Dera Rawatsar Heritage Hotel

Stayed here over New year. Very helpful staff. Comfortable room. Nice to relax near the pool (a tad cold in December/January. Tortoises ere popular with our daughter. Food was good, homely menu. Room was very comfortable but could perhaps benefit from a bit more power in the shower. I'm a bit sensitive to lights and there was a small one near the door that was a bit bright, and Jaipur bus station is quite noisy so did have to use eye mask and earplugs. Nearby peacock restaurant was good and a white knuckle tuk tuk ride away.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property. The entire place has a beautiful heritage feel, which was exactly what we were looking for in Rajasthan. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful with a smooth check-in process. We were assigned a private car with a chauffeur named Kushal, who truly made our experience exceptional. He took us to all the major sights, gave us great local food recommendations, and even arranged a knowledgeable guide to help us explore the attractions more easily. Kushal was friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile, making our trip completely stress-free and enjoyable. Overall, our stay at this hotel was amazing, and the service, especially from Kushal, made it truly memorable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a heritage experience with outstanding hospitality.

This is a lovely quirky old building with lots of character in a residential street not far from busier streets of Jaipur. A friendly welcome with a drink and quick check in took care of formalities. |We had a huge room (209) with a pretty balcony overlooking the courtyard. Bed was comfy with cris sheets and extra blankets which were required as it was cold when we were in Jaipur. The pillow w as too high for me personally and there was no other choice I’m aware of. Bathroom was large with good shower. Hot water switch needed turning in 15mins before required shower but that’s no problem. The room was chilly as only heated by a tiny electric heater. Tea and coffee in the room and a small searing are at one end.|The staff were excellent and the dinners extremely good. We had traditional dishes the first night and more European the second but all were tasty and well cooked. Breakfast was eggs cooked what ever way required. Fruit, cereal and yogurt. No complaints at all and they boxed us a small breakfast to go for the next day as we had a stupidly early onward flight.|A good and comfy and affordable place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Dera Rawatsar. It has the advantage of being centrally located in Jaipur, while also being tucked away from the chaos and noise of the nearby streets. The customer service was absolutely outstanding: all of the employees were very friendly and attentive and served our every need in a timely and thoughtful manner. The room we stayed in was comfortable, spacious, and beautiful. Our only complaint was that the room would become quite cold, since we were staying in January. The attached restaurant was also a godsend. There were multiple options on the menu to please every palate, and they were very willing to accommodate any requests to reduce or add spice, etc. We truly felt like royalty staying here and would recommend Dera Rawatsar to anyone visiting Jaipur!

We absolutely loved our stay, waking up to parrots singing outside our beautiful balcony. The room was very large and decorated with a beautiful wooden armoir and other furnishings. It was very quiet, which we appreciated. The flowers, lit up patio and pool were all really nice. Staff were all friendly and very accommodating. We were easily able to get tuk tuks or picked up for our tours by taxi. Highly recommend if you want beautiful accommodations that are quiet and away from the hustle and bustle.

However, the hotel’s kitchen is quite small with a very limited menu. The food prices are on the higher side, and while the taste is acceptable, it’s nothing exceptional. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment—poor in taste, limited in variety, and refilling was notably slow. Despite being marketed as a heritage property, the hotel lacks the true heritage or royal ambiance one might expect. For ₹14,000 for a two-night stay (including breakfast), the experience doesn’t justify the cost. The location is also not ideal, being close to a busy bus stand, which affects the overall atmosphere. Ratings: Room: 10/10 Service: 5/10 Food: 6/10 Location: 3/10 Staff: 7/10 Overall: A decent stay if you prioritize room comfort, but not a good value for money considering the food quality and lack of heritage charm.

Beautiful old villa, a haven of quietness behind a busy bus station. The pool is great for a quick dip after or before sightseeing. We got a room upgrade and stayed in a large, spotlessly clean suite with all amenities and the most comfortable beds I ever slept in :-) Staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast buffet plentiful with many Indian and Western choices. Would definitely book again!

Charming stay with Great staff. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. The cleanliness throughout the property is impressive, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The spacious rooms ensure a comfortable stay, and the breakfast options are delightful. While the facilities are good, they could use a bit more variety, but the pool is a nice touch for relaxation. Overall, a lovely experience worth considering.
