Really enjoyed my visit to Design Tasmania today. The craftsmanship in the woodwork is incredible — each piece feels like art with a story. Peaceful space to wander and appreciate local design.

A fantastic gallery and exhibition space for local designers and craftspeople to showcase their amazing creations. Some beautiful pieces on display and some for sale. It is inspiring to know there is such wonderfully talented people out there who can firstly imagine a design concept and then actually build the real thing with such incredible skill and precision. Definitely worth a visit.

Brilliant place to visit displaying hand crafted furniture and craft items. Has a shop but brace yourself. Quality artisan work cost a bob or two. Right next to the city park as well. Free entry.

Beautiful, wooden pieces!! furniture for my future dream home*** there is a merchant side and a museum side. Museum cost $4-6, but free for local residents. Situated next to City Park, suitable for drop in when visiting Farmer market on Saturday.

Absolutely loved this gallery. It won't take you too long but they really have stunning pieces and they display them really well. The shop has beautiful things too (very dangerous!) and staff were adorable on both sides.

Some interesting wooden pieces on permanent display. With a small retail sales area. When we visited there was a 'cement' exhibit also running. This place is quite different to how I remember it. I'm sure there used to be a much wider range of locally made Tasmanian wood products for sale. Now it seems to be more focused on the exhibition side of thins.

Lots of interesting pieces to look at and even some to buy! Nice spaces that have been tastefully fitted out to show off some wonderful art - the shop also has some amazing Tasmania items to buy!
