Desa Hay

My wife and I have been so excited to stay at Desa Hay for our honeymoon for several months and it truly did not disappoint. The attention to detail and design is truly commendable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made sure that our stay would be amazing. They took the time to explain all the specifics of our room and all the amenities. They tailored our check-in with music that we like, special note for the occasion and welcome drinks. The complimentary all you can eat breakfast is a very nice bonus, just need to be careful as you may be tempted to eat too much as the food is fantastic. They offer so many services to make your stay much more enjoyable such as floating breakfast, yoga, laundry, in house massages, and so much more. We loved that they don’t constantly harass you by coming to your room if they need to communicate, they would simply use a whatsapp group chat for anything we needed. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Scott, on our first night. He is such a great guy to speak to along with his wife. Every single staff member is so amazing and their customer service skills are unparalleled. Even the security guard was so very friendly and helped us get out of our Grab and ensured we didn’t leave anything behind. Thank you Desa Hay for making our honeymoon so memorable.

We stayed here for five days during our Christmas vacation. The service was topnotch, and the location is super convenient, just a few minute bike ride to everything. Breakfast was very good, and the morning yoga class was a great way to start the day. The pool area feels like a tropical paradise. While the pool itself isn’t very big, it’s clean, and relaxing. The only downside was the mosquitoes which made it where we couldn’t enjoy the outside most of the time, the staff provided mosquito repellents and spray. If possible, I’d try to avoid traveling between October and January, as it’s rainy season which brings out the bugs. Overall highly recommended!!

I had an amazing stay at Desa Hay. I celebrated my birthday here and it was the perfect choice. They surprised me with an upgrade and a birthday cake, which was so thoughtful. The service and hospitality were incredible — especially from Putri and the whole team. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Bali, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was beautiful. I also really appreciated the complimentary laundry, free minibar drinks, and the special guest gifts. These details truly made the stay memorable. Thank you for making my stay so special. I’ll definitely recommend Desa Hay to everyone and I can’t wait to come back.

I stayed at Desa Hay in Canggu for two nights and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is excellent in every sense. Communication with the staff was smooth and easy through WhatsApp. I celebrated my birthday during my stay, and once they found out, they surprised me with an upgrade and even gifted me a complimentary birthday cake. The way they arranged the room was beautiful and very thoughtful.The room itself had everything I needed and had such a romantic and cozy atmosphere. One of the things I really appreciated was that many items in the minibar were free, and they also offer complimentary laundry service, which was extremely convenient. The hotel’s breakfast and restaurant dishes were delicious—definitely don’t skip the breakfast.I want to say a special thank you to Putri and all the staff. They were so kind, welcoming, and attentive, and they really made me feel taken care of. The location of the hotel is also perfect and peaceful.I highly recommend Desa Hay and I will definitely return again without hesitation.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful new hotel! Everything inside the room felt so fresh, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The staff were truly wonderful - very attentive and always made sure we felt comfortable. The restaurant and breakfasts were excellent - delicious food and great service every morning. We stayed here with my husband and our moms, and everyone was absolutely delighted. We’ve been to Bali before, but this was by far the best and most high-quality experience we’ve ever had here. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a perfect Bali getaway!

Desa Hay Canggu delivered a faultless stay and a truly wonderful few days of relaxation, from the seamless airport pick-up on arrival through to our safe and well-organised transfer to the next destination. From the outset, the experience felt calm, considered and indulgent. The room was beautifully appointed, spacious and immaculately maintained, providing a perfect retreat to unwind. The staff were consistently attentive, warm and genuinely helpful, striking exactly the right balance between professionalism and friendliness. It was the small, thoughtful details that truly elevated the stay. Evening turndown service with chocolates, supplies proactively replenished, and an overall sense that nothing was overlooked. The restaurant was equally impressive, with food that was consistently five-star in both quality and presentation, complementing the relaxed, wellness-focused atmosphere of the property. Overall, Desa Hay Canggu set an exceptionally high standard and will be a very hard act to follow. We loved our stay and would return without hesitation.

Just amazing. The property is great and beautifully put together and the food was superb. What really set Desa Hay apart though, was the service, which was outstanding. Our only (minor) criticism was that the bar closed before 10pm, when it would have been nice to have a night cap after coming back from dinner. 

I rarely leave reviews, but I absolutely have to for Desa Hay. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon, and without a doubt, it was the most fantastic stay either of us have ever experienced. We’ve both traveled all over the world and even came directly from the St. Regis Bali (no shade to them—it was truly incredible as well), but Desa Hay completely stole our hearts. The staff, the villas, the atmosphere, the value—and the FOOD! Everything was beyond exceptional. It truly felt like home in paradise. When we return to Bali, Desa Hay will be the only place we stay.
