This motel has great amenities and prices with clean rooms, plenty of TV channels. Outdoor entrances to rooms. Breakfast is more than continental with eggs, biscuits and gravy along with plenty of cereal choices. I was impressed with this place. Another motel up the street has a more extensive breakfast and indoor pool with workout room, but if that's what you want, you'll pay that price, compared to the pricing here. Impressive to me. Always book months out if you can, for the best prices locked in.

I would stay again. The rooms were reasonably priced, especially compared to others. The bed had crisp, clean sheets. The room ammendies were adequate. There was a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee in the room. The soap was very small, and only one bar. The bath towels were a bit worn. The T.V. was good and had a lot of choices to choose from. The breakfast bar left a lot to be desired. The breakfast consisted of ALL CARBS. Cereal, bread, waffles, bagels, and muffins. There was no fruit, no yogurt, no eggs, or bacon. I had to ask for butter. Otherwise, it was just jelly or peanut butter for the toast. I really believe they should have at least had hard-boiled eggs and / or a few pieces of fruit. That was basically the only downside of staying there. But I wasn't there really for breakfast. More for the price. So I was satisfied. I would stay there again and probably will.

Room was decent. and quite clean, although older. Location is great. Some road noise which is to be expected. They advertise their store to have much to choose from, however, very little selection and everything expensive. Buy your snacks or whatever before you come. Staff was my problem. I called ahead to check on some details about room. Girl who answered did not even know what they had for breakfast, what kind of coffeemaker was in room, etc. She was short with me and not accommodating. I called the 2nd day I arrived to ask housekeeper to bring me tissues and more coffee pods, and was told to find where she was with her cart and get them myself. And just a side note . Go out and get your coffee in the morning. The coffee maker and pods are the cheapest you could buy, and the coffee was like water, even using two pods.

We spent the weekend in Shipshewana for a holiday craft sale and stayed at this motel. It was right outside the town, which is a fascinating Amish town full of markets, stores, shops, and restaurants. The room was super clean and convenient to get to and from the craft fair. We world definitely stay here again.

Room was so, so. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was horrible. There were sausages that seemed uncooked (color), their eggs tasteless, and tots were not cooked properly. Only enough seating for around 10, very closed in area. Staff, both times same person morning and evening acted as though we were a bother to her. This is very unacceptable especially when i rent 2 rooms and give them my business.

Google
Positive: Location Negative: Supposed to be cleaned everyday. They were cleaned only on the first day and we stayed 4 nights. Had to get towels and amenities from the office because of this.

Google
Positive: The location Negative: Thin walls. We could hear lots of noise both outside (garbage truck at 6:30 a.m.) and a dog from neighbor's room

Some people fly the economy airline and then complain about not having the amenities of an Air France 1st class trans Atlantic flight on an A-380 with shower and bed. We Americans are sometimes entitled, spoiled, lazy, arrogant, demanding and clueless.

Yelp
No hand soap. Marginal decor Night clerk bare chested with shorts Not worth the cost $120 + tax, one queen bed.

Yelp
the room air conditioning was turned OFF when we checked in at 4 o'clock and it took most of the night to cool off, meaning poor sleep. The unit was very noisy and not cooling well at all. Also, the exhaust fan in the bath sounded as though it might fall right out of the ceiling! Remind me not to use a third party booking company located in the Netherlands!

Yelp
Do Not Go Here !!! The owner arbitrarily cancels reservations and there are only 3 motels in Shipshewana. If he cancels you there is no place else to go. You are screwed. I had the print out of my booking.com reservation but there were no rooms left. If someone without a reservation comes in he gives away your room and cancels your reservation. The owner is a crook.

Yelp
Great place to stay for a quiet nights sleep on a comfortable bed. Our room was immaculate and appeared to be newly remodeled. Refrigerator and microwave, iron and full ironing board in the room. In walking distance or short driving to all the main shopping, flea market, and restaurants. All on one level which is ideal for seniors.

Yelp
Very disappointed from last visit. First clue should have been when the check-in clerk sneezed all over without covering her mouth or saying excuse me! Did not sleep well that evening between the heater fan being noisy and the hard mattress and pillows. Water pressure was low for morning shower. Breakfast was suppose to be served starting at 7am (we had an appointment at 8 am in town), Office/serving area was not open, rang door bell several times and finally had to leave without breakfast. Do not plan on staying there again on our next visit! My suggestion is to stay at other hotels in the area that are much nicer for the same amount of money.

Yelp
Nice little hotel in Shipshewana. Clean rooms, free wifi, free breakfast, nice location. Would definitely stay here again. It was neat to hear the clopping of the Amish horse and buggies go by.

Yelp
It was clean and had the basics but don't plan to stay here again. The AC never got the humidity out of the air. Also all but one light shuts off on their own. There is no way to keep them on unless you get up and turn it back on every few minutes. I've never experienced these kind of lights in a motel before. And the bed is too high.

Yelp
The gentleman checking us in was very unfriendly. The walls were paper thin and we could very clearly hear our neighbors. The lights would randomly go on and off. We wouldn't be touching the tv remote and and it would unmute on its own. We were given a handicap room with no tub. Couldn't take a bath. I've never had to say please don't give me a handicap room. Thought that is who it would be reserved for. Breakfast....if you want cereal it's ok. I wouldn't stay here again. The room itself was ok. I had fun with a friend.

Yelp
So many things to say. I'm at a loss for words. First and freaking foremost, the people at the front office SUCK. I called five days ago to make a reservation and I was speaking with a man at the front, who had a very thick accent and I couldn't understand, and I wanted an email confirmation so I could make sure I didn't lose my money. He said we don't do emails, we just look up by phone number so I went ahead and booked the room. We checked in on Friday evening and things were fine. We were with a baby who drinks milk at night so we bought a half gallon of milk to put into the mini refrigerator. He drank two cups of milk and in the middle of the night we realized he was covered in poop. Then a few hours later he was vomiting everywhere. Come to find out the stupid refrigerator wasn't plugged in. That means he drank two cups of SPOILED MILK! When I went to try to talk to the guy about it at the front, he claims that there is supposed to be a note on the front of the refrigerator that says you need to plug it in. Obviously there was not a note or we would have plugged it in because no one wants to see a two-year-old vomit, poop, and cry uncontrollably! When I told him about the sick child he shrugged his shoulders and walked away from the counter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly don't have any words for the kind of human being that he has. He's useless, he's doing a terrible job, and he literally sucks more than anybody else in this world. Please spend the money and go to a nice place. If we ever make it back here again, you better believe I'm going to be walking in there and having a conversation with him.

Yelp
Ok, let's put this 4-star review in to context. We were just looking for a simple place to stay the night after a day of Amish country sightseeing (obviously not my idea). When we pulled in the parking lot, I told my grandma I was sleeping in the car. I'm kind of a hotel snob, and I had a baaaaad feeling about this. Once we checked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was a tad outdated, but super clean. There was cable (surprise!!!) but very basic, and no movie channels. I did have the continental breakfast in the morning. It was your standard fruit, muffins, cereal, and waffles. Although it wasn't really amazing, it was nice, clean, and well-stocked. So, the reason for 4 stars? Compared to what I thought it was going to be, and what it could have been, I was happy. There is a large hotel down the road with a water park and I'm SO glad we didn't stay there. For a great price we got a very clean, quiet, and comfortable room.

Yelp
My wife an I stayed here for a couple of days last month. They were in the process of renovations to the roof. We were in no way inconvenienced. The rooms are clean, the owners / management were very friendly. There was the typical continental breakfast with hot biscuits and gravy that looked good. Unless you need to impress someone, this place is a very good deal for your money. Whenever we are in Shipshewana, we will be staying here.

Yelp
We recently spent two nights and was very disappointed. The management was more concerned with their expense than customer service. We requested maid service for the second day. You had to request it! The carpet was not swept, they did not replace the drinking glasses, shampoo or Kleenex. The WIFI was sporatic and the office was no help. For over $100 a night, we certainly expected more.

Yelp
This place has been given the worst rating of the five motels in quaint little Shipshewana, and there's a reason for that! The name and website promise a bit of the Amish experience, but the new ownership introduces you to a different culture (think curry). First impressions: Kid's bikes are strewn around the entrance, there are several caged birds chirping a little too close to the breakfast bar for comfort, and the small room which serves as reception area, breakfast bar and gift shop is messy, overcrowded and in need of a good vacuuming. Does this county have a health department? The room I stayed in was cramped, with very small bathroom and toilet. The bathtub seemed custom-made for a Munchkin. The lightbulbs had been replaced with what seemed like 40 or even 15-watt bulbs. It was impossible to read in the room. The window didn't open, but somehow there were flies in the room. The power went out in town the night I was there, due to an electrical storm. The staff of other motels in town knocked on doors to warn folks of a possible tornado and taught them how to take precautions. No such warnings or help at this place. I reluctantly had to leave the motel (I am Oxygen-dependent at night) so I could plug in my machine, and checked out some two hours after I arrived. The owner refused me a refund. So much for the personal consideration of a mom and pop motel! This place is the best recommendation for any of the other motels in Shipshewana. I hope to come back to Amish country again, as I have before, but absolutely never to this place.

Yelp
This is the nicest motel I have ever stayed in! The room was a little dated, but it was impeccably clean!!! The bed was comfortable and I slept great! The motel is located in a very peaceful area. Only once in a while do you hear an Amish family coming by in their horse drawn carriage. The breakfast was fine. Muffins, cereal, waffles and sausage and biscuits! The price was great! We got a 15%discount for staying on a Wednesday night.
