Descobertas Boutique Hotel by Aspasios

I stayed at Descobertas Boutique Hotel for one night last week and had a really pleasant experience. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Porto and within walking distance of the river, restaurants, and main attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay feel easy and welcoming. Breakfast selection was really good, a nice way to start the day without being over the top. Overall, this hotel is a solid choice if you’re visiting Porto, great value, great location, and lovely service. I’d definitely recommend it!

Excellent accommodation very close to the river and all the action. The room was ideal for the two of us, and we really enjoyed having air conditioning during the very high temperatures during our 2-night visit. Very friendly and helpful staff with arrangements for restaurants, entertainment and taxis. Breakfast started the day completely.

Our stay at Hotel Descobertas in Porto was fantastic from start to finish, and what truly set it apart was the exceptional service—especially from José. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable, offering great local tips, helping with reservations, and always greeting us with a warm smile. The hotel itself is in a perfect location, right in the heart of the Ribeira district, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The room was clean, stylish, and very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. But again, it’s the people that make the experience memorable—and José absolutely did that for us. Thank you for making our time in Porto even more special. Highly recommended!

Small boutique hotel in a street behind the main street so easy to get everywhere. A bit noisy at night as there are restaurants close by. Friendly staff & lovely rooms. Breakfast also good but they could do with keeping the hot food hot as it was a bit cold. Freshly made omelette each day was a bonus along with fresh rolls & fruit.

Had room 101. Staff very friendly, very clean, room is spacious. Very noisy because this is in a back alley street. Very very very cold even either max heater. Breakfast was great with a wide range of options. The berry compote was fantastic and they have a nice coffee machine to make flat white. Lovely place and wonderful location right in front of the river. Would wish it would be just slightly warmer and less noisy.

Lovely welcome. Room was very comfortable. Excellent shower. Breakfast had many options. Staff very helpful. Lovely city to visit and the hotel is in a great location. We will be back.

Perfect location in Ribeira area but on side street so quiet in evening. Fantastic breakfast (option). Rooms very clean, water very hot for showers. Safe in room. Front desk(especially Jose) very helpful. Only downside was room had small window so found it dark(room 105)

Just an amazing stay. All staff were kind and very helpful with all of our questions. This location is great to see all on the waterfront and amazing views nearby. Breakfast tasty. Rooms clean.

Fantastic location right by the water in the Riberia. Close to restaurants and shopping. Rooms are spacious. Tiny place. Good breakfast. Cars not allowed in the streets so it's very quite. All we heard were seagulls. I'd go back. Staff helpful and friendly.
