I’ve lived at Denizen Bushwick for a year, and honestly, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s not just an apartment building — it’s a community. The building itself is beautiful — clean, modern, and filled with unique touches like murals, greenery, and cozy common spaces. The rooftop is definitely a highlight, with amazing views of the Manhattan skyline (sunsets up there are unreal). There are so many thoughtful amenities — from co-working spaces and lounges to a gym, rock-climbing wall, and even a bowling alley. It really feels like everything you could need is right here. What I love most, though, is the sense of community. People actually say hi in the elevator. The staff is kind and helpful. There are events where you can meet neighbors, or you can just hang out in one of the courtyard spaces and relax. It feels safe, welcoming, and creatively inspiring. The location is great too — right in the heart of Bushwick, with tons of cool coffee shops, bars, galleries, and restaurants nearby. And it’s super close to the L train, so getting into Manhattan is easy, though honestly, I often prefer staying local — there’s so much to do right here. If you’re looking for a place that’s more than just a place to sleep — somewhere you’ll actually enjoy living — I highly recommend Denizen.

I just moved into the Denizen a month ago and I love it. Its an extremely clean building, and the staff is really nice. You can tell they invested a lot into making this space nice. I legit feel like I live in a hotel. My friends are always impressed whenever they come over. The building is huge and I think there are some places I haven't even explored yet. Reserving the amenities and events isn't as seamless as you'd expect it to be for a building like this. The app/web service they use seems a little outdated. I'm seeing other reviews complain about amenity fees, which I have sympathy for, but the building is pretty transparent about pricing when you move in. It's NYC, fees are expected. My favorite part about the building is the community. I love having neighbors that look like me, and that I can hangout with. I've been living in Bushwick for 14 years now. and the location of the Denizen makes it my favorite apartment that I've lived in.

The building of the Denizen is pretty convenient especially traveling within the five boroughs. Management is very unorganized and for the last 2yrs that they have had this building they have only created a toxic environment. You pay $125 for amenities and you can barely use them ie the hot tubs outside. It’s basically mid June they supposedly don’t have a permit something they could have been working on for an entire year. The rooftop furniture is horrible I’m embarrassed to invite the ONLY 3guest I’m allowed to have upstairs. The concierge are nice except Chris who works on Melrose street night shifts very nasty attitude. Some your neighbors may have come into this building with either a voucher or lottery either way some of them are rude. So you spend all your hard earned money for nothing for this type of environment. Best of luck to those wanting to live in either 54 Noll or 123 Melrose. My hope is the Management team gets better.

Stayed here for 14 months and had a great experience. The staff and management were very kind from the beginning to end. They have incredible amenities and lots of events to help build community in the building. I would recommend this building 1000 times over. Stayed at The Denizen in Bushwick for 14 months and had an incredible experience. From day one, the staff and management were consistently kind, responsive, and professional, making the entire rental process smooth and stress-free. The amenities are top-notch—everything from the rooftop spaces with stunning views to the state-of-the-art gym, co-working areas, and communal lounges made living here feel like a luxury experience. The building also hosts regular community events, which made it easy to meet neighbors and feel connected, whether through rooftop yoga, happy hours, or holiday gatherings. The location is also a huge plus—Bushwick’s creative energy is right at your doorstep, with great coffee shops, restaurants, and nightlife just a short walk away. Overall, I would recommend this building 1000 times over to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-managed place to live in Brooklyn.

I had the pleasure of living in this incredible building, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a stunning lobby, modern design, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The attention to detail in every aspect of the building is remarkable. The amenities are truly top-notch—everything you could possibly need is right at your fingertips. The state-of-the-art fitness center kept my workouts exciting, and the rooftop lounge with breathtaking views quickly became my favorite place to unwind. The pool, co-working spaces, and resident lounges made daily life feel like a luxury retreat. Beyond the amenities, the management team and staff were outstanding. They were always responsive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure a seamless living experience. Whether it was a quick maintenance request or helpful concierge services, they truly made me feel at home. The location was another major perk—close to everything I needed, with easy access to great restaurants, shopping, and public transportation. I highly recommend this building to anyone looking for a vibrant, convenient, and luxurious place to call home. It’s not just an apartment—it’s a lifestyle!

Almost want to gate keep this place but I do love it. I hope to come back to live here again! Clean spaces and amenities: every day a staff of cleaners and handymen take care of the building. Friendly concierge and amenity team! They organize so many events for both the amenity members and non-members and so many group classes. Super friendly and helpful ppl at the leasing office. Fulfill any requests to fix smth in your apartment fast. I only needed 2 times for 1.5 years which means smth. Love that they pay the water, gas, trash and sewage. You only pay for the electricity. What I didn't like: upon moving in, the dishwasher, W/D had signs of being used, not clean enough and one roach was brought to the apartment in one of those appliances. Otherwise, never had roaches.

We LOVED living here. The building is really well run, super clean, and have great community vibes. The maintenance staff attend to issues quickly and it's super convenient to file a ticket. The convenience of this building is top notch. Our unit in particular was a GEM: incredible lighting, great views from our balcony, all the appliances/fixtures were in great condition. We really took advantage of the roof and dog run for our pup (though they should penalize those who don't pick up after theirs!!). The reviews about the amenities are fair, but note they are run by a 3rd party company. They've only been with the building for a little over a year and have made many improvements in that time, and they do take feedback seriously. The minimal hours was the big pain point for us as we've seen other buildings allow amenities to remain open even if unstaffed but I can understand the challenges with this for such a big building and all the liabilities. The events vary widely, which means there's something for everyone, we made many many friends from these events. All in all we used the amenities a LOT, even renting them out for private events, with no issues. The only reason we're moving is because we're leaving the state, otherwise would have definitely renewed. Even with all the complaints, you'll find many neighbors living here for many years so I think that says something about the overall quality of this building. Nowhere is perfect, but this place was the best apartment either of us ever lived in.

The outdoor hot tubs have been shut down for over a year straight. During the summer the excuse was lack of lifeguard management, and during the winter the excuse was that the hot tubs needed to be winterized. And now, the indoor hot tub is drained half of the time. These were never issues last year. Why pay monthly for amenities that won’t be there? Especially when pool area was one of my main reasons for purchasing amenities. (I will remove my review if this issue is addressed.)

Yelp
This apartment complex is seriously impressive. From their Yoga studio & separate spin studio , dog park, Hydroponic garden for tenants to grow their own food, pool, and incredible rooftop with views of the Manhattan skyline. I'd be here all day typing away at the laundry list of amenities. You will certainly get yours monies worth, renting here.
