DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.
Didn't deliver, left without accommodation, dangerous road driving and ghosted.
To start with our driver never introduced himself or communicated with us at all, we assumed initially this was due to lack of English but as the day developed it was clear he was able to communicate, just chose not to. His driving was aggressive and he had to slam on the breaks numerous times to avoid collisions with other cars. He never wore his seatbelt and continuously used his phone when driving on motorways, sand dunes and every opportunity which made us feel very unsafe.
To conclude this wonderful, once in a lifetime experience of sleeping in the desert, we got to the camp and the staff had not been made aware we were coming and were in no way ready for our arrival. After standing in the sun for ten minutes with our bags and only being told it was all fine when we tried to work out what was happening, we were taken to a dusty, sandy and uncleaned room with no toilet paper or electricity. I in no way blame the man who works at the camp. He was extremely apologetic and kind but made it clear they aren’t set to open for a few more weeks.
So now we head back to Doha, the layover that we extended purely for this experience with no where to sleep and no food to eat. We were fortunately able to book back into our hotel we were in before but for more money as they only had bigger rooms available.
However, they very "generously" refunded us the price of the food and accommodation that we didn't have with a message along the lines of "we will do better next time". When asked for additional refund we were ignored along with follow up messages.
There are so many other companies that do similar experiences. Save yourself the bother!
