Like others have said, the place is dated and a renovation would do it well. With that said, this is a great hotel when you consider the price. We stayed for two nights using an Amazon Local discount ($45 per night) and the amenities include for that price are difficult to beat. The only additional fees, which were not hidden at all, were the ridiculous 13% tax and the $4 resort fee. The resort fee entitles you to free Wifi with decent signal, free parking, 24 hour pool, and computer usage. The place also had free breakfast.
The Wifi was good but I had better signal with my cell phone than on the Wifi. It's good to have it though just in case.
The pool we never used because we were there for the parks and only used the hotel to sleep.
The computer we also never used. This is the era of smartphones, after all.
The breakfast we skipped both days because it didn't seem appetizing to us. It consist of a buffet style eating area, with all you can eat muffins, bagels, cereal, coffee, orange and Apple juice (not 100% juice - parents be warned), French Toast, waffles, and pancakes. The pancakes and waffles were of the frozen type and you had to use the toaster to warm them up before you ate them.
I wonder if they store the leftovers for the next day.
As for the coffee, I'm used to better tasting coffee so to me what they had to offer was horrid. Serves well to wake you up, though.
That covers the amenities, which I wanted to talk about first because I consider that to be out of the norm for a $45/night hotel 4 miles from Disney.
The room itself was clean and tidy. It had a microwave and mini-fridge as well as a mini-bathroom. The bathroom shower head was dirty and the water pressure was not the best. The toilet flush was weak. The A/C worked just fine, and the TV was big enough. But you're not getting a room this cheap to watch TV all day are you?
I was not required to interact with the staff at all except for the check-in process, but during the check-in there was what seemed to be the manager of the hotel talking very condescendingly to the receptionist and just being flat-out rude in front of me and my friends. We're guests to your hotel; there is no reason for you to create such a nasty image of your hotel just through your actions. That's really the only negative to this hotel and it had nothing to do with my stay.
Anyway, for the price and location, this is a great hotel. I'd recommend it.
