Atomic Cowboy home of Denver Biscuit Co & Fat Sully's NY Pizza

This review covers five different visits to this location, ordering from both Fat Sully’s and DBC. Overall, my experience with DBC has always been more favorable than Fat Sully’s. The price points for the offerings of both restaurants are indicative of the quality which is one great thing. Not a fan of restaurants that have high prices and low quality. Employees always kind of seem annoyed that anybody is asking for their help. Haven’t been able to pick up orders through the slice window past couple times I’ve come either which doesn’t help. The slices are decent and huge but nothing particularly special. Okay prices The single burger is decent for $8 mondays, but heavily loaded in sauce and the pickles are a bit too thick for a burger. Not a huge fan even at the low prices and point. The Nashville hot sandwich is consistently great flavor with the absolute thinnest piece of chicken ever. You open the box and it looks like a very large sandwich with a thick patty, but the breading is far thicker than the protein. Super crunchy, almost like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Given it a couple tries because $12 is a price point I could be happy paying for a great chicken sandwich, but this fails to satisfy. I’ve gotten the Lola and the Ellsworth from DBC, with Nashville hot on the Ellsworth and every time, I’m happy to pay the $15-17 price for such an indulgent sandwich. The fried chicken never has the same issues as the sandwich that Fat Sully’s offers. Chunky pieces, not pounded and spread so thin. The biscuits themself are always massive. After checking out this location a handful of times I think I’ll really just be coming for a biscuit sandwich once every now and then to satisfy that craving.

We live over a hour away, but when we do come to town, we love to stop by this location or the one off of colfax with our kiddos. Every time we go, it’s always a great time and amazing food! Today our waiter just made our whole day! We all ordered the Nashville chicken tenders with their waffle fries, except my daughter, she wanted cheese pizza. My daughter had just finished her pizza and as she was finishing up our waiter brought her out another slice on the house. Such an amazing gesture, such a kind heartfelt act. Thank you guys for always making our time here amazing!

This place is just the best. The food, the vibe, the ever friendly staff. I drive 12 hours just to dig into The Lola once a year, and it’s worth it every time. SpongeBob on the TV, Stevie Wonder on the jukebox, what more could you want? (Shout out to Breena, she’s the best!)

We came to Denver Biscuit Company for our anniversary, and it was absolutely amazing. This place never disappoints when it comes to breakfast! I had the Franklin Biscuit, and my wife ordered what can only be described as a tower of amazing. Both biscuits were insanely delicious—flaky, flavorful, and packed with goodness. Our kid shared with us and loved it too. The portions were huge—definitely more than enough for the three of us. A perfect spot for a special breakfast or brunch. Highly recommend!

Was the best smashburger I’ve had yet. It’s juicy and saucy, absolutely stunning. The pizza was very thin and crispy, and was only $5 for a slice. Can’t complain about that. Our server was wonderful as well, had a great sense of humor and was very chipper.

Had the garlic knots. Delicious. Came q With queso and marinara. Also had a slice of pizza. It was delicious. Ambience was very chill. Had a bar inside.

Went here for the first time. Excellent biscuit themed dishes. Cinnamon roll topped with bacon was yummy. Great $5 margaritas. Service great.

Open late with huge slices of pizza. Some great beers on tap. I don't think anyone needs a pie. My slice practically had a salad on it because I love free unlimited toppings.

DBC Is an absolute must stop for some bomb food! Great service here and a super chill environment. You can tell that it's a mix of foodies and locals that know to come here. Really good coffee as well that you can serve yourself. I don't need to write a long review here, just know that everything you can taste is 10/10. Sometimes the wait can get crazy.. so definitely plan ahead or call ahead and see what it's like. I've been here Where We've been able to walk right into a table and I've also been here waiting an hour.

I've been coming here (DBC) since it was only one location. It NEVER disappoints and is still maybe one of my fave breakfast meals of all time! I get The Franklin, with mushroom gravy. Add an over easy egg! Always the best! And cheese grits. I hold the hot sauce.c but that's just me. A Georgia girl via CO for almost 20 years... This is where you get a REAL biscuit!!

I'd been to Denver Biscuit Co. a few years back and it made a huge impression on me. It reminded me a lot of Pine Biscuit Co., but with its own tweaks and nuances. I always said if we came back to Colorado we'd have to come back here. And, you know what? It still hits. My Dahlia was excellent. That syrup made it everything. I mean--I love a good biscuit and eggs are the backbone of every breakfast, but when you get to pour syrup on things the gods never intended to have syrup poured on, every bite just becomes better. Toby's Korean Fried Chicken one agreed with her as well. The service was great like last time, with a new addition being a weekday cowboy combo to make the biscuit sandwiches into a value meal. That's very customer forward and just made me love this food joint more. As did the pour yourself coffee bar, The ambiance was great. It felt very niche and quirky, but still warm and inviting. It felt very much like a place near her school that we used to hang out at that also served great breakfasts. I only wish we could come back more on this trip.

Everything was pretty good. The gravy was probably the best gravy I have ever had honestly. Delicious ice coffee with my meal. Good service food came out fast. My biscuit could have been warmer but other wise all was good

Was visiting for the weekend and saw so many reviews of the DBC. Such a cute spot. Was able to walk in and get seated with no problem. My server was attentive and friendly throughout my meal. Let's get to the meal - I ordered one of the breakfast sandwiches (sausage,egg and cheese) with a side of McHashbrowns and biscuit gravy. Everything was so good. The biscuit sandwich was massive and very filling. The biscuit gravy was a nice addition to the sandwich. Also, they have a $5 margarita!! You can't go wrong with that. Definitely recommend if you're in the Denver area.

Great brunch spot. Located in walkable area with small shops to check out. Lots of indoor/outdoor seating. Not a Biscuit fan because I've had too many dry ones but was recommended to try this place. Ordered The Beeler which was a Nashville Hot Chicken 4/5 - it was massive. Service was good from bar seating. Maybe I'm a biscuit girl now? Would definitely come back to try others.

Came in for brunch with my girlfriend. We got The Cordon Bleu with Nashville Hot chicken instead of the buttermilk. We also ordered the Giant Biscuit Cinnamon Roll and a side of waffle fries. The Cordon Bleu was super flavorful and I liked the flavor of the hot chicken. Worth noting as well it is not super spicy. We didn't order any other mains since we had the cinammon roll, but on its own it probably isn't enough for two. The side of waffle fries was great and super crispy, though I thought they could have had more seasoning. The cinammon roll was pretty good. I didn't love the harder outer layer, but I was a big fan of the denser/soft inside. They provide more than enough cream cheese too. I think four people would be the optimal number to split between. Our server was super nice and they also had a self-serve coffee bar set up with things like flavored syrups and ground cinnamon. You also get to choose your own mug which is fun. I would definitely come back!

Whenever I'm in town I make it a point to stop here for a Bite. I arrived shortly after opening so there plenty of parking on site. If you get there later they do have street parking available I ordered the Franklin with a side of waffle fries and the strawberry rhubarb mule. The biscuit is a warm, flaky, homemade goodness with savory gravy , seasoned tender chicken and crispy bacon. Just perfection. A southern girl like me appreciates a good biscuit and country sawmill gravy. The mule was refreshing. I love a good strawberry rhubarb combo. Great location, decent parking, decent prices and great service.

When you pull up, you're not going to see signage for Denver Biscuit Co until you get to the door of the Pizza joint. Kinda nice that you get a 3 in 1. $ 54 after tax for 2 adult biscuit sandwiches: the Franklin & the Ellsworth. . I added an egg to one sammie & we ordered a cinnamon roll to split (went home with us after 2 bites - lots of icing, yum - completed unnecessary add on & pretty tough on the sides... I'd skip it next time.) We had water. Immediate seating. The service was excellent & we were both very happy with our main selections. I will note that the biscuits were a bit crumbly.

I found this place kind of by accident and was so glad I did. We often share meals when we try something new on vacation so we shared a Franklin with waffle fries and a biscuit with jam this was plenty for the two of us, I don't think we could have each done a sandwich. OK so I don't generally like when my foods are mixed and this sandwich was like everything I wanted but mixed together so I was apprehensive. Oh my goodness I'm glad I just went with it. It was so good! The chicken was moist and the gravy was fantastic. The biscuit was fluffy on the inside and warm and not dry at all. We were unsure which jam to choose and asked our server what his favorite was. He said his favorite was raspberry but strawberry was the most popular so we tried both. I have to say that the raspberry wins hands down.

Went to the biscuit company for lunch. Service was fantastic. Lunch was very good. Both my daughter and I enjoyed what we ordered.

I've been wanting to try this spot for a while now but timing never worked out because of the wait line during the weekend. It finally worked out this time and I couldn't decide on what to try. It wasn't busy at all and we had a group of 5, service did their job but it could use some improvement. It took some time to get drinks and once refills were needed that took some time to get as well. Decent set up inside and you can see why the weekend line is long. There's not a lot of tables so it doesn't look like it will get overcrowded. For my meal I got the Lola, I don't know what I expected for the price but I expected more than a biscuit, chicken tender and 2 strips of bacon. Sure it was good there just wasn't anything that really blew me away.

Came here with some out of town friends to show off the best biscuit breakfast in Denver. My husband and I hadn't been in ages but we're excited for a reason to return. I got the Franklin - delicious as always (could have had more sausage gravy). My husband gets the pot pie and the sauce is delicious/piled so high with onions! We split a cinnamon roll for the table which was the perfect preamble for four people before our mains came, although I was only able to eat about 1/4 of my sandwich and bring the rest home for leftovers. Our friends were impressed with their sandwiches as well and they got an extra biscuit plus three jams (they really enjoyed the fruity bourbon jam). We went on a Friday morning and it was easy to get a table for four of us. We had a super nice server as well! Will think about coming back for trivia.

My favorite go to spot on Tennyson!!! New $5 cocktail and $5 beer each month. Breakfast is amazing, great daily happy hour, the end with a hardy slice of pizza. They have board games, old cartoons or sports on the TV, and great staff.

Iconic Colorado comfort food. I've tried this place a couple times and my wife loves it. I think the place is good, great ambiance and the food is unique. The portion size is large and the food is tasty. On my last visit I tried the Franklin and my wife got a burger and she thought it was delicious. The Franklin was good but not as tasty as I was expecting- still good though. Our server was great, no complaints there. Ultimately if you haven't tried this place you should. It's a nice place, it's unique and it's good. I recommend it and a may be back someday. Happy eating!!

They don't serve biscuits after 2pm, so we ended up getting a chicken sandwich and chicken tenders. Unfortunately the chicken was a little dry and bland. Pretty disappointing since I've heard a lot of good things about this place. The waffle fries on the other hand were perfect. Crispy on the outside and soft/ warm inside. Hope to give this place another shot in future!

The cinnamon roll and biscuit sandwiches are awesome. My Husband and I ordered half of a cinnamon roll and a biscuit sandwich each and we were stuffed. I even saved half of my sandwich for later! I ordered the Beeler. The Nashville hot fried chicken was delicious. I would definitely return!

This place is delicious! Let's start with the hot coffee bar. $3.50 get as many help yourself coffees as you want! The Franklin! This buys it sandwich covered in gravy is massive in size and delicious! The crispy peace of shiver and bacon made it next level. Oh, tip get half and half on the sausage gravy and mushroom gravy. Strawberry shortcake was excellent! Biscuit base with homemade strawberry jam and cool whip! This place is a must when visiting Denver.

$4.60 for grits, and you guys gave me less than 3 spoons full. Unacceptable. I love your sandwiches, and always prefer to go to the source instead of ordering online, but I was at work and craving a Winona. I won't be ordering from you guys again.

Love love love Denver biscuit co. I had the unlimited coffee bar, and liked the non dairy option for milk as well as syrup choices for flavor. The biscuit cinnamon roll is good. Honestly the most recent time I went the roll was a little over cooked in parts but oh well. The biscuit sandwiches are massive and taste incredible. The hashbrowns are just like McDonald's. Highly recommend. The service was fast, provided good recommendations, and friendly.

DBC is a Colorado staple & the perfect hangover brunch. Be ready to come in with an appetite because the portions are hefty. I've been to a bunch of their locations, but the one on Tennyson is my go-to. There's a small parking lot out front and plenty of street parking. At this point I think I've had everything on the menu, but the Franklin is for sure my #1. Buttermilk fried chicken (yes), tenderbelly bacon (yes), cheddar cheese (yes), smothered in your choice of gravy (OH HELL YES). Be sure to add on a runny egg as that completes the meal. Their mushroom gravy is crazy good. I still opt for 1/2 and 1/2 so that I get a taste of the sausage gravy too, but that mushroom gravy has such great depth of flavor that I could dunk an old shoe in it and still find it delicious. If you're a fan of their gravy, def get the Sully's Fries - waffle fries with bacon, pimento cheese, green onions and smothered in gravy. Yummmmm. Now listen, are there better biscuits out there? Yeah. Theirs are on the denser side, but they serve as the perfect vehicle to hold all of that decadent goodness in between. The place does get busy, especially on the weekends so putting your name on the waitlist is the best move. They have a self-serve coffee station with a pick-your-own mug deal which is a cool touch. If you're looking for a belly-busting brunch that's a good bang for your buck, then DBC is the place to go. Breakfast is served until 2pm M-F and until 3pm on Sat-Sun. They have a full bar and their pizza concept Fat Sully's offers lunch/dinner starting at 11am.

Soft and crunchy it was really good. Had to have it drenched with syrup and also had the Hazy IPA. The chicken was perfect with the crunch. Wish I knew about this place earlier tomorrow my last day. Will be coming back tomorrow most definitely. Service was great and fast. The vibe was chill with an old school diner look.

Denver Biscuit Company by far has the best biscuits the best cinnamon buns and overall breakfast biscuit sandwich! The service is great and the food is always top notch! Crystal and I are huge fans and come here often and there's just nothing like it. We also love when we go to a brunch event or some kind of food event and Denver Biscuit Co is one of the vendors because it's always a hit! We can't wait to come back again real soon! Ps it's always got a fun vibe with music and people enjoying themselves and even games you can play while you wait and it's in a fun neighborhood perfect for walking and shopping before or after your meal !

We decided to try atomic cowboy for brunch. It was on Dinners, Drive-ins, and Dives. It's also popular on most must-eats in Denver. The biscuits are soo amazing! I've never had a biscuit so flakey and yummy before. The pieces of chicken are generous and fried perfectly. We were having a hard time deciding which biscuit to get. I was between two. I decided on the Ellisworth. It was so good the honey was amazing and a great touch. Don't be afraid to go Nashville hot-it's a nice spice. The service was wonderful and even surprised us with a free biscuit. The Beeler was delicious. The third biscuit we got was the Franklin. The gravy was a great touch and very flavorful. We are from out of town, but next time we come back to Denver, we will be back! Thank you for the hospitality! For those who are anxious about parking: there is a small parking lot and we got lucky with someone leaving for a spot. Otherwise it's street parking.

The ultimate comfort food. It's so decadent and the portions are huge! Service is always spectacular and the vibe is just right. When we have visitors they always ask to come here. The Lola with a fried egg, the giant cinnamon roll and the French toast are what I've had and all are mouth watering!

OMG I woke up craving biscuits, but came in craving more! Nikki is an absolute doll! If you can get her as your server, you would be doing yourself a service! She exudes customer service! The legendary Denver biscuit company is a great way to start your day with some good ol brunch and biscuits the size of your head There are many to choose from and each are delightful. Be warned though it is not for the faint of heart so come here if you have low cholesterol or something because right after you eat it you're gonna need to take a nap break in the afternoon it's very heavy and greasy. the staff provides wonderful service you might need to flag your waitress down since there's a lot of people and they are busy the ambiance is same across all the chains and has a nice diner feel with a denver twist. i recommend trying this place out if you're ever in the area! can't go wrong with some good biscuits. there is also pour your self coffee section with random mugs B++

Unlimited coffee , supermosa, The Franklin, Mchashbrowns - and a big ol cinnamon roll! it was all incredibly yummy ! This place is always incredible! We celebrated our anniversary breakfast here in the morning. The place is busy but they squeezed us in just fine! The biscuit was a little crunchier than normal but the inside was soft and perfect! I love the unlimited coffee! And the supermosa is called super for a reason - woah ! But the Franklin is and always has been our favorite thing they make here! Ryan and I split all this and still had a lot left over to take home! It was such a treat! The place is fun and alive with lots of people and the best service and great music in the background. They have games you can play at your table and again the coffee is unlimited and self serviced which is nice!

You can reserve your place on the wait list online and thankfully we did but I arrived a bit earlier than "brunch time". We picked a seat outside and glad they had huge umbrellas. Service was actually meh. She came maybe twice and took a long time in between. At the end, we had to wave her down to get the check Ordered the big cinnamon roll, Lola and substituted the biscuit with French toast, and the beeler which is a Nashville style. The cinnamon roll was actually REALLY big but really delicious. It looked like way too much icing but the icing was so light that it didn't matter and it actually tasted really good. Kind of tasted like ice cream tbh. The Beeler was actually really good. Flavors were good, biscuit was fine, and surprisingly the pickles paired really well. I stopped here for brunch on a Friday afternoon with a group of 8. We were quickly seated, though they had to split our group into 2 booths. So if you're coming here with a large group, note that they don't have too many tables to accommodate for that. They have free unlimited coffee that you can serve yourself here which is amazing! I also ordered their version of an espresso martini. It tasted watered down and like there was no alcohol in there, so I would just opt for the free coffee if you're debating on an espresso martini. I ordered the Lola, which is a biscuit sandwich with fried chicken, bacon, and maple syrup. They give you an option between spicy and regular. I got the spicy, but it didn't have much of a spice to it. However, it was tasty and the serving size was massive enough for a whole leftover meal to enjoy later.

I've had food from here twice now. First time I ordered on door dash & had the cheesy grits and a bacon egg & cheese biscuit. It was pretty good so when my friend wanted to meet for a quick meal I suggested this place. We met for lunch and were seated right away. I had a cold brew which was good. And for sandwich this time I had the DBC club & my friend had the Winona. They were both super tasty and filling. She had waffle fries on the side and I had the grits again. Overall was just as good if not better the second time around. The inside is a cool set up and they also have drinks and such if you wanted to have that. I will definitely be back here.

I usually get there biscuit fried Chicken as a brunch thing today I had a job across the street so I stopped in there for a burger and it was actually pretty good

First visit to this location. Great vibe. No wait for a part of 6 at 11:45 on a Tuesday. Service was solid. Food was great. The portions are big and the food is filling. 2 can share a biscuit sandwich and fries no problem.

Awful! Do not order food from there! When I'm in the restaurant, the food is fine but every time I ordered this cinnamon roll it's burnt! Don't do it!

This was amazing! Boyfriend approves and cannot wait to come back! Love the neighbor it is in with a ton of boutique shops for you to gander (in case there's a wait). They have a small parking lot in front, but if you come early or later for lunch, there are ample parking on the street. We got lucky and didn't have to wait. We got even luckier getting the seats on the wall. We were able to people watch, bar watch, and everything watch. We didn't know, but it's like a few restaurants combined into one! Love the concept of this. The menu served both Denver Biscuit and Fat Sully's for some 'za (pizza). We both quickly gave in for the The Elmer 2.0 because of the pork belly! We added a basket of fries to share in case we needed a little something extra, but I was wrong. The biscuit was huge!!! Overflowing! It was bigger than any burger I've ordered. My boyfriend stopped talking to me and went to town with his biscuit. I took my time planning a strategic wait to tackle it, but at the end I just went for it. Finger licking and napkins were used after every bite. The BBQ sauce, the homemade pickles balances the biscuit and the juicy pork belly. I've added some of their ghost pepper hot sauce for an extra kick. It took me a while to make my way through the biscuit, until it looked like I deconstructed it lol. I was definitely stuffed, overfilled with goodness. Before I even finished, my boyfriend is planning his next visit. Will definitely be coming back and trying other biscuit combos!

In Denver with my friends for a quick trip. Convinced them to come to Denver Biscuit Co (been here once before). Love the options and their biscuits are AWESOME!!! This time got the K-Mack and my buddies got the Lola x2, Tomahawk and DBC. All were delicious and huge portions of food. Love that they have self-service unlimited coffee and we enjoyed choosing our mugs. Fun atmosphere with lots of seating and great friendly staff. Excellent for breakfast/brunch, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This place is definitely a vibe. The wait was about 15 minutes on a Monday morning. Our service was a bit slow but they have games here so the time goes by a bit faster. I got the Dahlia with the impossible sausage. Wow it was so delicious - the fluffy biscuit with the egg and the sausage was just amazing. Plus the apple butter added the perfect sweetness. It was drenched in syrup as well. My only note was that the biscuit way overpowered the filling - would be nice to have more on the inside.

I've always gone to the location off Broadway so it was fun checking out this location! There will always be a wait it seems but ppro tip: you can join the waiting list online. There is a small parking lot and lots of street parking around! The good was great (of course), our waiter was terrific, and the adult beverages were so tasty. Next time, I'll def have to try out the pizza slices. They smelt amazing!

I gotta say- DBC is worth the wait! And trust me, there's a wait everyday for these monster biscuit sandwiches and it's super busy inside. I got The Franklin (must add the egg!) and wow it was seriously so good. I ate the whole thing but I definitely didnt need to eat again until almost dinner time lol. Can't wait to go back and try and another sandwich but I'm full all over again just typing out this review! I don't know about DBC being a every day or every week kind of spot, but if you got friends or family in town this is definitely a place to take them to to experience!

The Denver Biscuit Company is the place to go when you have a huge appetite! Servings are over the top! Everything is delicious (especially the biscuits). One visit recently my friend ordered the strawberry shortcake biscuit and said it was yummy. I visit their location at Stanley Marketplace. It's noisy, busy and the wait to be seated can get long - and worth it. Once you're in, service has always been great and food prompt and wonderful. Great place for brunch!

2 words: Mushroom gravy. Trust me. Biscuits were great, lots of fun flavor combinations, and quick service! This place is successful for a reason.

Overall solid brunch! We went with a group of 4 around 10am on a Monday and there was still a little 20 minute wait. (I highly recommend joining their waitlist before you arrive to get promptly seated). They stop serving biscuits Monday - Friday at 2pm and Saturday/Sunday at 3pm. Pros: - walk in and you can grab a coffee cup for bottomless coffee for $3.50! - a biscuit sandwich is pretty big! You may not need any sides at all - highly recommend sharing the giant cinnamon roll for a yummy sweet bite! It's decently big (but idk why I thought it'd be bigger lol) - 5/5 rating. I had the Lola sub biscuit French toast (aka French toast style) and I'm not sure it was worth it (for an additional $3.50) because I didn't feel like the French toast biscuit added anything or tasted like French toast. It was really overall sweet because of all the maple syrup. I wish there was more fried chicken or a larger piece to match the massive biscuit, which I couldn't finish - rate it a 3.5. My husband had the Franklin and the regular biscuit was nice and fluffy and didn't overwhelm the sandwich- I felt like it had a better balance. He added a sunny side egg and got it Nashville hot, which added a nice kick - rate it a 5/5. We were truly stuffed so I'm glad we didn't get any waffle fries, but they did look good on the adjacent tables. Next time for sure! Highly recommend the Tennyson location as well since there's some cute walkable stores/shops to walk around and will be back to try some other biscuits next time! Or I heard when they turn into Fat Sully's pizza it's a great dinner option!

The food came out really good! Definitely loved the strawberry shortcake it tasted great, the presentation could have been better but taste is much more important and they nailed it I also got the Franklin and added scrambled eggs. It's was good and a good option to get a lot for what you pay for. Overall it's a solid brunch spot that I'd go to again.

Hip and trendy place with the most delicious and gigantic biscuits i have ever seen. Their food is so flavorful and portions are massive. They have this two restaurant type of vibes where they also have pizza and fries but predominantly most of everything are biscuits. They have boardgames for you to play (they are big on Battleship). They have self served coffee which is absolutely amazing!! The server was super friendly and happy. They have televisions to watch games. Just overall a great place and probably why everyone weites reviews.

While this experience is fresh in my mind, I need to say you must come here if you're visiting. This place blew my expectations out of the water. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. The portions are huge and the food is so good. I appreciate the bottomless, self serve coffee as well. If I wasn't pregnant, I would have definitely tried a cocktail. Hopefully next time I'm back in Denver I can partake! 10/10 would recommend. Also, Nikki, you're the best. Thanks for being awesome. :)
