"A Dance Journey Across the Islands On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, catch a performance of Devdan—Treasure of the Archipelago . The 90-minute show, inspired by Indonesia's cultural diversity, is a kind of Balinese Cirque du Soleil. It features a fusion of traditional Indonesian dance with modern contemporary dance and aerial acrobatics. While highly entertaining, the show also offers an insightful introduction to the history and diversity of the cultures of Sumatra, Java, Borneo, and Papua."

Incredible performance at the Nusa Dua Theatre! I was able to do a charter performance for a group of 100 international students and everyone absolutely loved it! We were able to do some speeches at the beginning and have our logo on the screens on stage at the beginning, and the logo even came back on at the end during the final number which created an amazing effect. We were then allowed to take photos with the performers on stage in their costumes which was an extra bonus. The show was full of different dances and traditions from across Indonesia, and each number was breathtaking. We appreciated the small screens which popped up now and then to explain the cultural importance of a dance or an item of clothing, so not only was it stunning to watch, but also educational at the same time. The skill, talent and production of the whole performance was top notch and similar to watching something like the Lion King at the West End in London. 100% recommend to everyone of all ages and nationalities. A must see when in Nusa Dua!!

The Devdan Show in Bali is outstanding. The performers are highly skilled, blending traditional Indonesian dance with modern acrobatics, fire, and aerial stunts. Every segment feels purposeful and visually captivating. The production quality is top-notch. Lighting, costumes, and music are all executed with precision. The show includes strong audience interaction, which adds energy and keeps the crowd engaged throughout. VIP seating is expensive but absolutely worth it. The view is excellent, and the experience ends with a personal photo opportunity with the cast. That moment alone made the upgrade worthwhile. This performance easily ranks among the best live shows in Bali, if not worldwide. If you're visiting, make time for it. You will not be disappointed.

Devdan is a full 1 hour 40 minutes of pure, unapologetic spectacle. Bright, dazzling costumes burst with color, dancers move with such precision you’d swear gravity doesn’t apply in Bali, and the showcase takes you across Indonesia’s vast archipelago without ever leaving your cushioned seat. The costumes are bold, the dances intricate and hypnotic. One moment you’re watching the elegance of Balinese temple-inspired moves, the next you’re transported to Papua with energetic rhythms that make your heart race. It’s like speed-dating Indonesia’s culture, only far more glamorous and without the awkward small talk. Best part? You don’t need to spend days zigzagging around Bali trying to catch different dances in different villages. Devdan gives it all to you in one sitting, neatly packaged and perfectly choreographed. Efficiency level: 10/10. It’s also family-friendly, which means even the kids will stay wide-eyed instead of zoning out on their iPads. Everyone walks out entertained, slightly more cultured, and probably humming music they don’t even recognize. If you want a crash course in Indonesia’s cultural richness, Devdan is your ticket.

If you are in Nusa Dua, I highly recommend watching this show one evening. I think it deserves much more marketing, as it’s not very well-known. You get to see traditional dances and costumes from different regions of Indonesia. We had a really great time.

This is one of the best shows that I have witnessed so far. It's quite far from my hotel but travelling an hour to get to the venue is worth spending. Staff are also accommodating.
