Food is okay, and actually the starter chicken liver brulee starter was very interesting and very delicious. The waiter was kind, but he didn't speak a lot of English so there were some communication issues. Also a lot of the items on the menu were not able to be ordered. And it took a long time to get the food. Too long.

We waited almost two hours for our food, even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. We had a few drinks while waiting, but this is definitely not a good spot if you’re hungry and looking to have a proper dinner. The food itself wasn’t great, and communication with the server in English was also difficult. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place for dining, but if you’re just looking to have a few drinks, it might be okay.

It’s really neat that this cafe is owned by a famous Hungarian psychiatrist that loves whiskey, Dr. Imre Csernus. You can eat breakfast there in the morning until 11:30am and then they switch to a lunch menu. The tables by the window offer a nice view of Castle of Eger and Dobó István Square. It can be great for people watching. I arrived by train in the morning, so I stopped by for an espresso and a bacon, cheddar cheese, and fried egg bagel! It was really yummy and a great way to kick off a day of wine tasting in lovely Eger!

The name of the restaurant reflects the mood of one of the waiters. But I have to admit that the goulash was really good. I recommend visiting this place if you are an introverted person and you don't like pushy waiters who don't even ask if you liked the food. A tip is added, or even two for bringing food and drinks.

Good drinks, nice view of Eger, but the service is pretty bad. Recommended for the views, it feels bad to pay service costs for no service. Like really zero service.

Nice place, lovely interior and atmosphere which soft/jazzy music helps to lift even further! Their latte was nice, both visually and taste-wise, however the eggs were a bit too simple, would've expected a variety of mushrooms in it, was ok tho'. All in all, it's a nice place, would recommend/visit again 🙂

A really pleasant surprise in the center of Eger. The design of the place is cool, view towards the main square, very good coffee and great food. Fine dining like dishes, quality ingredients and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely going back to this place.

Great. It’s a beautiful spot right in the centre of town — with a view to the castle and the dome of Eger. Serves excellent food for breakfast and brunch, also the teas and juices were great. It’s owned by Dr Csernus — a well-know author of books in psychology, and lover of great spirits. They have an excellent selection of high quality rums ans whiskeys, also available in their hometown of Noszvaj next by.
