Der Öschberghof (Donaueschingen, Baden-Wurttemberg) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Der Öschberghof exists at a crossroads of sorts: Black Forest natural grandeur on one side, stately Swiss heights on another, and the border-straddling Lake Constance on yet another. They take good advantage of the grounds, too, with no fewer than three golf courses and a sprawling wellness complex. Rooms come in a sophisticated grayscale with private balconies to boot. And from farther afield in France, a pair of MICHELIN Stars adorn the fine-dining restaurant, Ösch Noir." - Tablet Hotels

For the first time, I was sorry to go home from a holiday. I found myself so well in this resort, that I would really have stayed for a long time. Beautiful structure, very well furnished and finished, excellent the room, perfect service, very kind and friendly staff. 3 golf courses, heated swimming pool, spa, excellent restaurants, really difficult to find something wrong. And as I repeat, I was sorry to have to leave the resort. Der Öschberghof, 5 starled stars .

Wonderful resort, ambience and golf course. What stood out: Even as non-typical customers, just passing by for a quick round of golf with dirty shoes and dumb questions, you are taken seriously and valued as if you are a high-paying guest of the resort! Whenever I have this type of money, this resort will definitely deserve it. Way to make a great impression!

After hearing from many sources that the Öschberghof is a great hotel, we wanted to try it out for ourselves. We booked one night in mid-August. It was a weekend, so we naturally expected a lot of people, but that shouldn't be a problem at a hotel that calls itself one of the 101 best hotels.|We arrived at noon and received a friendly welcome, but of course, our room wasn't ready. We then went to Donaueschingen and had a quick lunch there.|Back at the hotel, we were looking forward to the pool, which we wanted to enjoy in the nice weather. However, we received an email the day before our arrival stating that the pool area was unfortunately no longer accessible after 5:00 PM. We did not like that, as when we booked this was not announced anywhere. As we complained they offered us a small bottle of champagne in return. |However, at he pool we detected it was quite a small pool overcrowded with many people and already at 2:00 PM they started to do the setup work for the party later in the afternoon which we found annoying. Furthermore, the outdoor pool was completely full at that time because it is far too small for a hotel with 111 rooms. The number of loungers by the pool are also completely inadequate, and many of them had towels laid out but weren't occupied. It somehow brought back memories from the Balearic Islands, where this sort of thing apparently also happens - but we are staying at a hotel that calls themselves one of the best hotels…...|In a pinch, we retreated to the indoor pool (which is really spacious). But it was unbearable there because the kids were making such a racket.|There's no restroom in the upper pool area either, so I had to go back downstairs for that - also there are no visible signs where the restrooms are. |In our opinion, this doesn't meet a five-star standard, and it's certainly not one of the 101 best hotels. We think it deserves 4 stars, but not 5. |We're glad we only booked one night to test it out; if we had booked two or three nights, we would have been pretty annoyed. On another note we must say, that all staff was very friendly and helpful.|So far for testing Öschberghof, but this test was never what we expected and definitely not worth more than 500 EUR – the room didn't even have a balcony for that price.

Best resort in Europe. Best food, hospitality, clean rooms, comfy beds, strong showers, the focus on tiniest details I ever seen in hotel. Very polite stuff, professional and helpful. Food is another level of quality. Kids friendly

Stopped by the Day Bar for something small to eat. Ordered the club sandwich which was a real treat, best one I've had in ages. They do three versions of the club, so, something for everyone.

Wow what a place! The hotel is with good reason one of the best hotels on this planet! Starting from the check in to the checkout, everything has been perfect! The spa, gym and especially the restaurant + breakfast have been our highlights!

Extraordinary hotel. I loved my stay in one of the Premium Rooms and enjoyed the rich breakfast buffet. The spa is also amazing, with many different saunas to choose from and the outdoor pool offering a relaxing view. Service is top notch as well.

Not a baby friendly hotel - They’ll tell you that you can enjoy the spa with the baby but when you actually go there, they kick you outta spa - “Adult Zone” New policy 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ Wasting time and money
