DBC is a Colorado staple & the perfect hangover brunch. Be ready to come in with an appetite because the portions are hefty.
I've been to a bunch of their locations, but the one on Tennyson is my go-to. There's a small parking lot out front and plenty of street parking. At this point I think I've had everything on the menu, but the Franklin is for sure my #1. Buttermilk fried chicken (yes), tenderbelly bacon (yes), cheddar cheese (yes), smothered in your choice of gravy (OH HELL YES). Be sure to add on a runny egg as that completes the meal. Their mushroom gravy is crazy good. I still opt for 1/2 and 1/2 so that I get a taste of the sausage gravy too, but that mushroom gravy has such great depth of flavor that I could dunk an old shoe in it and still find it delicious.
If you're a fan of their gravy, def get the Sully's Fries - waffle fries with bacon, pimento cheese, green onions and smothered in gravy. Yummmmm.
Now listen, are there better biscuits out there? Yeah. Theirs are on the denser side, but they serve as the perfect vehicle to hold all of that decadent goodness in between.
The place does get busy, especially on the weekends so putting your name on the waitlist is the best move. They have a self-serve coffee station with a pick-your-own mug deal which is a cool touch.
If you're looking for a belly-busting brunch that's a good bang for your buck, then DBC is the place to go.
Breakfast is served until 2pm M-F and until 3pm on Sat-Sun. They have a full bar and their pizza concept Fat Sully's offers lunch/dinner starting at 11am.
