Very nice, spacious, clean and great views. There’s a picnic bench for the humans and some large objects the dogs can interact with. There’s even clean up stations and trash cans. I appreciate the double gated entrance. 10/10 highly recommend! (Just always plz clean up after your fur babies, be a responsible dog owner!!!)

Google
Great no-fee, off-leash space for fur-babies to play unencumbered. Both shaded and sunny areas. Bring water, there are some bowls in the play area. Bags are also available. All users can be volunteers by cleaning up after their own pet and emptying full disposal bins.

Nice size dog park. Not much parking or places to sit down. Enter and exit through the storage container. Unfortunately the container smells like a bum has been using it as a bathroom

Google
Not too much to offer other than space, but it is truly my dog's favorite dog park! Easy to get to, plenty of (street) parking and I always meet very nice people there.

Great little area..my furbaby was busy the entire visit taking in all the previous scents the furbabies before her left LOL One thing I might mention tho, the stands inside the area were all out of bags for collecting doggie doo unfortunately, so you may want to bring your own just in case. Luckily we didn't need one ~And there's a picnic table under a shade tree toward the back!

Been going to this park for a little while now and when they took away the storage container entrance that helped with the bad smell but since then people must be thinking the city is supposed to clean up behind our pets. Not!!!!! You know that comes with the use of the park TO ALL OF YOU LAZY DOGS CLEAN UP BEHIND YOUR PETS. Even when there's no one watching your nasty behinds. Don't mess this up........ please.

Yelp
The park is still here. We stopped by Friday at 2.30. No dogs though... so my Beaux was bored after he took in the smells and left a few smells just in case some would be friends stop by we left pictures on google for anyone interested and I'll try to upload them here on yelp. The park is a good size. Pawrents don't pick up behind their fur baby's which is annoying. We did enjoy walking around Roosevelt Park and there were a couple other dogs walking their

Yelp
Still a great, free dog park. Still hardly ever any dogs when we go, so, depending on the mood, we might drive by and if there's no one here we go to Riverside. The one off-putting thing I've noticed is some people treat this place like it is their private yard and will bring reactive or aggressive dogs here. I have had someone sit in their car waiting for me and my dog to leave so they can come in with their dog who "doesn't like other dogs". Also, my dog escaped once because someone didn't close both doors. So, like any dog park, or place in public really, the real menace is people messing things up.

Yelp
If you own a dog,, you're responsible for the well being of your man's best friend. That would mean taking them for a walk, feeding them the right diet, playing with them and taking then to the doggie parks. Here they can learn to associate themselves with other dogs. It's good for their happiness and we'll being. This doggie park happens to be free, I don't really know the whole details, but there's a big pet smart sign on the fence. I take it that it was donated by the city and pet smart? Anyways, the play area is sizable, enough for dogs to run around inside and play til they tire themselves out. Bring a big bottle of water and a bowl so you can quench their thirst as well. Dog owners who bring their dogs are very nice. Besides, what would a dog park be without dogs and their owners. Anyways, I'm just happy there's a dog park close by and it's free. You go Detroit!! Weeeeeee!

Yelp
Me love this dog park... FREE and plenty of room. The park is well maintained by volunteers who also love the park as well. You can check them out on Facebook under: DETROIT DOG PARK.

Yelp
Big and mostly clean. My dogs liked running around. There weren't any other people or dogs fir the hour we were there. Unfortunately some users are not considerate of others as there was poop and I had to pick it up so my dogs would step on it. Also the container needs to be cleaned / washed. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable time.

Yelp
Small, but just fine. And it's no muss, no fuss, because it's free and doesn't require an application or membership. I went here today after being refused admission at yet another dog park nearby - apparently just about every dog park now has hurdles to go over before the quadruped can be part of the social scene there. And, surprisingly, it's right next to the spectacular ruin of the old Michigan Central Train Station, something I've seen images of in countless magazines and, of course, online. It's right next to it! Which is a little bizarre at first, to be honest. But, the dogs don't seem to care at all. Yes, I'll fill out the forms and gain admission to a dog park that's closer to where I live. But, in the interim, this is a great option.

Yelp
I have a bigger, high energy dog and this park was large enough for her to run around and play! Very pleased with our experience there. Other owners seemed on top of their own dogs compared to some of the other parks I've been to where people tend to just bury their noses in their phones. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Apparently there are dog parks in downtown detroit. It is pretty nice...located right next to the historical train station ^_^ Glad to see the city of Detroit improving ^_^ its free and the locals are friendly. Open from 7am to 10pm.

Yelp
My terrier got attacked here by a Doberman and pitbull, ended up needing a drain tube in his leg, pain killers, and antibiotics- thank God it wasn't worse. Be careful if you bring your small dog here. There is no division between big and small dogs play areas. :/

Claire B.

Yelp
Really small. The park is filled with toys. Not worth a drive if you can't get there in 15 minutes. The background of the train station is cool, My main reason for going.

Benjamin H.

Yelp
My experience with this place has been awesome.. Everyone really friendly, pups included and it's free unlike some places.. Which I don't think it should cost anyone. Over all 4 out of 5 stars for sure

Kamira J.

Yelp
This place is still open and still free. You have no excuse to not check it out! The scenery is great as well. By far my favorite dog park.
