We’ve been here for wine tasting. We set outdoors overlooking winery. Friendly staff with the character explained history of the vineyard and told a story of each wine. Their wines are hidden gem: very interesting take on the Cotes-Du-Rhône wine style. We were so impressed that bought two bottles for our anniversary!

We had an amazing experience thanks to Tony! Beautiful views and amazing wines!

Google
We visited Dinner Vineyards and found their wines to be of high quality. The facility was very nice with architectural elements blending beautifully with the rolling countryside. The atmosphere was nice and service was spot on without hovering. I would recommend a visit to anyone who can appreciate beautiful surroundings and a good glass of wine or two! We will be returning on our next visit to the area. Urban Cowgill

This was an incredible destination that will leave any wine lover feeling ecstatic. As a family-owned winery, it exudes a sense of warmth and intimacy that is difficult to find elsewhere. The wines are truly exceptional, and the winery's dedication to sustainable farming practices adds a layer of depth and complexity to the tasting experience. Whether you prefer Rhône-style wines like Syrah and Grenache, or other varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier, Denner Winery has something to satisfy your palate. One of the most appealing aspects of Denner Winery is that tastings are by appointment only, which gives visitors a more personal and exclusive experience. As you enjoy the wine, you can take in the stunning views of the surrounding hillsides and vineyards, which adds a level of serenity and tranquility to the entire experience. Overall, Denner Winery is an unforgettable destination that will leave you feeling elated and inspired. From the exceptional wines to the beautiful surroundings, this winery is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique and authentic tasting experience.

Google
Very good wines, great options for wine clubs (they have 2 bottle club!), nice view and very helpful and knowledgable host. Nothing make you disappointed. Tony was very helpful, knowledgable and professional. We enjoyed wine tasting so much. I don’t see many wineries focusing on wine maker or vineyard manager more than founder or their family. I appreciate so much to hear from them about how they made their wine at Denner.

Google
We returned to Denner Vineyards today and were again impressed with the location and architecture of the tasting room and of the quality of their wines. Angie was our hostess and went out of her way to ensure we had a top notch overall experience. I would highly recommend Denner Vineyards and their wines to anyone.

Great wine and amazing experience! Very knowledgeable and courteous staff, beautiful views. 100% worth visiting.

Google
My wine maker friend recommended to taste the wines here. We were so impressed we joined their Club, that was five years ago. We have been to their tasting room around four times a year and I have sent my friends here on numerous occasions. Not once have I heard a negative report. Ron Denner has the best partys and events, we have never been disappointed. In addition, we have meet people from all over the US here and most of them visit even though it is way out of their way. That should tell you something. I just opened a bottle of Cirrus for mother's day, a one off wine from 2012. What a treat. I am reminded how much care the wine maker puts into every bottle. Thank you Anthony.

Yelp
Loved visiting Denner, had a wonderful experience with Tony and really enjoyed the wines!

Yelp
This a beautiful place to taste wine, under trees on the hill. We really enjoy are views while here. The parking is right near the entrance. Reservations are strongly encouraged. The wines here are highly rated but they need time to mature. With the acquisition by Gallo wines we will see how this will change the future.

Yelp
Service was horrible! Super pretentious. Hostess turned her nose up at us a party of four because we did not have reservations on a weekday. She did seat us but made it clear we were an inconvenience. We felt like we should hurry but our server was slow. It ended up being 90 minutes which was fine with us, we like to take our time but felt guilty for taking the table. Although not one, I repeat not one table around us was taken. So much for all those reservations! The wine was good, not great. We will t be back.

Yelp
Denner offers stunning views with wonderful wines. We were brought here for a tasting as guests of members and received super friendly service despite it being a busy day. Seating is outdoors with sweeping views of the hills and vineyards. It's a choice spot to add to your wine tasting tour.

Yelp
Our first visit and not only did we enjoy the wines, but also the stellar view and interesting architecture of the building. Tony took great care of us providing interesting facts, as well as recipes and even a poem during our time there. The 2022 Theresa & 2021 Gold Digger were favorites.
google avatar

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY one of the BEST in Paseo Robles!! We've been a Wine Club Member here for many years!! We just absolutely love their fine Wine!! Friendly staff and knowledgeable. We tell All our friends and Family, from the Los Angeles area . Thank you so much for the wine tasting !! Theresa was just so very friendly and knowledgeable!! Also the friendly gal that went beyond the call of duty and ran back to find a couple of unique wines.
google avatar

Yelp
The ambiance was delightful, making it one of Paso's underrated wineries. My favorite was the 2021 Grenache--a standout choice among their wines.

Yelp
Estate Wines that are bright, beautiful, exciting to the senses, and soft/velvety on the pallet. The views? Amazing, dreamy, and zen. The wines, tasting experience, views are PERFECT. Absolutely pleasurable and delightful. It's an experience to the senses and pallet one must try. Do so, please. On becoming a member, CHEERS to this!
google avatar

Janine D.

Yelp
Wow! This is a beautiful tasting experience!! The wines are fabulous and so is the vista, as you look out over the rolling hills and vineyards. Cece was our outstanding hostess. She is relatively new to Denver, but has certainly done her homework! Knowledge about their wines and ably fielded difficult questions. She also knew our preferences from prior visits and made suggestions tailored to our tastes. We had a lovely time interacting with her. We also were visited during our time their by Autumn from the Wine Club Membership team...what a nice gesture, that made us feel valued as customers . Of course we'll be back. This is a fantastic winery...not a bad bottle in the bunch!

Yelp
This was the highlight of all the wineries we visited on our trip. Gorgeous property, delicious wines and excellent service! Lisa was our hostess, and she gave us an amazing tasting tour - explaining wine notes, short tour of the property. Even though I'm not a red blends fan, I really liked their ditch digger and mother of exiles.
google avatar

Lawrence C.

Yelp
Venue was great. Very quiet, and peaceful. Tony is very knowledgeable and was an excellent server and guide to both the wines and the area. Plus, the wines were very good too!

Yelp
It really is near impossible to find a wine you won't love from Denner! I have been a member for several years and introduced many friends to their wine. I was just there this past weekend and Molly greeting us so warmly, even remembered my dog instantly by name! I thought that was going to be the highlight of my visit but then Yule came to my table to share his insights. I have been learning about wine more intently in recent months and Yule was still able to teach me several new things! I cannot wait to go back with friends to meet both Molly and Yule!
google avatar

Yelp
Another great stop on our wine tasting adventure! Make sure when you arrive to check out the amazing architecture. Check out those enormous curved steel beams, so sexy! Ok, full disclosure, we were with an engineer, so maybe not so sexy for everyone. The tasting was a great experience, especially since the manager popped open some older wines and let us do some side by side tasting. That is always the best way to experience the subtle differences between years and preparation. My favorite was the Mother of Exiles. Make sure to make an appointment in advance.
google avatar

Leslie W.

Yelp
Denner wine is terrific and a very good value. The tasting room is located in a beautiful setting with a view of the vineyards; an all around lovely place to sip wine. However, in our opinion, the best part about Denner is Yule. Yule works for Denner and we have had the pleasure of having Yule as our server several times. He is extremely knowledgeable about so many things, he is engaging, personable and so much fun to talk to. Bottom line, he's a brilliant scientist who knows his stuff!
google avatar

Yelp
Came for the first time on a cold dreary day. We had reservations and one of us was a member whom had never visited before. This does seem like a higher end wine tasting experience. Upon arrival we were welcomed and told to sit anywhere. All the wines are pretty darn good. They are more $$$ but they are really good. If you are going to pay $30 for a tasting come here where you can taste some really good wines. I believe our server was Lisa and she was very nice and knowledgeable. Views are breathtaking of rolling hills of vineyards. Wish weather was better to enjoy the outside but sitting next to the window was the next best thing. Love the witty names of the wines ! Mother of exiles was phenomenal

Yelp
Ron Denner and his winery is a perfect example of a total class, customer care, top notch wines consistent high quality. The scenery is magnificent. The service is fantastic. What else can I say? We have been going there for the past 15 years and they never failed us. This is a place that you can go with total confidence knowing you will enjoy a great wine and you will be treated with respect. They have started producing a Cabernet Sauvignon that is outstanding. The Mother of Exiles which is a Cab blend has always been great as well. The Dirt Worshiper, The Ditch Digger all fabulous wines. If you are in Paso this winery is a must visit.
google avatar

Kelsey B.

Yelp
A must-visit spot on your next Paso trip!! First of all, the views and scenery were so special and peaceful overlooking the hills. Everyone was so kind and excited for us to be there, including our host Lisa who was so wonderful and full of great knowledge! This ended up being our favorite spot on the trip. The wines absolutely blew us away and they were so different from others in the best way! Don't miss Denner on your next trip!

Yelp
Denner came highly recommended by friends. We made an appointment by phone, received the email confirm, and excitedly drove to Paso Robles. AMBIANCE (4/5) The 108-acre Templeton Gap vineyard growing 15+ varietals features a modern tasting room, outdoor patio, and environmentally-friendly techniques. WINE (3/5) While red wine aficionado friends raved about Denner (one INSISTED we go), our group didn't love the five wines poured in the $20pp tasting. The 2016 Theresa, well-known 2015 Ditch Digger, 2016 Zinfandel, 2015 Syrah, and 2013 Mother of Exiles were all perfectly drinkable but not stand-out. Perhaps we didn't try Denner's yummier wines? Also, candidly, my palate may lack appropriate sophistication. SERVICE (3/5) Fine - perfunctory. The two pourers disinterestedly greeted our party, shared little about the wines, and mostly poured tastings for each other. Out of the wineries visited, we felt the least welcome at Denner. In and out in under 10 minutes - efficient! Overall, a neutral experience. Open to visiting again (but there are so many PR wineries to check out!).

Yelp
One of our last stops before the state of California was shut down for COVID-19! So glad that the bestie made an appointment here for our weekend visit! (You need one to get in, so make sure you don't just show up) There are two entrances, one for club members and one for the rest of us plebes, lol! The Visitors Room was a large, open room, with windows overlooking some vineyards and a lovely circular counter at which we stood. There are tables, as well, but I like the idea of being able to chat with the person pouring our wine, and that's much easier if he's right in front of us. Unfortunately, I have forgotten everyone's name (so sorry!), but we started with one guy, who passed us off to another guy. We had great conversation, he had wonderful things to say about the wines, and, he was quite resourceful! They happened to have a little of a more recent vintage of Dirt Worshipper 55 (aged in concrete) open, which was nice. After hearing about the differences between the 55 and the regular, I was curious about the differences in taste. I asked if they had any other of the Dirt Worshippers open. As these were on the 'limited release' or 'library' list, of course, he said no and he's not allowed to open them. Understandable. However, he asked the wine room manager about it, who said, "Sure!" And we all had a nice little vertical tasting! We talked about food pairing, local spots (since the bestie lives there), etc. It was a lovely stop and we walked out of there buying a 2017 Mother of Exiles, a 2013 Ditch Digger, and a 2013 Dirt Worshipper! Can't wait to be able to go out to eat again so we can bring one of these wines!

Yelp
A colleague recommended Denner, and he did not steer me wrong. They have a very nice outdoor setup with a large covered patio, a picnic area, and a private tasting area for members. The tasting included 5 wines. The viognier was a nice less common find, and in general, their reds are less sweet/jammy than many of the other local wines, so their wines were definitely more my style. I particularly liked their primarily Carignan Sacred Burro and the Dirt Worshiper, which done in the style of Cote Roti. Tastings are waived with every bottle purchases, which is nice. For bottles, they also have library wines, which we took the opportunity to purchase. The patio is child and dog friendly, the hosts are very gracious, and the grounds and view are beautiful!

Jina D.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful property! Stopped in real quick to pick-up a shipment for a friend who is a club member, and Molly was so great and took care of us. From the pours, to her extensive knowledge of the region/wines/and more, was truly top notch! A must stop/must see! Will definately be back!
google avatar

Roy C.

Yelp
We had a great tasting at Denner. Tony our host was informative and also had some props, like an IPad to show us information that helped us better understand the wines. They have new releases with some aged, library wine. We loved the experience.
google avatar

Jenna D.

Yelp
This is a beautiful tasting experience. Their large outdoor patio would be great on a fall day. We were there during winter when they had a roaring wood burning fire blazing outside (delicious smell! But probably interferes with a pure tasting). We sat inside. Great service. You can bring your own food here, but you have to eat it on a special part of the patio (couldn't bring food inside)...that was odd, so we just waited to eat until we left. Views are really pretty. I didn't love any of the wines. It was the only place I didn't buy a bottle. They were fine, but not exceptional for me.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by for our 10am group reservation on a Saturday for my friend's birthday and were seated at their long table in the back. I believe they have a few different tasting rooms, but the one we were in could use a few extra aesthetic touches, as it was quite plain and lacked the personality I've seen and appreciated in the other Paso Robles tasting rooms. However, what they lacked in atmosphere was made up for by the incredible service we received during our $20/person tasting (waived with bottle purchase). Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. And very patient with us since some of us would get caught up in conversation and lag behind. Most of their wines are reds and I'm not a huge red wine fan so it's hard for me comment on their offerings. I did really enjoy their viognier that the regular tasting started off with. There's a beautiful view of the valley of you walk down their driveway.

Yelp
Molly was our wine expert and she was perfect!! She has great stories and knows everything there is to know (and I asked a lot of questions!). We enjoyed some really great wines - we loved them all. We visited here on a Tuesday afternoon so it was almost like having the area to ourselves. This winery has great history and the owner seems like a great guy who knows his wine and, just as important, how to treat employees. Visit here for great wine and greater views. We really enjoyed our wedding anniversary because of Denner Vineyards' dedication to great wine, great staff and great service. Thanks!!

Yelp
I returned to Denner Vineyards to pick up my wine allocations for the first time since the pandemic. I was again impressed with the beauty of the scenic location and the incredible quality and consistency of the wines produced here. Abraham was my host and went out of his way to give me a top notch experience with a personal touch. I highly recommend Denner Vineyards. This place is one of the best in Paso Robles and a real gem!
google avatar

Kristin T.

Yelp
Delicious wines! Visited the patio on a chilly day, and they had as many heating options as possible going but the tables in the shade were still cold in February, understandably. The owner was on site chatting with visitors, and it was a treat to hear about the history of a few of the wines. Happily purchased a few bottles that I look forward to enjoying later.
google avatar

Nobbi L.

Yelp
We have been members for over a year now and love this winery. This weekend we experienced our first "pick-up party" here. What an event! First we had a tasting of all the new releases in the winery. Then there was a catered sit down lunch featuring deconstructed cassoulet. It was absolutely delightful. And to top it all off, all this was on the house. Way to go!!!
google avatar

Josh H.

Yelp
This place was a recommendation of some of my personal guests as well as my roommate who had visited back in April - so it was a must on my Paso adventure. The "barrel stave inspired" property design is gorgeous and looks like it was a lot of fun for the architects to build. Molly hosted our group and we had a real great time with her as she lead us through the tasting line up. She has an amazing way of story telling and her descriptions of the wines felt right on and lead to many ah-ha moments in the group. We all fell in love with the Ditch Digger and left with a few bottles of those. Upon getting home, I forgot to get some Theresa and Dirt Worshipper for my roommate, but we will just have to venture back out again soon. The names of the wines were pretty unforgettable and I can't wait to return.
google avatar

Daniel G.

Yelp
I visited 6 wineries on my most recent Paso Robles trip and this was one of the best if not the best. The wines themselves are top-notch. The location and grounds are nice, and our server was nice and had great stories to tell about each of the wines. We came near closing and saw the sunset over the hills, which was amazing. I'd say the one semi-negative is the prices, all the bottles are quite pricey. I did end up taking one home though because I loved the taste. The Dirt Worshipper is a fantastic wine, a cold climate Syrah with a flavor all it's own. It's an $85 bottle, but I was so blown away by it I still pulled the trigger and took a bottle home. It came with a free tasting as well. I will likely be back here next time I'm in Paso Robles.
google avatar

Jody W.

Yelp
This place is beautiful but they have the most peculiar rules with zero logic! THEY CAN SELL YOU CRACKERS BUT YOU CANT BRING YOUR CHEESE! Zero logic you owners! U guys get a fucking clue! Our server was the best though!
google avatar

Kartik J.

Yelp
Having been to Denner over the years, I have seen it continue to grow and that is a testament to their wines. I have to admit that the wines are pricey but they are very well crafted. The tasting room is scenic and Lathan our host was knowledgeable, warm and courteous. He painstakingly explained each varietal and blend and was extremely accommodating. The winery was doing an excellent job managing during the pandemic with all safety protocols being followed. Will be back for sure.
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
The winery is beautiful and was one of several stops on the day we visited. The tasting is an incredible experience with beautiful views. We decided to purchase two bottles to take back with us to SoCal. In transit, the denner wine bottles became compromised and spilled into the trunk and onto adjacent wine bottles. This was extremely shocking and disappointing given that our other bottles purchased the same day from wineries in the same area did not break. Would do a tasting again, would never purchase a bottle on premise again.

Karen C.

Yelp
Wonderful! Beautiful! Fabulous! Enjoyed so much, we joined wine club!! A delightful experience.
google avatar

Thomas E M.

Yelp
"Dianna, you've been here before. Where is the one place you'd send us based on your visits here?" I'm asking my cousin for advice as we are on our way to Hearst Castle, the real reason we are in the region. She says, "Denner". She's in the club, arranges an appointment for us, and even orders us a cheese pairing. What more could I be asking for? How about this, we get to sit on a nice patio facing a valley in which a few birds indigenous to the area are flying about. It's a very hot day, but the shade is appreciated and the wine service begins. We end up having three different servers, and all are very personable and friendly. The wine was good, consistently, across the board. We bought a bottle of viognier (that we drank last night with friends) and a bottle of a Cabernet Sauvignon blend called "Mothers of Exile". This is our first winery visit in Paso Robles, and my cousin is not wrong. She's sent us to a great place with friendly people and good wine. It established a very high expectation for the region, and clearly took us by surprise. We did not expect the quality of wine, the volume of wineries, and the nice properties that are in the area.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
One of the beautiful places to sit and enjoy wine. Beautiful vineyard with patio tables or shade trees on the hill. Each time we have gone has felt serene and I love watching the hawks in the sky. Always a few gliding around and around and this time there were about 7 if I remember correctly.
google avatar

Kristen N.

Yelp
We love this Vineyard! The views are equivalent to the beauty of their wines! They also do a little cheese something if you go their tasting room for a tasting ( with a reservation of coarse) the staff is so knowledgeable! Love their wines and the wine club is great!
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Denner is one of the more exclusive wine experiences in Paso. Are their wines good? Heck yeah. Back to the experience. 1st you make a reservation which is easy. They're pretty open and it's not difficult. After You roll up to their large metal (you'll probably pass it) and punch the code in they provided. Go ahead and zig zag up the hill and park. They have two tasting locations. One for visitors and one for club members. The visitor room is nice. A wide open room with circle wine bar. Each time I've been the workers have been pleasant and don't mind the revisit... I usually walk away with a few bottles (Ditch Digger/Mother of Exiles). Yes they are more on the expensive side. However the quality and its a small production. Wine is rarely cheap when your average decent bottle clocking in at $20.00. I have nothing negative to say about Denner. It's pricey but I knew that going in. Oh, and if you buy a bottle I believe they knock off a tasting fee. I recently signed up for the club. So hopefully I'll stop in and see the other side soon.
google avatar

Shawn V.

Yelp
We were referred to Denner from some fellow wine enthusiasts we met while picking up our shipment at Epoch winery. Wines-what can I say award winning wines top to bottom! Service- was very tentative and very informative on the wines and history of the wine maker and the property. Property- one word ( BREATHTAKING)! We had such a great time we are now members. Can't wait to return for the release in spring.

Sebastian C.

Yelp
Lovely venue. Stunning views of the vineyards and rolling hills of Central California. I have an email from Denner with an image so STUNNING that is in my screensaver rotation! Consider a wine tasting here. Hint: make a reservation.
google avatar

Tíbor G.

Yelp
Simply could not have asked for a better wine country experience! Molly was an absolute treasure to get to meet. She took care of us as if we were friends of the family! Every little question was met with genuine interest and her stories plus knowledge contributed to our appreciation of the Denner brand. They made sure we were as comfortable on the patio as possible, even had some few surprise moments along the way like getting to try off-the-menu samples which was really special. The locale itself is stunning and you can't beat their deal for complementary wine tasting with the purchase of a bottle. Incredible all around and easily our favorite location out of the seven wineries we tasted in Paso! A+
google avatar

Kari W.

Yelp
We came here upon the recommendation of friends who are members. The drive up and through the private gate made us feel like we were somewhere a bit more exclusive! The property, the view, the patio; all gorgeous. Each interaction with staff was so great. They were kind, helpful, and friendly. While we didn't go into the main tasting room area, we did need to use the restrooms, which were beautiful and very clean! (A welcome change from a few other places we visited). Our group of 4 all enjoyed each of the wines on the tasting menu. They were some of our favorites from our whole weekend. We mentioned that we were considering joining the wine club, which meant we could take the first bottles home with us that day and have all of our tasting fees waived, which was awesome. Our wine educator brought out an extra tasting for us of another delicious wine, making it even harder to narrow down our favorites. We were happy to join the wine club and will definitely be back to taste and visit!
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon on our way back to Los Angeles and we were really impressed. A friend of ours recommended the place, he knows our wine palate, so we called and made an appointment. We walked into the tasting room when we arrived and it is bright, inviting, and has plenty of room. After checking in, we found a table outside on the patio to enjoy our tasting and take in the view. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. After a few minutes our first wine arrived. Our server was very knowledgable about all the wines and the history of the winery, which was great. I think my favorite wine was the Granache and the 100% Syrah library wine. My boyfriend love everything, but his favorite was probably the Ditch Digger. I was pretty impressed that the wines really carried the higher alcohol well and were pretty balanced. Although the wines are very expensive and the tasting is pricey, I still think it's worth stopping by to try the wines. If you're in the area, give them a call and make an appointment for a tasting. Cheers!

Yelp
Yule was guiding us through our tasting and he was truly a pleasure. He spent so much time going over each wine and explained the 'proper' way to taste wine to get the most out of it. He shared so much of his time and knowledge, and made the stop a great experience. The location, view, and building is incredible and the wine was delish. I've been to quite a few wineries in Paso, and this became a favorite. So much to love!
google avatar

Mandy T.

Yelp
This was one of the most beautiful settings we saw while in Paso Robles. Definitely sit outside. There are two beautiful areas. One is the main area. The second is higher up under some trees. The wine was great as was the service. This was definitely on par with my favorite vineyards in Napa. Ditch Digger was my favorite wine here.

Jaren S.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time with our host, Yuel! He was so generous and knowledgeable and made our time so special. Highly recommend
google avatar

Alyssa C.

Yelp
Very good wines, great options for wine clubs (they have 2 bottle club!), nice view and very helpful and knowledgable host. Nothing make you disappointed. Tony was very helpful, knowledgable and professional. We enjoyed wine tasting so much. I don't see many wineries focusing on wine maker or vineyard manager more than founder or their family. I appreciate so much to hear from them about how they made their wine at Denner.

Alex W.

Yelp
Always a great experience and amazing wines here. We recently came up to SLO to celebrate our engagement with family and came here for a tasting. We had a table at the top of the hill with stunning views of the valley. Our host offered to take some photos and got some great shots. We had a mixup with our order but the manager Autumn couldn't have been nicer and quickly took care of everything. Can't wait to come back the next time I'm up here.

Yelp
Visited Sunday 4/2. Worth one star because it was there. The facility itself was certainly nice enough. It was the most impersonal detached tasting we have ever been to. Barely got two words from our host who could not be bothered walking from behind the counter to the table where we sat. And the tasting room was not all that busy. Most tasting rooms offer something whether it's a cracker, a small piece of cheese or something to help you clean your palette between pours. Not here! In fact a glass of water when we were done. As for the wines, they were OK, just OK. I'm sure the overall experience affected our impression. We do like big bold Paso wines and I think we know good wine from not so good. What they served that day was tight and young. Even at $15 per person not a good value at all - to us.
