Quality of food is oke, can be better. Starters were to share but not enough for everybody to taste everything. Due to presentation little hard to see what you eat. Wild Boar had a strange garnish. Sauce to go with this game was good. Dessert was too strange in terms of taste. Nice staff and a nice place which good do with some more room between tables.

This interesting restaurant by the modern industrial look serves creative dishes and cocktails that use an extensive knowledge in fermented ingredients. They propose a menu of complex recipes and the majority of their dishes are prepared in the beautiful over at the center of the restaurant. It's a pity they are going to close soon for a new chapter.

We went to Dertien to try it out through a Dining City 4-course deal (€40 pp) two weeks ago. While the dishes were delicious, I didn't leave the restaurant feeling full whatsoever. I wouldn't pay the full price, unless you want a fancy lunch. PS: I know that employees are hard to come by these days for restaurants, but I still expect restaurants to keep those who are employed up to a hygienic standard for their guests. The girl who served us had extremely long acrylic nails, which didn't look very appealing/appetising when serving us the food. She had trouble serving and picking up plates due to those nails. I have worked in hospitality before, this is highly unacceptable.

A little pricy but very great food, they cook seasonal, local and organic ingredients, and they are more than happy to tell you how the food is prepared and should you have any allergies they are open to make alterations to the dish to suit you. It's also an interesting experience seeing your food made. Overall the service is great, food is exceptional, and the atmosphere is wonderful!

Short: Go to restaurant for couples or small groups looking to have biological dishes made from local ingredients, friendly and knowledgeable staff, in a cozy retro styled restaurant. This cozy restaurant in central Rotterdam serves local and biological food. Interior was retro styled. As soon as you step in you feel like entering someone's home. Guests enjoying some drinks at the bar and another group enjoying their food quietly in the middle of the restaurant while staff was almost discretely working on drinks and dishes. We were offered places at the bar or a table by our friendly host. Even though the place was not big at all, we could privately have our conversation without feeling that anyone was eavesdropping or feeling too loud. Instead of having a boring menu card, Dertien has a menu on the wall behind the bar on long wooden shelves with wooden tiles (check my pictures). It's original and fun. Prices are fair considering the ingredients. Our host found a great balance between helpful and privacy, only reaching out at the right moments. We had mackerel & tartar as starters and chicken & candied peel as mains. Most of their dishes are prepared on their wood oven or grill, which also takes a prominent place in the restaurant. Although dishes looked good, I personally missed a bit of more prominent taste in both starters and mains. I overheard our host telling other guests that they change the menu every week, so perhaps we'll try it again at our next visit. All in all a great evening and place to visit. Randomly walked into this restaurant and never heard of it before after living here 2 years. Was fantastic and reasonably priced for the quality and atmosphere. Was a Friday night and other restaurants around were full but don’t be turned off if it’s not very busy. It’s worth it! Had the lamb and it was fantastic!

Great place to have dinner. Very nice food. Little asian influence. Would recommend their vegetables dishes!

It's amazing! A great place just around the corner of Witte de With Straat. Great food, with a lot of different tastes. We went there for the brunch/lunch on Saturday. It was stunning: veggie, cheese, meat, eggs were all combined in delicious 3 combinations and with such a great result. The price was fair 13€ for 3 dishes coffee and water included (wine not!) The staff is very kind and the location is charming and welcoming with old style kitchen instruments. Loved it!

Lucky or unlucky 13 this place was up for a visit on the long list and my did it deliver its promise of my last visit to owner pepijns place eendracht years ago. The ambiance is hip relaxed but not too informal as the decor is lot of earthen toned woods and the sorts. The huge board dictates the changing menu and although limited choice the combinations on offer are mouthwatering. I settled for mackarel which was lightly smoked and came back with apple , a venison stew with the mashed potatoes straight from butter heaven and a surprise of hidden golden beetroot, and the sorts in the stews dark lush goodness. Finished it off with a stunning stout fig and chocolate sorbet desert and it all was accompanied by a bottle of chilled du fleurie Beaujolais. Special mention goes to their sommelier who's service skills are ones that should be thought appreciated and enjoyed...he really made the dinner which was a celebration even better. Lucky 13 it is for this restaurant walk in and enjoy ...even safe on Friday the 13th ;)

This place was highly recommend by a local colleague but unfortunately I cannot endorse it. Service was quick enough but the veal was unremarkable. My choice of beer was ghastly and the waitress did not warn me (an undrinkable ipa). Credit cards were not accepted, only debit cards that foreigners don't have. Fortunately I had cash, but the waitress had to get change from her purse!
