Creative and varied food, gluten free options well labelled - a safe place for vegans and coeliacs/celiacs alike! Tasty drinks and I loved the bell for service, it made the restaurant experience so much better - i wish it was like this everywhere!! We’ll be back

Being vegan and having a gluten free diet is really difficult when you travel. I have visited other vegan restaurants in my city but unfortunately they ONLY replace meat alternatives with gluten or beyond burger. I thought that it was impossible to find a restaurant with the concept “ eat clean” +vegan +allergen friendly. De raíz really fulfilled all my expectations! The food is not only DELICIOUS but also most of them is gluten free. Our server was so nice and he was really knowledgeable of the food! I was so fascinated with the menu that I wanted to try everything! The mandarin juice and the yuca croquettes filled with oyster mushrooms were so flavorful as entries. The main course was the Indian style rice and I added a side of oyster mushrooms. I was SCRUMPTIOUS! I also try the eggplant manicotti and it was so delicious! Finally I tried three different desserts. I asked the very berry cheesecake for me and it was so yummy. My family asked lemon matcha, and chocolate cake (this one was not gluten free) they did like them too! Thanks De Raíz for thinking about healthy vegan and allergen friendly food!

Excellent! Best spot for vegan food in Bogota. The Indian rice is really great and accompanied with the quesadillas was a lovely match.

I’m not angry, I’m disappointed. I came to this restaurant 3 years ago and left a glowing review (see below). Sadly, since then things have changed, and not for the better. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a burger, arancini and two cakes. The burger was dry and tasteless, the arancini divine, and the cakes (when they both finally arrived - took two goes) were delicious albeit very expensive. Ok, burgers don’t travel well, and admin errors happen all the time, I thought. Let’s try eating in. I was the first there and the staff looked inconvenienced by my arrival. I was told to use a digital menu (absolutely fine in these times) but when I came to order was told many of those items weren’t available. Ok. Latte and two pastries then. The waiter making the coffee filled the portafiller with pre-ground coffee (I can only assume from last night) then proceeded to burn the milk to oblivion (no hand on the jug to check temperature). It was undrinkable, and regrettably I became that guy who told them so, but if I’m paying 8,000 COP for a coffee, it damn well better be drinkable. Do they not try their own products? To their credit, they offered me a new one. I didn’t trust them enough to warm the milk, so an americano for me. A token grind to add to the quarter full container, then a pretty basic americano. I like café devoción - if they saw the lack of devotion to their brand here, they would flip. Pastries to save the day? Nope. Not by a long shot. Dry, over-salted, greasy. Before we conclude, let’s see what me of two years ago had to say… “Some of the best food in Bogotá. Highly recommend the lasagna, and make sure you save space for dessert! Will be coming back here for sure!” Wow, what a fall from grace. This place reeks of what happens when you hit a peak, and take it for granted that standard will be maintained. Judging from the other reviews, the 5-stars all seem to be from years ago - similar to my previous review. The recent ones are less impressed, and rightly so. Disappointing.

Completely Vegan menu, delicious food and drinks, Ravioli is a delight, and the deserts are excellent!

In general the food was good, but kind of expensive for what it is. Some plates are great, however some of them are not and lack flavor, size or complexity.

Best vegetarian and vegan around. Most vegan and vegetarian places around are too low key, even depressing. This is a bright, new cozy and modern place. Great food and lovely service. You must try the Carbon-activated lemonade, the home made baked chips and salsa... It' creative and tasty.

amazing vegan place! lots of options, but the homemade veggie burger was great and so was the banana cake. they also have local vegan products for sale like protein powders and bars and chocolate. must try! *tried the homemade ginger beer and thought it was way too sweet, but that could have just been personal preference*
