The atmosphere here is terrific. Middle of nowhere and there is not much competition about but we were very happy to come into a nice warm hotel with beautiful food served up. It's a bit expensive, but we were staying the night on their block, so I figured it was only fair to eat here also. The fireplaces were roaring, and the lodge like construction was beautiful. Mains dinner meals are mid-30s, and a pint and a glass of wine is $30.

This place is so awesome. You must stop. We were here in Winter. There was snow everywhere. I am so impressed. Food. Customer experience was all 100%

Staff were fantastic, we were late in driving up from Hobart but staff kept the kitchen open for us. The seafood chowder and spare ribs were fantastic. Atmosphere lovely and open fire place is enormous!! Well worth a stop over on your way to Strahan

Being the off season we weren’t sure about if the website hours would be correct, we phoned up to book a table for us while we were driving from a few hours away, they weren’t staying open til when we were due to arrive however they so kindly offered to have our meals ready in takeaway plus drinks, we camped the night out the front (self contained vehicles allowed), there was a toilet block across the road too. The meals were lovely, and inside looked like a beautiful warm atmosphere to enjoy a meal and a drink if you get the chance

Thought the reviews were joking but can confirm the Sri Lankan curry was delicious. Outstanding even. After a long day coming down from the cap it’s really hit the spot. Shout out Zaiden for the stellar service and happy go lucky demeanour.

Had a Salmom dish with a Beer near a beautiful warm fireplace making for a cosy lunch after visiting The Wall up the road.

Fantastic genuine Sri Lankan lunch ( lots of other standard fare available, but this was worth the stop for sure!!) Gluten free options and kids’ menu available as well. Lovely old pub and friendly attentive service. Pool tables and big fireplace gave the kids something to do.

We stopped over night during our trip to the west coast. Very cozy place, good food, clean and friendly staff. In the morning we went to see “the wall”. Which was few metres from there.

Yelp
Easy to see they don't rely on repeat business. Had high hopes when they say their signature dish is a steak one (King Billy). I didn't need that much (or to spend $57!) but chose the porterhouse. With only 3 other tables on a Sunday night it took over 30-mins to serve us and 'blamed' the porterhouse as the reason! It came out presented very strangely and absolutely flooded by broccoli and cauliflower and drowning in a pepper sauce you couldn't really taste. The pork belly was burnt (although crunchy) and came with a Sri Lankan rice and the same vegetables as the porterhouse which seemed strange,

Yelp
Yum. Just yum. Fair prices, awesome building. Expected high prices and sub par food for a place that can easily lock you in. Not so. Super warm from the massive double sided open fire place. Very scenic. Love it!

Yelp
Pretty cool place. Surprisingly good food for what feels like the middle of nowhere. I have been surprised at how pricey dinners are out in the rural areas of Tassie. But the options here are pretty good. The dinner menu was on a chalkboard near the massive brick fireplace. Several good meat and potato options shared by our group. The dining area is a large and vaulted and feels like a hunting lodge. Very relaxed comfortable place to both eat and stay as you travel through Tasmania.
