1849 Bistro + Lounge

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in 8 years in SF. Exceptional service, beautiful delicious food, great wine list. We’ll be back!

We stumbled upon Dento (after hearing TamashiSoul Sushi closed in that location) and had a fantastic meal and great wines. The owner was really warm and welcoming and the ambiance is cozy. I think our favorite thing was the ceviche tostadas. I could eat 100 of those! The sashimi was all fantastic-- super fresh and flavorful. We also had steak, which was perfectly cooked and had great flavors (especially the crispy fried onions). The owner is really into his wines so they have a great list and fun flights that allow you to taste a few great ones-- and not just all one varietal. It was nice to start in the whites and end in the reds. We're really excited to have this new restaurant in the neighborhood.

Great food accompanied by exceptional service! Salmon tataki and scallop crudo were the stand outs for the evening. Servers were incredibly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of!

Great new spot! They had really good wine, and the food was delicious, specially the Toro Tacos

Decent place, pretty good happy hour. Interesting food selection, in a good way.
