NYC’s Local Law 1932-A Explained

"Owned by Roni Mazumdar, this restaurant has relied on the temporary suspension of personal-liability provisions to gain breathing room and negotiating leverage with landlords; Mazumdar warns that losing that protection would be a potentially fatal blow. Outdoor dining isn’t a workable substitute at this location because nearby bus stops, fire hydrants and busy intersections make expanding seating impossible, leaving rent as a flat, crushing cost while sales remain limited amid an uncertain timeline for recovery." - Chris Crowley

ordered naan and butter chicken and paid $30 for two items. I usually don’t leave reviews, but I was quite disappointed this time. I visited because of the Indian fellowship and specifically ordered garlic naan, but it looked like regular naan with very little garlic. The butter chicken portion was also smaller than expected. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be visiting again. Thank you.

⭐️ Review I visited this Indian restaurant today. Food: Tasty and good in quality. Service: Very disappointing. Staff didn’t smile, didn’t respond properly, and the atmosphere was not welcoming.(-1000000000%) Packaging: Quantity was less than expected and not sufficient.(-600%) I initially planned to dine in, but because of the poor service and atmosphere, I switched to takeout. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 👉 Food is good, but service and customer care need major improvement. 😓When I politely asked for a little chili powder with punugu, the response felt rude and careless, as if they were just throwing it on. That left me feeling uncomfortable and sad. I switched to takeout.

Nice food… We often stop by this South Indian restaurant for tea and snacks. Their chocolate pastry and traditional masala dosa are my favorites. Their non-vegetarian biriyani is great; however, we find the amount of spice to be excessive. Don't miss their weekend breakfast buffet, which offers a wide variety of delectable food at affordable prices. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food serving time was not excessively long. The atmosphere here brings back memories of our time in college back home.

Perfect stop for snacks , and *Iranichai* Best in Town . Mistakes happened everywhere, don’t judge by quick decisions. Their Brownie with ice cream is a must try.The amazing part is they have introduced fruit juices and shakes freshly made upon order. Mutton ghee roast biryani has become my to go food!

For me to write a bad review about a restaurant, it’s because I’ve given multiple chances and the restaurant continues to disappoint. This restaurant used to be called Mellow Mana and it was my husband’s and my favorite. This new ownership unfortunately nose dived this restaurant to the ground. The food was mediocre and the service was terrible. We ordered by phone and the person who took our order said it would take 20 minutes. When my husband went there to pick up our order after 20 minutes, he was about to leave until he realized half our order was missing. He went back and the server said to wait five more minutes, so he did. 15 minutes later the order came out. By then our food was cold and they didn’t even offer to comp for a meal, which is the least at this point that a restaurant should do. The butter chicken was more tomato tasting and bland, the paneer was so dry. To top the icing, he asked if he could pay with GooglePay and she said no only Apple Pay. If it weren’t for him insisting to try, he would have not been able to pay. The server is incompetent and has been for the last 3 times or so we have ordered. Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else. $34 was not worth our meal.

Loved coming here with my Indian friends after work! Great selection of healthy snacks and the Chai is just delicious! You feel great ambiance and sense of community here.

If you are looking for authentic Indian snacks, and foods at reasonable price, this is the right place for you. It feels like college canteen. Their snacks are too good, special addition would be the Deshi Chai. Chicken 65 biriyani is highly recommended. A small deshi corner at Houston.

Very bad experience. I ordered Gutti Vankaya curry, it was not fresh at all and looked like it was reheated by adding water. I got naan as complimentary, but it was the worst. I was not expecting great taste, but at least don’t serve food that smells.
