend. I heard nothing for several days until I got the form letter saying that my order had been processed and payment was required to continue the order's progression. I paid promptly. It wasn't until later that afternoon, I received an email response to my original queries, saying they couldn't honor the discount because I had already made payment on the order. Ok then. I didn't want to make any judgement until I received the final product and had high hopes when receiving my jeans since I've heard a lot about the thread matching. When I examined my jeans, I was shocked at how poor of a match was executed. Furthermore, I feel like I'm going to have two patches of cardboard in the area that was repaired. All this for close to $100. I might as well have bought new jeans for this price point. Overall, I feel like I could have had my jeans repaired at my local dry cleaners for a much fairer, and less involved process.

Yelp
I consider myself a bit of a jean connoisseur, having racked up quite the collection over the years, and as such I am very particular about the brands I buy and the companies I use to service them. I have to say, Denim Therapy came as a HUGE welcome surprise! Over time, and I can only speak for men, my jeans tend to wear in the crotch area. I used to try and fix these myself or take the to the brands main store for a patch and the work was always shoddy. After giving DT a try, I will never go anywhere else. I submitted (2) pairs of jeans with the crotch needing a patch and (1) pair with a clean rip in the back, near my bum. DT patched the jean and matched the color, to the point where I had to really look to see where the results were! Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a fix on their premium jeans. FWIW: I walked in with no appt to drop off and picked up in person, so my experience was direct drop off and pick uo.

Yelp
Not your standard tailor experience. Overall the turnaround time was good (about a week - faster than promised!), the quality of their work was good, but the the in-person experience was aligned with a company that likely built their reputation online. The repair work on a couple of holes in the crotch was fine. The colors didn't match as well as they promised online and the texture of the repair reminded me of solidified gum. One of the guys at a high-end denim store called it "rock crotch". The chainstitch hem was great. Exactly what I wanted. Denim Therapy is a business established for customers who love their denim, but the in-person service feels standoffish and not aligned with the denimheads they serve. I'm going to guess they're more set up for online service, based in part on the "no cash" policy and a requirement to go through their website to set up an account before you can submit your order (and submit payment). As a NY resident, I consider it a shame. I'll likely return. They're one of a short list of spots I can get my hems chainstitched in NYC/Brooklyn. The others tend to be denim retailers and it simply feels weird to get my jeans that I've purchased elsewhere, hemmed at a store I haven't bought them from (knowing this is a personal choice). But then, if you want to geek out on a denim in a big way, it's worth visiting some of those denim shops in the NYC area (like Self Edge and Green in Blue).

Yelp
THIS REVIEW IS STRICTLY FOR DROPPING OFF/PICKING UP JEANS. Denim Therapy is definitely my go-to for getting premium jeans altered. They are in midtown NYC (38th St. & 8th Ave) in a nondescript building. The staff is friendly and efficient. They have 2 people who do all the alterations: a seamster and seamster. They are about senior-aged, so not sure what they're gonna do when either one retires LOL. At any rate, I worked with the seamstress (I forget her name) and she was so sweet and helpful. I dropped off 2 pairs on separate occasions. The first was a pair of Tellason's selvedge that I needed chain-stitched hemmed (you denimheads know what I mean) and DT had the machine to do this. I then needed a full leg taper on a pair of Imogene + Willie's that was sitting in my closet. It was too baggy and couldn't be exchanged. Both came out perfectly! Note that there is a 2-3 week turnaround even if you drop off your jeans. I guess they do it on a first-come-first-served basis, which is fair.

Yelp
Followed this company on insta for a while. Finally pulled the plug on a basically 2 month old pair of hudsons that the knee ripped on, and I could see the other knee starting to go. I sent total repair was about $60. Now I didn't really need the other knee fixed but had it reinforced so I didn't have to do it twice. I thought it was worth it. They did a great job. Only I know where to look to seethe repair. Otherwise you'd have no idea. My only complaint was the time table that it took. They do squeeze every day of the projected timeline out of it. If not forth at id have given it 5 stars. Very happy with the work.

Yelp
Went to drop-off my jeans directly to their office and got the chance to meet with the very friendly staff. My jeans were completely ripped between the thighs (3x3 inch hole). Denim Therapy fixed it very well, and within 5-6 days. The color of the new yarn is close enough to the fade and the fix is very strong. Very satisfied!

Yelp
In my lifetime I've owned five pairs of size 27 Diesel Daze jeans. They've been hugging me for years, and I refused to give them up. They had that oily, delicious film that only comes from wearing them religiously. But one by one my booty proved it couldn't be contained and managed to bust through the threads at the exact same place. On my last pair and fearful, I scoured ebay for a backup as the style was ages old. Each day I shut my lappy empty carted, anticipating the final moments. When it arrived I wasn't distraught as expected because I learned of Denim Therapy, my jean savior, doctor all of rips and tears, promising my baby hole free and plastered to me once more. Just mail in the pair, DT responds with a price depending on the type of damage ($47) and you give em the go ahead. I received mine within a few weeks, radiant. The six inch gash along my right buttock was practically indistinguishable. *poof* Now you see it, now you don't! Somehow they had copied the weave and pattern an gave my baby its face back. Off to conquer the world!

Yelp
More proof why Yelp is a better resource than any magazine review... So I read in NY Magazine that this is the best place to get your jeans repaired. Wow. I can not imagine how a business owner in NYC could throw away such a golden opportunity. This establishment is not even almost ready to take drop off orders. They should stay a mail-in business. 1. I went there and could not find the place because they have a shared office space with no sign on the door. 2. When I called, they almost did not want to tell me how to find them. 3. When I finally found them, the people working there did not help me. Handed me a piece of paper and said put your information here and drop off your jeans. They said "you used to need an appointment to come here" and "drop off is new to us and we are figuring it out". For the owner: In this economy you should really have your business in better standing before opening your doors to the public. If you are not ready for drop off orders, then do not accept them. Also, you may want to set up a better process/experience for your paying customers. Even if you do the best job in jean repair, no customer should experience a 30 minute process of BS before you allow them to provide you with their business.

Yelp
This place is terrible. I sent in a pair of Gap premium jeans that had small wear holes on the front of the thighs. The "repair" was done with gray thread (these are blue jeans). The patches are immediately visible to the naked eye from a distance of a couple of feet. It simply looks like someone has stitched over the hole with a different thread. These are not rewoven jeans. Worst of all, there is a mesh-like patching material on the inside that makes the jeans extremely uncomfortable to wear now. I preferred the holes. I called as soon as I got them and the guy I spoke to was very terse and not particularly helpful. He basically told me that if I wanted to go to the effort to bring the jeans by, they'd take a look. Not great customer service. I would NEVER use Denim Therapy again.

Yelp
So you've ripped your favorite pair of jeans and you're devastated - i mean, face it, you look and feel amazing in them, and now it's like an era of your life is over... In comes this place, denim therapy, a jean repair specialist firm - employing advance techniques of threading, matching, filling to get your jeans back on your sexyback behind where they belong. Negatives: kind of expensive, but so are jeans these days - and it might take longer to get them back than your local dry cleaner. Positives: professionals, easy order form, quality... Not to sound like a male, sikh carrie bradshaw - but sometimes it's best to just say bye to old jeans, the way we do with old flames, but other times, if we think they're a perfect fit, it's worth the therapy, denim therapy... haha, well i like this review.

Yelp
Sorry, everyone talks about how great they are, but I was really disappointed. I am not dinging them because of my high expectations, their work just wasn't great. I had this FAVORITE pair of jeans, that had some significant wear and tear. The bottoms of the legs looked so worn out it practically went up to my calf on each side (not quite that high, but you get the point). I sent my jeans in, and didnt hear a word. After nearly two weeks, started trying to contact them through the site, no word. Fine, I'll tweet about them. I'm tweeting @denimtherapy can you hear me? Okay, they have a blog. Let me look at the blogger. I tweet @ her. She was great. Found out info for me, that their facility had moved literally the day my package had arrived. Fine, I can understand that. FInally, DT gets in touch with me and gave me back a hefty estimate: $97. Okay, 2/3rds the price of the jeans, but I LOVED these. Nearly a month later, jeans returned. Flared, and one side longer than the other. They literally widened the bottoms of the jeans. No idea why. You can tell that they had taken them apart at the seams and then sewed them back together, only wider know. Yeah, I haven't worn a pair of JNCOs since 1999. Thanks DT.

Yelp
I was very excited to have my jeans repaired, and I chose denim therapy to do it. I love my jeans, and I wear them almost every single day, but there were two holes in my knees and a hole coming along by the crotch area. I get my jeans back, and my knees look like they dipped them in cement to cover the holes, there color match technology is very, very off. Besides that, they missed so many spots on the jeans that needed to be reinforced. Overall, I am very disappointed, I paid $85 and I have jeans that still have areas that are becoming holes. If you are gonna have people wait 3 weeks to get there jeans repaired, maybe you guys should do a full spot check on everything that might be needed to be repaired. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Yelp
OMG... this place saved my Favorite Jeans! I do have couple of expensive jeans and i wear them all the time.... and they usually won't last long because of my big F*T Thighs (Keeps rubbing at each other). I saw a deal thru Giltcity.com and i gave it a try. After fixing 3 inches in the inner Thigh and 1 inch on my right knee. Now it looks like brand new!. Even tho i spent $ 40.00 (Regularly $80). Very easy system, drop off or ship your jeans. Takes about 2 weeks for repair (for faster service, you can pay extra $$ to get it fix sooner). And they usually let you know over the email when they are done and can pick it up . I will come back again to give my jeans to repair them!.

Yelp
Sent in 2 pairs of jeans to have some holes repaired. It cost me $13 to ship it to NYC. A week later I got an estimate by email which was cool but the estimate was over $125 to fix my jeans! $77 and $49 respectively. So I of course told them to send them back to me and paid another $18 for that. And it took over 3 weeks to get them back. All in, I spent $34 on shipping. The same day I got them back I took them to my local Korean dry cleaner who did the work for $9 freaking dollars per pair!!!! I'm such an idiot. This services is wayyy too expensive.

Yelp
I sent in two pairs of jeans to be repaired (large tears - inner thigh and knee). The turnaround time was acceptable considering I sent them in over the holidays. The shipping was a little high, but I was willing to do it to save my favorite pairs of jeans. When I received the jeans, I was SO happy with the work. The color matched perfectly. My jeans were still as comfortable as ever. The white batting on the inside didn't bother me. The jeans tore along the repaired edge first time I wore them. I complained to Denim Therapy, and they offered to repair them for free (just had to pay the shipping). I agreed. The repair turnaround time was reasonable. I was able to wear the jeans a few times before there was an even larger tear around the repaired area. The second pair of jeans lasted a few months before it tore along the edge of the repaired area. I wanted to love this service. I was okay with the price. I just need more than a few wears out of a repaired pair of jeans. The customer service was excellent, but the product wasn't worth the hassle. I just had to buy a few new pairs of jeans.

Yelp
Completely overpriced and the hole that they fixed reopened again (about 5 times bigger than the original hole) after 2 wears. It is easy enough to find any pair of jeans that you want online these days. I would rather shell out a few extra bucks for a brand new pair rather than get work done that isn't guaranteed to last.
