"During my first few days, I always make a point to go to Desert Vintage, a great vintage shop that’s thoughtfully curated with super special pieces."

7 Things To Do in Tucson, Arizona, According to Desert Vintage’s Salima Boufelfel | Vogue

"Desert Vintage has now found a loyal following in the likes of Sophie Buhai, Daphne Javitch, and Neada Deters. The store’s enduring appeal lies partly in its extraordinary, cult-worthy curation (its collection of Indian silk caftans could have easily been considered the It item of last summer among a certain creative milieu) and partly thanks to its 6th Avenue headquarters—a warm, welcoming space where vintage Yves Saint Laurent and turn of the century period pieces hang beside a towering plant and Noguchi lanterns." - Zoe Ruffner

I came into Desert Vintage with my entire family in tow, and the experience exceeded all of my expectations. We were warmly greeted, tried on a plethora of gorgeous, unique pieces, and both my mother and I left with a few new things. I can’t say enough good things about how kind the sales assistant was, how much fun we had, and how insanely beautiful all of the clothing was. If you love vintage fashion, this place is not to be missed!

Tried to go in at 1pm on a Sunday and no one was there.

Love their collection however I was in town and reached out to visit the store - they told me the times they would be there but when I arrived the door was locked with no one to be found. I contacted them and received no timely response. Frustrating experience to have when traveling and time is limited

I placed an order 3 months ago and they let my package wonder in limbo and didn’t want to help me at all. I have never seen anything like this! I emailed customer service and social media people and they all ignored me! Absolutely horrible

Google
It's a singular experience. Collectable and rare fashion ITEMS curated in rotation within a painfully chic and dry dreamscape.

Yelp
I don't know-- I love designer vintage but store was locked twice while saying it was open and then I had to knock the second time after an hour of browsing elsewhere. When I was let inside I was hardly greeted at all or engaged with-- none of the clothing really had prices. At all. The entire store has some nice vintage designer pieces but the whole energy was so uninviting.

Yelp
A beautiful store- from the layout to the collection of vintage finds. It's minimalist and curated by true artists. They really have an eye! If you're a vintage enthusiast, 100% add Desert Vintage to your list of local shops. This is among the best.

Yelp
This place is amazing- every time I come to town to visit my parents I make a stop here and always find at least one thing, if not a bag full of treasures- for SO cheap! Last time I bought a vintage pink satin and mirabou robe from Sax 5th Ave. for $17- that magically matched the $12 vintage Parisian pink satin and mirabou mules I bought there the year before! The shop owner has a great eye and the selection and prices are wonderful! Plus I love how they hang items from the porch where they dance in the breeze and lure you in!

Yelp
This is an amazing place to visit and look at for ideas of what style vintage your looking for, but dont expect to find cheap items! Its worth stopping in to look at unique things but if your buying prepare to pay a pretty penny. Also the store is pretty small and most of the clothes tend to be a smaller size so even if it says its the size you wear you may want to try it on to be sure! The quality of items are really great, and everything looks well taken care of, unfortunately at this time in my life i cant afford to consistently shop here hah. The people have always been very friendly while they work and are very knowledgeable about they clothing and things they sell. Stop in, you may just get lucky and find a bargain! 3 stars for friendly service and pure enjoyment of window shopping!

Yelp
My first introduction to Ricardo was at the gypsy Emporium where Diane introduced him as a vintage genius and I remarked but he is too young to be considered vintage . I never visited there 4th ave location and when I met him again they where preparing for the grand relocation opening. I jumped on it and invited myself. The space is very basic simple with natural wood tones and beige being the color and pretty much other than a piece of art this flagship location is all about the somewhat pricey vintage garment. Quality is foremost on my mind when buying vintage goods and as far as I can touch and see,Ricardo has that covered . I understand his co-Partner is more the trend motivator and together they have what is considered the best of the best in vintage. I liked the minimal approach and the wood tones give you great freedom with calendracol venues. Mariachi musicians over powering for room where a very nice touch . My biggest question how do you keep the Resterante smells from vintage clothing? Best of luck to the both of you and I'll be in soon to shop.

Yelp
I have been a big fan of DV and C, for quite some time... like 7 years, why did it take me so long to yelp? IDK But for those who dont know about this little diamond in the rough of 4th shop, its great.... Selction feels limited in the small converted house shop, but the digs you may find are often much better curated than your average used thrift store.... NO in fact a flare for high caliber articles is what sets this place apart, and the staff are helpful to, beacuse honestly there like 10 feet away at all times, its hard to escape anyone in this store.... Prices are fantastic, and the womens selection is pretty effin sweet... Why not get adventurous and slim down an oversized dress or suit, really own the piece and do some upcycleing while your at it...

Yelp
This place had a good selection for being a small store. The pricing is quite reasonable, and the cashier was friendly. I was amazed at some of the things for sale, like the eel skin wallet that was out; how often do you see that? All in all, I will definitely be back; they had some very cool things around and once I'm small enough to fit into some more of the clothes, I will have to check them out.

Yelp
One of the first and best places I discovered in Tucson 4 years ago and I keep coming back... I've bought everything from cocktail dresses ($15-30), to vintage corsets ($8-15), silk blouses ($8-24), hats and lots n' lots of scarves ($5!). The men's collection is fun and impressive too and it's a wonderful place for costume pieces for Halloween when the rest of 4th Ave comes congested and overpriced that time of year. Beautiful, cozy corner that has never disappointed me and always keeps surprising me by their fantastic collection and incredible affordability. Shoes run small but they're gorgeous if you can find a pair that fits... Also noteworthy, the staff has always been warm and welcoming and so very very helpful. I cannot say enough about DV! By far my favorite place to shop in Tucson. Make out like a bandit and check this place out!!!

Yelp
As basically the most all-knowing vintage lover of all time, I've devised my own way of breaking down a vintage store. Behold... Eras: 1960's-1980's are most prevalent, with a few stragglers in the mix For whom: Women Sizes: Smallish sizes. Prices: Reasonable. Condition: Good. Some items were repaired and some beyond repair. Customer service: The sweet little hippie girl behind the counter was very helpful. Pros: This store is in a cute, fun area of town. Cons: Parking. Small! So tiny. I would have loved to see more of what they had, but was only passing through town and couldn't come back for them to take things out of storage for me. A shame... aaaaand scene!

Yelp
Service is awesome! Even though I didn't find exactly what I wanted, the salesperson was very helpful and friendly! I was on my lunch break, so I was on a time crunch. As soon as I walked in, he asked if I was looking for something in particular. I told him what I needed & that I didn't have much time, then off he went to get me a few dresses that fit the style I was looking for. There was a lot to choose from, but I didn't fall in love with any particular dress. (Lately I've been a picky shopper-not getting anything unless I absolutely love it or need it) I have to admit though, there are a lot of unique stuff here. If you are looking for vintage dresses or jewelry, stop on by! It's worth the look even if you're just browsing. =)

Yelp
I've stopped in to Desert Vintage a few times since moving to Tucson and it's really great! It literally smells like my grandma's house, which is a GOOD thing! You know the products are true to their era. The staff is always friendly and knows when to leave you alone as you browse, which always makes my shopping experience better. Whether you're looking for that missing link in your DIY outfit, some crazy cool costume jewelry, or even an entire costume check this place out!

Yelp
This place was A-Ok with me. Want to look like a weirdo for no reason? visit this place, they have any kind of costume piece you could want. Housed in what looks like a little house, there is an outpouring of stuff out onto the sidewalk and the front porch of the store. I found some really cool Tripp gloves for about $7 but I was not so much fond of the way they follow you around everywhere.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite vintage stores in the country, you MUST visit! The woman who runs the place is a total sweetheart and she curates a BEAUTIFUL selection of pieces. Absolutely full of class, silk blouses, party dresses, turquoise jewelry. I've always felt that a small, impeccably selected collection of vintage is better than those monster stores that carry a mish mash of everything, and this place proves it. I come here every year when I visit tucson and buy myself a birthday present :)

Yelp
By far, one of America's absolute best vintage shops presently in existence. Pristine and properly curated, this place is a true gem. The owners have impeccable taste! If you are visiting Tucson, you have to stop in and buy something.

Yelp
My favorite vintage shop on 4th Avenue. The place is small, but overall seems to have better stock than places twice it's size. Excellent bags & super nice employees - definitely worth regular visits!

Yelp
Beautiful vintage!!! Really decent prices for such beautiful vintage clothing! I just picked up five items for $125 and love love love what I got! Really sweet people working there as well!!!

Jessica S.

Yelp
I have followed DV for some time and supported their business wholeheartedly. A few months ago I was finally able to place my first order, a sweater for my mother as a holiday gift. Turns out the "excellent condition" medium sized sweater was a tiny xs with a rather large hole. I contacted Desert Vintage who just apologized and nothing more. I asked for some kind of refund for the troubles in mending the hole and they never replied. It's a beautifully curated site with overpriced items, but sadly don't expect any kind of service when you spend your money here.

Yelp
This place is amazing....of course I had to discover it after I moved out of the state but I always stop here whenever I'm in town. Every time I come here I find a few things to add to my expanding wardrobe. The selection is great, staff is knowledgable and helpful and the prices are spot on!

Yelp
This store has a great selection of 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's dresses and accessories for a reasonable price, and in great condition. I love coming here for accessories and unique looks for a good price. They have a small selection of lingerie, several flapper attire, and crinoline. Great place to find 50's poodle skirts and sweaters.

Yelp
One of the best vintage stores around! I have not had the opportunity to visit the shop in person but purchase items online all the time. The items are always so beautiful, and shipped promptly ! They are always in beautiful condition and have the sweetest cards attached to them. Anytime I reach out with a question they are quick to respond with kind, detailed emails. I am a loyal customer to Desert Vintage, thank you for everything !

Yelp
So much aloha for this vintage oasis in the desert!!! The owners are SUPER CUTE and offered to share their snacks with me :) which was much appreciated because it was very warm in Tucson the day of my visit. I ended up leaving with several bags of vintage treasures including a number of 1950s gowns that I plan to wear the next time I go dancing!!!!!

Stella R.

Yelp
I LOVE Desert Vintage. I always find at least one treasure when I go in. I live in Portland where the thrifting is great, but Desert Vintage takes the cake.

La Z.

Yelp
Nicely picked items, but super expensive. Save your time. Unless your willing to pay over 70 for a vintage dress, head to the goodwill or tucson thrift.

Sue S.

Yelp
New owners have made this place enchanted. Really great vintage that is styled to inspire.

Yelp
this great little shop has changed owners and has a whole new look. it's a lovely store, but they specialize in top-of-the-line vintage now and the prices reflect that. looking for a flawless 40s or 50s dress, this is the place.
