Denny's

I had a disturbing experience at this location today! Earlier this morning when I ordered and picked up my food the service was great, I even tipped the young lady at the counter. In addition, I went in later that day to bring my food in as one of the associates told me too when I called , while I was trying to eat. The first manager made it seem like “things just happen”. Yes, I understand things happen but compensate your customer and have a compassionate attitude about it. Especially, one that is NOT being rude about the situation. I ordered a Cali Club sandwich with seasoned fries and a garden salad. While eating the sandwich, I unexpectedly bit into a piece of plastic that had somehow made its way into the food while being cooked. This was not only shocking and extremely unpleasant and disgusting , but it also posed a potential health risk. (This was the tag that the turkey meat obviously came in). The first manager lied and said she couldn’t print me off a receipt so she went and got the GM, Christina.The managers had a MAJOR problem with me asking for a receipt. I patiently waited for the GM to come back out (approximately 10 minutes). Apparently, I was “doing the most “, was called “girllll”, and was told “the girl should have printed me off one last night , I can’t give you one.” (in her words), by the manager Christina. Which resulted in me calling the police because she was adamant on not printing me one for my references, although she had already printed herself one. Thankfully, I had already gotten my refund, I just wanted a simple receipt because corporate needed the order number. This incident did not have to escalate at all. I’ve never had this happen to me in my LIFE. New managers are needed there! Both of them were extremely rude and unpleasant to handle business with. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of compassion and professionalism.

Honestly, one of the best breakfasts in town. (Think about it, eggs, turkey bacon, grits, English muffin, and they did it the easy I like it) But the service and friendliness of everyone here is what separates the Denny's from they other. The atmosphere is Denny's, but the people here are amazing!

Service was fast and food was normal but my hamburger buns was great!!!! This new flavors of burgers are diferents. I tasted strawberry milkshake and it needs flavor

Took … over 20 mins to get a waitress and place an order, the food had to sent back because it wasn’t correct. Total “Rappers Delight” experience! Denny’s didn’t get the memo

This Denny's was great! We went twice during our trip to Raleigh. The food and service did not disappoint.

The service was terrible, it took 30 minutes just for drinks and an extra hour to get 3 plates of food. The food was terrible, the bread and pancakes were soggy and had no flavor. -10/10. Never come here

We live an hour from this restaurant but it's well worth the drive. Ŵe brought some of our church members with us, and they are still reminiscing about the food, especially the steak. It was so tender and perfectly seasoned. The waitress was friendly, fast, and always knew the right time to check on us. God bless the staff!

Absolutely a 5 Stars 🌟 🤩. Food was excellent and it tasted great. 😋 Service was quick and the atmosphere was electrifying. Everyone who was in the restaurant had smiles on their face. My Food was great 👍 Go by and check it out.

My son and I came here for my birthday. Their breakfast foods are delicious and made to order. Our server was polite and d attentive. We will be coming back real soon.

Took me 7 years to visit. Located across from Duke Raleigh hospital this used to be an upscale area. Located next to a Days Inn the area is now more diverse. The place was jumping on Friday morning at 9:30. Families laughing, seniors eating, and friends hanging out. The heat was pumping, maybe a bit too much but it was 25 out. Food was fresh, piping hot and surprisingly tasty. They probably needed another server but the hostess kept the coffee flowing. Hard to complain like other reviews. This was an great breakfast choice. When comparing to i hop Dennys wins out.

We had not been to Dennys in years and I didn't care to come back. I got the moons over myhammy, which was fine and the hash browns were good! The pancakes are nothing special and the syrup was what I remembered disgusting! Everything was just ok. Our service was great, quick, and the diner was clean, they even had a tv showing sports. Very casual, if probably go back if with others and try non breakfast items.

Rude waitress, dirty table, burnt hash browns, no utensils without begging. Freezing cold in there. It's Denny's, but has been decent in the past. Last visit to this place.

Got food poisoning from their braised beef skillet today. Should have known better not to eat there. The booth was filthy

I decided to try the crepe combo which was good but a bit too much vanilla for me. I miss the Nutella days to be honest. Service was good my only complaint was that I didn't like how the server kept putting her rag on the back of our booth seat. I get we were the #28 so it sits by the walkway. But I found it a bit unsanitary to clean tables and to save from having to walk a ways, you place it on the back of someone's chair close or not it still was gross to see. I tried to let it pass but she placed it on the seat back at least 3 times before actually putting the dirty rag away.

Service ain't bad, the waitress was really nice. I wish I could remember her name but she was friendly and stopped by often to make sure we were doing okay. Everyone else looked like they were dead but then again it was 11:30 pm soooo it's understandable. Food was good tho, didn't take too long to receive.

I'm not a regular here at this restaurant. However the staff so far has been excellent, attentive and humorous. The managers are stepping in with serving, due to a big flow of customers coming in. The only down fall I experienced was part of my meal came out on a dirty plate. I don't know if the cooks were rushing, and accidentally got some stuff on it or not. I notified one of the managers, and it was taken care of swiftly. Overall I'm pleased with the service. So thank you to the evening staff.

My wife got sick eating the hash browns because it was cooked in bad oil. I myself took a bite of French toast and that was nasty as well. We told the manager that the food was disgusting. She still charged us full price and didn't even try to offer any type of solution or compensation just a long pause and a "your total is". The only thing that was pleasant about the restaurant was our waitress. Hate to feel like my money was completely wasted and for her to leave out a restaurant feeling sick is unacceptable.

I've heard a lot about Denny's from my friends. Denny's was described to be as a wonderful, mysterious, amazing breakfast diner, that has amazing hash browns. Once I was told this bit of information, I knew I had to try it myself and see what the horrah was about this place. Me and MJ headed to Denny's last night to try out this little breakfast place, and boy were we happy. First, the interior reminds me of a cute little diner. This makes the restaurant feel welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. Anyways, let's skip to the good part. I went ahead and ordered two chocolate chip pancakes, two sides of hash browns (add cheese obviously), and a side of bacon. These hash browns were S-tier. If you don't know what that means, basically I'm just saying they were hella good! I would go back just for the hash browns, because they truly out did themselves for these. The bacon was good and crispy. But not too crispy, which is definitely a good thing. All you crispy crispy bacon eaters, I don't trust you! Just kidding, have your bacon, your way. Finally, I also got two stacks of chocolate chip pancakes. They were very good. Some of the better pancakes I've had. MJ got an Oreo milkshake, which was also delectable. If a restaurant has cookies and cream, you already sold me. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal. Not to mention, they have tempting crane games right when you walk into a restaurant. Not only can you have some of the best hash-browns of your life, but you may get lucky and get a prize. I enjoyed my experience tremendously.

I think Denny's is always on the top of my list when it comes to breakfast restaurants not too busy and the service is usually good. I did intentionally come in wanting breakfast but ended up getting dinner which is nice for the last minute decisions lol. This was my first time trying there dinner and it was actually good came out fast and hot. I had some pancake bites as my appetizer which was really good overall not bad at all for Denny's.

Food was fire, great vibes. Took a little long to come out but other than that, was delightful. Would definitely go again. Straight bussin.

Used a birthday coupon on had loaded on my mobile app for a free mini slam. Lady behind the counter was helpful and friendly. Didn't wait too long for my food service is quick:) food was still hot when I got home. Got the eggs and pancakes and sausages. Also got a cheeseburger with their seasoned fries. Delicious

Great food at anytime ! Their steak and eggs is delicious along with being delivered on time! Breakfast is good at all times of the day! The ECU Pirate Alumni work hard and long days! So we need something quick and good to eat!!

Stopped for breakfast with my wife. Service person rushed us to order, when food arrived she almost threw is at us. Then when clearing the table, she spills a whole glass of water on the table, my phone and my pants. Don't think I will be going back for breakfast. Big Ed's here we come

I love Dennys...for the most part, they provide decent food at a decent price. They could pay more attention to putting a sandwich together, but I rearrange it and it's delicious. The moons over my hammy is great. Their pumpkin pecan pancakes are sinful. The food travels well for delivery.

Denny's is spacious & has several seating options such as tables and booths. They are open 24 hours and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options. We came for breakfast because they offer a free build your own grand slam on your birthday. Our server, Urcela, came over right away and took our drink orders. She was very personable, friendly and attentive. She asked us multiple times if we needed anything & how was our food was. She also joked with us. We both ordered the build your own slam. You have the option to choose four items such as eggs, meat, pancakes, toast, pancakes, etc. Some items offered require an up charge or you will get charged extra if you choose more than four items. I got the bacon, hash browns, wheat toast and pancakes. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. The bacon and hash browns were good and the toast came with butter melted on them. I was so full that I barely able to eat a few bites of my pancakes. This is a great deal for only $7.99.

IHOP now closes at 10pm so we came here! Glad we did Great food and service! Restaurant was clean! Great late night meal! Definitely will eat here again!

4 stars on ambiance, service was bad, what saved the night was the lady that was behind the bar! Pulled pork was super dry, the chopped was dry and salty, sure good fries and hush puppies but nobody goes to a BBQ restaurant cuz the sides were good if the meats were not. Now the brisket definitely deserves to be treated as an entity on its own, super moist and seasoned to perfection. Overall if you are going for brisket, perfect choice. If that is not the case be aware pork is dry.

Decent breakfast this morning at Denny's. Nothing special, but reasonable. A little slow from start to finish, but the meal was good and the coffee was plentiful. Ham and cheese omelet was larger than expected, perhaps because I asked to skip the potatoes and the toast. I'm doing keto and this sort of thing is perfect for me to lose weight. Paying the check took a bit because the manager/cashier seemed to wander off into the back for a good few minutes before I was able to pay my bill. I'll bring cash next time. Literally the shittiest Denny's I've ever been to in my life. Went at around midnight after a concert and they had a good amount of people working. We got seated very quickly, the only issue was our waiter. Didn't check up on us a single time, forgot our toast and never brought our check. We waited 15 mins and he walked by several times pretending he didn't notice us. We finally just got up and went to the register and when the man behind the counter asked for our ticket we told him we were not given one. Tonight was the only time in my life I have not given my waiter a tip, and although I felt terrible he was genuinely the worst waiter I've ever had. I've gotten sweet tea spilled all over me and my sister at an Olive Garden and that was still better than this.

The food was good. Restaurant did have a weird musty smell as you come but not In the dining area. Wait staff was very good.

The food is usually good. Depends on who is cooking that day. They are usually short staffed and you may have to wait to be seated, sometimes I've asked the server to sanitize the table. They need to help accessible patrons in helping and leaving the establishment. It's not a fancy restaurant but a fairly decent versatile menu with vegan, carb, calorie control and smaller portion option available-special requests are usually possible. The establishment has more of a mom &pop atmosphere & menu. They offer great shakes & smoothies- yum yum. It can get crowded so you have to be patient to be seated.

I have no words to describe how amazing was the experience with Laurie. We discovered she has been working for the past 43 years at the same place and she was so happy, with a huge smile and so friendly! We loved her and the food was delicious. Laurie made our day happier. keep going Laurie!!!

Not sure if this is a new chef but this kids meal was on point! They forgot my bananas but it's cool. Thick French toast cooked to perfection, strawberries scrambled cheese eggs, turkey bacon and whipped cream

We came for a. Breakfast special . They were busy but we were seated quickly. The server was very pleasant and attentive. Food was good. Good temperature good portion. It was a really nice experience.

Pretty much a necessity for a 24 hour eatery. Service was very good with a friendly and attentive server. The only time she didn't come back was to give me the check... ironic, huh? :-) The food was very good as well. Eggs were sunny side up and done well. The turkey bacon probably could have stayed on the pan a bit longer but was still tasty. The 9-grain pancakes had a really good taste with the cinnamon in it. I would definitely recommend it if you're in the neighborhood.

This place is ridiculous. 10:30 at night and they're not seating anyone because door dash and grub hub have too many to go orders. Poor waitresses lose out on money because people are too lazy to go out! Haven't been to debts in years and now it'll be another year before I go back!! Shitty managers!!!

Okay I'll keep this short was not worth the trip, reason I say that because item I've already paid for wasn't even in bag I ordered that left rest of my food get cold and plus the staffing should've checked the bag prior me paying for my order. Would've saved time plus we're genuinely apologetic about the situation truly rubbed me the wrong way. Crossing this off my Sunday breakfast places.

We were served tonight by such a friendly yet peaceful waitress who aimed to please. Some areas she missed, but in spite of the shortcomings, the food was actually delicious, thanks to the cooks and I know she worked really hard to take care of us. We ordered an abundance of food and everything came out hot. The children enjoyed their strawberry popping pancakes and the others enjoyed their various slams and loaded veggie omelette. I really enjoyed our visit here and look forward to our next visit. Left full, happy, and slipped in some good ole family time.

I love this place! Don't know why they. Have such bad reviews. The food is delicious! Especially breakfast and for some reason the nachos are fantastic. The food is obviously not healthy but I don't know who would expect that it would be. Personally I love this place! I am trying to watch my weight though so I don't go as often as I would like.

If you are looking for a 24/7 dining place, Denny's is your place. I had the strawberry French crepes with turkey bacon, hash browns, and eggs on the side. It tasted AMAZING!!!

When chosing a budget friendly breakfast place to eat out, my child always votes for Denny's. She loves their choices and says their pancakes are the best. If you didnt know, Denny's recently changed their oanvake recipe which produces fluffy, tasty buttermilk pancakes. My daughter always leaves here as a proud member of the clean plate society because she eats everything on her plate. Her fave dish of choice for the kids menu is the chocolate chip pancakes (comes with 3) + bacon and milk. Big comfy booths, and a nice environment allows my husband to work here comfortably while sipping on coffee. It's brewed fresh and you have a choice of flavored ot regular cream. The waitstaff is always anxious to refill your cup, which we parents appreciate! Because of the portion size, he and I usually share one of the slams that comes with plenty of food: pancakes, eggs, sausage,bacon,hashbrowns,bread. We never leave here hungry or unsatisfied.

I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with this restaurant. It is clean, the service was fantastic. We ordered our food and what seemed like less than eight minutes we had both our dishes out on our table - piping hot and it was totally delicious. Very rarely do I see service such as this and I just had to call the manager out and congratulate him for running such an awesome restaurant. I give complete credit where credit is due to those who deserve it. Thank you Denny's staff for an excellent experience.

Terrible and embarrassing experience today. This is not a knock on the food. The food was good. Our server was good. This is about management. After my wife and I finished our meals we were notified that the debit/credit machine went down so they were only able to accept cash. I, like most people in this country don't carry that kind of cash anymore. So they gave us the only option suitable for THEM. They required me to LEAVE the restaurant to go find an ATM and then bring back the cash to pay. But before we did that they required me to let them write down my phone number and DRIVER'S LICENSE NUMBER! So now not only am I supposed to be inconvenienced to leave and hunt for an ATM, I am now an untrustworthy CRIMINAL? Here's the cherry on top... Management made ZERO effort to make things right for massively inconveniencing us by at least giving us a discount off the check. Taking off our beverages would've been more than sufficient, but alas all they offered was a "sorry". Guess what Denny's. That's not enough. Get your stuff together and if you're going to inconvenience customers by making them leave to get cash AND make them feel like a potential crook in the process, at the very least comp them an entree. I saw one man leave his family and his meal right there at the table to find an ATM. This man felt so guilted to get that cash as soon as possible he even left half of his uneaten meal at the table. Do better, Denny's.

Food was good. I had the ultimate omelette and my grandson had the chocolate chip pancakes. It was late at night and they were short staffed, but waitress did an excellent job of taking care of everyone.

It's Dennys. Quick diner type food. It was pretty cold in there. Take a light sweater or jacket.

Salmon skillet and the chicken philly burger that we had ordered was good. Service was great too. Overall a good experience in diner.

I haven't been to this Denny's in many years. They have upped their game since then. The food was hot and tasty, service was very fast and attentive, the people were courteous and the place was very clean. All for a low price. I came on a Tuesday morning so it was busy but not crowded. Probably good a time to show up.

Impressive. I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants however this Denny's was impressive to me. The staff is personable and professional. One staff member has worked here for 16 years and states she is treated well. Ersela. Great customer service skills. You can actually watch the staff prepare your food. Its a very clean and well organized. Ordered ala carte. 2 poached eggs, Chicken sausage just okay with a English muffin and potatoes. Will be back.

This place happened to be conveniently located near my hotel so my aunt and I walked here for breakfast. Otherwise, we wouldn't normally stop by a Denny's while traveling because we both like to try new places that are unavailable back home, and Denny's is definitely NOT novel to us. Anyway, this place resembles an expanded diner. Our waitress was being trained, so we had multiple waitresses throughout our breakfast. Service was great - they were all very nice and attentive. We both tried the Build Your Own Skillet option. I had hash brown, eggs (2), spinach, avocado, prime rib, and shredded cheddar cheese for about $7.99 or so. Essentially, you are allowed to choose one meat, eggs, potatoes, cheese, veggies, and extras for about $6.99. Avocado is considered an extra, but I absolutely love avocado so I had to get it! Loved all the options, though it made it more difficult than necessary to choose from each category. Tasted great and comes on a sizzling skillet. The hot chocolate was good, and their biscuit is phenomenal, though it probably has a ton of butter in order for it to taste so soft and delicious! My aunt had sausage, egg whites, red-skinned potatoes, spinach, grape tomatoes, and mushrooms. There are such a large variety of options, you can be as healthy or unhealthy as you'd like!

Went in with a Party of four they sat us down and we waited 30 minutes to not even be served our drinks pretty trash service the place wasn't even packed I shouldn't have to look over my shoulder to get a servers attention, we finally decided to get up and get out of that place. Shame

My family was in town and the little one wanted breakfast for dinner. It was a bigger order and everything was ready right on time. I ordered through yelp which is partnered with grubhub and I was so happy with the staff and the experience. Thank you all.
