Dhawa Ihuru

It is a small island, a fantastic place for snorkelling. It is circled with beautiful corals, with many different kinds of fishes living around. If you are lucky, you can even see small sharks around the dock. But no worries they are not biting sharks. ||Service here is five star. Appreciate the warm welcome and great service of Ms Holly, a kind girl from Beijing always with smiles on her face. ||This is a kids friendly hotel. Food and drinks are nice. It has been a long time since we felt lost in a place.

It was lovely coming back to Ihuru 18 years after our first visit. The resort is as cozy, tranquil and wonderful as we remembered. The island’s beautiful vegetation and bird life make it feel like a green oasis in the ocean, the villas are perfectly appointed, and the best part is the picture-perfect view and direct access to the palm-finged beach. Ihuru is also uniquely blessed with its house reef which is a mere meters from the beach and easily and safely accessed, making it perfect for snorkeling. The resort is also a model of sustainability in everything they do, from recycling to their marine conservation activities. All staff are very kind, friendly and helpful, making guests feel very comfortable and well taken care of. We hope to be able to come back again in the future.

Our stay at Dhawa Ihuru was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The island is breathtaking, crystal-clear waters, soft white sand, and one of the most beautiful reefs right at your doorstep. A special mention goes to Alsan, the diving instructor, who made our dives truly exceptional. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about the ocean. His guidance made us feel completely safe and confident underwater, and his love for the reef is contagious. Dining at Riveli Restaurant was a highlight every day. The variety, freshness, and flavor of the dishes were exceptional, and the staff were attentive and eager to accommodate any request. If you’re looking for a getaway or a serene escape surrounded by nature, Dhawa Ihuru is an absolute dream.

Nice and friendly staff, very good environment. I like Holy she is very helpful. Buffet dinner has a variety of food choices and yummy. Moose is very nice to our kid and always offering drinks or cute snacks for us.

The experience here was great as we got to snorkel around the whole island as well as eat the most delicious food. The staff here are so friendly. The kids room was the most fun as we got to play the playstation and paint!|the views were amazing aswell ☺️

Just got back from Dhawa Ihuru and honestly had the best time! The island is absolutely beautiful, calm, clean, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were super friendly and always made us feel welcome.||The food was really good too, plenty of variety and everything was fresh and tasty. We especially enjoyed the beachside dinners, such a nice vibe!||Big shoutout to our diving instructor Alsan, he was amazing! Super patient, fun to dive with, and made the whole experience so comfortable even for beginners. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.||Would 100% recommend Dhawa Ihuru to anyone visiting the Maldives! 🌴💦🐠

Returning to this specific island after it rebranded from Angsana to Dhawa Ihuru. I honestly think standards are still the same despite the rebranding. The decor is very island chic and what I remember fondly. The yellow beach chair is perfect and is like the perfect emblem of how bright cheerful and romantic the island still is. We love the island itself because of its coral reef and ease of access. The reef circles the island and is 1 km long. We did manage to snorkel most of its length despite the rougher ocean conditions during our visit. This is also a small island, almost perfectly circular and easy to navigate and walk around trying to lose some of the calories put on with the volume of good food available on the island. Service was so wonderful and special mention to Hameed and Adam for making our stay so comfortable and lovely. Our stay was too short to do guided snorkeling excursions or diving from the marine center. But talked with Viyam, Henry and Aman, who were very informative on options and as well on current environmental efforts to keep the coral healthy. Hopefully, something to look forward to for next time. The coral is still vibrant and beautiful (less so than I remember as the island was caught up in the 2016 bleaching event) and seems to be recovering thanks to the efforts of the staff at the marine center. Despite bad weather we still saw plenty of beautiful colorful fish and other ocean life. We also saw some megafauna too, turtles and reef sharks. Missed the sunsets and sunrises we were so entranced by the first time we were here but that was our bad luck with the weather. But just wanted to say: this island has some of the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises a person can encounter. Plan well and go when the weather is great (I hear February is great) but I’d go anytime of the year. I love this island ❤️

We had a truly wonderful holiday at Dhawa Ihuru! It was our 12th trip to the Maldives, so we can easily compare it with our previous stays at other resorts — and we were absolutely not disappointed, quite the opposite! The entire team is so warm and welcoming that you immediately feel at home.||A very special thank-you goes to our waiter Nihaad and our room boy Areef — both are doing an absolutely excellent job! We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to the dive center team: Sharath, Alsan, and Ali, as well as the boat crew — Suney, Moon, Ibrahim, and Saud. Thank you for showing us such beautiful dive sites and for the outstanding service on board, especially on my last day when we celebrated my 300th dive! ;-)||In summary, we can wholeheartedly recommend this resort to everyone — it truly deserves all the praise!
