"An Alpine getaway doesn’t have to involve a rustic wooden chalet. Austria 's Bergland Sölden mixes traditional elements with modern architecture to create a new kind of contemporary Alpine lifestyle. A former ski champion turned farmer and hotelier demolished the old Bergland Hotel and set about creating an oasis for active travelers. Designers Köck & Bachler mixed larch wood and natural stone as the foundation with contemporary elements to create spacious rooms crafted by local tradespeople. Rooms and suites reflect an understated luxury, with plush beds accented by rich purple pillows, and wood flooring. Pro: Both breakfast and dinner in the half board are very good. Especially dinner - different menus every day. Room is very new and clean. Staff are very good. Good location in the town. Good service. Con: Facilities are not really usable. Outdoor pool is too cold, indoor pool is too small. Spa is NUDE ONLY ALL DAY. Hotel owner asked for guest opinion during dinner, I told him Spa can be divided by area or time of the day, so those who don’t want to use nude spa can use this facility too. He didn’t accept this guest opinion and rejected in a not very good way…… why bother ask at all? Generally fine, but given the price, we were hoping to use the facilities and swim - we didn’t manage to swim in the whole stay. Next time in Solden, I’ll choose other hotels with either usable facilities or lower price.

I completely have nothing to say to this hotel!! It is deserved 4star!! Staff to hygiene!! Look at attitude how they responded react to all reviews. I should have read this before chose to stay. It is nightmare and ruins my new year holiday. The management with this arrogant attitude will pay them back!! Be careful with the bills that they will put something wrong! They can do anything wrong, out of the standard without responsibility, service , hygiene! It is ridiculous to ripped 482 Euro which I decided to early check out. I don’t mind to pay this amount but this attitude to run business, no spirit and no responsibility. They can not reflect themselves. It is such a pity to have head of management team like this. This is 2026, it is decade of experience. I hope you update your knowledge to run business. I totally recommend Das Central hotel, it is much nicer for all experience and service!! Attention that this hotel is just 4star do not expect more than that!!

The hotel is nice, rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly. I’d say the best part about it is the proximity to the ski lifts. However, the Half Board package is what I regret getting. You are limited to a set menu that changes daily. It’s Michelin star food wannabe. While it could be nice for a day or two, eating like that for a week is tiring and we ended up skipping most of the dinners we already pre-paid for. For what we paid the hotel is decent and we would come back, just without the half-board this time.

We had a wonderful seven night visit at the Bergland Hotel. The people make it an extra special place to stay. A huge thank you to Sigi (the owner) and his team! Luciana set the tone as soon as we entered the dining room. She was upbeat, fun, and knowledgable. Jan and Sophie and the rest of the staff are lovely as well. Lorena at the bar is a gem, and Lilla in the spa has magic in her hands. I lost my voice during our stay and Luciana and Lorena were quick to offer me a cup of tea or hot water with lemon. They were attentive without being obtrusive. They treated us so kindly; very kid friendly.||The hotel is beautiful, but not stuffy or pretentious. We stayed here with two kids (9 and 14) with a focus on mountain biking (incredible by the way!). You can't beat the location. And the people in the bike shop attached to the hotel are also fantastic. FYI... you will be woken up by church bells at 6am. We loved it! Make sure to sign up for Alpaca Yoga or a hike with Sigi!

Very disappointing stay for a crazy expensive price. Nobody to help with luggages , slow receptionists, 40 min check in, no drop off service, 45€/night parking…don’t waste your time and surely don’t expect any 5 stars service.

Wow wow, how can I describe how happy I am after staying at this hotel! The enthusiasm of the people working there is what makes the huge difference, each and every one of them make you feel that they want to happily help and make you feel comfortable. I was welcomed with a nice fruit salad in my room. Staff & Service 🔝 Breakfast 🔝 Rooms, cleanness and comfort 🔝 Location 🔝 Spa & Pools 🔝

First class welcome from the reception team.||The reception area is very spacious and welcoming.||The furniture in reception however is not placed correctly.||The bar if fully stocked with everything you would want. ||The bar furniture, like reception is not placed correctly, , it can also be said for the furniture in the lounge next to the bar. Not placed correctly, you should not have to climb through seated groups to get to an empty table.||The rooms are finished to a fantastic standard. A mixture of traditional and modern. I did report two room faults on the evening of my arrival and they were not fixed prior to me leaving one week later.||First class welcome from the dining room staff. A really well appointed dining room. ||There were a few issues with the food. ||The selection at the buffet was fantastic however the quality of some of the dishes on the buffet were poor.||There seemed to be different menus for different guests and that was based on seeing food being delivered to tables that was never offered at my table. ||Now, the quality of food has been highlighted by previous guests and conveniently brushed over , they do not always get the food correct.||They are trying to serve portions that you would expect to find in fine dinning restaurants but the quality of food is far from fine dining.||I would ask the chef to taste the food before it leaves the dining room and that goes for the buffet, taste the food before it goes on the buffet. ||The quality of prepared food is either fantastic or inedible. During my stay, the plates from my table were either returned cleared of everything or returned full.||The spa, fantastic, clean warm and comfortable, actually, outstanding. The facilities are outstanding.||Look, this is a great spot in a great location with great people working in this hotel so if you stay then you will have a great time, sort the quality of the prepared food out then this will become a fantastic spot.||Just as an aside, as i said, some people were eating food our table wasn’t offered so maybe there is a tiered menu offering and if there is then this has to be made clear to all the guests.
