Derwent Estate Vineyard

Amazing! We dined at the restaurant which had a really nice range of food, delicious and friendly staff. We then went for a wine tasting and cheese board at the cellar door. Jillian and Sandy were very knowledgeable, friendly and genuine. Not a bad wine to taste. Highly recommend the cellar door experience and can’t wait to visit again.

Glad I took my last few hours to try their nice wines offered before end my trip. So conveniently to reach out and some of the wines are just surprisingly taste great. I strongly recommend 2023 cut reisling, 2024 pinot noir and 2024 sauvigon blanc if you are prefer fruity taste, middle sweet wine like me.

This estate is stunning! 100% worth a visit. The views are incredible! We sat outside on a beautiful day and enjoyed the amazing wines. Brilliant winery and a must location to visit!

Update: 10 May 2025 Returned to enjoy once again, a fabulous menu, grand service from Tige and beautiful feasting... Still highly recommend A most enjoyable day sipping, tasting and enjoying local charcuterie and gourmet grazing. I absolutely could have stayed a little longer and sipped a little more.. my favourites though by far was the Pinot matched with the Blue Cheese and the Duck Pate matched with their Sparkling.. Highly Recommend

For locals or visitors, Derwent Estate and its restaurant offers a perfect weekend escape on the shores of the Derwent Valley. It’s an operating vineyard, with an excellent selection of wines and a great tasting room, as well as a fantastic restaurant in the Shed. The restaurant offers a small and very high quality menu, supported by a great wine list, and allows you to dine with views over the vineyard and the Derwent River. We even got to watch the black faced sheep and their lambs frolic in the vineyard close to the restaurant. Plenty of accessible parking, great and attentive staff and comfortable and spacious seating. It’s popular, so you need to book!

We had a lovely tasting experience at Derwent winery. Andrea served us in the cellar door and was fantastic. He was super friendly and attentive, as well as being very knowledgeable. Thank you for a lovely day!

I had a fantastic time at this beautiful vineyard. Andrea, one of the staff members, was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a detailed and engaging insight into the wines and the vineyard itself. The wine was absolutely divine, and the views were simply spectacular. A truly memorable experience!

Had a wonderful time at Derwent Estate, 1st up was the wine tasting. Thank you, Sandy, for a wonderful experience. And then a short stroll over to the shed for lunch. Where do you start... the staff were very welcoming, the food was delicious. It's such a wonderful way to spend a Saturday.
