Design Apartments "Im Holländerhaus"

The staff at check-in was so welcoming and kind, which made me feel right at home from the start. The location is perfect, with everything nearby, and the apartment’s design is beautiful and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean, and the whole experience was flawless. Can’t wait to come back!

I stayed in 2 properties with Designapartments Potsdam from early March to end of May in Geschwister-Scholl Strasse and Hermann Elfing Strasse for business. The first impression: it is a stylish flat. But soon you realize it is superficial decor over quality and service. Behind my first cooker there was no tiles, just paint. As there was no cupboards or build in space 2 hoovers were kept in the corners of my living room. The cleaners come very erratically and I had to complain they do not wash the floors and removed fat spiderwebs in corners. They did remove bagged bottles from the kitchen however, for which I had paid deposits in the shop opposite. Twice there was no heating for a couple of days. I had to vacate the first flat because of a child running above from 6 am at times! The second top floor flat had a balcony next to the bedroom window where neighbors would talk until the early hours. The sofa base had no cover, just foam. I enquired if it was at the cleaners, but no. Window black out insufficient. In both flats the fridge did not cool even on the highest setting. Anything positive? The beds were comfortable. For people staying a day or so this might be OK accommodation.

The impeccably clean and glamorous design created a welcoming atmosphere, making it a joy to relax and enjoy our time. Situated in the heart of Potsdam, the location couldn't have been more perfect. Every detail, from the stylish decor to the spotless surroundings, contributed to a truly uplifting experience. I highly recommend this place—our stay here was absolutely delightful!

We really enjoyed staying in this spacious apartment that was perfect for our large group. The separate bedrooms provided privacy, and the well-equipped kitchen and living room made group meals a breeze. The apartment’s convenient location allows it to easily access restaurants, bars, and supermarkets within walking distance. Overall, great stay!

I figured out why the mixed reviews. The actual physical apartments are nice. Floors nice. Service is typical of apartments being rented by companies buying apartments and renting them to tourists—so not good. Our apartment on Neuen Garten was fine. Very nice floors. Kitchen well equipped. Sharp knives and unscratched pans. But there is a sign saying don’t make a mess of the kitchen for the next guest. Which begs the question, who cleans when it is kind of messy but not that messy?—no one. The WiFi is bad. 100ms ping with little download bandwidth and no upload bandwidth. Unusable except for email. The rooms are not hotel clean. They are apartment clean like if you left your home unused for a couple weeks. So dusty and smells like you would expect. They have zero artificial ventilation

AVOID!! Rude as hell. We stood outside waiting with our suitcases in 30C and when they eventually arrived after keeping us waiting 45 mins they looked at us rudely as if we were an annoyance without apologizing and barked at us what we are doing there, that is the level they are operating at 😐We had booked months in advance and provided our arrivaltime. Freakishly weird behaviour towards customers who keep you employed. Rooms sucked and 2 of us had to go get a hotel as it was not possible for us all to squeeze into the room that was falsely advertised for 4. Bathroom access was through the bedroom and the fridge was broken. No AC whatsoever and no fan provided. Horrible experience.

Very nice appartement, nicely located in downtown Potsdam. Lively shopping district 5 mns by foot.The rooms were spacious & clean. All in all very satisfied of my stay.
